Well, here we are, chapter 4. Things are going to start getting dicey. I should note that it can bet a little brutal going through the story as we get deeper. If it does get pretty violent I will attach a warning. I hope you like this chapter, leave me a review and let me know what you think.
Chapter 4
"Dana what are you doing back here?" Harvey asks. She was not supposed to be back, she was out of town working on a different case for the firm.
"Well I heard about what happened from Louis so I got on the soonest flight I could," Dana says.
Harvey felt great that she flew all the way back to see him, but it wasn't who would have wanted to come through that door. Deep down he knew, but it was something that he could not admit to himself.
"Okay well let's get back on the matter at hand. They have Donna, they are using Donna to get to you. So what are we going to do?" Jessica asks.
"Wait hold on, who has Donna?" Dana asks. Harvey realizes that when she was told about him it must have been before they knew that Donna was there when it all went down.
"The men who attacked Harvey did while he and Donna were walking late last night after our office party," Mike says to break the silence. Dana side looks at Harvey. He walked with Donna late at night while they were dating. She could hardly believe it.
"Wait a second, why was she with you?" Dana asks.
That question felt like a gut punch. Why wouldn't he had been with her? She is who he likes being around.
"It was late, I offered her a ride home, so she did not have to walk, but before we got in the car with Ray I wanted to ask her a couple of things so we decided to walk it," Harvey says as he sits back down in his chair. Dana does not say anything for a second, she tries to process this.
"Okay, how do you know that they are using her to get to you?" Dana asks. Mike walks up to the computer and flips it around.
"Because of this," Mike says. Dana watches the video that was sent in, every word, every sound feels like a gut punch to Harvey. He could not stand it, having the video play again. Even though he was not watching it he could picture the whole moment.
"Okay, so what do we do? I mean how long can she really hold out before she tells them everything that they want to know?" Dana asks. Harvey couldn't believe that question. Donna would hold out, she would never give up Harvey like that. He hoped that she would so she could be safe again.
"It's not the issue on how long she can hold out, it's what's gonna happen to her for holding out. You need to realize that no matter how much I want her to give me up, she won't. It's not in her nature and we all know it," Harvey says as he gets out of his chair. Everyone but Dana nods in agreement.
"True enough, well we need to let the police have this video, maybe they can identify who it is that sent this and stop him before something like this turns up at our doorstep again," Jessica says as she walks out of the room.
Mike and Louis follow Jessica out of the office. The only two standing there is Dana and Harvey. With all of this going on Harvey could barley look at Scottie.
"You should have never walked her home. You and I both know that you carry torches for each other," Dana says.
"That is not relevant, what is relevant is figuring out who did this," Harvey says. Harvey knows that a big fight is coming his way with the both of them. He does not have the energy for it right now. All he wants to do is find Donna.
Somewhere in New York
"All right set her down anywhere," Marcus says. Donna who is barley conscious lays there, she is looking straight up, and her eyes are glazed over. She cannot move, she cannot focus. The last few hours have been agony, she accomplished what she wanted. She did not say a word.
"I am not going to tell you a thing and you know it," Donna says in a raspy voice. Marcus sighs, he then walks closer to her and leans over her.
"You know if that is how it is going to be then fine. I will starve you, hurt you, throw you around, I do not care. I will show you what happens when you do not listen. If you think today was bad, wait until tomorrow. But do not worry all of it will be sent to Harvey bit by bit and he will sit there wishing you would open your goddamn mouth," Marcus says.
He slams the door behind him. Donna pulls herself up as much as she can, her whole body aches. With no light, she has no idea if it is day or night, or how long she has been here already. With the day she had, it felt like months. As she closes her eyes to try and get some sleep she begins to relive it all again.
"Okay that should make a wonderful first tape to Harvey," Marcus says.
"You're not going to get away with this, you know that don't you?" Donna snaps
Marcus walks towards her and grabs her by the back of her hair, "You have not idea what I know," he says.
It was the sound of wheels, she felt the straps, and all at once it was this pain that she had never felt before. She could feel it from her head to her feet. All she could do was try and stay quiet. She had to fight, for Harvey, she had to try.
"Call out to him, tell him to find you," Marcus says. Donna shakes her head back and forth. She would not say it, she couldn't. Eventually, she rolls her head and stares directly into the camera.
"Harvey," she cries out. Marcus backs away.
"Very good, that should be good for now," Marcus says as he walks over to the camera and turns it off.
Donna tosses and turns trying to shake the memories out of her head. She can't, all she can see is the recap of her day. She knows that she needs to try and sleep, if she is going to keep fighting she is going to need her strength.
"Finch, download that and connect to Harvey's hard drive, we are sending it to his computer instead," Marcus says.
Finch sits down in front of the computer and begins downloading the video from the camera and gets it ready for upload. Before they can press send there is a slam through the room. A figure in the shadow stands there in the doorway.
"Are you guys both serious, I told you to take care of this with ease, not taunt him. Do you have any idea the problem that you are causing," The voice says.
"Well excuse me, ma'am, you said to handle it. The only way to throw suspicion off of you and off of him is to do it this way. A gentle touch does not show that we mean business. If you were smart you would stay the hell away from the firm until we have what we want," Marcus says.
The woman walks forward slightly. "Since you are causing bigger problems I will not, I will remain here and there until we have everything that we need," She says.
"Of course, Miss Scott, I will see to all of the arrangements. Oh and by the way how did you know that it would be so easy to grab them like that? You were not anywhere near there," Marcus asks.
"Because I know Harvey, him, and Donna are stuck together like glue. He would never leave her side no matter who he dates. She is the first woman in his mind and everyone else is just second tier," Scottie says.
Well there is the beginning of the twists in this story, I wanted to wait a little longer but I changed around how I wanted this to go and I hope that this turns out the way I have it in my mind. I will have the next chapter out soon.
