But Elsa still paid no attention to Gerda's words about the dagger and continued trying to piece together the broken statue. No matter how hard Gerda yelled, no matter how tightly she held Elsa, Elsa wouldn't give her the slightest bit of attention. Finally, Gerda became fed up. "Elsa, I'm sorry I'm going to have to do this," Gerda cried. "Please don't take it personally." With a wave of her hand, Gerda caused the Hans statue to disintegrate again. At first, Elsa was silent. Then Gerda heard Elsa chuckling, before laughing, and then the laughs turned into screams and sobs. Elsa turned to look at Gerda with fury in her eyes.

As quick as a switch, Elsa grabbed Gerda's neck with both hands, but Gerda managed to get free, but she dropped the dagger in the process. Despite all that she'd seen, Gerda knew that Elsa was not herself. She was under the curse of the 5th spirit. Spikes of ice shot out from the icy ground. Elsa was definitely trying to corner Gerda with her ice powers. Gerda hid among the ice sculptures to stay safe, for she knew that Elsa wouldn't want to damage any of the ice sculptures in Ahtohallan. But the ice sculptures moved, which made hiding behind them much harder.

Gerda took a deep breath in relief, for it seemed as though she'd successfully managed to hide from Elsa. Gerda looked at her arms and saw that goose bumps were forming on her skin. This meant that she was cold, and she was starting to feel it. Ahtohallan could be a cold place, even for someone with ice powers. Suddenly, Gerda felt a pair of hands wrap themselves around her neck from behind her. It was Elsa! Gerda felt as though Elsa had the strength of 10 men, for Elsa's grip around her neck was very tight. She could feel her eyes struggle to stay open, for she struggled to breathe. Looking at her hands, she saw that frost began forming over them. "Elsa, I'm so cold," she croaked, as even the tears that dripped down her face were beginning to freeze.

Elsa's eyes widened almost as if she'd recognized Gerda. Then Elsa's grip on her neck loosened. She let Gerda go and went back to trying to rebuild the statue. Now that Elsa's hands were no longer around her neck, Gerda could feel her breath coming back to her. She breathed deeply and felt stiffness in her joints, especially in her hands. It must have been the cold. Gerda then tried kulning for the spirits, for she knew that the spirits would sometimes respond to certain calls. She didn't think she was good at it, but she tried it anyway. The fire spirit heard her call and turned around.

The cold stiffness began to slowly spread from her hands to other parts of her body. She probably couldn't stay down here for much longer, she concluded. She bent down and tried looking for the dagger she'd dropped on the floor, but couldn't find it anywhere. "Wh… where could it be?" she said, as she shivered due to the cold.

"Looking for this," a disturbingly familiar voice called out. It was a voice Gerda hoped to never hear again. King Jacob was standing not too far away from her holding the Eternal Dagger, and he had an evil smile on his face. He looked more twisted and demonic than ever. His clothes were in tatters and they looked like rags, for they were damaged in the explosion. Gerda shook her wrist in an attempt to freeze him. A thin layer of frost formed on his skin, but this did nothing to stop him. "But… but how?" gasped Gerda, taking a step back, for she knew her ice powers could do nothing to stop him. "You… you died… again." Jacob waved the dagger and spikes of ice sprouted out from the ground around Gerda, trapping her in a cage of ice. "The crystal shards from the Island of Shattered Shards have powers many would consider unnatural," answered Jacob, a small smirk appearing on his face. "I've long heard stories about the unimaginable power of the dagger, and that in the right hands it can be used to freeze the entire planet. Let's test that notion!" Jacob raised the dagger into the air. At once, the dagger began to glow. Gerda felt the joints between her bones stiffen. Was it just her, or was it getting colder? She collapsed to the ground and shivered, while Jacob laughed hysterically.

From the rowboat, Hans, Kai, Inger, Anna, and Kristoff, could feel the temperature of the air decreasing rapidly. A thin layer of ice spread from the glacier and began to cover the sea. The rowboat got frozen in place, and so did THE YELLOW CROCUS. Snow began falling from the sky. "Elsa!" gasped Kristoff and Anna simultaneously. Kristoff's eyes watered and he turned to look at Anna. "Anna, do you think all this ice might have been caused by Elsa?" he asked. "Is Elsa afraid of the spirits, and is Elsa's fear causing this?" But Anna didn't respond. Instead, she buried her face in her hands and sobbed. "There… there must be a logical explanation for this weather," Inger said to herself, for she was completely flabbergasted. In Arendelle, the fjord of Arendelle was freezing over as snow fell from the sky. In Weselton, snow came falling down as well.

"Yes, I am one with the power of the dagger!" exclaimed Jacob. "Soon, in 6 days, the entire world will have frozen over. The world can either submit to me, or never experience summer ever again. And you… Gerda of Arendelle… you will die." Gerda felt as if she was too stiff to move. Frost began to form on her face and hair. Elsa turned to look at Gerda for a moment, and then went back to trying to rebuild the statue. "Elsa… Elsa, help me… please," she weakly croaked. Jacob laughed. "Elsa… Elsa… please help me…. ha ha haa haha," he cruelly laughed.

