Lucas focused his gaze on her. "I understand why you feel the way you do. I'm only doing this because it's needed."
"I think you can come along for half of the tour instead of the whole thing. We can still experience this together and while you remain connected to the boys. After the other half of the book tour is over we can head home together." Lucas explained.
"I like that idea. I do want to experience this with you again."
"Thank you for finding a way to make it work." Brooke replied.
"I love you. You are the one for me. Of course i would find a compromise." Lucas reassured her.
When Lucas left for his book tour days later.
Their sons had so much quality time with their dad. Lucas had made a point to leave work early to make sure he was around for alot longer then they were used.
The boys were fast asleep when he left the home.
Brooke was able to take him leaving alot easier knowing they were going to meet up at some point during the middle.

Lucas eventually landed at his first location. He placed down his luggage and called Brooke. The two talked for awhile until the echo of the baby monitor ended the conversation between them.
The next number of days went on with the scheduled routine. Besides Brooke not going to work. So she was juggling the boys by herself while caring for herself as well.
Before she knew it a week had gone by. And She was finally hearing from her husband. At least she thought so when she picked up the call. And heard Arthur's voice instead.
"Brooke. They want more of Lucas. What can i say? I just wanted to let you know. We're extending the tour." Arthur announced.
"One autograph and picture per book!" Arthur exclaimed. Before ending the call.
Brooke called Lucas again. Not getting a call back and when she texted he didn't reply at all.
