Izuku paid his villains for their contributions and they left soon after. But now what? They had pretty much accomplished their goal, right? He looked over at Shigaraki, who had his eyes on the tv which was playing news about UA.
"Looks like me and you are enemy number one huh?"
Izuku said with a lighthearted tone. After all they were the main masterminds controlling the actions of the villains. It only made sense that they were the biggest targets.
Shigaraki remained silent, sipping his coffee and continuing to watch the news broadcast.
Days passed and news of the USJ incident still had a deathgrip on most news programs as well as websites. Izuku was not worried he or Shigaraki would get caught, since they left no evidence of their location.
All that they knew was the appearences of Izuku and Shigaraki respectively, and took note as they told their underlings what to do, deducing that they were the leading culprits to the attack.
Izuku's villain name "Black Death" was brought up a lot, the news reminding people that he had killed 26 people in cold blood and was a threat to society, and should not be approached under any circumstance.
"Ughh... I really can't run away from the mantle of Black Death huh?"
Izuku uttered out as he rubbed his temples using one hand. It was a kind of good kind of bad thing that he was only growing more infamous. He had so many potential allies that would follow his every order, as well as potential enemies who will do anything to either send him to jail or kill him straight up out of envy.
The pressure was a bit stressful and made Izuku consider changing his identity. Then again wouldn't they just know who he is by his short and stocky build? It would probably be pointless. Not to mention, all of the benefits of being famous would be whisked away if he did successfully change his identity.
Nonetheless, he and Shigaraki had succeeded in their mission for the most part. Even if they do manage to recover faith in All Might, and in UA, there will always be skeptics now that they were shown how incompetent they truly were.
"So... I have a question... If you are so smart, why didn't you plan for Endeavor's arrival?"
Shigaraki finally spoke up, like usual not bothering to look him in the eye.
"I simply didn't feel the need to plan that far ahead to be honest. If you think about it, them sending Endeavor is a tale tale sign of not only the urgency of the incident, but also of the fact that All Might had lost. Once he arrived, we had succeeded in our mission. Things could have gone south if Dabi didn't distract him though.."
Izuku admitted, scratching the back of his neck in a humble fashion. His plan was a bit flawed and had obvious holes, but it got the job done and they witnessed the results of their actions first hand, reveling in it.
The fear surrounded by the villains, the negativity towards UA, the scepticism towards All Might. It almost pleased Izuku as much as it stressed him out. He couldn't help but flash a cheeky grin.
"Yes, you two did an amazing job, especially you, Black Death. Your self analysis about the situation was very formal, and impressive. Never in my life would I think a quirkless person had the potential to reach my legacy one day."
All For One spoke over the screen, his tone riddled with amusement and joy. This obviously made Shigaraki a little ticked off but he tried resisting the urge to kill Izuku.
"Mm.. It's only thanks to the preptime I had and Dabi's distraction. If it weren't for either of those, we would have been toast."
Izuku told the villain mastermind.
"So now what do we do? I'm honestly at a loss right now. Do we just watch and let things unfold or is there more we need to do?"
Izuku then asked.
"People will likely forget and forgive All Might's loss with due time. I would say there is more about him to expose to the masses, like how he was once a quirkless boy just like you..."
All For One suggested. Izuku couldn't tell if All For One was telling him to spread misinformation, or if All Might being quirkless at some point was a fact.
"Was he really quirkless?"
Izuku decided to ask.
"Yes, his power was simply handed to him by another weilder of One For All... Think about One For All in a similar light to my quirk, All For One... One For All allows the user to stockpile power and strength, and hand it to the next person, each generation of One For All getting stronger than the last. All Might is the eighth user."
All For One explained to Izuku. The thought of All Might being in a similar position to Izuku once honestly made him mad. He was just like him at one point, and yet he constantly discouraged Izuku for his actions and aspirations. All Might was a dirty hypocrite in Izuku's eyes.
"So... How would I expose his prior quirklessness exactly? Nobody would believe if we just had someone tell the public randomly... That's some conspiracy theory stuff right there... We need facts... And evidence. But where?"
Izuku then asked All For One who took a second to think about what they should do to prove All Might's unnatural quirk.
"You have to bring it out in him... Deep down behind that grin of his lies a weak man... Someone vulnerable. I want you to break him so much so to where he confesses. You've interacted with him, right? Why don't you go up and remind him of the villain you've become, and shame him on his hypocrisy."
All For One suggested. The idea didn't leave too much options for Izuku other than revealing his face outright. It would only turn those missing posters of Izuku into wanted posters as the public finds out who Black Death is... Then again... Maybe that could be the whole point.
