Toshinori, despite being injured from the USJ still managed and got things done. His time window had shortened from three hours to two, as his wounds left him weaker. Nonetheless, he prevailed.
The hero's eyes widened as Black Death was mentioned through his earpiece.
"He had managed to critically wound Endeavor and is now going on a rampage around the nearby area. So far he has cut down six additional heroes."
The commissioner reported to Toshinori who gritted his teeth, asking for his location. They could not answer since they couldn't find him. All they found was the destruction in his wake.
Toshinori cursed under his breath and squatted down, jumping a couple stories into the air, using his new gained height as a vantage point in order to scope the villain out. Nothing. He sighed and landed on his feet, announcing to the commissioner as to his meager findings.
"There you are, All Might."
Spoke a sudden voice from behind. Toshinori quickly turned around, seeing Black Death out in the open.
"Black Death..."
Toshinori growled in a deep and intimidating but still loud voice. He stared the villain down, towering over him.
"All Might..."
Black Death mocked Toshinori, before letting out a chuckle of amusement. He then slowly removed the baklava off of his head.
"Yeesh I was starting to believe you didn't even work these hours, with that injury of yours only getting worse..."
Black Death expressed, fully removing the mask, his short and fluffy green hair flowing in the wind. A smile was plastered on his freckled face which was only made more haunting by the fact that blood from his previous encounter with Endeavor trickled down the middle of his forehead, the stream of red fluid parting ways at the bridge of his nose and cascading down his cheeks, reuniting at the bottom of his chin.
He could hear the faint sounds of the blood dripping to the concrete, like a broken faucet. Toshinori shivered from the inside, seeing the boy he once knew, once filled with optimism and hope, now a cold blooded killer with nothing left to lose...
"I bet you remember me. I can see that look on your face All Might! You look absolutely terrified huh? Terrified at the beast I had become, right?"
The villain spoke, seemingly reading Toshinori's mind. The hero bawled his fists and tried to keep a confident grin on his face, though his eyes told a different, more tragic story. His posture remained strong, his shoulders pulled back and his chest pumped out, though despite his confident pose on the outside, he was shivering on the inside.
"What pushed you to this point, young man?"
Toshinori said, wondering if he should be feeling anger or resentment towards himself, seeing as he might be the result of this formerly hopeful boy. If he was the cause, then 26 people died in cold blood because of him, and 8 people now left in critical condition.
"Believe it or not... It was hope! You managed to put me in my place but I tried so desperately to keep trying. I started working out and using villains and heroes alike as training dummies! I wanted to be someone selfless, I wanted everybody worth saving to be saved!"
The boy rambled on, speaking as loudly as he could to get his voice on live television. The news helicopters soared low and near to the scene, filming Black Death's reveal in real time.
"But because of a certain villain encounter... My mom ended up dying. It was the doing of some shitty gang, looking for power! I tried for months to process my own emotions, but I only kept falling deeper and deeper into insanity. Hell even now... I still try to retain some form of innocence!"
The boy continued.
"Okay, but what drove you to kill those 26 people?"
All Might asked, trying his best to keep a professional tone.
"Simple! Power! I realized that I couldn't find happiness without being selfish. So I went back and killed those gangsters! I got my name on the map and managed to join a villain organization where I can do whatever the hell I want. Though one day I plan to build my own villain empire!"
The boy then explained his reasons, growing more manic as time went on.
"And how exactly do you plan that?"
All Might then asked, eliciting a laugh.
"To be honest- I don't know yet! I'm so famous lately that I could honestly build one right now. Now that I'm giving you all my motivation for doing this, maybe i'll start making a legit audience!"
The boy then replied, stretching his arms out.
"I mean! Look at all the possibilities All Might! If you lived more selfishly, you could have avoided getting hurt! You could have gotten more rich and more famous! You could have been better! But you aren't. Now you only work two hours a day right? And you spend your free time looking like a deflated raisin while hiding from the public."
He then went on to say. Toshinori was silent. He simply took his words as nonsense, nothing for him actually to consider. Little did he know that this was the opposite. This was his conviction just like how being the symbol of peace was his.
