Chapter 4: Entrance Exam

Life's always been easy for Bakugo Satsuki. Not only was she always told how beautiful and pretty she looked, but she was always told how great her quirk was. You would think that with those two things she would be favored by everyone. Well yeah, she was but all that didn't matter. To her nothing mattered as much anymore.
Satsuki is laying on her bed, the only sign of light in her room coming from her small picture frame with a picture of 5 year old Satsuki hugging a green haired boy. It's been more than 2 years since she last saw the green haired boy, Midoriyia Izuku. Everytime she thinks of him, she can't help but get a lump in her throat.
It's towards the end of February and almost time for the entrance exam at UA High School. Satsuki has been training everyday for the past 2 years, making sure to keep herself in tip top shape.

Sunday, Feb. 26th
Finally, it's the day that Satsuki has been waiting for, the entrance exam at UA High School. Satsuki is standing in front of the entrance gate of UA. She feels a shiver run down her spine as she takes her first step. Just then, she bumps into someone. Satsuki looks down and sees a brown haired girl, with a round face and rosy cheeks. Satsuki scowls at the girl for bumping into her.
"Watch where you're going, round face." Satsuki growls.
"I'm sorry." The girl apologizes, floating back on her feet. Satsuki ignores her apology and continues her way into UA. Off in the distance, a green haired teen is running through the streets, making his way to UA.
Satsuki makes her way through the auditorium, trying to find her assigned seat. Finally, Satsuki finds her seat only to be sitting next to the same brown haired girl from before. Satsuki rolls her eyes as she sits down in her seat.
"Hi! I'm sorry again for earlier, I'm Uraraka Ochaco." Uraraka extends her hand out. Satsuki gives Uraraka a once over and eventually begrudgingly shakes her hand.
"Bakugo Satsuki." Just then, loud music begins to play as a blonde haired man wearing leather appears on stage.
After a rather interesting orientation, each student is given a different battle arena to go to after changing into their workout clothes. Satsuki quickly changes into a black tank top with orange shorts. Satsuki follows her card and heads to training area C. When she arrives she looks around and notices a couple of interesting looking people. One of them is a huge guy with a mask covering his mouth and with multiple arms. Another guy with a weird head, a red haired guy and a girl with purple hair.
Just then the gate to the arena opens and without so much as a word, Satsuki blasts her way over the crowd and starts heading towards the arena.
"She's got the right idea, crime waits for no one! So go, go, go!" Present Mic orders as the rest of the teens start running into the arena.
Satsuki wastes no time as she sees several 2pt and 1pt robots. She quickly reaches them and uses her explosions, easily destroying them. With only 15 minutes given to them, Satsuki flies through the arena trying to destroy the most robots she can. Several minutes pass as Satsuki destroys two 3pt robots with her explosions.
"Alright listeners, only two minutes left before the end of the practical exam! So get a move on!" Present mic announces.
Just then, Satsuki feels the ground around her begin to tremble. She turns around and sees something large coming towards them. As the dust clears Satsuki sees a large robot, larger than all the buildings, making its way towards her. The robot starts destroying some of the buildings, making the participants run away.
Satsuki uses her explosions to fly away but hears some yelling behind her. Turning around, Satsuki sees some of the participants having trouble getting away. Satsuki lets out a sigh as she turns around and flies towards them. Satsuki quickly reaches them just as some of the debris is about to hit the others. Satsuki puts her hands together, making sure to use maximum power.
"DIE!" She yells, letting out a huge explosion, destroying all the debris around.

Monitoring Room
"I honestly thought she was just going to keep to herself but she is showing there is more to her than just brute force." A shadowy figure says. Other shadows begin to agree, except for one.

