CH 12
"Sam you are going great"
"Thanks" he gives her a kiss then another contraction hits.
"I wounder how going to give birth first" jack said
"What do you mean Jack?"
"Out of Janet, Ista and Claire?"
"I think Janet will give birth first"
"You think so?"
"Yeah"
"Would you like any thing, drink, yoyo?"
"No just you for now"
"That I can handle" then another contraction hit, when it pass Jack wipe her for head with a cool wet cloth while looking at her.
"You know by now every one would have heard about you being in labour"
"True"
"What would you like to do when we get back to earth?"
"Blue jello and coffee" jack grin
"Me steak, cake and pie"
"Mmm you making me hungry" then another contraction hit, so she breath till it pass
"Want a drink Sam?"
"Yes thanks" He got her a cup of water and helps her up so she could take a mouth full
"Thanks"
"So what else would you like to have when we get home?" he put the cup back on the tray
"Junk food, chocolate, cookies, ice cream, diet sodas, chips"
"Sounds good to me" then Janet and Kate return.
"Ok Sam let see how you are doing" she sat down al lifted the blanket
"Ok sam you are fully dilated, on the next contraction, I want you to push"
"Ok" Kate was getting every thing ready when another contraction hit, so she push like she wanted to do then relax.
"You're crowning already, when you're ready Sam"
Then another contraction hit, so she push, then the head and came out shoulder came out, she push again, then the other shoulder came out and they baby slide out with easy, then they heard it cry
"It's a boy"
"Jacob Mark O'Neill"
"Dad would like that" sam said
"Jack would you like to cut the cord?"
"Of cause I would"
Jack took the sissies from Janet hands and cut the cord, and then she wraps him up in a towel and then passed him to Jack whom he put into sam arms.
"He beautiful Sam"
"Yes he is" when he open his eyes
"Hey he got you eyes," Jack said when Jake open his eyes they were blue like Sam, which made them both smile.
"Jack can you hold him?"
"Sure" after he pick his son up,
Sam started pushing again, it was the placenta, after it came out, Janet started cleaning Sam up, then ten minutes later Jack help sit Sam up as part of the bed was tilted so Sam could lean back and breast feed their son. Half an hour later Jack and the boys were able to see Sam and the baby since she was moved into a private room.
"Hey how are you feeling?"
"Good thanks dad" she pass Jake to him
"He beautiful, what have you named him"
"Jacob Mark O'Neill" Jacob looked up and smiled
"You name him after me?"
"Yes"
"I'm honoured" he showed George, Mathew and Adam their baby brother, they all smile when they saw him. They all talk for half an hour before they left so sam could get some rest. Every one is happy for Jack and Sam and the new addition to the family. Sam spent the night in the hospital, when she walk out with Jake in her arms people there went to see the new born and smile when they saw him. Every one keep on working since there was still a lot to do.
Two days later, the cargo ship showed up after being away for a month, the guys on the ship was all tried, dirty and hungry. After Jack and his group return after doing some mapping of the island, he started send teams out for a month to carry one mapping the planet as well check out villagers and caves. The leader of the group showed Jack what they done so far and what they have found on the computer, after giving Jack a ruff briefing on what the group did, he let the guy go and get clean up.
The next morning, the group gave jack a briefing on that the found while checking the area out. They went up one river and found ten villagers with survivors in all of them. So they put them all together in one village and they check out the hills that were two hour walk away, so they took the cargo ship into the area and had to be ring down, they found thirty two caves full of cocoons.
It took them three days to zat them all since they all took turned of doing that as well keeping a look out for any wolfs. Which there were packs of them that showed up and had no choice but to shoot some of them when they try to attack them. The others wolf got the message and back off but they were watching them the whole time. Even now and then some try to attack, only ended up being zat.
When they were finished there as well help the villages get together in one village, they moved on after they planet seeds so in year time they all will have fresh fruit to eat so they wont stave then. Since they got few fruits and berries to eat as well the fish from the river. They left a zat with them just in case any wolfs showed up, which jack told each group to do so they can protect them selves of the wolfs show up and attack one of them. They were able to check four rivers before returning back home. The briefing lasted till lunchtime, so he dismisses the group, then he went to see Sam who was at home breast-feeding their son.
"Hey how did it go?"
