I.M.P. Building

Stocking up on ammo, rations and radios for the whole team. We see everyone changing into their infiltration gear while loading the guns they had received from the royal armoury just for this mission.

When we focus on Snow. We see he has changed into the combat attire he wore from the two times he assaulted Heaven. But, he had a difference about them. We see the hybrid dressed in black combat boots and black jeans with built-in protection pads from the knees down towards the shins and ankles. On his top. He wore a black tank top with his radio clipped to the front shoulder of said vest.

Snow's weapons of choice are seen strapped to certain parts of his body. Cerberus, that is strapped to his right thigh. While his combat knife is strapped to his left thigh. On his back, we see his Vengeance rifle strapped to his back while Snow's Falchion is being held in the sheathe on his hip on the right-hand side.

Balthazar had decided on combat pants with the same protection for his legs and ankles just as Snow had with said combat boots adorning his feet as well. On his top half, Balthazar opted for a cut-off sleeved camouflage jacket over the top of a grey singlet top. On his arms. Balthazar wore two black elbow pads on either elbow. Whilst wearing gloves with protection on the fingers and dorsal were seen on his hands.

Strapped to either side of the fallen angel's hips in their holsters, we see the custom Zoraki machine pistols Red and White Rose. Behind Balthazar's back, sat in its sheathe. We see his longsword Fallen. Around Balthazar's chest. We see a grenade belt. Which, thanks to Baxter in his lab. Balthazar had grenades for every situation he was going to be facing.

Dex, well, he is seen wearing light armour that could help him move silently when needed to get into positions where he could activate his devices that could kill any electronics in his immediate vicinity. Around the fallen angel's forehead. Dex had tied a rag around his forehead which had speciality sensors to tell him to cover his eyes in case of a flashbang or a nine banger going off.

Snow's mission to complete is now implemented firmly in his and his team's brain. He knew what he had to do now. Rescue his sister-in-law. And kill the angel that abducted her. Once and for all.

"Ready to go, babe?"

Snow turns to the source of the voice. And, boy, was he glad he did. His jaw had dropped at what he was looking at. Stood before the squad and the I.M.P. team. We see Loona with, a combat vest adorned on her upper body, and camo pants with padding. And, she was wearing black combat boots. Just like the guys were.

What was even more surprising for the hybrid was what his wife was packing in terms of weaponry. Behind Loona's back. We see her AR-15 Tactical Assault Rifle. While a Glock 26 was strapped to her right thigh in its holster.

Luckily for Snow. Loona did have something smaller in the combat knife she owned strapped to the back of her hip. Along with the Berretta M9 she was given by Blitzo. With a kiss planted firmly on her husband's lips. Loona walked ahead of everyone and said.

"You guys coming or what?"

Despite the awestruck expression on Snow's face. His whole squad couldn't contain the laughter at the lovestruck male. When he gets them to quiet down, they head out.

Outside the Offices

"Hey, on the way Snow. Do you think we can stop somewhere and get some snacks?"

Everyone groans at Blitzo while they begin their long walk towards the portal Snow had made outside of the offices. Said portal which would take them to Heaven to begin the mission. With their quest soon to begin. And, with everyone in high spirits, Snow says quietly to himself.

"Hold on just a little longer Octavia. Help is on the way!"

Somewhere in Heaven… (Octavia P.O.V.)

I was scared for my life! When I had awoken from my drugged sleep. I soon found myself being carried in the trunk of something that was in motion. My first reaction is to struggle and yell for help. This was while I was trying to find something to tear my binds off of me.

Slam of a Hand

"QUIET DOWN BACK THERE!"

That had almost made me jump out of my feathers at, whoever had captured me, slamming their hand down onto the trunk. Just to stop my captors getting angry. And, to stop them from getting any ideas to keep me quiet. I continued to look for a new way out from the people who held me while trying to keep my noise down to a minimum.

"Come on... there must be a way out!"

What these things held for me when I was taken from this trunk was the one thing I was beginning to dread when the vehicle eventually stopped at its destination.

