Chapter 32

Lucas made his way back to the park. To find Lennon and Logan fast asleep in their double stroller.

"Should we head back home.?" Lucas asked.

"We should but me and babygirl Scott are hungry." Brooke replied.

Lucas handed her the bag of food she had wanted.

Once Brooke started to eat. She felt the baby begin to kick and move. She soon finished. And the baby settled.

By that point. Lucas had gotten the boys in the car.

Brooke threw away her takeout bag.

"Please tell me you got lunch for yourself too.?" Brooke asked.

As they settled into the car.

"I'll eat at home i wanted to make sure the three of you were focused on." Lucas replied.

Brooke leaned over and kissed him.

"We've never felt so loved and secure." Brooke stated matter of fact.

Before Lucas drove away.

Announcing the news of our pregnancy was met with joy. Excitment. And happiness. Everyone in our friend group. Reacted the way we thought they would.

Karen was beside herself with happiness. Looking forward to babysitting another grandchild and insisted she plan a baby shower for our daughter.

Which i was touched by. With everything that happened during the last pregnancy i didn't get to experience that moment of celebration.

Besides picking out the room for the nursery. Lucas and I hadn't done much yet regarding preparing for our daughter.

Which is why we were making it a point to get things done now. Especially since i was able to freely move around and be involved.

Lucas and the guys were painting the nursery and putting together needed furniture. Crib. Changing table etc.

While i was doing some baby shopping. The boys were spending quality time with my parents.

I couldn't help myself. Everything i saw for a little girl. I found myself grabbing and putting into my cart.

I was 13 weeks now. Our daughter is the size of a lemon.

I'm feeling this mood shift lately. My body is changing more noticeable now. My belly is getting bigger.

I'm not in the mood to tear off my clothes and have anything hot and sexy happen. Maybe that will change later on but i just want to do everything else but that.

I need to bring it up to Lucas but i'm not sure how he will take that and he's taking this break for my benefit. Am i being selfish? Brooke thought to herself.

She was relieved to get to the food court. It gave her a chance to unwind. Take a break and await her girlfriends who were joining her.

"Lunch is on me." A voice said.

Causing Brooke to look up from her cellphone. She hadn't decided what to order yet.

"Arthur. I'm sure you're missing Luke at the office. But me and the boys really love having him home. It's a big sacrifice being made but it isn't done in vain."

"He'll be back at some point." Brooke reassured him.

"I think if you really loved and valued his work and talent as a writer you would encourage him to go back sooner rather then later."

"A wife who loves and supports her husband wouldn't hold him back because she doesnt want to share him."

"His books are important to people. You've been to his book events."

"He's not writing at home. He deserves to shine and be recognized."

"You've had that with you're line." Arthur explained.

Before getting up and placing money near her purse.