"Good they check out four rivers, lots of villages, up one river there was ten village with survivors. To the group spoke to every one from the villages since there wasn't many of them and they all decided to group together in one village and they found over thrifty caves full off cocoons"
"Ok my god that the most every out of all the groups that been sent out"
"I know and not just that, they're at lest another six months before those things awaken for there feed again"
"At lest we made a start"
"I know, and only fifteen percent of the island has been check out so far" he sat down next to her rubbing his hands over his face and hair.
"At lest those survivors have got a better chance now then they did before"
"I know" Sam moved her son to her shoulder and started patting his back.
"Jack I've been thinking"
"What have you been thinking about Sam?"
"Well why not sent out two cargo ships for the next six months before those things awaken and just get the guys to take care of those creatures before they woken up and start breading and feeding. One can take the east and the other to the west, at lest the villagers well have a better chance then"
"I know there was a reason why I love you Sam" he gives her a kiss and smile
"I better get two groups sorted out then" he went to get up but Sam grab his arm, he turned and look at her
"Lunch first only one out of the three of us has had his" Jack smile
"Ok lunch it is, come on the kids will be hungry" they stood up and Jack took Jake from her arms and carries him out side with Sam just behind him.
They meet their family and friends for lunch. Jack spoke to them and others about sam idea and they all like it. After lunch while the kids were sleeping, sam check the computer on the cargo ship that been out month at a time, checking the mountain range and where the rivers are and what been check out so far since they all been there, every thing. While jack asked for volunteers again for the month mission, Since there was plenty of volunteers including the tok'ra to help out. Once he chosen the ones for the two ships, he choice two pilots for both ships. They follow him into the ship where sam was working.
"Sam here are the pilots for the next mission"
"Hi guys, from what I've work out so far, I would like these areas check out first" she show them the screen and the areas
"Why those ares first?"
"From the last mission on big hill side like these there was over thirty caves three times bigger than the caves not far from here full of cocoons. When there is that many caves that means in five mile randiest around those caves are villages, that while, for my calculation, three caves to five villagers"
"How much time left?"
"Lest than six months before they wake up for there feed, at lest we can save the remaining villagers the best we can before they are all wipe out cause of these creatures. Which found out that they been here for two hundred years and from what jack was told there male and female creature, the female has eight off spring in every five years, so you can under stand why they need to be stop now" they all nodded in agreeance.
Sam showed then the best area to check out first, when she finish marking the areas on the computer, she sent copy to the other cargo ship as well. Hour later Jacob showed up with Jake, who was hungry at the time, so Jacob passed Jake to Sam so she could breast-feed him. She decided to feed him and give him a bath at the same time so she went back in to the house and grab a few things before walking down to the river while feeding her son.
When she arrived at the river she burp him first for few minutes before putting him on the ground. Then she took her clothes off then his, when done she pick him up and she walk into the river and sat down with him on her lap, she bend her legs so he could lye against her legs with his feet against her breast. She sprinkle water over him while talking to him while he smile at her since part of his body was under water, he was enjoying his bath, till she heard voices behind her.
"Hey Sam talking to your self"
"Hi Janet, no just baby talk to Jake, I'm giving him a bath"
"Ah, ok Ista and Claire are here we through a swim will help us"
"Ok" they took their clothes off and walk in and started swimming around
"Not long to go now," Sam said looking at the three pregnant women
"No another four weeks to go" Janet said sam nodded
Then she look down at her son who was looking back up at her waving his arms around just like what jack dose which made her smile. She held on to both of his wrist and kiss them and made raspberry noises which made him smile and wave his legs around. Then she let go of his wrist and pick him up and moved more towards where the three women are walking around. They all were making a bid fuss of him which he didn't mind, when Janet went to tickle his stomach he wave his arms around splashing and smiling at them. They were talking and laughing having fun.
"Sam we got a big problem" Janet said they all look at Janet and sam turn around to see nine wolfs at the edge of the river where there clothes are.
"Janet hold Jake and go over to the other side of the river, I don't want to deafen him"
She passed Jake to him and they walk over to the other side of the river but stay in it. Sam put her fingers in her mouth and blow it three times, each time there was a loud I pitch sound that she knew will bounce of the walls, she waited for a minute then did it again, by that time more wolfs showed up.
Daniel was looking for Janet when he heard the three whistles, he knew that Sam can whistle like and when there is three whistles that mean some one is in danger, he ran to find jack and get some men together with zats.