"Y'know, for someone who's trying so hard to be a symbol of peace, you really fucked up. Now you're on a timer, and sooner or later, this shitty society will be left without that pillar, collapsing to a pile of rubble! If you were simply more selfish, you could have saved more people! Society as a whole would be more peaceful!"
The boy ranted. Toshinori was tempted to shut him up for good and put him in his place. But seeing as a missing boy like him has a lot of weight and significance, Toshinori could be seeing consequences and damage to his reputation if he just smashed him in the gut.
How could he even respond in this situation? This boy was just rambling on and there was nothing he could do about it! He had to try and reason with him one way or another... But how?
"Though... I guess you are selfish in one regaurd... All Might! You're a bloody hypocrite you know? Going on and on about me not being able to be a hero without a quirk, when you were guilty of the exact same hopes!"
Toshinori cursed in his head as he saw just how much this boy had knew about All Might's past. He knew he was quirkless... Does that mean he also knew about One For All?
"You're not even a natural hero! Your power was passed down onto you. You weren't born a hero you were just made one! For everybody wondering, believe it or not this is cold hard fact! His quirk is called One For All! It's a quirk that is passed down and it stockpiles power with every generation. He is the eighth user of this power! And seeing as he's so close to retiring, he's probably looking for a ninth at UA!"
Toshinori's confident grin briefly faltered, warping into a fearful grimace for a split second before regaining his facade. There was only one person he was certain had this information and would give it out in this context... All For One... Was he grooming him to become a deadly pawn to put to his disposal? The thought pissed him off greatly, but he remained cool and calm.
"Evidence beats cold hard facts boy! Put your money where your mouth is. If you're so confident that my power is indeed this One For All you speak of, then give me evidence as to how you know this!"
All Might demanded of the boy who waved his hand in a casual manner.
"No need All Might... So many people here will be left with the idea true or not. It's their job to percieve it in their own way. Seeing how incredible you are for information, lying to the public and all... There's probably little things you can do now to change their mind!"
The boy simply said before pulling out his phone, with the tap of a button, a black portal similar to the one's seen at the USJ had spawned.
"I think that's enough coming from me though. So see you All Might. Don't disappoint!"
All Might tried grabbing the boy but it was too late, as he fell into the pool of darkness and disappeared from his sight. The hero stood there in defeat, at a loss of words.
As the whole thing was considered resolved, he was swarmed with media attention, proceeding to ask about his connections to the boy, and about the true credibility of One For All.
Katsuki was in his room, curling a 45 pound dumbell as he scrolled through the channels rapidly until he found one of interest. His eyes widened in shock at what he was seeing.
"I-Izuku...?"
The boy mumbled, dropping his weight in disbelief. He shouted out to his mom, who hurriedly headed to his room, barging through his closed and locked door.
"It's him."
Katsuki announced to his mother in a shaky voice. He didn't even know what to feel anymore... He was a villain guilty of killing 26 innocents and injuring 8 others including Endeavor... He had orchestrated the entire attack at the USJ and was now pulling a stunt like this.
He had a lump in his throat and struggled to say a word as Izuku's speech was caught live on tape. His mother was the same. Their silence was made up by the amount of thoughts flooding into their heads, especially Katsuki.
The teen felt this sinking feeling in his gut that his actions and words may have led to many of Izuku's actions now. Guilt crept up his spine like a centipede as he felt the desperate need to approach and talk to him despite any danger that may come his own way.
Once the report ended and his mother left his room to think of what to do next, Katsuki began getting ready to search for Izuku on his own. He wanted to see for himself the monster he created.
Chose Akaguro wandered the streets of a nearby city in relativity to Izuku's reveal. The hero killer's blood red eyes were drawn to a set of tvs being sold at a store which played the news for many to see.
He wore a shocked expression on his face as he witnessed the boy's descent into madness on screen. A boy once filled with hope and determination to be just like All Might... With nothing to gain... Now a driven murderer, who hopes to live as selfishly as possible.