Training Arena C
"Move your asses and leave." Satsuki yells at the others. She flies up towards the roof of the buildings, getting out of the way. Just as she lands on the roof as a large gust of wind hits her, making her lose her balance but she manages to catch herself.
Satsuki turns towards the direction of the wind and gasps at what she sees. She sees another large robot, but this time without a head. Just then, she sees a flash of green just as it leaves her visions. She sees the shape of a person falling down but what stops her in her tracks is the sight of green hair on the person. Satsuki thinks of Izuku but just then the person leaves her vision. Satsuki blasts her way towards the direction of the destroyed robot but just as she gets close she hits an invisible wall.
"Sorry listener, gotta stay in your own test arena. And that's time, the practical exam is officially over. Get changed and head on home, party people!" Present Mic announces just as the alarm sounds throughout the arena.
"If I hurry then maybe I can see him as he gets out of the locker room." Satsuki thinks to herself. She blasts her way through everyone and reaches the locker room in seconds.
Satsuki quickly changes into her middle school uniform and makes her way out of the locker room. She makes her way towards the entrance gate and leans against the wall, waiting for everyone to make their way out. Slowly, one by one, students begin to leave the locker rooms and start to head on home.
Satsuki carefully watches, hoping that what she saw is real. After almost an hour of watching, she doesn't see the person she thought she saw.
"Maybe I just saw what I wanted to see?" She thinks to herself. So with great disappointment, Satsuki heads home.

Somewhere in UA
In an office in UA, Izuku is sitting with Nezu, Sorahiko and Toshinori drinking tea. Izuku is still wearing his green jumpsuit that Toshinori got him during his training. Toshinori looks at Izuku with pride. He's changed so much, physically and mentally. Izuku now stands at 5'8ft, with the body that most Olympic athletes wish they could have.
"I don't see the reason why you had to take the entrance exam, you're already in by recommendation." Sorahiko asks. Izuku chuckles as he scratches his cheeks.
"I just want to prove that I really belong here." Izuku receives a whack to the head as a response.
"Ha ha ha, you must be tired after this and your morning workout." Toshinori asks. Izuku gives him a slow nod as he sits back.

Few Hours Earlier
In Dagobah Beach, Toshinori and Izuku are both sitting together as they watch the sunrise. Toshinori wraps his scarf tighter, a scarf given to him by Inko on his birthday.
"Today's the day, right?" Toshinori asks.
"Yeah." Izuku nods.
"Here, take a look at this." Toshinori hands Izuku his phone, showing him a picture.
"W-What's this?" Izuku exclaims.
"That's you, right when we started training. You used to be so skinny and small, but look at you now!" Toshinori laughs out.
"Yeah, well it's all thanks to you. Thanks to all your support and training, I'm able to live my dream."
"How well can you use OFA?"
"I can use about 20% of OFA, 25% if I push it."
"It's incredible how much you have mastered OFA in only a year." Izuku checks his watch and gets up.
"I still have 3 hours till the exam starts. I should head home and get ready." Toshinori nods as he gets up as well.
"I know you'll do excellent, even though you're already in on recommendation."
"Thanks to you, as well as Sorahiko-san and Nezu-san."
"Alright, go home. You'll need to rest up to do your best." Izuku nods as they both head back to Toshinori's car. After returning home, Izuku takes a quick warm shower. Walking into his room, with a towel wrapped around his waist, Izuku looks at himself in his mirror. Even he's got to admit, he has changed in the last 2 years. Thanks to his training he's faster, stronger and taller. Izuku looks at his short fluffy hair but what he really looks at is the burn mark on his cheek and neck. Izuku touches the burn mark and then slowly touches the cut marks on his abs.
"I'll never forget what I did, but that's all in the past." Izuku looks over at his alarm clock, seeing that he still has 2 hours left, quickly gets changed and heads out to catch the train.

