A/N: This was another one of those story ideas that came with several others over a few days. It involved using the prophecy, Hallows, and the final moments in the fight with Voldemort to develop different ideas. I seem to have the setup once again but lacked inspiration for where to go next. It definitely is not your typical Master of Death story.

CHAPTER ONE
Harry snuck quietly down to the Department of Mysteries. It was the middle of the night and he was hidden from view. He could hide even from the latest technology used in the cameras now adorning the Ministry of Magic levels.
There was a fancy computer called an AI, which stands for Artificial Intelligence, and it controlled all the cameras. Since the magical world had blended more with the non-magical over the past 200 years, magic had not stood still as much as it did in the past.
One wizard was responsible for much of those advancements. That very same wizard was the very one sneaking into the Ministry at night to visit a room that had not changed at all for centuries, other than the cameras placed there.
It was necessary for Harry Potter to expand magic to levels never reached before. Otherwise, he would have been discovered with all this advanced technology. That was one thing he could not afford to let happen.
He had always been famous.
As a child he was known as the Boy Who Lived because he somehow survived being hit with the Killing Curse at the tender age of 15 months. Harry had faced Voldemort many times over the years after that. Then at age 17, as a teenager and for the final time, he completely finished off the powerful dark wizard that killed his parents and tried to kill him.
He had learned a lot since he was a baby, but even with his gained knowledge and skills, he still only beat the dark lord Voldemort with pure luck.
Harry cast Expelliarmus, the Disarming Charm, while Voldemort cast his favorite, Avada Kedavra, otherwise known as the Killing Curse. They both cast at the same time, only the Disarming Charm was a faster spell due to its nature to disarm. Plus, the Killing Curse has to be spoken out loud, making it a fraction slower.
The Disarming Charm did its job and pulled Voldemort's wand from his grasp just as he completed the Killing Curse. This resulted in the wand flipping end over end toward Harry. It just happened to have flipped once when the Killing Curse was cast and hit Voldemort at point blank range, ending his reign of terror and tyranny forever.
That wasn't the end of the story, however. Harry had in his pockets, while he was dueling Voldemort, two of the Deathly Hallows. He had his father's invisibility cloak, known as The Invisibility Cloak, which is unlike any other, and the Resurrection Stone.
Harry automatically reached up with his hand and caught Voldemort's wand as he watched the dark wizard fall over dead. When he grasped it in his fingers, it became obvious the wand was the Elder Wand, otherwise known as the Death Stick or the Wand of Destiny. It was supposed to be the most powerful wand in existence.
It was also the third and last Deathly Hallow. As the story goes, the one who unites all three Deathly Hallows will become the Master of Death.
At that moment, Harry had all three on his person. He never believed in that old story about the Deathly Hallows, even though it was his direct Peverell ancestors who had the items originally.
However, only a few seconds after he was holding the Elder wand, there was a bright flash that surrounded Harry. Everyone in the room saw it because they had watched the duel and saw him win. They went nuts when they realized he killed Voldemort, as they kept their eyes on him in wonder. The place was brimming with celebration and noise. It was very loud in the room, …that is until Harry flashed.
All was quiet now.
Then they all slowly started talking quietly and wondering about him. Harry wasn't sure what they meant when they said he looked different and didn't realize fully until he left to get cleaned up, not to mention getting some heavily needed rest. After all, he hadn't slept in three days.
When he looked in the mirror, he no longer looked 17. He looked to be in his mid-twenties and a bit taller at 6 foot 2 now. The filthy clothes he was wearing somehow adjusted to his new size. How did he age so quickly, and why?
He then remembered the Deathly Hallows and the flash.
When he went to look again at the Deathly Hallows he discovered he could no longer find them on his person. He was certain no one took them so where did they go? His holly wand was still in his pocket but not the Elder Wand, not his cloak, and not the stone.
Harry became afraid that he had lost them somehow, so thought back on the many times he had used the cloak. It was very important and precious to him because it was a Potter heirloom and his dead father handed it down to him. He remembered how it felt as he wore it and how completely invisible he became when he put it on.
However, when he looked in the mirror again, he was completely invisible. With a thought the invisibility vanished.
