Next morning, Hiccup woke up in the Haddock house and comments "oh that's right. I decided to look after the house since the chief was gone."

Astrid opens the door and scowls "Mr. Ryder! Get your butt down here and make me breakfast or you won't be getting anymore kisses!"

Hiccup widened his eyes and changed into his day clothes and hurries down the stairs to see Astrid Hofferson and says "did anymore ever say "your beautiful in front of a fire and when your angry?"

Astrid grabs him by his armor and hisses "breakfast or a beating?"

Ryder nervous says "okay, I will get right on that."

Astrid scowls at him while he cooks breakfast.

Once breakfast was served, Astrid grumbles and eats her breakfast while being angry at Ryder.

After eating breakfast together, Ryder and Astrid walk to the arena for dragon training.

Ryder stops by the forge and grabs Astrid's present and gives it to her.

Astrid unwrapped it to see a new double bladed axe and says "don't think this means I'll be nicer to you. I'm still mad at you!"

Ryder sighs and follows her to the arena.

Astrid joins the teens while Ryder decided to leave and visit his mother for a few days.

Gobber comments "welcome to dragon training. Here you will fighting against Gronckle, Deadly Nadder, Hiddious Zippleback, Terrible Terror and the champion will face their luck of trying to defeat the Monstrous Nightmare."

Snotlout ask "Ryder? Got any tips to help us? Ryder?!"

Astrid looks around the stands for Ryder and grumbles "he probably left to go cry like a baby when I give him the scorn."

Gobber comments "Ryder told me that the dragons were instructed to try keeping you lot from touching them with your hand except me when I need to intervene."

Snotlout ask "wait, aren't you going teach us first?"

Gobber answers "I believe learning on the job" and released the Meatlug.

Teens scattered around to avoid getting blasted.

Gobber ask "when facing a dragon, what do you need to protect yourself from fireballs?"

Fishlegs answers "help?"

Astrid scoffs "a shield!"

Gobber answers "correct."

They grab a shield.

Tuffnut and Ruffnut argue over the same shield.

Meatlug blasted their shield.

Gobber comments "Ruffnut and Tuffnut, your out."

The other three tried to touch Meatlug.

Gobber comments "those shields are good for something else, noise. Make noise to throw off a dragon's aim."

They begin banging their weapons against their shields.

Meatlug switch to charge at them like a batter ram.

The teens ran around to avoid getting knocked over.

Meatlug switch to shooting fireballs at the three teens.

Snotlout tried flirting with Astrid again "I moved into my parent's basement to workout. You should come by. You look like you workout alot."

Astrid grumbles "didn't Ryder beat you in a duel and you agreed to leave me alone?"

Snotlout's shield was destroyed.

Gobber comments "Snotlout, your out."

Meatlug fired a shot over Fishlegs head and then his shield.

Astrid ran after Meatlug and slap it.

Meatlug turned around and chased after her into a wall and licks her.

Gobber hooks Meatlug' mouth and drag her to the cage.

Astrid ask "something is wrong?"

Gobber comments "Ryder said something about tag with the dragons and run for lives."

Astrid widen her eyes "guys, we have to tag the dragon and find base."

Ingrid comes down to the arena and yells "ASTRID GIGGLES HOFFERSON! WHAT DID YOU DO TO RYDER?!"

Astrid ask "what do you mean?"

Ingrid answers "I came home to find your shield that you gave to Stoick on the kitchen table with a rejection letter for proposal!"

Astrid grabs the letter to read "I don't know what your problem was at breakfast, with my friend but you haven't changed from being the mean girl and I don't want to marry you. Enjoy the axe.