Another Part of Heaven. Sometimes Later

Everything was peaceful for the souls of Heaven. As the people lay in their beds dreaming about another peaceful eternity in heaven. Sleeping with the knowledge of knowing that they were safe in their homes while God and his angels protected them. The keenest observer would be wise to look out to the horizon. Look out and see that, despite the serene pastures being undisturbed by anything unusual, it changed when a portal opened up above the field and threw out a task force from Hell onto the ground below.

The three imps landed in a heap while Snow, Balthazar and Dex landed upon bended knee on the grass below them. Once they had landed. Eric is about to do his headcount until a voice calls out from above.

"INCOMING!"

One minute Snow stood up counting the team. The next? He was back on the ground in a heap. A falling Hell hound had crashed into him. And, had sent him to the ground in a heap. Leading to chuckles from Balthazar and Millie. Once the two stood thanks to Moxxie and Dex's help. Snow, finally, does a quick headcount of the team that was with him before he awaits them to get up onto their feet.

That Night

Once everyone is set up. And, once the tents are up in the spot they had landed in away from the main city of Heaven. Snow and Dex took it upon themselves to get the firewood while I.M.P. stayed behind with Balthazar and Loona.

Since the hound could see in the dark. Loona had decided to take the first watch for the evening. This is shown while she is standing on top of a tree with a platform she had made for herself to stand upon while on watch. While there. She is seen with her gun drawn in case any intruders stumble upon the team's camp on the hill.

With Snow and Dex

Collecting firewood was simple enough. All the two males had to do was find a quiet spot that was away but also, right next to their camp in the process. Swinging the axe that Snow had with him. It wouldn't be long before the two had enough wood and tinder to get a fire going to, hopefully, stave off the cold air that had now blown across the serene lands of Heaven.

When they began heading back to the others with the huge stacks of the flammable materials they needed. Eric decides to strike up a conversation with his oldest friend.

"So… Octavia, huh?"

Dex had no idea where his former commander was going with this. So, he decided to humour his oldest friend. He raises a questioning eyebrow towards the white-haired male walking in front of him.

"She seems to like you."

Dex couldn't believe his ears. Leading to him accidentally blurting out.

"SHE DOES?!" Cough. "I mean… she does, Commander Snow?"

His sudden correction made Snow chuckle. So, deciding he'd teased Dex enough. He revealed something that made Dex go bright red.

"Of course she likes you. I overheard my wife talking to her after she'd met you. She thinks you're cute, Dex. Plus, she was grateful about you saving her."

Dex merely gulped. Then again, he'd known his commander long enough to know when he was being serious or taking the piss out of him. So, humouring his oldest friend, he responds.

"I mean… it's not like she isn't cute herself, sir. I just don't think I'm the right guy to… date her."

Eric could only chuckle at Dex's answer. As they continued walking. The two stopped at a clearing. Once there, Snow had to signal to his wife that they had returned. Doing this with his flashlight which spelt out in Morse code, 'Don't shoot, friendlies inbound.'

Once he'd done this. The two males carried on walking back to camp. But, before they got closer. Eric stopped Dex in his tracks before addressing him.

"Dex, when this is all over bud. I'm gonna try and get you a date with my wife's stepsister. That's a promise."

Dex nods with a smile. A smile he never removed the whole way back.

Camp

Once Snow and Dex had returned with enough wood and tinder to last them the night. Snow takes a seat on the grass next to Moxxie, Millie and Balthazar. After a while. And, with a kiss goodnight. Loona had decided to call it a night while Blitzo was FaceTiming his grandkids as he sat by the fire.

Dex was the only one who was finding interest somewhere else with the gun he was cleaning on the floor of the tent he was now in. Out of all the team. Dex showed the most interest in the mission before him. The son of God had been killed. An innocent had been captured. And, his oldest friend was being framed for the murder of Jesus. All on the same freaking day! The male knew he couldn't blame himself since, well, he wasn't there when Octavia had been captured. But, he had witnessed Jesus' dead body in the boardroom of Lucifer and Lilith's home with Snow and Balthazar.

The sound of laughter soon broke the male's thoughts. And, piquing his rising curiosity. Dex steps out of the tent to see everyone passing around a bottle of whiskey. He also saw they had other different types of alcohol that Snow had packed to keep everyone tied over and jovial before the nitty-gritty of the job that they were on tomorrow.

