Buffy had refused to speak to any of them, believing that they had betrayed her. Which distressed Willow and to a certain extent, Giles and irritated everyone else. Her silence lasted until she learned Angel had left town without stopping to see her or say goodbye.

"Why won't he even fight for us, for me?" She implored Willow.

"Maybe he thinks the relationship is hurting you or he doesn't want to get in between you mother and you. Maybe you'll see him again someday. I know you don't want to believe he's a danger Buffy,, but the rest of us are scared of him."

"But Angel won't hurt us."

"But Angelus will and unless he becomes human, will always be a threat. That's a cold hard fact, Buffy. I'm sorry, but it is."

"I feel like I'm dying, Willow. I miss him."

Willow sympathized, but still felt they'd done the right thing.

Meanwhile, it was Thanksgiving and Cordelia was excited, she and Xander were going to spend the next four days in San Francisco with her family. She and Prue had been talking on the phone alot and getting along well. She'd occasionally spoken to Piper and Phoebe as well.

"This is going to be great, I just know it, Xander."

"I'm looking forward to it. Leo will be here in a few minutes to pick us up. It's our first time teleporting. This is going to be so cool."

Leo arrived right on time, easy to do when you can get to the other side of the world in seconds and picked them up, each was holding their packed bag and between one blink and the next, they were in Halliwell Manor. With delicious smells coming from the kitchen greeting them. Along with an argument.

"How much longer is this damn spell of yours going to last, Prue?"

"It's only supposed to be for twenty four hours, so another hour, tops."

"Spell?" Cordelia asked.

"Hi." Prue said. "We just vanquished a warlock who was trying to kill a friend of ours. And I cast a truth spell so I could find out how my boyfriend Andy, would take the news about me being a witch. He didn't take it well. And I didn't realize when I cast it, that it would affect everyone in the house."

"Does that include us?" Xander asked.

"I don't know, maybe. We could test it."

"Ok, ask me a question you think I would normally lie about."

"Oh, I got one!" Phoebe said. "You're a guy currently in a house full of women, one of whom is your girlfriend. Which of us is the hottest?"

"Prue, followed by Cordy. You and Piper are cute."

"That's not going to do any good." Cordelia said. "He'd answer that way anyway. Xander's got two modes, bluntly truthful or silent. Xander, the look on your face when you saw me wearing that purple dress last week said you had an opinion you were keeping to yourself, what was it?"

"It made you look yellow."

"Yep, he's being affected by the spell. He knows I thought I looked great in it and he would never say that."

"Please don't ask me anymore questions."

"Yeah, I'm going to ask you a question." Cordelia said. "If Buffy decided to give you a chance, would you take her up on it?"

"No, I really am over her."

"Faith?"

"If you and I weren't together, yes."

"Good to know. I'm not letting you go."

"I can truthfully say, yes! I love you, Cordy."

"That's the first time you've ever said that!"

"I've been thinking about it for awhile. This wasn't how I intended to say it."

"I can vouch for him on that." Leo said. "He started saying he thought he was falling in love with you back at the end of August, he was sure by the end of October. He's been trying to figure out how and when to say it, since then."

"It's been a busy month. There was the idiot who weird scienced himself and killed a guy, beat his girlfriend up and tried to kill my friend Willow's boyfriend, Oz. Fortunately for Oz, he's a werewolf and it was full moon night. He was able to protect himself until we got the guy. And then there was Angel coming back from that demon dimension and Buffy hiding that fact from us. She's still pissed at us for making him leave town. Because of the soul, he might do good so we have to give him a chance, but we're monitoring him magically and if the curse breaks he'll be dust, instantly."

"Werewolf? Piper turned into a wendigo for awhile. They're like a really nasty version of a werewolf."

"Thanks Phoebe, I'm still trying to repress that experience."

"The vampire with a soul came back from that demon dimension? How?" Prue asked.

"No one knows, not even him. Time passed differently there and he was there for about a century and tortured, so was pretty much feral when he got back. It took about three weeks, according to Buffy, for him to physically and mentally recover, but vamps heal alot faster then humans do." Xander answered.

"And she hid his return? What was she thinking?" Prue asked.

"Probably the same thing you were when you were dating that violent idiot back in High School. That it's true love." Piper said.

"Oh, yeah. God, I was an idiot."

"You were a teenager." Leo said.

"There's a reason we get smarter, the older we get." Xander said. "After puberty there's actually blood in our brains."

"He's not wrong." Leo agreed.
