Sans watched the entrance to the judgment hall, waiting patiently once again for the demon to make its presence known.
How many times has that thing done this now? Fighting him, he lost count of that long ago, the number of times he has dunked on the kid were too numerous to keep track. Even the number of times the little creature has killed him was blurred into the rest of it.
The number of times it has killed Papyrus however, he can't help but recall each one. All one hundred, thirty-seven times, Papyrus stood there, offering a peaceful solution, asking for them to make a better decision. Doing his best to be the friend they needed.
And they killed him each and every time.
Sans sighed as he watched the demon enter. They have a rough start, dying to his opener. It's like this every time, they get so lax throughout their previous victories, the only real challenges being Undyne and himself. He can enjoy watching them die as they find their groove again, no skin off his bones.
Again, again, again, and again. Death after death, and yet the demon returns again. Whittling its way through his attack patterns, as usual. There will be times it slips up and dies sooner than the previous, but it always comes back. Sans is just happy that he physically resets to full energy as well, or else this would be impossible.
All of his exhaustion is mental, seeing as the emotional tank ran out cycles ago. Everything feels so pointless, and eventually, hopefully, this creature gets sick and tired of it as well. Maybe, if he keeps this as the same exact thing, they will grow just as tired as him. Maybe if he eased up a little and allowed them to have an easier time killing him, they won't find his challenge fun anymore and just leave them all dead. Or if he's lucky, beyond any level of luck imaginable, the little demon will come to the realization of how boring this all is after they reset, leaving them to just live on in the underground.
Sans stopped keeping track of the amount of times he killed the demon, it was all the same in the end. The kid was starting to last into the last phases consistently, getting closer and closer. Well, at least this will be over soon, and he will get a chance to talk with his brother soon.
He fell asleep again. Just a wink to catch his breath, like he always says, just long enough for the demon to push their way over to the fight button, like every other time. And as he snapped awake to dodge the expected attack, as usual, it was a fake out that allowed them to attack his new location, and get the hit they needed to end him, cutting him from his right shoulder diagonally down.
Sans hadn't seen the maneuver coming the first time, and if he started anticipating it now, the demon would never stop being entertained.
A never ending nightmare he was hoping would soon stop.
So, he said his lines, the same way he had been saying it since the first time he was killed, all in hopes to be as mundane and boring as possible. Maybe one of these runs, he should just not show up. Sans' soul hovered about for as long as he could, taking one last look at Papyrus' scarf, before his coat, filled with dust, collapsed onto it.
Chara watched Sans stumble out of view, behind a pillar, sitting there as he died. He always did this, and it was just getting more and more boring as time went on. But she was still having some fun, Sans always proved a challenge, especially after they grew bored from the easy wins.
Now to move on and finish this once again.
Chara followed along the final hallway, ignoring the stairs that lead to the other fallen corpses. Such sentimentality from an old goat that decided their lives weren't worth it. No life was worth anything after all, other than what you could gain from it.
Chara walked right past the throne room, ignoring Asgore's little garden, right up to the location of the barrier. And right to the final kills. Asgore and Flowey, the King and backstabbing best friend, who proved once again that he can't go through with any plan properly. Once again, Chara was kept from killing the king because Flowey decided to prevent her escape.
Too bad for Flowey, this time would be different.
"See, I am useful, I can help. Please don't…"
"Don't worry Asriel, after how many times I have slaughtered everyone, I gained something more than a human soul, meaning I could leave whenever I wanted."
Flowey cringed as he listened to who used to be his best friend. "But w…"
"Isn't it obvious? I wanted to have fun, and this place has been really fun to cut my way through. I have been using this place as practice for when I feel like moving onward, and killing more, gaining more power. All so I can continue my game, beyond the end credits."
Flowey stared in shock, watching in fear as his once best friend threw the king's cape across the room out of the way, spreading his dust across the floor, all while wearing a new kind of smile. A smile that while similar, was far more fear inducing than the one he remembered teasing her about. And as his past once more sliced him apart, as she has done over a hundred times so far, the only thoughts he had were of how much he missed his sister.
Chara sighed in frustration.
This was becoming more and more boring. Every kill was the same, every fight even more so. The definition of insanity was doing the exact same thing and expecting a different outcome, but what was the opposite? She did different things, killed monsters in different orders, and always got the same outcome, what was this called?
Chara's thoughts were interrupted as she heard something, something beyond the barrier, rocks crumbling from, most likely the top of the mountain, maybe some bird landed and knocked some stones over. And shouted in pain…?
Something new, something she hasn't done yet. Is it through her own actions that this happened, or has she just been missing out on this every run?
She has to know.
As the demon in girl skin stepped through the barrier, her corrupted soul, pushing past the barrier as if walking through jello, leaving her with a chill as she stepped out, and found a boy with way too much muscle doing his best to stand. And those were a lot of scars she could see, maybe he had one hell of a story, maybe she could… Oh, he is warning her about demons in the neighboring town Gravity Falls.