His change in conviction maddened Chose, he really wanted to have a word with the boy and really talk to him about his convictions. If this was truly his belief now, he only felt the need to eliminate Izuku altogether.
Izuku arrived back to the bar, wiping the blood from his forehead. Kurogiri quickly began patching him up and tending to his wounds. The boy reveled in the sight of his face being plastered all over the news, watching the TV behind the misty villain.
"Seems like a mission success."
Shigaraki blurted out in a sarcastic and backhanded tone, still seeming to have some resentment towards Izuku even after all this time.
"Yeah... Had to really fight to get my way but I did it."
Izuku said with a satisfied smile as his head was wrapped up with bandages, pushing his hair up a bit.
"So... You managed to beat Endeavor..."
Shigaraki said, trying his damndest to change the subject away from Izuku's success.
"Mhm.. Took a bit of luck and ingenuity.. I had doubts that I even stood a chance. And I wouldn't had that been a head on fight. I used my environment against him to get the upper hand."
Izuku said, proud of his own success against fighting the number two hero. His burnt arm was being coated in ointment as he spoke.
"You did very well Izuku Midoriya..."
All For One announced, expressing his joy by clapping his hands. Izuku rubbed the back of his head, laughing to himself but trying his best to remain humble in front of the villain lord.
"I'm probably bound to have some familiar faces drawn to me in all honesty... I know this boy... I called him Kacchan. Really angry and explosive. He's probably searching every corner of this damn city to find me as we speak."
Izuku half joked.
"Then there is Cho- I mean Stain.. He's probably mad at me since I've changed so much since the last time we've met. I'm expecting to have a word with him too."
Izuku then added.
"Well, with potential enemies comes even more allies as they say. Stain is pretty big you know... He has killed almost more heroes than you have people. He goes by the mantle of hero killer if I'm correct... I think that if we can just come to some agreement-"
All For One started to suggest but Izuku stopped him.
"No. He isn't easily swayed. He's like a God damn torpedo. He'll do anything to hit his target. There's nothing any of us can do to change him. I would know. Kacchan is the exact same."
Izuku explained, eliciting a disappointed sigh from All For One.
"Oh well... Guess they are just enemies through and through... But my point still stands. I'm sure because of your infamy, you'll be seeing a great spike in followers who have the same beliefs as you."
All For One responded. Izuku nodded with a smile.
"Yeah I guess so. I guess so."
Katsuki had left his house at roughly three in the morning. The detective that his mom contacted had left and he was sent to bed for the night. But the thoughts flooding in his brain wouldn't leave him be. They kept playing on loop like a broken record.
He had no clue where to even begin searching. He simply trudged the alleyways, angrily interrogating thugs and homeless people, his mind and body running on autopilot. No information was really gained though, his path immediately halted as someone stood in his way.
He had long and black hair, pushed up by a set of bandages covering the majority of the man's face. He had blood red eyes and a look of malice on his face, like he was on a conquest similar to Katsuki's. He adorned a crimson scarf that hung below him, just short of dragging against the ground.
All over his body he had weapons, knives, throwing knives, folding knives, and a katana in the back. All of them were holstered on his armor like suit. He looked built to kill.
Katsuki was on high alert at the sight of the man, his palms opened up as he got ready to fight him, seeing no other way out of this alleyway alive.
"Stay out of my way, boy."
The man hissed in a threatening tone. Katsuki took it as a bluff of sorts as he didn't even bother grabbing one of his weapons.
"I'm not the type to budge for anyone! Do you by chance know anything about Izuku Midoriya and his whereabouts?"
Katsuki interrogated the man who smirked.
"You sure got heart... But no. I have no clue. I'm looking for him right now since I have a word or two to say to him..."
He said, stepping towards Katsuki who only felt more inclined to fight him. Sparks popped in his palms as he got into a fighting stance, the man's smirk turned into a bloodthirsty grin as he grabbed the handles of two of his knives.
The two faced off, staring eachother down as their intentions met but clashed at the same time.
