Here is the next chapter of the story, thank you all so much for reading this. I hope you are enjoying it.

Chapter 3

Donna begins to stir; her head is killing her. Maybe she drank too much? She had a massive headache. As she began to focus on her surroundings, she realized that she was not drunk at all and that it was not a dream. She shoots straight up and looks around. There is nothing but a bed, some water, and a one-way mirror. She looks straight at it only seeing her reflection, while looking she notices that the side of her face looks darker than normal.

She begins to recap what happened before this, being thrown against a wall, Harvey taking a beating from some men, and herself being thrown into a van. She begins to feel sick, she does not know where she is and worst of all, she has no idea if Harvey was all right.

"Ah, I see you are awake. Good, I was beginning to worry," a man says as he walks through the door. Donna stands tall and makes sure that there is a distance between her and the man in front of her.

"What do you want?" Donna asks. She knows it is such a stupid question, he would never really answer that, but what else was she going to say?

"Well, I cannot fully answer that, but I can tell you. My name is Marcus I work for a higher power and what I do want is to send a message and I think you can help me with that," Marcus says.

Help how? Just the tone of his voice sent chills down her spine. That is never a good thing when someone says that. His eyes begin to widen as he approaches her. She looks around the room for anything that she could use against him. One good shot and she could get away and it would all be over. There is nothing, while looking around Marcus gets within inches of Donna. He grabs her arm and pulls her with him out of the room.

"Now Miss Paulsen, I do not want to hurt you, but I will. I need you to tell me everything that you know about mister Specter, and we will see what we can do for you after that," Marcus says as he guides her into another room. This one looks the same as the one she woke up in, the only other difference is that in the center of the room sits a chair and a video camera along with a rolling tool cart.

"Why would you think I would ever do that?" Donna asks. Her tone is as sarcastic and she can let herself. Marcus sits her down in the chair and turns on the video camera.

"Because if you want to get out of this with most of you intact you will tell me what I want to know," Marcus yells. Donna begins to feel herself shrinking in the chair. She tries with all of her strength to sit back up straight. She cannot show that she is scared of him. He continues to stare at her waiting for an answer. But it is quiet, Donna will not tell him anything.

Marcus begins to pace back and forth thinking. He then stops and spins to face her. "Alright well it seems you will not end up mostly intact then," Marcus says. He pulls forward his cart and begins to rummage through the drawers. Donna tries to see what he is grabbing out of there. It cannot be anything good. She knows that even talking may not help her. She finally sees him slow down in looking. He pulls a long knife out from the middle drawer. He holds it up and spins it in his hand a little but. He checks that the camera is rolling before beginning his next line of questioning.

"So Miss Paulsen, just to state for the record here," he says pointing to the camera, "you are not willing to tell me anything that I want to know about Harvey Spector is that correct?" He asks as he walks around her. Donna shutters looking over towards him holding the knife.

"That is correct, I will not nor will I ever tell you anything that you want to know," Donna snaps back. She knows that this will not end well but she refuses to give up anything about Harvey no matter what the cost is.

"Hmm very well," Marcus says. He walks around her one more time before holding the blade to her right arm and cutting through her arm. Donna shuts her eyes trying very hard to not make a sound. When he releases the blade from her arm she sighs out. She can feel the warm blood flow down her arm. He then turns to the camera to give it a smile.

"Let it be known Mister Specter that every time she denies my request, it only gets worse," Marcus says. Donna then realizes what he is doing. He is showing Harvey that her loyalty will come at a price. Harvey would never want that, but he is not here, she is and she is determined to protect him.

"You really think that this is what is going to get me to talk? Does this work for you? Being the bully will not get you anywhere it will only get you-" She is cut off by Marcus striking her across the face. She grunts out of shock, it takes her a moment before she can move her head back to face him.

"The one thing this is going to do is get you to realize that you have no idea what I can do to you," Marcus says. Donna glances over to the camera, the red light is still blinking meaning all of what just happened Harvey might see. He will boil over this, it cannot possibly end well.