Frisk had never been, having been warned over and over that the people there were a couple screws short for a solid shelf. Apparently everyone there, even as they got their lumber from them, were just plain crazy. And Chara had fallen down way before the town's founding, so she obviously didn't know.
Chara shrugged, maybe if this timeline didn't entertain her, she could help the boy instead. Chara slashed the boy, watching as he just broke down and chuckled. Yeah, maybe next time she would do something different, maybe lead him on, that would be new. She just walked away, her goal now, meet some new demons.
And kill them.
Sans didn't understand what was happening, but he actually managed to open his eyes again, with all his memories and thoughts intact. Normally he would be fuzzy for a bit after a reset, but this time, he felt lighter than air, and noticed he felt oddly determined.
Turning, he found the reason, seeing as there was a new face in his corridor, wearing his jacket, getting his dust all over his open, and familiar, scar.
A scar leaking blood that was filled with determination.
Then came his words, he was pretty much asking permission to use his coat so he wasn't so cold. If Sans was inclined to communicate, he might mention that it was probably caused by the lack of blood flowing through your body properly.
And then came the comment about the scarf, where Sans really paid attention, his anger made a quick spike, before he lost all his anger, and the words just slipped out. "He was the coolest brother in the underground."
Sans hadn't meant for the words to be heard, but he still got a response. "I am guessing that creature that left us with matching cuts got to him?"
Sans turned to the boy, realizing that he could see him. "Yeah. That demon killed everyone in the underground. Though I must admit, you look like you have your own demons, seeing what all has happened to you."
Dipper chuckled as he looked at the skeleton that appeared in front of him, his form looking closer to a ghost than anything. "Yeah, a demon took over the town, murdered my sister and friends in front of me, altered my body as some sick form of vengeance for getting the drop on him, and had his friends use me as a chew toy."
Sans cringed. "My demon just killed us over and over again, just for its amusement. No matter how many times I killed it, it just refused to stay dead."
Dipper chuckled. "Too bad we can't take another shot at it. Maybe if we worked together, we could make them both stay dead."
Sans blinked, something that caught Dipper off guard, seeing as he just had blank hollow eye sockets until he did so, revealing himself to have two white pupils within. "Maybe we can."
Dipper grunted. "How? I am losing blood, and on my last few breaths, while you are a ghost."
Sans chuckled, before he stepped closer and placed a hand on Dipper's wound. And the dust that had been laying across him, moved into the shape of a cut that overlapped the one Sans' demon gave him.
Dipper suddenly stopped bleeding, as by some force of magic, he was able to move and stand. He couldn't see Sans any longer, but he was able to hear him. "Something similar here happened to Asriel, when determination was dropped onto his dust and bound him to a flower. I wonder how this will affect me, seeing as he lost his soul."
Dipper stretched out what felt like kinks from a long night of restless sleep. And he closed his eyes, and screamed in pain, as almost thousands of thoughts flooded his mind. But this time, his screams were accompanied by another's, as both of them experienced the other's thoughts and memories.
Dipper and Sans were screaming for almost a full minute as the pain, both emotional and head crushing, passed. "Alright, I separated our conscious thoughts. I did the best I could, given that we were both feeling that. I will fix and repair our connected souls as time goes on, but."
Dipper, as he was looking forward, watched as a heart appeared before him. It looked like one depicted by social media when they didn't want to show a real heart. It looked to be a deep red, with some cracks out of it, where what looked like an upside down white heart was placed under it and used itself to patch up where the red one was damaged. From what info he could recall from his short time trying to sort through Sans' knowledge, his soul was dying, and Sans' used itself to stitch it together with its own parts. The end result was them being alive, but dependent on each other to stay that way.
"Why do I feel myself smiling?"
Sans chuckled. "After making a face for so long, my muscles just got stuck that way."
Dipper chuckled. "I guess I just don't have the zygoma to stop it."
Both souls took an extra moment to just chuckle over the puns. Dipper had never actually taken the time to think about puns, doing his best to grow up fast, so people would take him seriously. You never know what you might miss, until everything collapses around you.
Sans and Dipper stopped chuckling, as they began to pass thought's between the other. Dipper's thoughts and knowledge of the overworld and Gravity Falls, feeding the thoughts of the smartest mind in the underground, while the ideas with science and magic from Sans fueled further ideas for Dipper. And this next idea they were concocting, would be something to remember.
They just needed to go retrieve a machine, and some extra help from a couple forgotten souls.
Chara scoffed as she danced around these so-called demons. That boy had made them sound like they were actually threats, but all she has been experiencing is target practice. They weren't even smart enough to use their magic to force her into the same situation as the monsters from the underground.
