Natasha couldn't stop reading the first page of Judah's file- she didn't dare to read the rest of the file by herself. She would have to ask her wife to be with her when she did gain the courage to do it. She also had loads of questions. Sadly she couldn't ask Fury since he had gone off the grid- after faking his death, and she did not have his new contact information yet. So she would have to ask her wife instead. Maybe she knew why SHIELD had a file on Judah and why no one told her, Andy, and Sasha about it. Anger rushed over Natasha about that. SHEILD had a fucking file on Judah and told them nothing about it. Hell, Fury told them while looking straight into their eyes that Judah was dead- He had sent agents to the scene and they found Judah's dead body. But it was all a lie. Judah was alive and she knew this because she fought them once and she barely survived.
Natasha remembers that night vividly. She and Clint were sent to gather some intel on some high-ranking officials who were vacationing in Berlin, Germany. There were rumors that these officials had connections to Hydra. While Clint was back in their shared hotel room sleeping, like she should have, she was walking around the now-empty streets. She couldn't sleep- she didn't know why, it didn't matter. She was turning into the dark, small alleyway when all of a sudden she was attacked. Her attacker was small, but very strong- and very dangerous. They both ended up on the ground, Natasha was trying to grab her attacker's knife when she felt a pain blooming across her left side. She gasped and started to choke. Blood was coming out of her mouth. She looked down and saw that her attacker stabbed her. The stab wounds- yes plural because her attacker had two fucking metal claws, in her side. Judging by the size of the claws, it impaled her lungs. Her attacker pushed her off of them and laid her roughly on the ground. Her attacker, dressed in all black looked down at her with cold, hard eyes.
Natasha looked up at her attacker's eyes, tears pouring down her face, and couldn't help but feel like she had seen these eyes before. Her attacker kneeled over her and held their knife to her throat. She didn't even flinch. She coughed and blood splattered over her and her attacker's face. Her attacker flinched when her blood got on their face. Her attacker closed their eyes, took a deep breath, and re-opened them. For a second Natasha saw her attacker's face turn white with fear, but then the attacker's facial expression changed back to its cold, hardened look. Her attacker cupped her face with their small hand, rubbed their thumb over her blood-smeared cheek, and then stood up. She watched as her attacker walked away, leaving her on the ground to die. If it wasn't for Clint who was tracking her down after noticing that she wasn't in the hotel room, she probably would be as good as dead- her wounds were too deep and severe for her healing powers to kick in.
"Mrs. Romanoff?" Natasha looked up and saw that her driver- Roy, was looking at her through the rearview mirror. "We're here." She looked out the window and saw that she was indeed home. She looked back at Roy and gave him a tired smile. "Thank you, Roy." Roy just smiled. "Do you need help or-" She shook her head. "No, I got it, but thanks. Have a good night Roy and please get home safely. Tell the wives that I said hi by the way." Natasha closed the file and put it back in her bag. She zipped up her bag and got out of the car. She closed the door, waved at Roy, and watched as he drove away. After he disappeared from her sight, she turned around so that she was facing her house.
It was a small two-bedroom house that was located on the outskirts of the city. No one from SHIELD and The Avengers- minus Clint, knew about this place. Natasha and her wife made sure of that. As she started walking up towards the front porch, the front door slammed open, and out came her kid- Yelena, running towards her full speed wearing a huge smile on her face. "Сестра! Your home!" Natasha dropped her bag and opened up her arms. Yelena jumped into her sister's arms and held onto her tightly. She shoved her face into the older woman's neck and breathed in her sister's scent. Natasha winced in pain, but instead of shoving her kid away, she wrapped her arms tightly around the younger girl and held onto her. "I missed you too маленький. I missed you so, so much."
A minute later Natasha heard someone walking towards them. She looked up and saw that it was her wife, Maria- who looked tired, worried, but happy to see her. Natasha smiled and gestured for her to join in on the hug. Maria walked over to the duo and pulled both of her girls into her arms. Natasha unwrapped one of her arms that were wrapped around Yelena, wrapped it around Maria's waist, and pulled her closer. "Love you so much," Maria said, her face buried in Natasha's hair. "тоже тебя люблю. люблю вас обоих так сильно, всей своей жизнью." Said Natasha as she kissed Maria on her soft lips. She then leaned down to firmly kiss Yelena on the head. The trio stood there for a couple more seconds until Maria pulled away. "Come on, let's get you inside."
Natasha's stomach rumbled loudly and Yelena giggled. Maria laughed and grabbed Natasha's discarded bag. "Hungry?" Natasha blushed. "Yeah, I haven't eaten since- g-d I don't remember." Maria gave Natasha a sad smile and grabbed her hand. The trio started walking back towards the house. "Well, you're in luck. I made us some beef stew, mashed potatoes, and hot bread." Natasha hummed happily. She loved Maria's cooking- especially her beef stew. "I know that you want to know what happened, but could we talk about it later- tomorrow? I really don't want to think about work for the rest of the night." Maria kissed Natasha on the cheek. "Of course my love." Yelena grabbed Natasha's hand and squeezed it- she knew that her sister had been through hell for the last couple of days. She wished that she could do something about it- make it disappear, but couldn't. So she just hopes that her presence would at least help make her older sister feel better.