Pearson Specter

"Mike any word from the police on the progress that are making?" Jessica asks as she greets Mike at the elevator.

"Nothing, but they did just pull the security tapes from around the area so that should give them and us a better idea of who it was that did this," Mike says as he walks over to Harvey's office. He stops at Donna's desk. All of her notes are organized for Harvey. All separated by her system of how she would deliver them to Harvey. As he begins to glaze over some of the notes he is startled by footsteps behind him.

"Are we daydreaming or working?" Harvey says as he walks past Mike and into his office.

"You should not be here, the doctor said you needed rest. You look like shit and are in no position to do any type of work," Mike says as he follows Harvey into the office. Mike knows that he will not listen to him. In all the time he has worked for Harvey, there is one thing that he knows all too well. Harvey does not back down from anything.

"Police will be here soon with the security footage. I need to see it. I need to find these men," Harvey says as he looks out the window.

"I get that Harvey, but Jessica and I can handle this. You need to take it easy," Mike says. Harvey turns to him he opens his mouth but cannot seem to find the words. He walks back towards his desk and runs his hands over one of the notes Donna left for him before the office celebration.

"You do not understand Mike. She would not have been anywhere close to what happened if I had not insisted on walking her home. We could have gotten in the car with Ray and she would be here right now," Harvey says. He is angry at himself that he allowed this to happen.

"Harvey it is not your fault, something like this is out of our control and I know that you would have never of walked if you knew what was going to happen," Mike says trying to comfort him. He knows that none of this is helping but it does not hurt to try. They both stand there in silence until it is broken by Jessica walking into his office to let him know the police have arrived.

They all take a seat in the conference room. One of the officers opens up the laptop to show Harvey the events of the night before. He watches it and as he does he relives it, every second of it. By the end of the video Jessica and Mike are both looking at Harvey. Upon getting a closer look at the video they notice that the only clear faces are Harvey and Donna.

"Do we not have a clear shot of any of their faces?" Mike asks the police officers.

"We do not which is odd, it is like someone when in there and erased just their faces," the officer says. Harvey's blood begins to boil. They have nothing, the only thing that have to go on is footage of him being beaten and Donna trying to fight her way out.

"How is that possible? There is no way someone can go in and alter security footage," Jessica says.

"It is strange, but this just means that we have to search harder because whoever did this is trying to hide their tracks. So I must ask you Mister Specter, is there anyone that you can think of that would wish you or Miss Paulsen harm?" The police officer says. He is a lawyer, there are tons of people who hate him, but who could have the brains or the balls to pull this off?

Instead of just answering Harvey shakes his head. They begin trying to narrow down any names or ideas until they are interrupted by Louis who comes in holding a box.

"Harvey, you have a package, should I put it in your office?" Louis asks.

"No need, I will take it because we are done for now," Harvey says as he gets up. He pulls the box from Louis and walks down the hall to his office. He slams down the box and opens it up at his desk. Looking at it he notices it to be CD. On the top of the disk, it has today's date. Before he can put it into his computer Mike, Louis, and Jessica walk into his office.

"Not a good time," Harvey says as he puts the disk into his computer.

"I disagree," Jessica says. She tries to say more to Harvey but is interrupted by the video being played in front of him.

"So Miss Paulsen, just to state for the record here you are not willing to tell me anything that I want to know about Harvey Specter?"

The words stung all of them, they all looked at each other and finally were around the laptop watching when they heard the familiar voice of Donna reply to the man.

"Dammit, this is all my fault," Harvey says after the video is done being played. No one can seem to get a word out after watching that. Mike looks over to Jessica who has no expression on her face. No one knows what to do next. Harvey begins to feel angry; she is putting herself at risk by not talking to him. Before he can get any new words out a familiar voice enters the office.

"Harvey, thank god you are all right, I came as soon as I heard," Dana Scott says as she enters the room. Harvey closes his laptop and just stares at Dana, his girlfriend. He has no idea what to say, but all he knows is he wishes that it was someone else who would have walked through that door.