"There he is! Come on Dexter! Come and have a drink with us!"

A slightly tipsy Blitzo says while holding onto the fallen angel for support with a spare plastic cup for Dex held haphazardly in front of him. Watching the imp being intoxicated was a sight to behold for everyone. Including his daughter and son-in-law. , when he looked over at them, Dex could see they were playing chicken fight. Moxxie was seated on Snow's shoulders. While Millie was sitting on Loona's shoulders. Whoever lost. The losing team had to down a jerry can's worth of the Snow's legendary drink recipe in a jerry can. This also meant that someone was going to wake up with one helluva hangover the next morning.

Balthazar was the only one not taking part in the moment of fun down on the ground. This was due to taking the next watch from Loona from his place on the platform. He is seen with his silenced sniper trained on the area before him in case anything were to go wrong. And, an angel should stumble upon the little party in the camp below the tree. He was prepared to blow their head off of their shoulders.

Even though everyone was having fun. Dex soon threw his drink away out of the sight of the party. While looking out to the horizon. Only he knew how long this mission would take roughly to complete. But, it was how this mission would go down that he was worried about.

Before the fallen angel. There were three roads.

On the first road. The mission would be a resounding success. They would bring Octavia back home. And, it allows the owl to mourn her mother when she eventually finds out about her death. And, they would successfully kill Zerachiel and end the nuking of Hell before it began. Everyone would just go back to their normal lives. And, Dexter could retire from being the intel and tech guy in peace.

Road two. It saw Octavia killed during the rescue. But, they manage to bring down the angel who had caused this shit show. And, clear Snow's name for the murder of Jesus. The first part would result in Stolas locking himself away from the grief of his daughter's death. And, Hell would just go back to normal minus two important people.

And, the third and final road Dex never wanted to happen. Everyone dies. And, God destroys Hell. Along with its denizens. Hell would just become a desolate wasteland where there are no survivors. And, the King and Queen were executed in front of their people by the angels.

Dexter, for one, hoped the second and third road would never come to fruition. And, that the first road was the one road everyone on the team strived for. A bright future in the shithole known as Hell seemed unlikely. But, with Snow's resolve to bring happiness to everyone around him. That future could become more than likely true in Dex's eyes.

For now, Dex remained laser-focused on the task at hand before heading off to sleep by a tree somewhere. This was so his team could find him when the day broke in the next couple of hours when the mission would officially begin.

Back With Octavia (Octavia P.O.V.)

With the sudden stop of the vehicle and the trunk being flung open. It allowed me to be roughly dragged from the trunk and flung onto the dirt path below at the feet of my captors.

"Good work, team. Maybe now Lazarus will finally meet his end. And, Zerachiel can finally rest in peace."

The voice, which sounded female, says as she lifts my head by the feathers and looks me directly in the eyes. The malice and the spite that was radiating from the pure being holding onto my head struck fear into my heart. When the female stopped looking at me, she spoke again.

"Resupply and meet back here soon. Raphael will be expecting us in the next few days at Angel's Peak. There, we will work on our next move."

'Angel's Peak?! Is that where they're taking me?'

My mind was going into overdrive while I was placed in the backseat of the jeep awaiting my captors to stock up on their supplies. Leaving me to my thoughts. The only thought that could cross my mind was one thing.

Wherever this Angel's Peak was. It was clear to me that I was being used as bait to draw out my brother-in-law so this, Raphael, could exact his revenge for something that happened to Zerachiel, now, two years ago. Either way, I hoped Snow and Loona didn't fall for such an obvious trap.

Next-Day (No P.O.V.)

With the rising of the sun in the east. So too did the team from Hell. Who, when we see them, are seen walking through the serene pastures of Heaven. Eric was leading the way while a snoozing Loona was seen being carried upon his back while her weapons were being carried along by Snow. The male didn't feel brave enough to wake up his wife from her slumber early that morning. So, being the gentleman he was, and fearing for his testicles being ripped off if he tried to wake her, decided to carry his beloved over his right shoulder while she snored away.

