Servants are infinitely stronger than anything in DxD. And I will not hear any otherwise.

-Vessel of Legends-

[Daybreak Records]

History, a compilation of events that have transpired over the Passage of time which, despite its vital roles in civilizations that contributed to carving the identity of various nations, cultures, and traditions, can hardly be considered perfect. Most of its pages were written through biased lens that purged out the more unsavory details in order to make something, or someone appear more favorable to the eyes of the public, while the rest are either filled with lies and conjuncture or left the holes completely unfilled, leaving many to gain the question of what truly has happened? Just how did historical moments that never did manage to make it into the story of Humanity? How many misinformations have filled in the record? How many of them have faded into obscurity? Which is true and which is false? How many lies have been accepted as the truth? How many facts have been dismissed as myth? That is something a normal question could not possibly have an answer to, for none can truly know what is part of History, what has been erased, and what has been degraded into fiction. Well, none in the Human world at the very least.

Now those that are aware of the supernatural aspect of the Realm, the true nature of the world that is hidden from the eyes of the ordinary masses on the other hand, will come to the realization about the inaccuracy to records that made up the foundation of Human's civilization, in which nearly everything that fall under the category of irregularity that contradicted with the mundane is completely removed from what is considered to be 'Normal', being branded as nothing more than the product of the Human's imagination. Devils, Angels, Magic, Gods, and everything in between these things, what the Supernatural world viewed as a fact of their life, are merely fiction in the eyes of Humanity, being the source of the reason why mankind is completely detached from the state of affairs in the society hidden from their view and only come awake at the nebulous Night, creating a world free of strife and worries.

A state of Peace that a certain Recorder would not allow to be disrupted, no matter what, for it was he that has been there since the dawn of time, since the inception of the concept known as History, since the beginning of creations, it was him that set up this Harmony for his people to lived a life that is devoid of all thing unnatural thanks to his works, his masterpiece, the one thing that cemented his place in the pages of history, no matter how insignificant he may be compared to the actual creation that he left behind, because he was able to rest, knowing he has contributed enough to lay the groundwork for a world that is spared from the abnormality that clearly does not belong a place in this world in the form of his Records that shall establish the individuality of his Country, but when it appeared as though this Delicate Balance he has worked so hard for when he was alive was being threatened, he refused to let such a thing come to pass. Through his sheer tenacity, he was able to slip through the gaps between Realms and ended up finding himself a compatible host, in the form of a lifeless youth, one that is essentially an empty shell without any purpose, perfect for him to fill.

Claiming it for his own, the Vessel of The Daybreak Recorder wasted no time and immediately went to investigate this world he has found himself in, wondering how much has changed since the day he left his mark upon the pages of history, and what he found utterly disgusted him. The Supernatural still persists even now, centuries since his first life, still lurking in the shadow of Mankind like some sort of parasite that fed on the root he has planted, and just as one would feel to see their garden being ravaged by insects after leaving for a while, he was seething with Rage as he disposed of the creature that made the fatal mistake of viewing him as a Prey. Damn, these…Things! They are ruining the Record! His Record! Who do they think they are, to blemish his record like that with their foul scent?! Unforgivable! He will not let this stand! He absolutely will not! He will see to it that everything is corrected and go back to the way he envisioned it!

Knowing what he has to do, the First Recorder went to work, researching further into the supernatural, not because he has any sort of interest in it, oh no, he utterly despised every second of having to read through countless pages regarding the asinine concepts and ideas that is the so-called Paranormal, but in order to get a chance to act out his goal, he needed to do it. Knowing that the reward will be worth all of this trouble he will be going through, the Vessel of the Daybreak Recorder swallowed his pride and grit his teeth as he continued on with his study, no matter how humiliating it is, for he reminded himself, the end with be worthwhile, his record will be restored back to the way it was.

So for the next decades and a half, 'Issei Hyoudou', a boy that is generally regarded by the people in his neighborhood as a reclusive soul who harbored a fascination with the supernatural and all things Occult, when in truth is the exact opposite, persists with his works, trying to figure out how he could dispel the illusion that is riddled all over the world, which his determination was eventually rewarded when he entered his school years at a prestigious Institution known simply as Kuoh Academy, where he discovered the existence of an extracurricular Club known as the Occult Research Club, the member of whom he can tell, positively reeks with Magical Energy, the like of which no other creatures he has encountered thus far could hope to match. It was here that he could finally kickstart his plan, began by joining this circle himself, though it would not be that simple, for that particular community doesn't just accept anyone under the pretext that it is through invitation only, but he knew the truth, these things just don't want anyone to know the secret they are trying to hide, a secret he shows them that he is well aware of through the demonstration of his Power as the most Prominent Recorder in Japan's History, leasing to them instantly changing their mind and offered him a place in their little group without a second wasted. Heh, How simple.

