Lincoln spent a while at Duds for Dudes; the tuxedo and men's clothing store that Rusty's dad owned and it took some time for him to find a tuxedo in his price range that he was happy with. He was finishing up with asking for it to be set aside for the date of the Prom while paying for the rental in advance when he heard his name being called for the group that just entered the store.

"Lincoln! Your dad told me that you would be here and I gathered the group here to meet up; we arrived at the store and saw you looking at the mirrors through the store windows. We decided to watch from the outside until you were done!" Clyde told Lincoln as they embraced.

"So Lincoln; you thinking of showing up at Prom and that's why you are here? You know you could come to our's and be part of the bachelors squad with us!" Ronne Anne's school is joining ours' in a joint prom!" Zach asked as Lincoln was surprised and shook his head.

"Want to skip out like you wanted to with the Sadie Hawkins dance? I wouldn't be part of the bachelor's squad myself Lincoln as I know that some pretty girls are just preparing to ask me out; wait for all the hype of the public proposals to Prom to die down!" Rusty said in a bragging voice and they all rolled their eyes at his explanation for why no one was rushing to ask him.

"No; I am actually going to the Prom at my own school! Team Weirdo is going to rule the Prom!" Lincoln explained confidently and they took this in.

"Yeah; your school friends. Wish we could get a chance to meet Team Weirdo; get to hear about all of the misadventures you had been through straight from their mouths. No offense Lincoln but I don't think that you were entirely honest in how you explained it to us." Stella laughed with her arms folded as they all had been told about his school friend group.

"So how is Prom season day 1 at your school Lincoln? Is it as hectic with all the proposals as it is ours?" Liam asked as Lincoln laughed.

"No question! All the proposals and everything; everyone watch as I asked out Dawn and them reacting as if I had scored the winning touchdown of a Championship game..." Lincoln said but paused as they were grinning at him and laughed to his confusion.

"I knew it! How red and embarassed you were and how whenever you were talking about her; you gushed about how amazing she was! I and us all knew that you were crushing on her?" Clyde said as Lincoln sighed; it seemed that his crush was as much an open secret in his home friend group as it was at his school.

Then he got a text asking him to come home; "Sorry; have to go home now and I will see you later." Lincoln told them as he was waving goodbye. He started to wonder about why he was wanted back home for.