Behind the couple, Balthazar is seen aiming his gun at the slightest noise around him while trailing behind Blitzo, Moxxie and Millie. If it wasn't for Millie. Moxxie would have accidentally shot the head off of a squirrel that was near them. Causing everyone to turn towards Millie's husband with angered look on their faces. Causing the imp to look sheepish and say 'Whoops' in response to nearly jumping out of his skin at an innocent squirrel.

Dex, well. He was trailing behind the other six members of the team. And, since he had hacked into Heaven's communications. He could pinpoint every communication that left or circulated Heaven without a moment's hesitation. All while he reported his findings to Snow or Balthazar if the need arrived. Soon enough, Snow halted the team in its place before he indicated to his other teammates to fall in on him after he had spotted something in front of him. Putting down his wife. And, handing Moxxie the binoculars. They spot their targets.

"Angels?"

Dex asks with a whisper from the cover Snow had pulled them behind. Leading to a nod from the hybrid. Eric didn't think angels would come this far out. And, he didn't think they would be so far away from protecting God. That thought left his mind when he realised something was up with the uniforms when Moxxie pointed them out. When Snow got a better look. Balthazar confirmed his fears.

"Zerachiel's mercenaries. They must be transporting the target we came for in that armoured convoy up ahead."

Snow nods. However, he didn't see his brother's lapdogs before him in the open. Oh no, he saw an opportunity. And, it was a good one at that.

Turning to face the only tech expert in their group. Snow says in a low voice.

"Okay, Dex. It's showtime. I need you to cloak yourself. And, I need you to take out those guards silently. While you do this. The team that's with me, we will get my sister out safely."

Now, the extraction of Octavia would be beginning soon.

Putting the Plan into Action

The Convoy

While Dex was in position and ready to run interference with his vehicle kill switch. Snow, Balthazar and Blitzo were behind one rock. While a now awake Loona, Moxxie and Millie were behind the rocks to the left of the three of the four-man team. Snow, now seen climbing a tree with 'Vengeance' in his hands, got into position by using his camouflage from his angel side.

With Dex

With his cloaking device on his armour now activated. Dex gets into position behind a rock near the road. After laying down the trap that would only work when the kill switch was triggered from under the dirt road for the unsuspecting convoy to roll over without realising. This played into the one advantage Dex loved about being the tech expert. No one would ever find his gadgets when he was cloaked. And, since he was a master of cloaking. no one could pinpoint him long enough, or fast enough, to try and kill him before he had a knife in his victim's throat.

As he notices the convoy about to come up towards his kill switch trigger. Dex gives the signal with a few presses of his radio to alert the team about the targets coming into view. Leading to Snow, once he hears the beeps from his radio on his tank top, signals to Balthazar to prepare the MG42 he was packing. While Loona, Blitzo, Millie and Moxxie prepared their rifles to open fire when the situation called for it. Knowing the time would arrive soon, Snow whispers to himself.

"Hold your ground, Dex. It won't be long now until it's time for us to go to work."

As if on cue. A huge crash happened on the road near Dex when the first vehicle tripped the trap. And, a thick metal cable appeared and sent the second vehicle flying with its occupants inside. That was the signal Snow had been waiting for. Because the moment the vehicles stopped from crashing into the wreck that was the second jeep in the convoy. He gave the order to his team to open fire on the angels from their spots among the greenery surrounding them.

Once the angels got wind of someone opening fire. Their spotter was shot dead by a bullet to the head by Balthazar when the trading of bullets began. This moment of warfare led to Snow shouting down his radio at Dex.

"YOU'RE UP DEX! EXTRACT THE TARGET AND GET OUT OF THERE!"

That was all the techie needed to hear from his commander. Without hesitation, Dex got a running start. And, with a tremendous leap, Dex took down an angel that hadn't seen him coming. Leading to confusion amongst the dead angel's teammates. One by one. the fallen angel was cutting down the angels nearest to them. With surprising athleticism on his side. Dex swings around the bar of the jeep he was near when he takes out the gunner. Starting to run along the jeep's hoods. He managed to land on the designated jeep he was required to open while his team stood back in cover.

Dex was at the jeep in no time flat until his radio sparked to life. Only, he had no chance to hear it before a massive wooden club sent the fallen angel flying into one of the wrecked jeeps. This one action causes Snow to shout.

