Mystery In The Night

Suzie helped Anne off the ground, "Are you all right?" she asked.

"I'm fine, Suzie, my right shoulder is a bit bruised is all." Anne answered.

"Now I'm just hypothesizing, but it's possible someone placed some sort of medication into the soup to put our sibling in an unconscious state." Tom said.

"You mean someone slipped Alan a mickey?" Flip asked Tom.

Tom looked at Flip, his expression was serious.

"Precisely, Alan's condition does seem to indicate signs of a sleeping pill overdose." Tom answered Flip.

"Oh my gosh!" Alexander exclaimed.

Tom turned his attention to Heirani, "Does anyone in your family possess any sleeping medication?" he asked.

"Come to think of it, my dad does have some insomnia medication... and I did see a few bottles next to the bowl of soup when I picked it up, but I didn't put any in it, I wonder who could've done it?" Heirani answered Tom.

Suzie eyed Alexandra suspiciously, "I might have an idea who." she said.

Suzie turned around to glare at Alexandra furiously.

"And what are you gawkin' at me for?" Alexandra asked Suzie, using a towel to dry the punch off herself.

"All right, Alexandra, why'd you do it?" Suzie asked.

"Do what?" Alexandra asked.

"Don't play dumb with us." Flip said to Alexandra.

"Yeah, we know you put our brother to sleep with some sleeping stuff, so come clean!" Scooter ordered Alexandra.

"You know, you guys got a lot of nerve! Something bad happens and you immediately look at me! You don't look for any proof or anything! You just say it's me," Alexandra said, tears forming in her eyes. "boy, that really hurts."

"Well... she does have a point, we don't have any proof." Josie pointed out.

"Yeah, I guess. Maybe we were a little quick to judge." Anne said, feeling guilty.

"Gee, we're sorry, Alexandra." Melody said.

"Yeah, will you accept our apologies, Sis?" Alexander asked Alexandra.

"Well, I'm not sure, I'll need to think about it." Alexandra answered.

While Alexandra was thinking, Chu Chu noticed something behind her back, tied to her belt.

"What is it, Boy?" Henry asked Chu Chu.

Chu Chu leaped for the item and grabbed it, startling Alexandra.

"Hey, you walking flea circus! Get off of me!" Alexandra called out.

"Chu Chu, you let go of Alexandra right now!" Mimi scolded sharply.

Losing his grip, Chu Chu fell to the ground with a bottle.

"What's that Chu Chu has got?" Nancy asked.

"Wait a minute! That's a bottle of one of my dad's insomnia medications." Heirani said.

"Uh... apology accepted?" Alexandra asked nervously.

"SO, IT WAS YOU!" Anne yelled furiously at Alexandra.

"All right, so I did do it, I was going to use this on my Alan, that way, I'd have an excuse to take him back to the hotel so we could have some alone time... away from Josie." Alexandra confessed.

"Then, why did you put it in our Alan's soup?" Suzie asked Alexandra.

"Duh! I had to test it to see if it worked, didn't I? Geez!" Alexandra exclaimed.

"Why, you..." Anne began.

Anne lunged for Alexandra, but Flip and Tom held her back.

"Calm down, Anne! That won't help Alan." Tom said.

Anne released herself from Tom's grasp, then ran to her sleeping twin brother.

"Hmmm... Futago... no... imōto... hmmm..." Alan sighed in his sleep.

"Alan requires your aid, in somniloquy, he continuously summons you." Tom said to Anne gently.

Anne knelt by her older twin brother's side and sang to him.

Anne: Aloha ʻoe, aloha ʻoe;

E ke onaona noho i ka lipo;

One fond embrace;

A hoʻiaʻeau;

Until we meet again.

Alan sighed as Stanley came up to him and Anne.

Stanley crouched down, "Put Alan on my back, I'll carry him back to our suite." he offered.

Anne and Tom were about to put Alan upon Stanley's back.

When they were suddenly stopped by Flip and Scooter.

"Oh, please, Stanley, you don't have the muscle power to carry Alan." Flip laughed.

"Yeah, Stanley, you're nothing but a bag of skin and bones!" Scooter laughed in agreement with Flip.

Henry walked over to the spot where Stanley, Anne, Alan, Tom, Flip, and Scooter were and reluntantly crouched down.

Anne looked up, "Chōkei?" she asked.

"I'm stronger than Stanley, so I can carry Alan back to the suite," Henry said. "and I think it is also someone else's bedtime."

"Boku?" Anne asked Henry.

"That's right, both you and Alan really pour the Japanese on when you are tired." Henry observed.

Anne and Tom put Alan upon Henry's back, then, Anne quietly followed Henry back to their hotel suite to get some shut eye.