He could simply reveal his face and shout a sob story about how he was just like All Might, quirkless and brimming with hope and aspiration, with Izuku falling into villainhood thanks to All Might. If he could get rid of the people's sense of reason with sympathy, perhaps he could convince t It was a high risk high reward situation.
Now was likely the best time to act. People had already been skeptical of All Might, so if someone went up and full on proved his incredibility and his unnatural quirk, maybe they would start losing faith altogether.
"All For One, is it okay if I borrow some Nomus from Ujiko? I want to cause a bit of chaos to get everyone's attention, and hopefully All Might's... I plan to reveal my identity by tonight."
Izuku asked of All For One who said yes, sending him on his way to the lab through use of Kurogiri's quirk. He had his mask on, waiting for the right opportunity to show his face to the public.
Izuku told Ujiko that he would be borrowing some Nomu, he was on board with the idea since Izuku helped make them in the first place. He said it would be unfair if he couldn't see his own creations in action... Izuku agreed.
Later in the night, Izuku, accompanied by some lower end Nomu stood atop a building overlooking the city. Izuku still adorned his mask as well as his armory of weapons.
Izuku boarded on a flying Nomu, soaring down towards the bustling streets of the city he once called home. Once low enough, Izuku hopped off, landing on his feet with a slide. He looked around for heroes to hurt since civilians would be pointless.
The boy's eyes landed on Kamui Woods, who was off duty at the moment, wearing a casual hoodie on his head rather than his hero suit. It was almost hard to recognize his visage because of how much he blended in.
As the other Nomus landed, Izuku commanded the artificial humans to attack the off duty hero. They obliged, charging at him with merciless abandon.
Kamui reacted to the beasts in time, throwing one of his branch arms upwards, wrapping it around a traffic pole. He used it to give him the movement to not only dodge the leading Nomu, but counter it as well as the hero dived in with a powerful drop kick.
"Kamui Canon!"
The arbor hero shouted as his hoodie came off, revealing the leaflike tufts of red hair on his head. The move he shouted was an obvious parody of Mount Lady's "Canyon Canon" since she had competition with him in terms of popularity.
The kick connected with the Nomu's face but it took the blow fairly well. Kamui spun midair as he unwrapped his branches from the pole, delivering a powerful wooden whip towards the same Nomu.
The arbor cut into its skin but the damage was quickly regenerated. A look of shock came across the hero's face as he was quickly surrounded by the other Nomus.
The artificial humans unleashed their quirks towards the hero, who did a fair job at holding his own all things considered. Though he was still taking damage and dealing none in return thanks to the Nomu's regeneration. Chunks of his arbor flesh got chipped away slowly but surely, and the hero accepted that this was a losing fight.
He began playing defensivley, swinging from lightpole to lightpole in hopes to dodge the Nomu's assault as he contacted the hero commission to send more heroes to the area at their soonest convenience.
He reported Black Death's presense, which was bound to rear some heads, possibly even All Might or Endeavor's since the villain was such a threat.
As Kamui Woods had succesfully made the call, heroes were on the way to the scene. The Nomus only grew more viscous as time went on, their anger being aroused by the hero constantly evading their attacks.
A large fire swept across the evacuated battlefield as the Nomus were all burnt to a crisp. Izuku gritted his teeth and looked over at Endeavor, who stood proudly in front of Izuku.
"Black Death... You are the one who coordinated the attack at the USJ... You also murdered 26 men in cold blood... Tonight you will be punished for your crimes and taken to justice!"
The flaming hero expressed angrily, before Izuku could react, he was speed blitzed by the hero and taken into the sky. Izuku pulled his katana out from its sheath, swinging the blade at Endeavor, who threw Izuku to the ground, both evading their respective attacks...
Izuku, now on guard with motivation in his eyes got into a fighting stance, his sword in hand.
Kamui served as a protecter of the citizens, as he was too wounded to be fighting. Not to mention Endeavor's heat would surely mess him up. It was better to leave Izuku to him alone.
"Didn't think me and you would be meeting again so soon, Endeavor."
Izuku teased the hero who scoffed in response. Endeavor shot out a large fireball Izuku's way, he dodged the attack with relative ease, but it was a misdirect. Endeavor flew out of the stream of fire, charging at Izuku.
Endeavor reeled his fist back in preperation to throw a flashfire fist Izuku's way. The boy took a deep breath, as he exhaled and swung his blade once more, the flames from the charge up attack vanished.
Endeavor had a somewhat shocked expression as the single concentrated swipe of Izuku's blade generated enough wind to dispell his flame. It didn't slow the hero's roll though as he landed a less charged up fire punch. The impact of the attack sent Izuku flying into a lightpole.