"DEXTER!"

The moment Snow spotted the source of what had swatted Dex like a fly. The male shouts to his team. More specifically, his wife.

"BABE! I NEED YOU TO GIVE DEX COVERING FIRE AND TAKE OUT THAT SEEKER!"

Not needing to be told twice. Loona, with a scary aim, focuses the sights on the behemoth that was designed to track down cloaked assailants. Once she had the thing in her sights. She opened fire. Only to get a shock when she noticed that the bullets were ricocheting off of the giant angel. Causing her to shout.

"HE'S WEARING BULLET PROOF ARMOUR ERIC!"

"Car Horn. OK, new plan. Balthazar and Blitz, on me. Loona, Mox and Millie. Can you provide us with some rifle support?"

With the new orders given out by the male. And, with the nods from the denizens Snow had given these assignments to. Blitzo, Snow and Balthazar switch to their pistols. While Moxxie and Millie run behind with their rifles out. Loona does run behind. But, with her claws out, ready to rip open some holy throats.

With Dex

Only just coming to his senses in time to see a seeker skulking towards him with the club they nearly took Dex's head off with. The techie only had a few seconds to move before he would meet his end with this behemoth's weapon. When he tried to stand up and cloak again. The seeker pump kicks Dex into the trunk of the jeep that was holding Octavia. Causing the trunk to pop open from the impact of flesh crashing into the steel-plated armour.

She sees this as her chance to run for it. Octavia took the opportunity and tried to book it. However, she didn't get far enough when a whip tripped the owl. And, had sent her crashing into the dirt face-first. She was so close to freedom. Now? The door to said freedom was slammed shut once she was face-to-face with her masked assailant.

"Where are you going, pretty birdie?"

Octavia could only back up next to the out cold soldier next to her when said whip struck her cheek. Causing it to bleed and sting from the pain. This was it. She was going to die all over again. And, this time. Dex wasn't going to save her. At least, that's what she thought.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!"

That one voice gave Octavia a ray of hope. He had flown out of nowhere and, with enough power in the kick, Dex had thrown from his spot on the ground. He'd sent the angel with the whip crashing into a rock head first. Which, due to the velocity. And, with how much Dex had put into the grounded Drop-kick. It snapped the angel's neck. And, killed her upon impact with the rocks behind her.

He had no time to check on Octavia when the seeker was bearing down upon him with each swing of the club he brought down upon Dex. Catching his leg and almost breaking it upon impact. Luckily, he dodged out of the way at the right time. But it didn't stop him saying something after he felt his leg buckle.

"Damn it!"

And if the fallen angel's luck couldn't get any worse. A gang of at least, fifty, no, sixty of Zerachiel's former mercs all came out of the woodwork to provide the convoy with reinforcements. Knowing what these angels were. Plus, If Dex's guesses were correct. They were here to stop him and the rest of the team from retaking Octavia. Despite the odds of his escape diminishing. Dex mutters to himself.

"Okay. What're a few angels to a fallen?"

With a new look of determination now in Dex's eyes. And, with his backup now joining him in the fight against the angel reinforcements. The fallen angel stands his ground the moment the seeker walks up to him and tries to take advantage of his injured teammate of Snow.

The seeker, however, soon made a big mistake. And, a fatal error. Thanks to the distraction from Dex throwing dirt into the seeker's eyes. The smaller opponent swings a huge haymaker into the giant's jaw. Leading to the moment where he had to dodge a few cheap shots sent his way by the seeker's back-up. They were soon dealt with quickly by Loona tearing them to shreds. And, is dealt with by Balthazar getting into the thick of things by throwing punches, kicks and shooting anyone stupid enough to advance on any of them.

Snow manages to punch one square in the nose. Leading to a follow-up haymaker by Moxxie to another angel. One of them tried to lock Loona in a full nelson. Only for the hellhound to bring her leg crashing upwards into his testicles and slam her head back into his face before throwing him off and beginning to tear into her latest victim.

"COME ON THEN! I'M JUST GETTING WARMED UP!"