And some of these things were annoying. The other humans weren't all that fun to deal with either. The moment she made her way into the town, she had realized there was a similar barrier around it as there was for the underground.
It started with a giant robot fight.
Yup, you heard that right, a giant robot that looked like a crappy house with legs, and arms, one looking like a t-rex breaking free from amber, and apparently, the house needed a tail. They were dealing with the other demons, until a giant triangle decided to attack them. The tables turned rather quickly from there, even with a barrier protecting the house.
As soon as the triangle got smart enough to notice the idiots forgot to guard their legs with their barrier, breaking one off and beating them with it, which she will admit was kind of funny to watch. She was left watching as the humans still around tried to retreat, only to be surrounded. Chara would have left them all to suffer their miserable fates, if the loud obnoxious head, dragging itself across the road with a bloody stump coming from the top of its head, groaning over the lack of a lower jaw, as fingers replaced its upper teeth, hadn't started to groan at her and reveal her position.
Somehow, being in this place had upped her magical potential, and when she swung her knife, her determination launched a red slash that cut the miserable disgusting creature in half. This of course, got the attention of the triangle that dragged her into the spotlight, revealing her to all the humans.
The other demons thought her a fun new target, a new hero. Even as the humans, and apparently some monsters now that she got a better look at them, she danced around these pathetic creatures and cut them each down one at a time.
Chara rolled her eyes as the humans decided that they should continue the fight. The only ones really worth mentioning, would be the two old guys, as the one had some gun, and the other had a pair of knuckles that actually pushed the demons back. Too bad they decided to give her backup, expecting her to help them cover the retreat of the less battle oriented humans and monsters.
One cut, two lives gone.
The other civilians were left shocked, as they were now staring down a smiling demon. Everything they had planned, down the drain as they watched the two old men get beheaded. And Chara was off and cutting into everyone. Human, monster, and demon alike, none were spared from her knife.
"Well, well, well, what have we here?" Bill was almost entertained as he watched this strange child slaughter every person and thing around. "Maybe you will be more fun, but I now have to punish you for giving me more work. But now I can make a deal with Sixer for his entire family."
Chara smirked, even as she dodged the demon's punches, even as he just zipped himself apart to dodge her slashes. This was new, this was thrilling, and this was annoying. Bill was as dodgy as that stupid smiling trash bag, but with a more nasally voice. And no matter how long she lasted, the damn thing continued to avoid her with relative ease. What was with final bosses dodging her attacks?
As Bill laughed at her again, he duplicated, and each started to send their fists at her, giving her the feel of dodging Sans' blasters again. But this was cutting things too close, she was getting hit too much, and even if she did have a couple food items left from her fight with Sans, she had no the time to pull them out. As she kicked off Bill's fist, she leapt up, raising her knife, about to swing it as she reached Bill's face, she was suddenly smacked out of the sky, slamming hard into the ground.
"Okay, this is reaching apex boredom kid. Yeah, you can dodge, and that little magic you have was cute for the first chunk of my wasted time, and watching the look of betrayal cross Sixer and Fez's faces was funny, but this is just dragging on. Who and what are you?"
Chara glared at the crappy floating creature. Frisk had never heard of this guy, so the knowledge gained through her soul was useless. "Well, I have no idea what or who you are either, so I don't see the point in mingling with something so boring."
Bill chuckled. "Kid, please, this has been the most entertaining thing since my stupid minions knocked Pinetree outside the barrier trapping us here." Chara narrowed her eyes as she thought about that boy. "I can see you thinking, you met him, haven't you? A young brunette boy with a body so manly, even your cold, dead, hate coated soul swooned."
Chara scoffed, narrowing her eyes as she resisted the urge to laugh at such stupid assumptions. Bill rolled his eye as he caught her laughing at him. "Hey, I will have you know, I worked hard to force his muscles to burn away and rebuild properly, in the proper shape and everything to still look human."
Chara, for once, didn't really want to think of how that must have felt. Sounded painful enough without her thinking about it. "Well, I guess he should be thankful for me ending his suffering then."
Bill would have been pouting if he had a mouth. Before he glitched. "Well, something is hovering about, around here somewhere, I wonder, who could it be?"
As Bill turned around, ready to throw a punch, he was suddenly hit by something familiar to Chara. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the smiley trashbag. How are you still alive?"
Chara was having some trouble getting a good look at Sans' face this time, his hood was up, and covered enough that what she normally saw, was cloaked in shadow. His hands were in his pockets, his white shirt swapped for a red one, from what she could see at least, his coat was zipped up.
"Heh, sorry brat, but I ain't giving you a chance this time."
From the shadows of his hood, a glowing blue eye as usual, but it was accompanied by a glowing red one. And Chara found herself battling Sans once again, and even with this new event, it was the same battle again. "Are you telling me, you got a second chance, and are wasting it trying the same thing?"
