The rest of the world was black and white

But we were in screaming color

But when the sun came up, I was looking at you

I fell asleep on the ride home. Lucas woke me up slowly.

He smiled sweetly. "You should take a nap." He suggested. When we got inside.

"I'm not tired." I replied. But by the time i got upstairs and made my way through the hallway.

I looked to him and nodded my head in agreement.

"Maybe a nap wouldn't be so bad." I said. As my head soon hit the pillow and my eyes closed.

I covered her with sheets and waited awhile before leaving.

I couldn't stop the smile that came to my face.

This was happening. We were going to be parents.

I was going to be a dad. And i would be nothing like Dan.

I would be the dad i always wanted. Who was around for everything. He documented moments holidays. Birthdays.

I was going to be right by her side. No matter what. Lucas declared.

Some time Later

Brooke awoke and made her way downstairs. She searched for Lucas in the living room and called out to him. As she entered the kitchen.

"How did you sleep.?" Lucas asked.

"Good. This baby is making me so tired already."

"I'm hungry." Brooke added in.

"I figured you would be. Before you fell asleep in the car."

"You mentioned wanting pizza. So i bought some. Those garlic knots you like. The brownies."

"Whatever we don't finish can go in the fridge." Lucas replied.

"You take such good care of us." Brooke said. Putting her hand on her stomach.

The couple ate in a comfortable silence.

"It's too early to tell anyone. I know but Karen. My parents. Rachel. Haley. Nathan. Mouth. Skills. Peyton and Jake."

"We can tell at least one of them. This is too exciting and life changing not too." Brooke insisted.

"When you reach 12 weeks. I'll tell everyone. But for me. I'm just more comfortable not talking about it. But if you want to tell our friends and family you should." Lucas replied.

Brooke felt her stomach turn just smelling the garlic knots.

She pushed the container away. Quickly putting her hand over her mouth as she ran out of the room.

When she re surfaced. The garlic knots were off the table.

"We've had enough food for now. I made some ginger tea. That should help with the morning sickness. I looked into pregnancy during you're nap."

"I want to be helpful and supportive as much as i can be. Without hovering." Lucas explained.

Brooke leaned over and kissed him. Taking a long sip from the hot mug.

"Delicious. We love you so much." Brooke replied.

"I love you too. The both of you are all that matter to me now." Lucas reassured her.

"I'm starting to show. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning.. Are you going to miss my flat stomach.?" Brooke asked.

"Not at all. If anything i'm going to fall even more in love with you during this process." Lucas replied.