The mass brawl caused some more angels to open fire on Dex. Ducking the swing of a sword and dodging the gun that had fired at Blitzo. He, along with Moxxie, manages to disarm the first angel of his sword. Followed by Blitzo, with one swift swing of the blade into the arm of the second guard. He took his arm off. Leaving him clutching the stump from where his arm once was. Despite this, Dex didn't know how long was needed to last until Snow saw an angel trying to call for more reinforcements to arrive.

Despite Snow shooting the guy dead. the backup was coming. Meaning, they had to end this fight soon. Or, they would risk being overwhelmed by more angels. With the body count now racking up for Snow and friends. They finally grabbed Octavia and jumped into one of the still-working jeeps.

Balthazar was in his jeep that contained Blitzo, Moxxie and Millie. When they went ahead. The jeep Snow had commandeered, which now contained himself, Loona, Dex and Octavia. Putting the pedal down and picking up the pace to catch Balthazar. Unaware of what was awaiting the eight of them while they were on the road.

"We should be home clear now!"

Loona never realised her shout would be cut off by an almighty smash on the ground. Sending the jeep, and its occupants, spilling out of the car out into the open. Causing Loona to shout in shock when she saw what had caused their spill.

"GOLIATH!"

Snow saw it too. The seeker from earlier had ridden in on the shoulders of a goliath just to cut off the team that was now separated from the departing jeep of Balthazar and the imps.

Standing groggily to their feet. The moment Loona released her claws. Snow had to shove Loona aside when the goliath tried to attack again. Only, this time, Dex threw a flashbang at the beast before hooking it in the jaw to send the behemoth reeling. Giving the team that was left behind a small window to catch a breather. This was when Loona chose to speak.

"Damn! How did those three idiots defeat this thing when Charlie was kidnapped?!"

Standing to their feet. Snow is the first one to attack the Goliath. Sliding under the thing's legs and the moment it tried reaching for him. Dex used a flying kick to send the giant of an angel flying backwards before focusing on the seeker that was trying to attack Loona while the Goliath was slowly getting back to its feet.

With a new plan in mind. Snow calls to his wife.

"Loo, get another vehicle. Take Octavia and catch Balthazar up. He needs all the back-up he can get if Zerachiel's mercenaries have caught him up."

Knowing she couldn't argue with Snow when he had his mind set on a task. She nods and takes Octavia by the hand towards another working vehicle. Once the ignition roared to life. Loona tore away in the jeep. And, away from the two angel elites that her husband and Dex were left to fight. Before they got some distance between the fighting. Octavia whispers to herself. Unbeknownst to her. Loona smirked at her stepsister's concern for the tech expert of the team.

"Please be safe, Dexter."

Song Play: Knee Deep in The Dead by Daniel Tidwell

The minute the two males looked on at the beings before them about to strike and charge at them again. They jump into action when Snow yells.

"DEX, LEFT SIDE! HE'S SWINGING AT YOUR BLIND SPOT!"

The tech expert didn't need to tell twice. Using a couple of flash-bangs to blind the behemoth long enough. This allowed Snow to land some blows before he was grabbed by the face and thrown back against the wall. Only, the giant didn't get a chance to follow up the assault before Dex was hitting an uppercut. Sending the giant sprawling to the ground.

The minute it nipped up. Eric flew back in with some more shots and combination punches. Although, It did not affect the angel before him. Despite this, Snow and Dex never let up. Their efforts were, however, in vain. The goliath had recovered long enough to uppercut the Genesis in the gut before he forearms him in the face and then proceeded to pump kick the hybrid into Dex. Sending them flying past a jeep.

Eric couldn't get an advantage. Every time he tried. The seeker was one step ahead of him every time he tried to gain momentum. Every strike? Dodged. every bullet? Dodged. Eric knew he couldn't win against this advanced angel that was built to take them out.

The moment he gets his bearings long enough. He sees an opening between the seeker and the goliath at the abandoned jeep. When that light bulb went off in his head. He gets an idea.

Pulling six C4s from out of nowhere. And, dodging the Seeker and Goliath. Eric places the plastic explosives onto the back of the jeep he had commandeered before firing off some shots from his pistol and getting both the Goliath and the seeker to follow him.

It worked.