As Chara rushed forward, she took a swing, and this time, as Sans shifted to her left, he spun and kicked her in the face. Chara had less than a second to think of how much more that hurt than being hit by Sans' bones, before she crashed into a building.
"Hey, if I didn't know any better, I would say that was my work." Bill floated back over, a burn around his eye, like he got punched and left with a bruise. Apparently it wasn't as easy to heal magic damage. "Why are you using Pinetree's body?"
Chara stood up laughing, ignoring the blood as it dripped from her broken nose. "So, Sansy, you decided to become what you hate most, just to get a second shot at me. I guess that actually makes you the ultimate hypocrite!"
Noticing Bill's curiosity, Sans decided to shrug. "Bill, this is Chara, Chara, this is Bill Cipher. You both are disgusting murderers, and both deserve nothing but death and mutual destruction. And I don't care what I have to do to do it."
As Bill laughed, he floated higher. "Well, I will let you two rehash your little spat, and I will toy with the winner before continuing with my plan for this stupid universe. Go ahead, don't mind me."
Chara shrugged, ignoring the floating shape as she rushed forward, this time making sure to keep an eye on her target, ready to avoid getting kicked again. Until Sans teleported further away from her, avoiding her slash, and pulling out his phone. "Actually, I have a different idea. How about a change of venue?"
From Sans' phone came a machine, before he pulled out a gun that looked similar to the one used by the one old guy, before he shot Bill with it. As Bill screamed, having not expected for it to hurt, Sans pressed a button on the gun as Chara watched, curious over what would come of this.
Bill began to get pulled towards them, before he slammed into a barrier. Bill tried his best to resist, before he took notice that the gun's magnetic waves were different, and they were pulling on a small golden triangle that was able to go through the barrier. Bill screamed again, this time in rage, as popped through the barrier.
Hearing something solid hit the ground behind him, he turned and found a rather handsome statue, if you asked him. "What did you do, Bonetree?"
Chara was also curious, though no one was too curious as a second wave of energy moved along the barrier. Sans chuckled, "Well, Chara there should understand, that when a spirit takes over a soul and controls their body, they can sift through their knowledge. I used Dipper's knowledge and got a magnet gun. Using my knowledge of soul magic, I made something that could rip a soul straight out of someone. Now, I just have to do something to ensure you can never mess with this timeline again."
Sans flipped a switch on his machine, and suddenly, there was a burst of air that flew away from them.
After the monsters were released from the mountain, they tried to make contact with the village Frisk was from. It did not go well, seeing as the mayor had been unreasonable with his demands.
Asgore had been very clear that they only wished for peace, and yet the mayor was treating them like wild animals, even having a hunter try to go after them. There was only one hunter, but Papyrus was the one to stop him, talking with them about what they were doing, and even cheering them on when they said they were trying to be sneaky. Papyrus wound up leading them all over the woods, sneaking alongside him, giving him nice encouragement, about how great he was at sneaking. They even did hunt a couple of wild animals, and Papyrus was so nice to talk about how great and wonderful he was.
The hunter failed his mission to rescue(kidnap) Frisk, but he did get invited by Papyrus to visit when he found a home to try his famous spaghetti, whether he decided to join him for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, all meals were great enough for the great Papyrus to make his underground's greatest spaghetti after all.
Sans mentioned that the guy passed his judgment when Asgore asked. Apparently, the mayor was passing around the info that they were cruel and tormenting a child and holding her hostage.
So, with promising Papyrus that they could send a letter to his new friend with the details of their new home, they began to follow the highway, as Frisk called it, to the next nearest town.
And caused an accident when a bus swerved and crashed, with the ones inside it sustaining minimum damage. It was a quick and easy fix, the injuries, not the bus. None of them had what was required to pull the bus from around the tree, they were lucky that the driver wasn't worse off. But the three humans and pet pig joined them on their trek to, or back to in their case, Gravity Falls.
Dipper had been excited to chat and talk with the many monsters about themselves, their culture, and their magic, Alphys and Asgore were the two that enjoyed answering his questions most. Mabel had spoken barely a sentence, and she and Papyrus had become the best of friends as the two talked about crafting their outfits.
"Don't be silly, as great as your first project is, every project is just as great and fun to make. Could you imagine if you had a different scarf for every day of the week? That's seven great designs by a great artist that people should be allowed to see."
"Sans! Did you hear that, I have great talent just waiting to be shown to everyone!"
"I always told you bro, you're the coolest."
Frisk was honestly the most confused about the reaction the twins had to the monsters. So Dipper decided to give them a bit of the story about their summer, and tell them of how the fallout went. Even about the 'Nevermind All That' law that the mayor just passed.
The only other thing that happened was when Dipper met Grillby, as Sans wound up introducing them, in order to get Dipper to not ask him questions. Grillby was a good sport about answering some intellectual inquiries about his kind, Dipper was respectful with his questions, and even mentioned that if they don't want to answer them, they just have to say so. Sans chuckled as Dipper gave him a pointed look.
