Nick sat on the front porch of his house with a cigarette in his mouth and a handgun in his paws. He stared at it with a blank expression on his face contemplating on pulling the trigger.
"Do it Nick. End the horror. If anyone finds out what you did to Skye, then they will all look down on you... especially Judy." His thoughts were louder than his voice.
Nick slowly put the gun up to his head while overlooking the Zootopia city skyline. He closed his eyes one last time ad he put his finger on the trigger. Slowly and steadily squeezing the trigger.
"Judy... I'm sorry" He softly said as tears rolled down his eyes.
As the tension in his finger grew stronger, police sirens interrupted his slumberish thoughts. He opened his eyes to see Wolfard and Fangmeyer pulling up in front of him. They hid behind the car door with both of their paws on the door.
"Wilde. Please put the gun down" Wolfard calmly shouted.
With the gun still in his paws, he slowly pulled it away from his head still gripping the handle. He slowly let his finger off the trigger.
"Nick, we can't come and help you unless you let go of the gun." Fangmeyer calmly said.
Nick only replied with "Is Hopps coming?"
"Wolfard replied with, "She's on her way here. Just please put the gun down Nick. Don't do this to us."
Upon hearing Wolfard's words, Nick can't help but shed a tear.
Judy sped through the city to get to Nicks house with her sirens going off loudly. Cars moved out of the way as she came speeding down the road trying desperately to get to Nick. With all that speeding, she got to nicks house in 5 minutes.
"Wolfard, what's going on with Nick?"
"I don't know. He's been sitting there in that position for a while. We had reports of "domestic violence" and Clawhauser sent us here. He was only asking for you."
Judy looked at Nick with tears beginning to form in her eyes. Nick was slumped over with a burnt cigarette in his mouth and the gun still in his paw. She looked back at Wolfard.
"if anything happens to me, don't shoot him."
"Hopps, Don't Go-"
Judy ignored Wolfard and walked slowly to Nick. She dropped her duty belt behind her. And continued to walk slowly to him.
"Nick? Please... Tell me what's wrong." Nick showed no reaction.
Judy walked up to Nick and she knelt down. She softly put her paw on Nick's face and she turned his head to face her and took the cigarette out of his mouth. Judy choked up upon seeing Nicks lifeless eyes which were not looking back at her. Judy slowly reached for the gun in Nicks hand. Nick still showed no reaction but he let Judy take the gun out of his hand. Judy took the magazine out of the gun and unloaded the chamber. Wolfard and Fangmeyer walked up to both of them. Fangmeyer Picked up Judy's duty belt and Wolfard took Nicks gun away.
"Nick, Please come back to me... I need you" Judy pulled his head closer to her head.
"i...I love you Nick."
Upon hearing those words, Nick began to move his eyes slowly to Judy's face. He then slowly started to move his arms up and wrapped Judy in a tight hug. Tears were dropping out of his eyes like a waterfall
"thank you, carrots."
"Nick i promise, I'm going to help you as much as i can. I won't leave your side, i promise"
Wolfard grabbed his radio off of his vest.
"Dispatch, threat contained, officer Wilde is in need of medical, send an ambulance at 1995 Clawmark Drive."
Clawhauser responded on the other end of the radio.
"10-4, we're sending an ambulance to pick him up"
Clawhauser turned around in his chair to see all of the officers at the ZPD surrounding his desk.
"Is he going to be alright?" Francine asked.
"umm... They're taking him to Zootopia medical center right now."
Chief Bogo Looked down in sadness. With one deep and sad breath he ordered the words, "He's going to be okay, everyone get back to work."
All of the ZPD officers slowly and sadly walked back to what they were doing.
"Clawhauser."
"yes chief"
"Keep me updated on Wilde. I need to know how he's doing."
"yes chief"
"Judy, an ambulance is on the way right now. Are you going to stay with him?"
Judy was still holding Nick tightly while he cried.
"I'll stay with him."
"Okay, I'll let dispatch know. Fangmeyer, take the other cruiser back to the station"
Judy handed the keys to Fangmeyer and they walked away back to their cars.
"Dispatch, Officer Hopps is staying with officer Wilde. I'm bringing back Officer Hopps' cruiser."
"10-4, the ambulance is 2 minutes away"
"copy that."
Fangmeyer and Wolfard drove away. 30 seconds later, the ambulance came to pick Nick up.
"Has he experienced this before ma'am?"
"Not that i know of, No sir"
"Okay Mr. Wilde, can you walk?"
Nick slowly looked up at the paramedics.
"yeah, i can get up." That being said, Nick slowly got up with Judy following close behind him. The paramedics escorted him to the ambulance where they put him on the stretcher. Judy was holding nick's hand all the way to the hospital.
"Hopps, i don't need this..."
"yes you do Nick, we're not giving you a choice."
"who's we?"
"Chief heard about you. He ordered me to go see you."
"So are you acting on orders, Or did you actually intend to see me?"
"Nick, just be quiet. You absolutely know i would if i had heard about it before." After Judy gave her answer, Nick remained quiet for the rest of the trip to the hospital. Meanwhile, Chief Bogo was in his office filling out reports for Judy and Nick. As he was filling out a report for nick, he came across some old documents on Nick that have been blacklisted.