Starting to catch on, Harry pulled his small shrunken trunk out of his pocket and set it at the end of his Hogwarts four-poster bed. He then pointed his finger at the small trunk and removed the spell to revert it back to normal size. The light of the spell came out of the end of his finger and the trunk grew back to normal.
Next, he thought of speaking to his parents, Sirius, and Remus. They all four appeared around him just like earlier in the forest when he had turned the stone over three times in his hand before facing Voldemort again.
He explained to them what had happened and how he defeated Voldemort for good. He promised Remus again to look after Teddy. He then told them about the Deathly Hallows before letting them go. He was surprised at how much they already knew.
When done, he took his shower and laid down to sleep for a very long time.
It was several years later when he discovered that he was no longer aging. The Deathly Hallows completed his growing, aged him to a good strong age, and healed him completely. He no longer had any scars. Even the dark curses, like the ones on his head and chest from the two Killing Curses he was hit with, were gone.
He didn't have a single scar or blemish on him anywhere.
As Teddy Lupin's godfather, he helped Andromeda raise her grandson while he and Ginny had kids of their own. Ginny knew of his problem but they decided to not tell the kids or anyone else. It would be dangerous for people to find out he was the Master of Death and never aged.
Harry slowly aged himself magically as time went on. No one but Ginny knew he still looked to be in his twenties. The rest of the world saw him aging too so decided the change that took place after he killed Voldemort was just some weird magical phenomenon at the time.
Harry spent his time studying magic and educating himself more and more. He wanted to try and understand better what happened to him. He also wanted to know about the subjects he never took while at Hogwarts and even subjects outside of Hogwarts. Since he defeated Voldemort, he felt a strong desire for knowledge, plus he was now free to explore and learn whatever he wanted to learn.
He eventually educated himself to the point he could have easily passed all the masteries in the various magical areas of study. He didn't bother though with getting his mastery in any of them since it would only draw more attention to him.
However, he never found any additional information about being the Master of Death. He just had to continue to figure it out for himself.
Very few people knew outside the Potter family the knowledge he possessed, but if anyone had a question about any magical subject they could simply ask Harry. He had reached heights in enchanting and spell crafting few had ever seen. The basics, such as Transfiguration, Charms, Defense, Potions, History of Magic, Astronomy, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, and Magical Creatures were just some of the first ones he mastered.
Even his friend, Hermione, could not keep up with his drive to learn as much as he can.
It was very difficult on him when Ginny died at the age 136. He also lost Ron and Hermione a little before that. Even though he looked old, in reality his body was still in the mid-twenties. He had to fake his death after he turned 150 so it would look normal. He didn't want to continue to watch his kids, Teddy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, etc. all grow old and die.
Early on in their marriage, it was decided for Harry to take 200 thousand galleons, convert it to pounds, and invest it in the non-magical stock market. It was to be just in his name with a bank account in his name. They both new, being immortal, that eventually he would have to hide until no one alive knew him. He could then start over. However, he would need money to live on.
Harry invested in gold in the stock market and let it ride. He eventually took some of the nice profits and invested in many of the new technologies. He ended up making an obscene amount of money in the stock market, especially since he had plenty of time.
So, after he faked his death, he left and lived away from his family. He reverted back to his young body and enjoyed life as much as he could with the riches from his investing. He still continued to advance in magic and invent spells that protected him from the ever advancing technology. He made a substantial amount of money just from the patents for the spells.
He setup a shell corporation and foundation that the money went to before he paid himself a salary from the income. That way no one in the magical world could trace it back to him. Sometimes the foundation would sponsor other researchers who were trying to advance magic.
Another 50 years later, while his descendants were doing well with the Potter and Black fortunes, Harry realized that he needed something more. The life he had was not as fulfilling as it once was. He was running out of things to learn and do, especially since he invented spells to allow him to learn things quickly.
He had explored the world over more than once and had learned nearly all the languages on the planet. He had a nifty spell for that. He even learned some dead languages. Latin was helpful with his spell creation.
He had been trained in many things, in fact it was anything that struck his fancy and could keep him focused on something for a time. He was highly trained in several martial arts, along with various weapons. He even had highly developed skills with handguns, rifles, and other non-magical weapons.
