Artemis was the first one awake in the group. It's before dawn and she's shaking from nerves as she fears what awaits her at school.
She swore off men for millenniums and now she will be forced to sit by them and even work with them. She grimaced as she poured cereal into a bowl- all the breakfast food they had was cereal thanks to Demeter.
Apollo bounded into the kitchen with a grin on his face. He snatched the cereal box from Artemis's hand and poured himself a bowl, "Hey Arty!"
Artemis put her spoon into her bowl, "You should probably start calling me by my mortal name so we can get used to it without any slip ups."
"You got it Lu! Do you think school will be like High School Musical?"
"High school what now?"
"High school Musical, it's a popular movie that aired in the -"
"You know I don't keep up with the modern world, why are you asking me?"
Apollo gasped, "You never watched it?"
"Yes. You should know that."
"We're totally watching the movie when we get back from school."
Artemis shook her head, "Pick someone else to watch it with, I have no desire to watch any modern film."
Apollo pouted but grinned as Athena walked into the kitchen, "Sophia, have you watched High School Musical?"
"Which one? Isn't there three of them?"
"There's three? I only watched the first one!"
Artemis frowned at her sister, "How do you know this?"
"I'm the goddess of wisdom, it's extends to the entertainment industry as well. I usually do not share facts about the industry as I find it quite dull."
"Were the goddess of wisdom. You're mortal now."
Athena glared at Apollo, "Shut up Archie!"
Apollo held his hands in surrender as Poseidon and Zeus joined them in the kitchen, they were both scowling.
"This is real and not some sort of nightmare?" Poseidon groaned at the table.
Athena waved her spoon, "Gods don't dream, that should be the biggest hint that this isn't a nightmare to begin with."
Poseidon frowned deepened, "Does the school we have to attend to; Goode High, sound familiar to anyone else?"
Athena quizzically raised an eyebrow, "You don't know? Both Percy and Annabeth go there."
Artemis frowned, "Will they recognize us? some of us look different from our godly forms, but some of us look too similar to it."
Athena nodded, "I have no doubt my daughter will find out, but Percy wouldn't put the pieces together without her to tell him."
Poseidon looked insulted, "He will too!"
Athena snorted, "Sure."
Poseidon glared at her while getting out of his seat.
"We should wake up Duncan or we'll be late for school." Apollo interrupted any fights from breaking out.
"I'll wake up corpse breath." Zeus volunteered.
Zeus grabbed a baseball that leaned against the hallway wall. Poseidon ran after Zeus, "I'll make sure they don't kill each other."
Zeus much to Poseidon's relief was using the baseball bat as a stick to poke Hades with. Hades growled as he woke up to the pestering poking.
"Go get ready for school. If we don't go or if we're late, Hera might make us stay longer in this form." Poseidon said pushing down the possibility of a fight.
Hades got out of his bed begrudgingly, he didn't want one more day added to their punishment.
The group got ready for school. They dressed similar to what they were wearing when they turned mortal. Hades wore a black sweatshirt and jeans. Poseidon is dressed in a navy blue Hawaiian shirt decorated with green palm trees with Bermuda shorts. Zeus wore a electric blue v neck with beige cargo shorts. Athena wore a grey shirt with light blue jeans. Artemis wore a silver long sleeve shirt along with black leggings. Apollo wore a white shirt underneath a yellow jacket paired with jeans that had rips in it.
Once they were all ready they took a bus to the school. They were silent on the ride as they all mulled over their own thoughts.
Zeus was furious at his wife. How dare she overthrown him, and most of his children backed her up. Once he gets his powers back, there'll be no one to stop him from getting revenge for those who voted for this.
Poseidon was nervous as his son attended the school. Would he recognize him? Would he be freaked out that his father was attending the same school he was? Poseidon wanted to spend more time with his son, but would Percy want the same thing?
Hades was depressed, it was bad enough he had to spend his days with the dead now he would spend them with overly hyperactive teenagers.
Athena was curious, now she can live the life of a demigod. She always wondered what that was like for them, was it tough or easy on them? She probably would get recognized by her own daughter and Athena wasn't sure how her reaction will be? Their last meeting didn't leave off on the correct foot, Athena thought in shame.
Artemis was dreading school. She'll have to dodge all of the boys without causing any behavioral issues. That wasn't going to be easy.
Apollo was scared. His father has been giving the stink eye ever since he voted for the change to happen. What would be his punishment when Zeus got his powers back? Apollo shuddered, he didn't want to think about it.
They got to the school on time and headed to the office to get their schedules.
"You must be the Lyre family . Welcome to Goode High! Here's your schedules." The secretary passed out the schedules, "We have block periods so your classes will alternate by day."

"It looks like we have some classes together." Apollo said as he peaked over his twin's shoulder.
"It appears we all do." Hades grumbled looking at his brother's schedule. He was hoping he would be separated from his siblings as he had to share living spaces with them.
"Why are you taking marine biology?" Poseidon asked Athena.
"I didn't sign up for the class, Hera must've put us in the same class."
Poseidon frowned, he didn't want to have the former goddess of wisdom to be in his territory. He knew she'll try to attack his intelligence over the sea, and he'll have to be on his best behavior as he knew much more about the sea than her.
The bell rang.
"I guess it's time for class."
You're going to have to bare with me with my updating schedule. It's not going to be the same frequency as my other fic as that is already prewritten.
This isn't prewritten, technically I have a rough draft for both chapter 4 and 5. Putting emphasis on rough as I wrote them during one of my insomniac episodes I get at three in the morning. Let's just say it's not coherent, and it will need multiple edits.
I'm striving for updating it once every 2 weeks, but if you're a long time viewer a you'll know it may not be that optimistic. Chapter 4 and 5 will probably get posted before the 2 week time limit as they're somewhat written.
