Chapter 2: The Invisible Hand

As the Separatist shuttle flew up in space. The shuttle would head towards Grievous's flag ship the Invisible hand. As the shuttle flew through space Shaak Ti would look out her window as she watched the space battle unfold. Vulture droids and tri-Fighters would be dog fighting with Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-Wings and ARC-170 Starfighters as Republic and Separatist ships engaged with each other. The shuttle would fly into the hanger bay of Grievous' flag ship as Shaak Ti then sigh in shame at her situation. The Shuttle then would land as Shaak Ti would look over to try to see the chancellor but was being block by Grievous and his manga guards. As the shuttle ramp descended and the door of the shuttle opens to the Invisible Hand's hanger bay with vulture droids, b1 and b2 battle droids moving around the hanger bay. A Magna Guard would push Shaak Ti to make her move forward as everyone left the shuttle. Walking off in shame Shaak Ti would then see Count Dooku approaching with two B2 battle droids following as guards. Shaak Ti would somewhat growl in anger at seeing Count Dooku as she thought he was a traitor.

"Ah the Chancellor good." Count Dooku would say as he walked closer towards the group as Shaak Ti looked away as she didn't want to look at Dooku. Count Dooku would then look over as he then said "Ah Master Shaak Ti as well. Looks like the collar works." Shaak Ti would leash out as she would try using the force only to get shocked as she fell to the ground screaming in pain. "Stupid jedi." Count Dooku would then say as he put his arm out as he then would say "Chancellor come with me." Turning to Grievous Count Dooku would continue "General take our guest to her cell." Grievous would snarl as he then said, "Should I tell the captain to head to Separatist space." Count Dooku would say "No not yet." As Count Dooku then escorted the Chancellor to the top of the spire. Grievous would snarl even more as he was confused but didn't say anything as Count Dooku had almost walked away at that point. But Grievous would then grab Shaak Ti by her arm as he then lifted her up as she cried in pain with Grievous telling her "Get up Jedi scum." As Grievous then shoved Shaak Ti forward as she stumbled forward to where Grievous was leading her. As they got to Grievous' quarters, he would then throw her into the room which had a couch, a computer system as well as an extra room behind a door.

Grievous throwing her down on the couch as she gets hurt from the fall into the hard couch there. Shrieking in pain she would say "Ouch, that hurt I am flesh not a droid like you." Grievous mad at the comment would approach sticking his face right in front of her face as he said "I am flesh and I was whole at one time. I lived on Kallee and had a wife but that was before the Huk came and warred with my people." Grievous then walking over sitting in his chair for the computer system as Shaak Ti leaned forward, her bright eyes fixed on the imposing figure before her. "So, General Grievous, tell me about your past life on Kallee and the Huk Wars. What happened?" Grievous shifted in his seat, his metallic body emitting a low hum. "Ah, my dear Shaak Ti, those were dark times indeed. Kallee was in turmoil, torn apart by the Huk Warriors, a relentless species with a penchant for destruction and the enslavement of my people." Shaak Ti would look shocked as she said, "But the Jedi wouldn't let that happen." Grievous snarled in disgust at what she said as he then replied, "The Jedi helped the Huk." Shaak Ti stunned by what Grievous bur then say, "I am sorry I didn't know about that." Grievous looking at her as she was so beautiful to him for some reason, but he did know why as he would then snarl "Whatever!" Shaak Ti nodded, her lekku twitching in anticipation. "And how did you come to be involved in the conflict?" A chill silence filled the air as Grievous clenched his metallic fists. "I was a proud warrior of the Kallee people, a skilled strategist, feared by many. But the Huk Wars... they changed me. During a fierce battle I went to make a deal wit h the Huk as my ship then got shot down, my men were all dead and I suffered a grievous injury." He paused, the weight of his words hanging in the air. "I was captured, tortured, and transformed into the cyborg you see before you by the Banking Clan," Shaak Ti's eyes widened with sympathy. "That's...horrible. But why do you now serve the Separatists? Why turn against your own people?" Grievous sneered, his voice dripping with bitterness. "The Jedi... they turned their backs on my people. They left us to rot, to suffer. And in our darkest hour, Count Dooku came to me, offering a chance at revenge. A chance to crush the Republic and the Jedi who abandoned my people by joining with the Huk." Shaak Ti's heart ached for the lost warrior before her. Grievous' words were a haunting reminder of the shattered dreams that led to his monstrous form. As they sat in silence, the weight of Grievous' anguish hung heavy in the air. The story of his past life on Kallee shed new light on the enigma he had become. Little did they know, their fates were forever intertwined in a galaxy consumed by war. And so, in the shadowy depths of the room, their destinies collided, propelling them further down the path of conflict and redemption. Grievous would hear an alarm go off on his computer to head to the bridge of the ship as he then leaves saying "Don't leave this room." While telling two magna Guard to keep watch over her as he left. With both magna guard watching over Shaak Ti as she sat there stunned from their conversation but thinking 'Is she having thoughts about Grievous that she shouldn't have."