He took professional cooking classes, art classes, music classes, etc. exploring as many areas as possible. He even became very proficient on the piano and guitar. Not all of the areas he studied were beneficial but he ended up learning something either way.
But no matter what he did, it was still a burden not being able to die.
How did he know this for sure?
He was attacked and killed from behind with a Killing Curse in Diagon Alley not long after he was married. Unfortunately for the attackers, he woke back up after a few seconds and killed them for their trouble. It was assumed Harry wore special armor under his clothes. Harry did not bother to correct them.
There was another time in a non-magical area many years later when he was shot with a gun in an alley he was going to use to apparate home. He was then robbed by three men. The bullet hit him right in the heart and killed him. They were dividing the money amongst themselves when Harry woke up and broke several of their bones, including their necks.
His training in several martial arts over the years finally got some real use.
He collected his money off the three thugs and left them dead in the alley, magically cleaning up his spilt blood and any other DNA before leaving with a silent apparition.
But why was Harry in the Department of Mysteries deep in the bowels of the Ministry of Magic at 2:00 in the morning?
Simple.
With the Unspeakables working more with technology from the non-magical world, and hiring Muggleborns who were very well-versed in the new technology, they were able to discover some new things about the Veil of Death.
Turns out it's not necessarily a Veil of Death, but more of a portal with various destinations to different planes of existence. The only thing they could not determine for sure was if the person using the portal could actually survive it.
That's because they had discovered that the portal was not functioning correctly which is why they doubted going through it would be survivable. Something happened to it in the past to cause it to be unstable and they had not been able to figure out how to fix it and make it stable.
Eventually a paper was written about it so it went out and the information was made known to a select amount of people in hopes someone could help. A copy was sent to Harry's foundation since it was well-known to produce so many new spells and magical theories. When Harry read it, he was intrigued.
No one wanted to be the test subject and go through the Veil for several reasons. First of all, they were not sure of being able to live through it, second, they weren't sure that even if you lived through it, that you could return to report it, and third, they had no idea where you would be going and how safe that place would be.
Depending on when you enter, you could end up in any of the many destinations the portal cycled through.
None of these concerns applied to Harry, as far as he could reason out. Maybe this was his chance to discover something new? Even if he can't get back, would it be all that bad? Except for what he took with him, he would leave all his money in the non-magical world and the foundation to his Potter descendants, if he did not return in twenty years.
So that's why Harry was determined to go through the Veil. It had been over 200 years since he defeated Voldemort and became immortal. He had learned about all the magic he could find and had invented what he couldn't.
All his friends and family were gone. He really didn't know his descendants that well, which is how it should be because he should have been dead by now. No, it was time to move on to the next great adventure…,
…or at least the closest he can come to it.
Alarms started sounding all over the Department of Mysteries a little after 2:00 a.m. The AI computer sent out alerts to all the appropriate people to get them there to investigate. The only message that was sent with the alert was, "Someone went through the Veil."
There was a flurry of activity as witches and wizards in their strange unspeakable uniforms appeared, casting spells and setting up devices to monitor the Veil. A few people were puzzling over the new readings.
They were able to tell that someone did come through there and go through the veil but that was about it. The person was too well hidden to pick anything else up.
"Show me Veil Room at the time of the intrusion," the lead unspeakable told the computer.
They watched as they could see the entire room with the Veil fluttering slightly as it usually does. Then the camera changed and it was focused on one of the doors leading into the room. It opened and then closed. No one saw anyone enter.
They then saw the camera go wide and show the room again before zooming up closer on the curtain. They saw some quick flashes of different colored light that they weren't sure of so they backed it up and watched it again but at a much slower speed. This time it became obvious that the invisible person was casting spells at the Veil but they could not see a wand. One of the last colors looked like a powerful Reparo spell. Could it be that simple? Then the individual must have turned and a spell went off in the direction of the door the person came through, passing through the wall.
Suddenly the curtain was pushed aside like by a hand and it closed after the person went through. That's when the alarms went off.
They had the computer go back and try all different kinds of technology to try and see the perpetrator, but nothing worked. They even tried infra-red and heat-vision. Nothing. Whoever, he or she was, that person was very good.
