Chapter 36
"You don't know what you're saying."
"Why are you letting her win and get in the way of our plans.?" Arthur asked.
"Brooke isn't getting in the way of anything."
"I've come to my senses. It's nothing more then that."
"You're life is a shell of what it used to be. Because of you're choices."
"I refuse to let you're reality become my future." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"Luke don't do this. We're family." Arthur said.
Lucas stared back at him.
"That's where you're wrong. My family is at home waiting for me. That's never included you." He stated matter of fact before getting into his car and driving away.

Lucas made it home a short time later. He checked in on the boys who were fast asleep. Then he made his way into the couple's bedroom.
He turned on the lights and felt his heart and stomach sink.
"Brooke!" Lucas raced over.
Brooke's body laid limp in his arms.
Her cellphone nearby.
He dialed 911. And explained to the operator that he needed an ambulance now.
His wife was pregnant and passed out he had no clue how long she had been this way and what caused it.
.When Brooke awoke some time later. Her thoughts were racing. Her vision clouded by bright light lights.
And the aroma of a hospital filled her nose.
Lucas was there. He caressed her face. Relief came over him.
"What's going on.? Why am i in the hospital.?"
"The boys.?" Brooke asked.
"They are fast asleep. You're parents are over at our house."
"What happened to me.?" Brooke asked.
"I got back from the dinner and i found you on the floor."
"I didn't actually go eat. I met up with Arthur and fired him." Lucas explained.
Brooke's hands for their way to her belly.
"Is she okay.?" Brooke asked. Looking to me.
"You went into early labor. And you're body couldn't take it. Something went wrong." Lucas tried to explain.
"I'm here. I'm awake. Why isn't she here in a cot next me!" Brooke exclaimed.
"Brooke i need you to calm down and listen to me." Lucas said.