Needless to say, when Dipper and Mabel walked back into town, everyone there was surprised. The bus driver went to make a call to his bosses about the accident. Apparently, Mabel knew nearly half the monsters by name by now, and started introducing them to everyone, along with Frisk, as Dipper introduced Asgore and Toriel to Tyler Cutebiker, before he let them before he pulled Alphys over to meet his great uncle Ford, the scientist.
Someone had given the gruncles a call when they noticed the twins in front of a group of monsters. They might have panicked a bit, but Mabel being as happy as she was, calmed much of their nerves.
Everything was going along smoothly, Asgore was talking with Tyler, and he was more than happy to welcome them into their community, they were already welcoming some of the creatures in the woods, like gnomes and manotaurs, though apparently, Asgore had no recollection of either of these creatures ever being members of his people.
Before anyone could speak further about anything, there was a strong force shoving everyone away from the field in the center of town, a strange barrier just appeared out of nowhere.
It took a moment for everyone to take note, but eventually the dust cleared to reveal three, well two people, and a very familiar triangle all trapped within. "Bill! What are you doing here, how are you alive!?"
"Fordsy! Good to see you again man, looks like we can start all over again."
Bill began to float up as he appeared to be smiling at Ford, until he made contact with the barrier, and his reaction surprised several there. He began to scream in pain, as the lines that appeared on his form began to light up with a rainbow of colors.
Bill fell backwards, twitching slightly as he laid there. The one wearing a coat similar to the shorter skeleton, chuckled. "Well, as you can see Bill, that barrier there has you trapped here with me. Maybe you should take a page from your fellow demon and take a breather to see what is going on before trying to pull a stunt."
Papyrus looked past the barrier, "Sans, is that you? What is going on here?"
The person within the barrier didn't turn to look at him, but there was a different reaction from someone. "Chara?"
Toriel was staring at the brunette child within the barrier, blood covering their face from when they took that kick, her eyes wide open as she began to smile. "Well, hello, mother."
Frisk looked confused, along with a certain spirit connected to her soul, as they both watched in a bit of confusion. Sans stepped forward, stopping not too far from the barrier. "You're that demon from all those nightmares, aren't you?"
Chara burst out laughing, and it was not something Asgore or Toriel could stand hearing, it was broken, sad, angry, and somehow darker still.
Bill finally got back up, glaring at the Sans within the barrier. "What did you do Bonetree? Where is my Weirdmageddon?"
The coated figure within the barrier chuckled. "It's back in the previous timeline. I had to remove you two from it, to make you both easier to kill of course."
"Sans, you can't be serious. You promised me you wouldn't!" Toriel was shocked her friend, a monster she put her faith in, was outright saying he was going to break his promise to her.
Sans turned to look at her. "I did everything I could to help Frisk."
The trapped figure chuckled again. "Actually, old lady, I promised I wouldn't hurt a child. I said nothing about a demon."
Chara burst out laughing. "If what I am is a demon, then what are you Sansy!? Oh, who's that I see? Maybe you have something to share with everyone?"
The Sans trapped with Bill and Chara, dropped his hood. Causing several to gasp at seeing the young Pines boy. "Okay, if you really want them to see me. I admit it, this is Dipper's body, that you killed."
Mabel gasped as she turned to see Dipper practically cowering with Alphys, both of them hiding behind Undyne and Wendy, a green spear and ax held respectively, and defensively. "Dipans?"
Somehow, with as silent as everyone was being, Mabel's mutter was heard by everyone, causing her brother to facepalm.
Before anyone could say anymore though, Dipans (because the author can't think of a better name and needs a way to differentiate between the three) took a quick shortcut right into Chara's personal space, before kicking her in the chest, launching her back, slamming her right into the barrier.
While Ford got ready to defend everyone, he found the action pointless, seeing as when the demonic child hit the barrier, it was electrocuted and screamed in pain.
Bill had enough of waiting, so he flew upward, and towards Dipans, who scoffed as he formed a wall of bones between them, which Bill decided to ignore, which he immediately regretted doing. Bill didn't think the bones would be a problem, seeing as he no longer had a physical body, but couldn't leave this pocket realm the skeleton possessing Dipper created. Bill slammed into the bones, and he felt each one stab into his spiritual form, and it felt like a poison was flowing through him as part of him became purple.
Bill floated back, not able to really focus as Dipans laughed at him, before he turned his focus back to Chara. "So, ready for round two with me? I am still under the impression that kids like you should be burning in hell after all."
Chara rushed forward again, swinging her knife around at Sans, who just tilted slightly, dodging each wave of energy that flew from the knife. Dipans suddenly popped up behind her, and punched her in the back of the head, slamming her into the ground. "You appear out of practice kid, something the matter?"