Jacob was so lost in his own world that he didn't notice that the spikes of ice which caged Gerda had begun to sink back into the ground. Soon the spikes of ice had completely disappeared. "That's… that's not possible," stammered Jacob. "Only I have the ultimate command over ice." "You sure about that?" came Elsa's voice from behind Jacob. Jacob was able to only just catch a glimpse of Elsa before she blasted Jacob with a full dose of her ice magic. Jacob was now frozen as stiff as an ice statue, and large icicles formed on the dagger he was holding. Jacob could hardly move anything, except for his eyes. Seconds later, fire in the shape of a flying dragon made its way into the chamber of statues, and stopped meters away from Jacob. It was the fire spirit. "No…" Jacob weakly cried, barely even able to move his mouth. The fire spirit bent down and breathed on him. Fire sprouted from the spirit's nostrils and engulfed him; fire of the temperature of the sun. Once the flames engulfed him, he shattered into a million pieces and even the pieces melted away into nothingness, yet the floor was relatively undamaged by the flames. Yes, the floor had partially melted, but it quickly froze over. Even the dagger was destroyed by the flames. It too shattered.

Once it shattered, the weather in the surrounding areas changed dramatically. Snow all around Ahtohallan, Arendelle, and Weselton stopped falling, and ice quickly began to thaw. When Anna noticed that the cold weather was thawing, she said to Kristoff, "Elsa's alright! I can feel it in my bones." Inger, too, noticed that the cold weather was thawing rapidly. "Maybe science can't explain this," she said to herself.

In Ahtohallan, the fire spirit had disappeared from view, while Gerda lost consciousness. Elsa felt a strange energy course through her. Her light-blue skin became pale, and her dark-blue hair became platinum blonde again. Her mind, which had been fogged up by the magic keeping her in Ahtohallan, had cleared. And even her clothes had now changed. Now she wore a small pale-blue dress complete with leggings, and she wore nothing on her feet. She turned her attention towards Gerda, and saw that she was still on the ground, shivering. "Gerda," she cried, rushing over to her to pick her up. While she attempted to do this, she heard the neighing and galloping of a horse. It was the water spirit, and it appeared to be smiling. The water spirit galloped into the chamber of statues and breathed on the remains of the statue Elsa had destroyed all these years ago. Elsa looked at the statue and it was as if time had reversed. The statue had now been restored to its former glory, and it even moved around. "Prince Hans of the Southern Isles," the statue seemed to say.

Then the water spirit trotted over to Elsa and Gerda and got down to the ground. Elsa lifted Gerda up and placed her on the water spirit's back, before also getting on its back. The water spirit carried Elsa and Gerda out of glacier and onto the icy shore of Ahtohallan. The water spirit got down to the ground so that Elsa could carry Gerda off it, and then knelt down and galloped back into Ahtohallan. It didn't take long for Gerda to thaw and regain consciousness. "Elsa," Gerda finally said when she regained consciousness. "At your service!" Elsa replied. "You look so different from how you looked the last time I laid eyes on you, but it's a good different," Gerda remarked. "So I take it you're no longer bound to Ahtohallan?" "No, you broke the curse keeping me in Ahtohallan," said Elsa, grinning. "The power of the Eternal Dagger ended when the spirits helped me destroy it along with Jacob."

"Wait, so the dagger needed to be destroyed so the spirits could take back the power of the dagger," Gerda mused. "So that was what the trolls meant when they said I had to divide the dagger amongst the spirits to give eternity to you." "Yes, my time with the spirits has finally come to an end," Elsa beamed. "Now that the spirits have returned to their former glory, they have restored the statue I once destroyed. But tell me, how did you do it? How did you find the dagger?" "Well, it's a long story," Gerda explained. "And it involves an old friend of yours from 23 years ago. Now then! We will begin. When the story is done you shall know a great deal more than you do know. He was a terribly bad troll, a troll of the very wickedest sort and, in fact, he was the devil himself." "That's a story I want you to write down," said Elsa, placing her right hand on Gerda's cheek.

"Do you want to build a snowman?" a voice cried out. Elsa and Gerda turned and saw a rowboat rowing towards the icy shore of Ahtohallan, and stepping onto the shore from the rowboat was a familiar red-haired royal. "Anna!" Elsa cried out. Anna and Elsa ran towards each other as fast as they could. Elsa took hold of Anna and swung her around, and then she embraced her with a hug. Tears of joy flowed down their faces like water rushing down a waterfall. "Elsa, you're so young," Anna joyfully sobbed. "My, you haven't aged in 20 years." "Only on the outside," Elsa laughed. "But you're not looking that bad yourself." Kristoff looked at the sisters, as an expression of guilt formed on his face. Inger grinned when she saw Anna and Elsa embracing. Kai was also grinning, but Hans laughed with joy.

Kristoff stepped off the rowboat, onto the ice, and walked towards Elsa and Anna. "Elsa… Elsa, I'm sorry," Kristoff said to her. "I was blind. I couldn't see past my…" But Elsa simply smiled and pulled Kristoff into a group hug. Inger and Kai also walked towards them. She pulled them into group hug as well. Then Gerda joined in as well. She and Kai turned their heads to look at Hans, and waved at him, urging him to join in. After a moment's hesitation, Hans ran over to them and took part in the group hug. Anna looked at Hans and frowned when she saw that Hans had joined in. When the group hug finally ended, Elsa said to Anna, "Anna, I know you are my home, but can we go back to Arendelle now? It'll be just like the good old days." "I thought you'd never ask!" Anna beamed.