"Well, we've been needing a volunteer," the head told his Unspeakables. "I just wish this person would have let us know so we could work together on it. There is now something different about the Veil though. We can only assume it was due to the spells cast by the invisible person. We'll need to keep monitoring it for any other activity. I don't know what else we can do at this point besides hope he or she comes back through with no issues."
They all nodded and went about their duties, setting up additional monitoring, etc. to catch whatever they can and try to figure out what changed.
However, when the head unspeakable went back to his office, he had some new electronic mail waiting on him. The note was from the foundation that had created so many new advanced spells. He opened it quickly to see what they had to say.
Head Unspeakable,
We received your missive concerning the Veil and have sent our oldest and best wizard to conduct an analysis and potentially fix it. He volunteered to test it if he succeeded in fixing it beforehand. Don't worry. He was getting quite bored and wanting a new adventure, even if he wasn't sure he could come back.
If he goes through the Veil then you can be assured he believes he was able to make the necessary adjustments to fix it and make it stable.
We're sorry for the secrecy. Our operatives are highly qualified, but it would be detrimental to their lives and families should they be recognized. We are here to serve the magical people, not draw undue attention to ourselves.
Good luck with your testing!
The note was unsigned and untraceable. No return address was given.
When he shared the information with his team, they were then able to determine properly that the Veil was no longer unstable. People were still hesitant to be test subjects given how much they did not know so it was decided to monitor and wait for the operative to hopefully return, if he can.
After some time, if he did not return, then they would ask for volunteers. It wasn't likely anyone going through next would end up in the same place anyway. The chances were terribly slim given how many places the portal cycled through.
Maybe by that time, they could figure out how to select the destination, they hoped.
Harry landed in a new world. He was looking around trying to see what was different and to see if it was safe to remove his invisibility and his special spells keeping him completely undetectable. He saw some cameras so decided against it.
He had landed laying on his back on what appeared to be a sidewalk in a large city, but when he looked up he saw massive space stations with many ships coming and going. Most of the space stations appeared to be building ships, some of them were massive in size, much bigger than anything Earth could manage.
This place was definitely further ahead than Earth on travelling the galaxy. There had been advances of course, but nothing on this scale. It was mostly just people with the space programs or military that were able to leave Earth for short exploratory journeys.
Here it appeared to be common for everyone to fly around in space ships.
Harry sat up so he could see around better. He didn't see a portal anywhere. That would make it difficult to get back if he can't find one.
Oh well, he wanted an adventure and it looks like he was going to get it.
He stood up and looked around once more just to get his bearings a little better. He had no way of knowing where he was in this city. He didn't even know what the name of this city was, nor did he know the name of this planet.
He was willing to put money down that he was no longer on Earth.
Speaking of money, he wondered what they used here for buying things. Eventually, he would need to do that. He could live and eat in his trunk space forever but he wanted to try and fit in to this new place as soon as possible. He was anxious to explore, experience, and learn new things.
With that in mind. Harry set off in the direction he was facing, for some reason he was getting an indication in his magic that would be the best way to go. He also picked up the pace a little when he felt his magic warn him that people were approaching.
He then saw ten people dressed in matching green robes show up where he landed. They came in one large, open van-like auto that hovered above the street and moved quickly.
As they climbed out of the vehicle, he noticed they all had what looked like metal tubes hanging on their belts.
Confident in his ability to hide in plain sight, Harry continued on his merry way. However, them showing up must mean his entry made a splash of some sort. It was a good thing he came in hidden. Most likely the portal entry could not be hidden, even though he was sure there was no physical manifestation of anything.
He was pretty sure he just appeared out of thin air, much like apparition or a portkey, and since he was well hidden behind his cloak's invisibility and spells then nothing should have been seen. However, could his entry have been felt, like a big magical event or wave?
He had been noticing a stronger concentration of magic in this place, much more concentrated than back on Earth. Perhaps that allowed them to feel the portal depositing him here, much like he felt his magic talking to him a few times. He wondered then if the green-dressed arrivals were some sort of magical equivalent? Perhaps a group in charge of protecting the city or planet?
All across the galaxy many force users, both Jedi and Sith, stopped what they were doing. There was a disturbance in the Force. It was extremely powerful too, like a tear in the very fabric of the Force. Something or someone had suddenly appeared in the galaxy with no indication of where they came from. Something or someone very powerful.