Dipans suddenly jumped back a couple times, dodging several yellow waves that tore at the ground. "Alright you sack of bones, what is all this? I am able to continue to use my magic, yet I know you left my body behind in our timeline."
Dipans rolled his eyes. "I created this barrier to trap both of you in here with me, and this whole thing is powered by my magic. It did take me a good half an hour to sneak about and grab the items Dipper left about the forest when he formed that rebellion, but it will all be worth it. You two are trapped here till I die, and neither of you have the power to kill me, Chara can't outlast me this time, and each time they reset, I get all my energy back, and this fight begins all over again. No items to heal yourself, and I won't grow tired from using up a lot of magic."
Sans chuckled, drawing everyone's attention to him, including the two demons within the barrier. "I see what you did here. You are using what was left of Dipper to take control of his body, and after a bit of healing, you used the knowledge from his memories to get all this together. Bill apparently is just a soul, and with as much bad karma as he has, our ability is killer on him. And our demon no longer has the advantage of being the only one with a physical body."
None of the others were fully aware of why Sans spoke up, but Dipans smirked at him. Bill screamed again as he was hit with a couple more bones, before Dipans teleported behind Chara, and kicked her in the back of the head, grabbing her ankle as she flipped forward, he tossed her towards Bill, and just as she passed over him, A Gaster Blaster shot down on them.
The humans began to cower away from the display, as the monsters that knew Sans stared in shock, some even in awe.
Bill pushed his way up, causing Chara to fall off him. "Listen here Knife, this is gonna end badly for us. I can't withstand his stupid magic, like he said, and you don't have the kind of magic you need to get at him properly. But if we worked together…"
Chara scoffed at the demon, before standing, ignoring her broken ankle as she pulled out a hero sandwich. A quick meal, and she was a hundred percent and running forward, swinging her knife down, Dipans actually frowned as he grabbed her wrist.
Yanking her hand down, he raised his knee, a loud snap and her elbow was stabbing out of the inside, her screams causing Toriel to attack the barrier with her flames. "That is enough Sans, Dipans, whatever it is you're going by. I will not stand idly by while you harm my child!"
Toriel was crying as she tried again to get through the barrier. She felt that if she could stop this fight, and just talk with Chara, reason with her, all this wouldn't have to happen. As her flames lost strength, A large red trident took a stab at the barrier, causing the entire thing to shake.
Turning, Toriel looked on in shock. "Come Tori, we have to reason with our child. She was a rather complex child, but you always could reach her, even when she was getting used to us. I gave in to despair once, and it cost me the one I treasured most, I refuse to surrender now!"
The two's moment was halted as another voice tried to reason with them. "Even if you could reason with the child in there, what about dealing with Bill!?"
As the two turned to Ford, he continued. "Bill Cipher is a demon that would sooner kill you in horrible and disturbing ways. He has already turned this town into a petrified throne of eternal agony, and turned me into a golden back scratcher. Destroying this barrier would release him onto the entire town, cursing us to relive, and possibly be unable to repair, all the trauma and destruction he caused once. Is your one child worth sacrificing this entire town, just for you to have a chance to reason with them?"
Toriel's sobs returned. "I already had to watch my children die, walk to their deaths, and now I am expected to watch my second child die once more." Asgore wrapped her within his arms.
Dipans ignored the scene outside his barrier, as he grabbed the knife that fell from Chara's hand, before he stabbed the demon with it. "How does it feel to be on the receiving end?"
Dipans kicked Chara in the stomach where he stabbed her, breaking the handle off the knife and launching the girl back towards the triangle. Where Bill scoffed at the girl. "Still think you can handle him?"
"Fine!" Chara had tears as she reached out with her good hand to shake Bill's.
Bill started to laugh as his form turned into a mist and swirled around Chara. Starting from her feet, Chara's shoes became mary janes, her socks turning into yellow dress socks. Her shorts also turned yellow with thick black lines forming a brick pattern, before her green sweater became yellow, while her yellow stripes turned red. As the mist finished changing her clothing, it all seeped into her forehead, where a third eye opened, pure yellow with a black slit for a pupil.
Mabel, her habit of giving fusion names that came off as shipping names under the wrong context, spoke up from behind Papyrus. "Bill plus Chara, definitely not Chill, Bira? Bhara?"
Papyrus scratched his chin. "A name combination should share more than just one from the other. Biara?"
Mabel nodded. "Awesome work Papy, I'll make a shipper out of you yet."
Sans chuckled at the two's antics, before he noticed Dipper nearly having a panic attack. Sans might have shifted his attention from having to answer questions about skeletons, but he would be damned if he left the kid like this.
It took a simple point, and Papyrus and Mabel both were comforting him.
Everything halted as Dipans decided to speak up. "Wow, that went smoother than we thought it would."
