"It's been a long time since we've spoken. The last we saw of each other was when you adorned the Praetor. Since then, as I swore to you, I have been traveling through reality. I would do what I could for those plagued by my Creator's presence. I would do all I could to prevent others from suffering his sadism. In my efforts, I was successful. Yet, just as your reality was threatened, so too were others.
I've observed many mortals since I began my path of penance. Like your kind, they are obsessed with exploring beyond their universe's confines. Some were sensible; others were not. One such reality is where I found myself. A single mortal forged a deal with my Creator. In doing so, he ushered forth the end of his universe.
Doom, as you're aware, is ever insatiable. Furthermore, they are always adapting. New species of Demon that you've likely not encountered yet were formed to invade this reality. Countless worlds, not just Earth, did their best to fight back. Alas, amidst the carnage and corpses, only one stood tall against them.
He is human, like you. However, he is different. You are a rampaging force fueled by rage. He is a methodical machine made for murder. You rush forward with brute strength and power. He dispatches his foes with only as much effort as needed. In the end, both are masters of their craft. Miracles of mortality.
Like you, he first believed me a threat. He tried his best to kill me. He even employed a device familiar to me. Something I hadn't seen since ages past. But as I continued to display no aggression and embraced each assault, as I did with you, he soon granted me time to state my purpose. Here, as we did, a partnership was forged.
His universe was dying. There was no way to save it. All we could hope to accomplish was removing my Creator's presence. World by world, we marched forth. I hid within his shadow, never revealing myself to the eyes of the Demons. If even one had seen me, I doubt you'd be listening to this message. As for him, he became the same as you in Doom's eyes. A persistent pest that refused to die as it should.
Eventually, we were successful. The device I mentioned was essential. They feared its power. No Demon, no matter how strong, would survive it. Having learned their lessons with you, they abandoned the universe. They had consumed its stars and most of its planets. It was little more than a void.
I assume they're still busily working to find a method of finally destroying you. Perhaps, by now, they have. If so, they've yet to employ it against us. Perhaps they assumed my partner would die to age and inevitably be delivered to them. I wouldn't be surprised if their thinking were so simple.
With this morbid peace achieved, we focused on the rest of Creation and monitoring Doom's behavior. After enough time had passed, my partner suggested the retaking of Urdak, which you've now discovered. You may wonder why I shared its existence with him and not you. In my defense, although we allied, we were not companions. You didn't want conversation. You cared not for stories or a history lesson. You received your promised armor, and I was granted the opportunity for redemption.
But, now that you are here, you may also ponder why we are not. You might also question why we did not attempt to restore Urdak. Surely, with it and Khan's resurrection, a proper rebellion against my Creator could be made. Hopefully, before I've even shared it, you assumed my reasoning was just.
Urdak is the only thing my Creator truly cares for. With its engines, it could create and no longer need only to consume. Nothing would be impossible. As such, neither I nor my partner would risk reviving these sacred grounds less we were certain of our success. Even if the likelihood of failure were but one percent, that'd still be too dangerous.
It is my hope, now that you have managed to find this place somehow, that we can be united. Even with the largest legion my Creator can produce, he would stand no chance against us three. You two could easily handle any horde whilst I return life to Urdak. Of course, upon Khan's waking, I'd need you both to assure her that I am no threat. Not because I'd fear for my death, but because I wish to be of use. What point would my penance serve if it ultimately led to nothing?
As for how you shall find us, this device, even across realities, can form a connection to any other apparatus it has been linked to. All you need is to issue the appropriate command to activate a rift generator on our end. Once done, a portal shall appear. I advise bringing a light source. Otherwise, you may find yourself stumbling in the dark.
It will be a pleasure and honor to see you again, Slayer. I do not know if such a sentiment will be given to me. I won't be disappointed if it isn't. My penance is still only beginning, even after so long. Until it is done, I deserve no forgiveness or camaraderie, nor do I expect it.
With that, I've said all that is necessary for now. We'll have more to discuss upon our reunion. Until then, Slayer."