Powerful Force users, such as Yoda, reached out to feel the presence better to get a clearer understanding, but couldn't get in touch with it. It apparently disappeared. The presence was now hidden from their senses. Yoda deduced that the entry of the being into their world was felt but once the being arrived then they used a Force technique to hide themselves immediately.
This left many Force users uneasy, especially the ones that came to the same conclusion. They had no way of knowing if the new arrival was a dark-side or light-side user. Although, the ability to hide yourself in the Force was a known Sith ability.
No one was happy about that. The Jedi were afraid another powerful Sith had joined their field of enemies. They felt they had enough to deal with already. The Sith were wondering if this new arrival was going to interfere with their well-laid plans.
After a few hours of walking around invisible, observing, and using his abilities, he was coming to a better understanding of the new place he found himself in and the galaxy at large. The people he used to gather the information from did not have any shields on their minds so he was able to quickly learn what he needed to learn.
He was sure this extra concentration of magic aided him even more as he cast his spells. They seemed to be even stronger than normal too and that was saying something considering how powerful Harry was. It was a good thing his spell was designed to be silent and give off no feeling or indication it was there.
With his highly skilled Occlumency and a special spell he created to learn languages quickly, Harry pulled the needed information from several people's heads. They never even realized he was doing it. It happened so quickly and they never saw or felt a thing.
He also found other beings on the planet that were not human. They all seemed to speak the same language, however. It was called Galactic Basic. Harry decided to hold off on trying to read any non-human minds for now, just in case they work differently.
He would walk up invisible and undetectable. He would then look into their eyes as he used Legilimency to see if they would make a good sample. Then he would cast his spell. It worked quickly and transferred the information he needed in about a second or two. The new information was placed in a storage section of his mindscape he had created for that purpose and could then be dealt with later much easier.
This prevented headaches and the information getting mixed up in his mindscape as he acquired it quickly. He would then have to go sit down for a while by himself to assimilate all the newly acquired information before he could properly use it. The language he would be able to understand immediately after learning it but speaking it will require a little practice.
Assimilating it in his mind could be done fairly quickly too. He just had to take certain things one at a time. The first one he learned was Galactic Basic. Once he had that down, he went for the general information he picked up.
He was happy to learn that the three samples of data he attained, agreed on the basic information. That was typical since most people don't lie to themselves, especially about basic information.
However, some of the extraneous information, where knowledge differed between samples, he had to decipher through and find what he thought was more reliable. He could always get more samples of that information if he needed to verify or correct what he learned.
He learned that the people in green robes, that showed up where he entered using the portal, were called Green Jedi. From that he learned there were two sects of Force users.
Evidently magic is called the Force here so he decided he had better get accustomed to using that word instead of magic. In fact, the people here seemed to look down on the use of the word magic to describe the Force.
The two sects of Force users are called Jedi and Sith. Jedi are known as the guardians of the galaxy. They have many special abilities that they access via the Force. They are considered light-side users which are headquartered on a planet called Coruscant where the Galactic Senate resides.
The Green Jedi were a slightly separate sect and were only on Corellia.
On the other hand, the Sith are called dark-side users and they are usually hell-bent on being in charge and running everyone's lives. Basically, they enjoy the tyrant lifestyle as long as they are the tyrant. This is typical behavior Harry has seen many times back on Earth.
Voldemort was just one of many dark people who thought they should be in charge. Apparently it's a personality flaw shared by too many people who think they are smarter than everyone else, so everyone should just shut up and listen to them, doing whatever they say with no questions or hesitation.
Most of them find it acceptable that many will have to suffer greatly or even die before the perfect world the tyrant envisioned can come about. Of course, perfect for them is being the only one at the top and in charge. Power, control, and wealth are their driving factors. Interestingly enough, politicians tend to have a large concentration of these people.
Both Jedi and Sith are exceptionally well-trained with weapons they call light sabers. These light sabers typically look like metal tubes they wear on their belts but become swords of light when activated. The blades are made out of a substance akin to plasma and they can cut through nearly anything.
Sorting through all that information he was able to ascertain that he was currently in Coronet City, sometimes called Corellia City because it was the capital, and it was on the planet called Corellia.