Once he successfully gained a place in the Occult Research Club, he was introduced to its members, who seemed to have their position based on chess pieces, something he couldn't care any less about, not entirely interested in that whole spiel of explanation, but what did capture his undivided attention was when the 'King' of this Club introduced herself as Rias Gremory, the current Heiress of the Gremory clan and the Brother of Sirzech Lucifer, one of the four Satans that ruled over the Underworld where most of the supernatural dwells that she took great pride in proclaiming, which give the Vessel of the Daybreak Recorder an idea on how to proceed with his plan, one that will take times, and no doubt, requires lots of efforts, but it would most certainly pay off in the end, for the sake of his Record, which he initiated by integrating himself with these People, as much as he dislikes the idea, in order to further his goal.

As it turned out, it was much easier than he had initially anticipated. Just about each and every single one of these Occult Research Club's Members has some kind of issues and inner turmoil that plagued them, something he picked up on through the use of carefully selected words, allowing him to be privy to the kind of trouble that tormented them in every waking moment of theirs that deeply scarred their very being, almost enough to make him pitied them. Almost. But at the same time, this provided him with exactly he needed, the opportunity to form a mutual bond with these things, starting off with the Rook of this chess board, Koneko Toujou if his impeccable memories have no fault, whom he, under the pretense of a helpful Senior, offered her a way to help to overcome the doubt of her strength, to Yuuto Kiba with his deep-seated grudge sword Sacred Swords, followed by Aleno Himejima's self-loathing toward her own heritage, then concluded with helping Rias Gremory with abolishing the arranged Marriage her parents have set up for her.

By the time he is done with all those miscellaneous tasks, he has managed to earn the undying trust of just about all of them, and by extension the Gremory Family, allowed him to gain access to Sirzech Lucifer…Who he promptly assassinated when the Satan finally let his guards down, allowing the Vessel of the Daybreak Recorder to claim his life in an instant. By disposing of who is arguably the most important individual when it comes to domestic affairs in the Underworld, it would only be a matter of time before everything falls into disarray and chaos breaks out. Just as he anticipated, less than a week since the death of the Current Lucifer was made public, disaccords were sowed and sprouted, taking roots in the hearts of their society almost instantaneously, enabling countless hidden factions to seize this opportunity to lay waste to the stability of this Realm.

At this Rate, they shall soon destroy themselves. It might take months, years, perhaps even centuries, but he estimated that by the time they are done, nothing shall remain of the Underworld and everything connected to it, and when that happens, he will move on to his next targets. However, just as he was about to retreat from the wasteland that was once a bustling street of the Devil Realm, he was intercepted by Rias and her little Entourage, a variety of emotions on each of their expression. Betrayal, disbelief, Fury, and so on and so forth, as they locked their eyes with the apathetic one of his, "Oh, I thought you were already dead by now. Seems I've severely underestimated your ability to survive like a cockroach that you are." Admittedly, a part of him was glad to see them again, if only because he has a degree of sentiment with them, but that is highly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, he better take care of them before they become a serious hindrance to his future plans.

"Issei…Why?" Just as he was about to raise his hand to unleash his Familiar, Rias stopped him at the last second with a sorrowful question, the tone of her throat sounded like they were racked with despair, dry and husky as they were. If he has to guess, it is probably the result of her mourning her Late Brother before coming here. A shame, she should remain mourning, that way she won't be an obstacle to him, "Why are you doing this? What has my Brother done to you?" Narrowed his eyes at the question, the Vessel of the Daybreak Recorder lowered his hands, somewhat annoyed by the Question. Must she repeat the same thing? He heard her just fine the first time. Well, if she wanted the answer so badly, then he supposed he should obliged, for old times' sake.

"Why? That's fairly simple. I did it because that is who I am. Your Brother is not to blame for this. He's a Good Man. I will even admit that he was a much better person than I will ever be. I killed him merely because his death is instrumental in my grand plan." At such a dismissive attitude toward her question, Rias felt her heart sink, seeing the man she held dear could be so callous to the death of her family like that, making her fall onto her knees in horror, unable to believe what she had heard as Akeno moved to attended after her, while Kiba and Koneko shot at a razor-sharp glare at the Recorder that would have had him dead a million times over had looks could kill.