The guy sounded so relieved after seeing Bill fuse with Chara, the two of them standing there a bit confused. "What?" The third eye on Chara's head glowed golden when they heard Bill's voice.
Dipans shrugged as he chuckled. "Well, I have a delicate plan here, and if you two idiots didn't fuse, I would have had to kill Frisk here to get rid of you. I mean, you also made it easy for me to implant that device to keep Bill trapped within you."
Biara(because we are already using Mabel's suggestion for Dipans) looked down at where they were stabbed, poking it and taking note that yes, there was something still in there, as well as the fact that a barrier kept them from really touching themselves. "What did you do?"
Dipans chuckled. "Well, I broke your knife off inside you, and swapped the piece in there with a device. That device, activated remotely by myself, creates a barrier that Bill can't pass, effectively connecting your souls permanently."
Taking a pause for the expected shouts, Dipans chuckled as he started to speak differently. "Letting Sans control my body completely wasn't easy, there are so many things I want to say to you two after all."
The shift in voice was slightly jarring, but what happened next was moreso. Because Dipans soul was ejected from his own chest, before it was joined by six other souls, each different color, and all looking rather familiar. "Now, I can really make a difference."
As the six human souls began to spin around Dipans' own, everyone was blinded by a white light. When everyone regained their sight, Biara gasped at the monster. Dipans was now around six and a half feet tall, his muscles were more obvious with Sans coat being opened. But the biggest differences were the six large wings that came from his back, each with a different colored heart in the joint, as well as the top half of a Gaster Blaster hovering over his head. "Don't worry, things will start picking up now."
Seraph Dipans raised and snapped his fingers, causing Biara to feel a quake within their soul. "What did you do?"
"I caused a true reset in our own dimension, bringing it all back to the beginning of the summer."
Biara screamed. "What the hell are you talking about you filthy bag of shit!?"
Biara was silenced as her third eye glowed as Bill explained. "Reset, the ability you have, he used it to reset our timeline and have it start over without us. Without our connection to our timeline, we technically don't exist, and therefore cannot age. In the end, all of us within this barrier are now immortal, and can't die, because we are no longer bound within time, space, or even reality. Our powers have opened up to unknown limits, but we have also been nerfed, because we are trapped here within this bubble. A show for the entertainment of this crappy little town, until he gets bored enough to release us."
Dipans chuckled, eight voices echoing each other, until two voices overpowered the six others, and Dipans bent over as he laughed like he hadn't before the demons murdered their siblings.
Everyone was a little creeped out, and if the appearance of the six hearts, that kind of gave the impression of eyes, they were in the same boat as everyone else. "That was a good one Bill. "You think that is all my plan is? I could have chosen any old dimension, even the nightmare realm itself if that were the case. But no, my goal is to kill you, and leave you to fade away like a bad memory."
Biara cringed as something shifted within her stomach. That machine was doing something, as the barrier around them shifted slightly. Something that was not expected, was when the statue that was once Bill flew out of the woods, and slammed right into them.
The statue actually began to break down and sink into Biara's skin, and as they began to glow, three others began to scream in slight pain. Ford, Stan, and Dipper, as the Gruncles were bending over in pain, holding their heads, yellow flakes were pulled from their heads, Dipper curling up in Mabel's and Papyrus' arms screamed as yellow flakes flew from his chest.
As everything flew towards and sunk into Biara's skin, the barrier shimmered in a way to show it being stronger than before. "As long as there isn't a strong enough conscience attached to the 'you' that is within this timeline, I can force you to merge with them and connect you to it, allowing you to die, while I remain immortal. If you two hadn't fused, and I did this, I would have had to make a connection between Chara and Frisk, which would have killed the kid."
That news caused Frisk to cringe and back away, as MK stepped in front of her.
Dipans shrugged. "Well, time to erase a demon and ensure you aren't recreated."
Biara glared as they stood up, ready to fight, only to be kicked into the air, their chin feeling like it broke. A giant frying pan smacked Biara off towards the center of the area, the loud bonk sound didn't entice Mabel's laughter like it normally would.
Biara came to a sudden stop as they slammed face first into a large book, before they had to scramble and avoid several gunshots from a large yellow gun. Their run was stopped short as their legs were kicked from under them by a ballerina shoe big enough to fit an entire leg, dropping them to their face. This had allowed the gun to get a couple hits, leaving three holes in their back, and one in their right leg. Before the giant book slammed down on them.
Biara stood up, screaming as they slashed the book in half with a yellow knife, slashing once more to cut the shoe in half. A quick turn and they were facing the gun, pan, and Dipans. "Talk about a useless trashbag."
Bill spoke through the glowing eye. "Yeah Pinetree, what are you hiding behind those crappy toys for. Too weak to actually fight?"
Dipans snapped his fingers as the soul weapons vanished. "Alright, since we started all this, I guess we can finish it. Time for my special attack."