"Jack" he yelled when he saw him and ran over to him
"Daniel slow down"
"Jack sam in danger I heard three whistles" Jack put his hand up and listen, then he heard it to
"The swimming hole that is where she was taking Jake for his bath, guys grab your zats and watch one another six"
"Ista and Claire were also going there to relax" Teal'c said
They all ran over to where all the weapons are being held and all grab a zat each and headed over to where the hole is, when they got closer they spread out, jack could hear Jake crying, he gave then hand signals and they spread out. Jack had a look, he could see Janet holding Jake, Ista, and Claire, he moved quietly till he could see Sam then he move some bushes out of the way when he saw the wolfs.
He moved back and gave the others signal then they all make rustle noises from the bushes and stomping noises. Then the other did the same till he heard growling from behind him, so he turned around and so did the others to see other wolfs there then he raised his zat like the others
"Now" he yelled and zat them twice then turn around and ran through the bushes scaring the other wolfs and the women half to death. The wolfs turn to see what was going on when jack and the other showed up so they ran to wards them only to get zated twice till they drop dead. Sam and the others relax. Sam turned and walk over and Janet pass him to her.
"Shh it ok mummy here" she rub his back as they four walk over to where the men were. The other men who were with jack drag the dead wolfs away, knowing the other villages would use the skins for bed covering. Leaving Teal'c, Daniel, Greg and Jack behind. While three of then men got there backs turn, Sam walked out first. Jack picked up towel and wrapped it around his son and held on to him close.
"Hey little man it ok, daddy got ya" Sam quickly dry down and got dress. Then Jack pass Jake back to her, she put her finger in his mouth and smile
"Some one hungry"
"We will be over here guys keep a look out just in case any more wolfs show up."
Jack and sam walk over to where a log is and sat down with their back turned to the others. Sam lifted her top and guild Jake to her nipple and he started drinking away. Jack wrap an arm around her
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah I will be, god I couldn't believe it when I saw them and I knew what I had to do"
"You did good Sam, I think from now on if you ladies are going swimming or bathing the little ones have a couple of zats with you, one over here on the rock and the other on the other side, just in case" he pointed to the two spots
"That a good idea and I was thinking about making a water slide for here, what do you think?"
"Cool, sounds like fun" he said smiling
"Thanks" he gives her a kiss and look down at there son who had enough so Sam pick him up and burp him while Jack got up and help Sam up. Sam turn around
"It safe" Jack turned around and walk back over to where the women is who are with there mates.
"Are you all ok" they all nodded
"Ok let head back to camp" they all walk back to camp, Jacob saw them and relax and walk over to them
"I just heard what happen, are you all ok?"
"Yes dad we all are"
"That good how Jake?"
"He almost asleep"
"Ok" they all went to their homes and relax after what just happen to them fifteen minutes ago.
Two weeks later Janet gave birth to a boy, they name him Christopher Jackson. Claire gave birth week later to a girl name Eden. Ista gave birth to a boy two days later they name him David. While Jake was sleeping Sam stared designing three different slides, one was strait slide, and second one was 'S' slide and third was around snaking one. She started working on the slides with some help from the other guys. With in three weeks the slides were finish and lifted over to where Sam wanted them to be with the cargo ship. All the villages and kids showed up when they say the water slides.
"Who want to try them?"
"Me" one of the young boys said putting his hand up.
"Ok, which one"
"This one" he pointed to the strait slide
"Ok, up you"
He took his clothes off except for his shorts and climb the ladder to the top, he could see the water running down the slide, so he sat down and push him self off and went down it and landed in the swimming hole. When he came up he was grinning and swam over to where every one is
"What did you think of it?" sam asked
"That was fun" making Sam happy
"Ok the next one" He ran over to the 'S' slide and climb it and did the same thing. When he was out of the hole
"That was great"
"I'M please" while he was going up the third one, kids were trying out the first one, they all laughing soon as they came up for air, telling their parents that it is great. They all look as the boy went down the last slide
"Wow that is so"
"Cool" Jack said
"Yeah, cool, theses are fun and great" he got out and went up it again
"Try it on your stomach" sam said
"Ok" so he did try it, when he came up for air
"That was great" by that time other kids were all enjoying them selves on all three of the slides