Count Dooku and the Supreme Chancellor are in the observation deck of the ship on the top of the spire of the Invisible Hand. "It will be," he said slowly, meditatively, as though he spoke only to himself, "an embarrassment to be captured by him." The voice that answered him was so familiar that sometimes his very thoughts spoke in it, instead of in his own. "An embarrassment you can survive, Lord Tyranus. After all, he is the greatest Jedi alive, is he not? And have we not ensured that all the galaxy shares this opinion?" Lord Sidious would say. "Quite so, my Master. Quite so." Again, Dooku sighed. Today he felt every hour of his eighty-three years. "It is ... fatiguing, to play the villain for so long, Master. I find myself looking forward to an honorable captivity." A captivity that would allow him to sit out the rest of the war in comfort; a captivity that would allow him to forswear his former allegiances-when he would conveniently appear to finally discover the true extent of the Separatists' crimes against civilization-and bind himself to the new government with his reputation for integrity and idealism fully intact. The new government… This had been their star of destiny for lo, these many years. A government clean, pure, direct: none of the messy scramble for the favor of ignorant rabble and subhuman creatures that made up the Republic he so despised. The government he would serve would be Authority personified. Human authority. It was no accident that the primary powers of the Confederacy of Independent Systems were Neimoidian, Skakoan, Quarren and Aqualish, Muun and Gossam, Sy Myrthian and Koorivar and Geonosian. At war's end the aliens would be crushed, stripped of all they possessed, and their systems and their wealth would be given into the hands of the only beings who could be trusted with them. Human beings. Dooku would serve an Empire of Man. And he would serve it as only he could. As he was born to. He would smash the Jedi Order to create it anew: not shackled by the corrupt, narcissistic, shabby little beings who called themselves politicians, but free to bring true authority and true peace to a galaxy that so badly needed both. An Order that would not negotiate. Would not mediate.

An Order that would enforce. The survivors of the Jedi Order would become the Sith Army. The Fist of the Empire. And that Fist would become a power beyond any Jedi's darkest dreams. The Jedi were not the only users of the Force in the galaxy; from Hapes to Haruun Kal, from Kiffu to Dathomir, powerful Force-capable humans and near-humans had long refused to surrender their children to lifelong bound servitude in the Jedi Order. They would not so refuse the Sith Army. "Yes, the end of the war is near." Lord Sidious would say as he would give a menacing smile.

Grievous stood on the bridge of the Invisible Hand, surveying the crew of battle droids at their stations. As the captain of the ship tells Grievous that "two Jedi have infiltrated the ship" He turned to his droid captain and barked out orders. 'Send all available battle droids to the lower decks. Have them search every room and corridor. I want these Jedi stopped before they reach the Chancellor.' The droid captain nodded and set off to carry out the orders, as Grievous watched. Grievous became more cautious when he figures out that the two jedi were Anakin Sykwalker and Obi Wan Kenobi.
