Hi everyone, it has been a minute since I have posted. Life as been crazy, but here is a new chapter. It is not as long as some of the others. I am hoping to have the next chapter up as quickly as possible. Let me know what you guys think.

Chapter 7

Scottie sits in the car with her driver turning on road after road. "Miss Scott there is te same Taxi that has been following us at a distant for a couple blocks," Says the driver. Scottie looks back to see if she can identify the ones in the car. She does not recognize the driver but cannot see who is sitting in the back.

"Goddamn Harvey, he has Mike Ross tailing us," Scottie says.

"You want me to loose them?" The driver asks. Scottie widens her eyes. The driver should not have to ask her that. Without saying another word the driver speeds up through a light that is about to hit red.

Mike in the cab sees the SUV get through the intersection but the cab comes to a stop. "Oh come on man, I need to keep an eye on this car," Mike says in frustration.

"Sir I am not going to get myself in trouble by breaking traffic laws," The driver says.

"Well I am a lawyer and if there is anything that comes up believe me it will get dropped because you will be doing us a big favor," Mike says.

The driver sighs and then takes a turn down a different road. Mike pulls a map out to try and figure out where the roads would connect and where they could be headed. At the next intersection Mike gives the driver directions to turn and continues to do this until he comes down towards the water. All along the area are big warehouses. No cars, it is all quiet businesses and many of the buildings are currently for sale.

"You can let me out here, and thanks man. If there is anything that comes up as far as traffic violations call this number," Mike says as he hands the man cash and his business card.

As the cab leaves, Mike begins walking down the long stretch of road passed all of buildings looking at each one closely. He looks at the ground for tire marks, footprints, anything that could give him a clue. As he reaches the end of the street he finds an old warehouse that is for sale. He looks up the listing to get photos of the inside to see if it matches with anything on the video footage him and Harvey have been receiving for days on Donna.

As he is looking around he notices a gold braclet on the ground. He remembers that from the Christmas party, Harvey had given Donna this as her present from him. Before he goes to pick it up he looks at the big door and notices that there are cameras. He decides not to bend over to grab the bracelet incase anyone was watching him. He looks through his phone and shakes his head to play off that he does not think that it is the place. As he walks away he puts his phone in his pocket to make it look like he has given up.

As he is rounding the corner out of sight of the cameras he pulls out his phone to call Harvey. "Hey, it's me. I am on my way back to the office I think I found something."

When Mike get's back to the office he finds Harvey waiting for him at the elevators. "Okay so what did you find?" Harvey asks as he walks alongside Mike.

"There is a warehouse on the end of Madison and 105th down by the docks, it is currently for sale, on the outside there are cameras looking out over all of the entrances," Mike says.

"Okay so what does that mean?" Harvey asks.

"You didn't let me finish, while I was looking around, in the gravel I found a gold bracelet, I didn't pick it up because of the camera's but I am pretty sure it was the present you gave Donna at the Christmas party. She always had it on so when she was grabbed it must have fallen off her wrist when they took her out of the van and no one as bothered to notice it sitting there," Mike continues on.

"Okay, so she is there? That is what you are saying?" Harvey asks as they make it into his office.

"What I am saying is that with the state of the rooms that we have seen on video that it would make the most sense. If you are wanting to keep someone you would want to do it where there is not one who would look to be coming and going except someone who would look like they are buying the place or fixing it to sell," Mike says.

"Who is the company selling it?" Harvey asks.

"That is the thing, it is not a company, it is an independent person and there is currently no contact information to reach out to the owner to sell, so my guess is that they do not want to have someone calling to come out to look at it which is why that warehouse is currently not on the market at all either. It is privately owned by a company in England," Mike says as he shows Harvey the proof on his laptop.

"Huntly, he must have bought it and had to for whatever he needed," Harvey says.

"Or Scottie, because it shows that it was purchased around 4 months ago, and there is not name listed on here because it was bought with cash," Mike says as he shows the transaction.

Harvey leans back in his chair thinking. Both of them sit there and establish a timeline from when Huntly was convicted 5 months ago, to Scottie showing up a month later, and how they were planning it with the phone calls and the visits to see Stephen.

"Okay so what you are saying is that Scottie sent Marcus or one of his guys to see Stephen in prision so her name would be left off of the visitor log, and if we were to ever figure it out when it happened it could not be tied to her and she could keep an eye on our progress here to ensure that we would never find out about it," Harvey says.

"Yes, but what I do not have figured out is if they have a plan B in the instance we figured it out," Mike says.

Harvey thinks about it and he remembers a conversation he had with Huntly before all of this went down. "They would do whatever they have to, to get out of it," Harvey says out loud.

"What are you saying?" Mike asks.

"Think about it, if someone doesn't want to risk getting caught what would they do?" Harvey asks.

"Hide, run, bury evidence, anything they could do to not risk getting caught," Mike says. His eyes begin to widen. "Wait, you don't mean?"

"I do, if we catch them before we are ready to take action they will do whatever they can to erase any of it, and that would mean-" Harvey says before he gets cut off by Mike.

"Getting rid of Donna. But do you really think Scottie would do it?" Mike asks. Harvey does not want to take that chance, but he also knows that Scottie is unpredictable.

"If she was pissed enough she would, and if not then one of Huntly's boys would. We do not know what his end game is in all of this. All I know is that I have been without a secretary for far too long and I need to work on getting her back.

Again, not a long chapter. The next one should be more Donna focused as I am figuring out how I want to work out the next few chapters. We are getting to more of the action though so do not worry.