"No…You are not Issei! The Issei I know would never do something like this!"

"And you are right, 'Issei Hyoudou' as you know him would never have the heart to take the life of others. I am not him."

"Then…Who are you?! And what you have done to Issei?!"

"Hooh? Going for my True name are you? That audacity deserved an answer." Well, it's about time he shows them who he really is under that Mask he has been wearing the entire time. He is tired of having to pretend to be someone else, "My True Name is Hieda-no-Are, I am the One who made Japan the Way it is now." With a mocking bow, the Vessel of the Daybreak Recorder reintroduced himself, feeling liberated at finally being able to be himself in front of those who were foolish enough to regard him as a friend. After all these years, the First Recorder of Japan's rich history can be himself again, "Though I'm sure you would not recognize it, ignorant fools like you swine would not. As for the second question, my Dear Akeno, 'Issei Hyoudou' never existed in the first place. The boy you are so smitten with has ceased to exist so very long ago, before we ever met. The entire time, it was me that all of you were so attached to."

No…No this cannot be…Was the singular thoughts shared by everyone over that revelation, unable to accepted the fact that the kind-hearted and good-natured Young Man who has gone out of his ways to help them was nothing but a facade the entire time, as Rias felt a hot streams of tears pouring down her visage, with Akeno looks as though she wanted to scream out something, anything to reject the truth, that it is just an ill-conceived attempt at humor, while Koneko felt her heart shattered into a million pieces by those word, that the one person she could entrust with her secret was the very same monster that has destroyed everything. As for Kiba, as devastated as he was like the rest of his Peerage, he was able to recognized those name where all other failed to, for he has heard 'Issei Hyoudou' mentioned in passing before.

"Hieda-no-Are…As in…The writer of the Kojiki? But that…That doesn't explain why are you doing this!"

"Ah, so you know of my Record. As expected from you, Isaiah." Hidea snorted, enjoying watching the Knight of Gremory flinch at the name, one he has entrusted to 'Issei Hyoudou', "But for your information, It does explain every single one of my actions up until now. As I've said, I do these things because that is who I am. As the first recorder of Japan, it is my Duty to discern the truth from the lies. Why do you think Humanity believed that the Supernatural is just merely Imagination? Because they are, as far as I know."

"But you have witnessed the supernatural yourself! They are Real!"

"Yes, well, History won't remember it that way, and you know what they say, 'History is written by the winner'." spreading his arms to the side, causing a large gash to form on the surface of each palm, spilling blood everywhere as Miasma began to seep through the gap, "This formed ere the worlde firste took shape," The world is but a book, inscribed by those that lived through it, " This hath no name or motive," To him, this book is his, and its content is for him to decided, "Its Figure Unknowne." As the First Recorder of all Creations, he is the one to choose what is real and what is not, "All of creation dwelleth within the Compasse of my Recollection!" And to him, the supernatural has no place in his Reality.

"PUPPET PLAYGROUND!"

Obeying his will, the world changed to suit his vision, a world with no lies and illusion, a world where only his definition of truth remains, one that robbed the Gremory's Peerage of their Essence, everything made them themselves because, in this world, the supernatural is merely something spun out by the Human's Mind, something that does not belong in the Human World. For as far as he knows, The Supernatural doesn't exist. But when even they are stripped of nearly everything, one things still remains, their renewed desire to save what left that could be save from this Monster.

"…And I do not intend to Lose. Come! Defender of mankind's Falsehood! Face me if you wanted your 'truth' to remain in this world!"

The First Antagonist Issei of this Series. How do you guys feel about him? Hieda-no-Are has what in my opinion the most fascinating personality in the Fate/Samurai Remnant Cast, what with his sense of entitlement over what is facts and what is fictions.

Now some of you might be upset that Sirzech dies so easily. considered that he is one of the most powerful Character in the DxD-Verse, if not THE strongest, but if there is anything I have learned from Fate, is that even the strongest can die under the Right circumstances. Like how Souichirou managed to kills Medusa thanks to a combination of a surprise attack and enhancement Magecraft.

To the question made by DrKiller and Mr Good, Yes, I do planned to have some Fate/Strange Fake servants appeared down the line. :)

And yes, female servants will be included as well. I even have plans for him to be the Pseudo Servants of a certain Primodial Mother down the line. ;)