Mustafa, Japan
Midoriya makes it to Mustafa with an hour to spare. After getting off the train, Izuku decides to take his time and walk through his old neighborhood. It felt strange, seeing all the things he wished he could forget. Flashes of his childhood begin to appear in his mind, especially the memories of a loud-mouth blonde that he wished he could forget.
Finally, after almost an hour of walking, Izuku arrives at UA. Walking towards the entrance gate, Izuku hears a familiar voice that he was hoping to avoid. Izuku looks ahead and sees an older Satsuki yelling at a girl on the floor before walking away. Izuku reluctantly walks over to the brown haired girl, extending a hand towards her.
"Need a hand?" Izuku gives the girl a smile. He sees the girl smile as she takes his hand.
"Thank you so much." The girl blushes as he pulls her up with ease.
"It's nothing." Izuku smiles as they both walk together towards the auditorium.
After orientation, Midoriya heads towards Arena B. Izuku looks around at his competition, silently wishing he had his notebook with him. Looking around, he sees the same brown haired girl from earlier. Izuku notices her hand trembling, most likely from the nerves.
So Izuku decides to walk over to her, to make sure she doesn't have anything to be nervous about. As he makes his way towards her, someone grabs his shoulder, stopping him from moving towards her. Midoriya looks to his right and sees a tall, blue haired teen with glasses.
"What do you think you're doing? Are you going to bother her before the exam starts?" The glasses wearing teen asks.
"I'm not gonna bother her. She's nervous, so I was gonna offer her some advice." Izuku grabs his hand and squeezes it, making the teen wince.
"Next time, don't touch me." Izuku lets go as he leaves the blue haired teen behind. Izuku reaches the girl, tapping on her shoulder to get her attention. She jumps from the surprise as she turns around to see Izuku.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you but I couldn't help but notice that you're a little nervous." Izuku gets a nod from the girl as she responds.
"I just really want to attend UA, my family is depending on it." The girl responds. Izuku gives her a smile as something hits him.
"Guess we never introduce ourselves, I'm Midoriya Izuku." Izuku extends his hand towards her once more. The brown haired girl takes his hand, giving him an excited handshake.
"I'm Uraraka Ochaco! Nice to meet you."
"Well Uraraka-san, I know you'll pass." Izuku assures her. Just then both teens turn their heads towards the gate, seeing them opening. Izuku smirks as he starts walking towards the gate."
"You better hurry or else I'll take out all the robots before you even get there." Izuku then summons OFA at 5% and speeds off towards the Arena.
"Another listener who's got the right idea! go, go, go!" The blonde pro-hero yells out. Soon all the teens begin to swarm the gate, trying to get to the arena first.
Izuku is only seen as a green blur as he zig zags through the arena, destroying as many robots as he can. After destroying a 3pt robot, Izuku hears a scream from the alley near him. Izuku wastes no time, quickly making his way towards the scream.
Izuku finds a girl surrounded by three robots. Izuku quickly jumps in, destroying one of the robots. He grabs the second one and smashes it into the third one, destroying the final one.
"T-Thank you." The girl thanks Izuku. He gives her a nod as he speeds off.

UA Monitoring Room
In the monitoring room, several shadows watch multiple screens with different angles of the arenas and the teen fighting the robots.
"This year's crop of students seem to be doing better than the previous years, especially these two." The shadow points out, specifically the screens showing Izuku and Satsuki destroying robots.
"Well I think it's time for the finale." A small shadow joyfully says, pressing a red button on his arm rest.

Arena B
Izuku smashes a 3pt robot when suddenly the ground begins to shake. Turning around, Izuku looks up to find a large robot making its way towards him and the rest of the teens. The large robot begins destroying the buildings around it.
"It's the 0pt robot!" Izuku thinks to himself. He sees everyone start running in the opposite directions as it approaches. Just as Izuku starts to turn around, he hears a cry coming from the direction of the robot. Izuku turns around and sees Uraraka on the ground, a huge piece of debris on her leg. Without a second thought, Izuku powers up OFA to 10% and speeds off towards her.
Izuku reaches her in seconds, using OFA to lift the debris from her leg. Picking her up, bridal style, Izuku carries her towards the gate. Izuku finds the blue haired teen from earlier, running away from the robot. He passes Uraraka to him as he turns around and heads back.
"I'll be right back." Izuku tells both teens as he disappears from their visions.
"Time to add a little juice." Izuku bumps up his output to 15% as he approaches the robot. In one swift movement, Izuku jumps into the air, aiming at the robot's head. He pulls his arms back as Toshinori's words once again resonate in his head.
"Clench your buttcheeks and yell out with all your might,"
"SMASH!"
"SMASH!" Izuku's punch completely destroys the top half of the large robot. Every teen in the arena looks up to Izuku, eyes wide in shock, stopping in their tracks. Izuku lands back down on the ground with ease, dusting himself off as he hears Present Mic speak.
"Sorry listener, gotta stay in your own test arena. And that's time, the practical exam is officially over. Get changed and head on home, party people!" Izuku looks around and finally spots Uraraka as she is helped by the blue haired teen. Walking up to her, Izuku helps her sit down.
"Hey, you okay Uraraka-san?" Izuku asks her.
"I think I rolled my ankle." Uraraka replies.
"Here, let me help you to the infirmary." Izuku picks her up once more, bridal style.
"Thank you." Uraraka looks away, trying to hide the blush on her face.
After carrying Uraraka to Shuzenji, Izuku makes his way towards Toshinori's office, where he knows Toshinori, Sorahiko and Nezu will probably be. It was a little surprising to find out that Toshinori was going to be working at UA next year but he is happy to have a familiar face.
As Izuku makes his way to the office room, he looks out the window and sees Satsuki. To him it seems like she is almost looking for someone. Izuku looks aways from her and keeps walking away.

