Chapter 27
Brooke soon arrived back at the suite with her luggage. She was surprised at the do not disturb sign on the door.
She entered the room and closed the door.
"I thought you could use some time to unwind."
"I ordered room service. A bath is waiting for you in the bathroom. Lavender scented. Bubbles. Alcohol in a tall glass."
"We should have dinner tonight. I've got some resturants that i go too daily. You would like them. We could do shopping tommorow. And anything else you want while you're here." Lucas explained.
"That sounds really great. I don't ever want us to lose this bond and connection we have."
"We're so beyond just husband and wife. We're best friends."
"You and our kids that's what i've wanted my whole life. It's everything to me." Brooke admitted.
"It's everything to me too." Lucas replied.
"Now when are we going to get working on giving bringing a mini Brooke into the world.?" Lucas asked.
Brooke smiled up at him. "Our sons are 8 months old. We have plenty of tim to have another baby." She replied.
"Nathan and I are only three months apart."
"I think we should not only talk about having another baby. But actively work towards that."
"It is a group combination. And i love the idea of having our kids close in age. But of course i'll leave the final decision making to you." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"The bathtub is big enough for two. So are you going to join me.?" Brooke asked. When she re emerged from the bathroom.
In only a hotel robe.
"Not only will i join you. I plan to make up for my lack of communication." Lucas replied.
"I get to punish you. No touching until i say." Brooke commanded.
As she opened her robe and let it fall to the floor.
Lucas's eyes scanned her bare body. Feeling his entire body react.
As he rushed over to her.

Awhile Later
"Lucas how is Brooke settling in.?" Arthur asked.
"She's settled in. It's like she was here from the start."
"I need to clarify about earlier. I appreciate what you've done for me all these years. I was a new un experienced writer. But you believed in my work and i've accomplished alot following you're lead."
"Yet i think we blurred boundaries. What happens with my career is up to me and any insight and final agreement is for me and Brooke alone."
"I understand and have alot of empathy for what you're going through but i can't become you're life raft. My career is important to me. It's true."
"But my life with Brooke and our boys. That's the reason i wake up and get out of bed. They are my life." Lucas explained.
"I understand more then you know. But i also understand that having you want regarding life and family is almost impossible."
"You've spent 10 years working towards what you're finally gaining payoff for in the present. Don't let Brooke take that away." Arthur replied.