Song End

"ERIC, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"

After the two juggernauts for angels chased down Snow in the jeep Dex shouted after his commander who, with new confidence and dodging hits with the car, caused the giants to roar in frustration at not being able to squash this annoying insect beneath their feet. This new development helped him when he saw the jeep up ahead of him before Dex radioed ahead to Balthazar and Loona.

Putting his foot down and flying past the two jeeps with the imps and hound he worked with inside the jeep being driven by Balthazar. And, with the giants on his tail. The jeep radio comes to life with Balthazar shouting down it.

"LAZARUS! WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE DOING, STOP! YOU ARE COMING UP TO DEVIL'S PASS!"

Silence

"DAMN IT LAZARUS! YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED!"

The hybrid, despite a look of concentration. And, knowing the circumstances he found himself in. and, with the implications of what he was about to do hitting his very soul like a sledgehammer to the heart. The hybrid threw the radio out of the jeep and kept his foot down on the pedal while the giants barrelled towards him at high speeds.

Something that made Balthazar's eyes widen in realisation when he saw the behemoths chasing the jeep with the C4s attached to the trunk. Something Loona notices straight away when she shouts.

"THAT CRAZY BASTARD IS GOING TO BLOW HIMSELF UP AT DEVIL'S PASS TO GET RID OF THE GOLIATH AND SEEKER!"

With that realisation being stated. Balthazar slams his foot down on the gas to try and catch up to Snow before he commits suicide to save his friends.

Devil's Pass

The crumbling passage over a river was perilous for anyone who dared cross its waters over the rock path. For Ghost, it was the perfect opportunity for him to enact his plan the minute he saw the giants in his rear-view mirror.

With a perfect one hundred and eighty degree turn to face the giants head-on. And, getting ready to bail from the jeep. Eric could only think of one thing before he charged the giants to stop them from chasing down his friends. That one thing Snow could think of? It was Loona.

"You're the only one who has made me feel like I deserve a better life. I love you, Eric. I will always love you."

That was all Snow ever wanted. He always wanted his wife to feel priceless in a world that had been trying to tear her down every single time. That was why he married her. Because his heart only belonged to her. And her alone.

With his mind made up. And, a new determined look on his face with his plan in motion. Eric begins to charge down the giants with the detonator to the C4 ready to go in his hand. The giants had taken the bait. And, as they began to run across the narrow ledge. All while ignoring the cracks showing from the weight of the two behemoths and the jeep going full speed towards the angel elites.

'I'm not going down that easily, Loona. I'm coming back to you baby. Just like I promised on our wedding day.'

That was Snow's last thought as everything seemed to slow down. Timed seemed to have stopped for everyone except the hybrid while he closed his eyes. As he met the beasts head-on. He flipped the switch. The last thing Loona, I.M.P., Dex, Balthazar and Octavia saw when they pulled up in their jeeps. Was a massive explosion that rocked all of Heaven with how much power was behind the explosives Snow had used to kill the seeker and the Goliath.

The last thing the team saw was when they looked over the edge from where the pass once stood. Was a flaming wreck of a jeep and a body that was nowhere to be seen. It had, in their minds, been blown to pieces just to save the group of friends and help them achieve their objective.

Seeing Octavia and Loona. Dex and Balthazar couldn't hold it in anymore. They just broke down on the spot and allowed Snow's wife and sister-in-law to hold them close while shedding their tears out of respect for the male. Octavia herself even shed a tear while cuddled into Dex as he shed his tears at such a noble sacrifice.

Their mourning didn't last.

"A little help please?"

Loona was pushed by Blitzo the minute she heard his voice. Soon, they saw a hand clinging to the edge of the destroyed ledge. Running at full speed and, seeing Snow clinging to the ledge for dear life. He merely smiles when he sees his crying wife before saying.

"Hey there sweet tail."

Loona merely chuckled through her tears as she helped her husband up from his precarious position. Once he was up on solid ground. And, after Dex and Balthazar helped Loona and Octavia pull him up to stand to his feet. The male smiled as Loona almost crushed his ribs with the hug she gave him. All while whispering through her tears.

"You bastard! Don't scare me like that ever again!"

Eric merely nods before looking Loona in her eyes and saying gently.

"I won't. I promise."

Once the shock wore off. The team headed off to their next resting point.