Izuku winced as his head smacked against the pole hard, he could feel blood start to trickle from his head and down his face. His right side burned from the flaming attack, he truly stood no chance against the hero... All he could do is... Run.
He turned the other way and hurriedly scaled the buildings, leading Endeavor into an alleyway. The hero used the fire jets from his feet to propell himself into the alleyway.
Endeavor caught up to Izuku and stretched a flaming hand outwards at the boy. The hand was evaded midair. Izuku used Endeavor's hand as a platform, jumping higher and knocking him down, throwing a knife at him. The blade flew right into his shoulder.
Izuku smirked as he heard the pained groans of Endeavor. Normally he'd hate to see or hear someone in pain, but now, as Endeavor chased Izuku down, the boy couldn't help but feel a bit of satisfaction towards him getting hurt like that.
Izuku made it to the top of the building. He wasted no time running on the roofs, jumping from roof top to roof top. Endeavor quickly recovered from the attack and began chasing Izuku again.
Izuku made it a point to go through smaller areas to take advantage of their complete size difference. The ball of flaming rage would only crash through it like a bull on steroids, but it woukd succeed in slowing him down a bit so Izuku could cover more ground.
Endeavor stopped suddenly, as he chucked a lance made of his own flames at Izuku. The boy gasped at the sight and jumped down in between the buildings for cover.
To break slow his descent, he landed on the laundry racks, The stringy but firm structures flexing downward and then up, bouncing Izuku into the air slightly. As he saw Endeavor charge down the alleyway, Izuku knew he had to think fast.
He quickly cut the wire of the drying rack, then wrapping it around the handle of one of his throwing knives. He then flung the knife, sticking it into the wall up above. The wire remained steady, enough so to where it would support Izuku's body weight.
Soon enough he began swinging from building to building similar to Kamui Woods, using his innovated grappling hook to get him from point A to point B much faster.
Izuku eventually found a decent hiding spot which was an indoors parking lot for an apartment. He swung in and slid in, the pure friction and inertia of the slide burning the soles off his shoes. They got so hot to where smoke wisped off of them.
The boy then quickly hid under a car as Endeavor entered the building, having seen Izuku enter the lot. His flames were white hot as he seemed almost eager to put the annoyance of Black Death to justice, seemingly cursing himself for not doing so last time...
Izuku's heart raced as he watched the hero scan the area thoroughly. He even checked outside of the building. He then began looking under the cars... He lifted them up one by one to be one hundered percent certain that Izuku was not under the vehicle.
He got to the vehicle Izuku was under and was met with a surprise attack from Izuku, who swung his improvised grappling hook at the villain. He dodged the knife and grabbed the wire, yanking Izuku towards him.
Endeavor tried delivering yet another flaming punch to Izuku's gut, but once again, he used the hero's hand as a platform, this time flipping over him, landing behind him, and managing to wrap the wire tightly around his neck.
Izuku yelled as he pulled as hard as he could in order to throw Endeavor. He succeeded in doing so, the hero's large body landing on a car's windshield, cracking it and crushing the car.
Endeavor quickly recovered though and grabbed the car, proceeding to volley it towards him. Izuku ducked under the flying car and charged towards the hero in a zigzag pattern in order to confuse him.
The hero got impatient and began throwing fireballs at Izuku, who hid behind vehicles for cover. Before the two knew it, the entire garage was on fire, smoke everywhere. The sprinklers then turned on...
The flames started to dwindle, including Endeavor's. Izuku grinned. This was his improvised plan. He needed to take the hero in doors and douse him with sprinklers so he would be weaker as a result.
Endeavor let out a frustrated growl as he stared black death down, who slowly walked out of a cloud of smoke, fanning himself with one of his hands in a mocking fashion.
"You bastard!"
The hero shouted as he threw more flames at Izuku, the flames of course being weakened by the sprinklers. Before Endeavor realized, being too caught up in his emotions, a long blade had pierced his solar plexus. Blood gushed from the hero's mouth. In a panicked state, he tried running out of the building but his ankles were slashed, making him fall on his face.
Izuku then jabbed his sword into his shoulder as a puddle of blood leaked out from under him. Endeavor then tried calling back up, which Izuku let him do. If it was All Might, then good, if it was any other hero, he'd simply get outta there.
He left the hero bloodied on the floor, cleaning his blade using his gloves. He then walked out of the smoking wet building, nonchalantly. He was in a manic state, similar to how he felt way back when he killed those thugs. He felt like he could truly take on any threat.
Author's note: Well here's chapter eight! I know I just dropped a chapter yesterday but I wanted to continue writing before my ideas went away lol.
Izuku is now on the war path as he is desperately searching for All Might, and all of the attention he can get. At this point, who else other than the symbol of peace could take him down? Tune in for next chapter.