Present Time, UA High
"I'm not really that tired. Maybe it's from all the stamina training we did at the beginning." Izuku points out. Toshinori chuckles as he hands Izuku another rice ball.
"Well I can firmly say that your performance in today's entrance exam further proves how Midoriya-kun has made OFA his very own." The white mammal points out.
"Thank you, Nezu-san." Izuku thanks the mammal, just then his phone begins to ring. After answering, Izuku spends about 5 minutes on the phone before hanging up. "Sorry, my mom wanted to know how I did. She's making dinner tonight and she wanted to know if you all wanted to join us?" Izuku asks.
"Thank you for the invitation, but I must decline as I have much work to do." Nezu replies.
"Yeah, I have to decline too but thank your mother for the invitation." Sorahiko says.
"Well I will join you for dinner." Toshinori says. Izuku nods as both OFA users grabs their stuff and make their way out of the office.

1 week later; Sunday, March 5th
In the Bakugo home, Satsuki is laying in her bed, still wondering if she really saw who she thinks she saw. Satsuki looks at her phone once again just as her mother calls her.
"Satsuki! Get your ass down here, you got a letter from UA!" Her mother yells. Satsuki quickly gets up and sprints down stairs, towards the living room. She quickly swipes the letter from her mom and runs back up the stairs, despite the protest from her parents.
Satsuki shuts her door and sits on her desk as she quickly rips open the letter, dropping a small disk on her desk. Satsuki presses the button, revealing a holographic screen. On the screen is Satsuki's childhood hero, All Might.
"HELLO, BAKUGO SATSUKI! YOU MUST BE WONDERING WHY I'M ON THE SCREEN, WELL IT'S BECAUSE I'M THE NEW HEROICS CLASS INSTRUCTOR AT UA." All Might tells her. Satsuki can't help but stare in awe as All Might continues.
"FOR STARTERS, CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE PASSED THE WRITTEN TEST WITH FLYING COLORS, LANDING YOU ON SPOT NUMBER 5. ON THE PRACTICAL TEST, YOU EXCELLED MORE THAN MOST OF THE STUDENTS." Satsuki pumps her fist in the air, proud that all the hours of studying hero law were put to good use.
"ON THE PRACTICAL TEST YOU SCORED 77 VILLAIN POINTS." Satsuki smirks, knowing she did better than everyone in her test arena.
"BUT NOT ONLY DID YOU ELIMINATE THE TARGETS BUT YOU ALSO SAVED A FEW PEOPLE ALONG THE WAY, SHOWING ALL THE UA FACULTY THAT NOT ONLY CAN YOU FIGHT VILLAINS BUT PROTECT PEOPLE AWS WELL. SO FOR THAT YOU RECIEVED 20 RESCUE POINTS, BRINGING YOUR TOTALS TO 97 TOTAL POINTS. WITH THAT, YOU ARE RANKS NUMBER 2." Satsuki is shocked, not because of her score but because someone else got a higher score than her. She turns back to the screen, watching All Might extend his hand.
"BAKUGO SATSUKI, WELCOME TO THE HERO ACADEMIA. YOU HAVE HAVE TO REPORT ON SUNDAY, APRIL 9TH IN CLASS 1-A TO MEET YOUR NEW TEACHER. FOR NOW THAT IS ALL AND ONCE MORE, CONGRATULATIONS." The screen goes black as the holographic message ends. Just then, Satsuki does something that she has never done in her life, she squeals in delight.

Also, should Satsuki have a love rival for Izuku, someone that not just has a crush on him but someone who will actually do something about it? Setsuna? Mina? Or maybe Melissa or Nejire?