Biara prepped themselves, waiting for the telltale signs of the Gaster Blasters charging. So prepared, they failed to avoid being slapped in the face with a pink slipper.
Mabel actually snickered at that. "Best special attack ever."
Papyrus stomped his foot as he began to shout. "Sans! How many times must I tell you, a special attack should be much more impressive than a simple slipper or sock!"
Biara took a step forward, about to yell, until they stepped too close to the slipper, and they were met with a wall of spears. Red spears of determination, a lot of them, all stabbing out from the very slipper that Sans had thrown. "Well, I guess you slipped into that one. Dippy's idea actually, by coating my slipper in some magic before I throw it, it becomes a landmine that once you are near, I can release and do some pretty massive damage."
The spears disappeared, the slipper no longer there, as Dipans slipped it back on. Biara could barely stand as they pulled out another L. Hero.
Chara was trying to figure out what the deal with all this was. Other than having some new knife, she was still fighting with the creature Sans had become, and it was starting to eat away at her determination. Dipans chuckled. "Maybe I should have started with a simple attack."
Dipans vanished, his foot appearing right in front of Biara's face as they were knocked into the air. Before their foot was grabbed again, similar to before, the grip being enough to break their ankle. But instead of throwing them, Dipans slammed them into the ground, just as a group of bones and spears stabbed upwards, impaling them repeatedly.
"Move you idiot, this is painful you know!"
Biara was feeling a great deal of pain, more than either had ever felt before. Why was it so hard to fight this damn trashbag? She has killed him at least a hundred times so far. Chara was finally able to think as the spears and bones disappeared. Though the relief was short lived when they were kicked up, before they were kicked again.
Dipans was using the sides of his foot, along with his knee on occasion, just as Bill had done to him. "How does it feel Bill? Maybe I should also show you how being chewed and pulled apart feels, because the experience wasn't the most fun we had together. That goes to when you caused my sister to explode."
Biara was finally caught, but it was by a couple of Gaster Blasters, and their biting was not pleasant. Biara's left arm and right leg were mangled within the jaws of the two skulls, and they were slowly pulling back, lengthening the scars left there.
Chara was tired of screaming her pain. Bill should give up at this point, even as her limbs began to stitch back together, she couldn't get her thoughts together long enough to even form her knife.
"You do realize Chara, that Bill is the only thing keeping you alive, prolonging your suffering. He thought he was gonna fight Sans, with Dipper's muscles that he grafted into him. It was rather unfortunate that you failed to be able to deal with the other human souls."
Chara looked at her foe. "You never made the challenge boring, the ultimate game. I guess I enjoyed it too much, and should have just left it at that rather than explore more. I got greedy, and now I lose this round Sans. But I will be back."
Dipans chuckled. "As soon as we whittle away Bill's hp, you won't ever come back. You will be left as nothing but a memory, and if you do ever come back, I will just erase you again. Simple as that."
Everyone who could hear had just given up, there was no busting through the barrier, and there was no fighting this monster/god. Chara was going to die, and just about every townsfolk within the Falls were happy to see Bill suffer after what he had done.
Biara was launched into the air, before they were impaled on a spear, a bone was keeping the spear from going all the way through, as Dipans grabbed the end, swinging it downward and slamming Biara';s head into the ground, in a gruesome facsimile to a hammer. The spear and bone vanished as Dipans kicked Biara in the back, launching them forward, their back bent at an awkward angle.
Biara's soul turned blue as they began to continuously fly forward, slamming into bones and being sliced by spears, in a gruesome facsimile to Sans' original attack, but this one felt like falling through a blender with added chunks of wood. And there was the blaster mallet to crush some of the chunks.
Papyrus was forced to watch as a version of his brother was completely ripping apart someone, Savagely and cruelly. And it scared him. Turning to his actual brother, Papyrus thought about what would have to happen for his brother to become something like this.
Papyrus returned to holding the twins in his arms, as he reached over and pulled Sans into it. "Please, Sans, promise me you will remain the lazybones you are, and never become like that. That version of you is actually scaring me."
"I promise Papy."
As Dipans continued in his task of a one sided beatdown, Chara became numb to the outside world. Bill was left alone in his suffering, just keeping a corpse moving at this point. Dipans grabbed Biara's soul, as the once deep red heart, now pale red, bleeding a black tar-like blood, liquid gold with the consistency of blood now drooping from the top, mixing with the black tar substance Sans could tell was hatred. This was becoming sad, as the gold blood did its best to hold the entire thing together.
Dipans turned his attention to the dead eyes of Chara, before looking further up to the pale and tired looking eye of Bill Cipher in the center of her forehead. "You murdered everyone, both of you in your respective areas. And now, things can turn out better. Goodbye, Bill. I hope you are a better person next time we meet Chara, because even the worst person can be better, if they only try."
There was a spear that pierced the soul, causing it to shatter, before the body turned to dust.
