Professor Magnolia's House
The boys soon arrive at a small, two-story, house with a purple roof. There they see Hop looking at Leon, who was talking to an elderly woman, wearing a lab coat over a yellow dress and white shoes.
"Hey, Hop!" said Stan, making Hop turn to look at them.
"Hi, everyone." said Hop.
"What's going on?" asked Stan.
"My brother's talking to Professor Magnolia." said Hop.
"So that's Professor Magnolia?" asked Kyle.
"She sure is." said Hop. "Not only the leading Pokemon researcher here in Galar; she's also researching the Dynamax phenomenon."
"You think she can help us do the Dynamax thing with our Pokemon?" asked Kenny.
"That's the main reason I came here, but she seems to be busy talking to my brother about something." said Hop.
"Well, let's go over to them and wait." said Stan. The five walk over to where Leon and Professor Magnolia were.
"So have you all unraveled all the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon yet?" Leon asked Professor Magnolia.
"Oh goodness, no. The whole thing is still full of questions." said Professor Magnolia. "I'd hoped that my granddaughter would take over my research, but..." She stops when she sees Stan and his friends approaching. Leon looks over at them as well.
"Hi, everyone." said Leon. "How is your Pokemon training going?"
"So far, so good." said Stan.
"That's good to hear." said Leon.
"Who are these children, Leon?" asked Professor Magnolia.
"That one is my little brother, Hop; and those four are boys who moved here to Galar over a month ago." explained Leon.
"I'm Kyle Broflovski, ma'am." said Kyle.
"I'm Eric Cartman." said Cartman.
"I'm Kenny McCormick." said Kenny.
"And I'm Stan Marsh." said Stan.
"Are you Sharon's son?" Professor Magnolia asked Stan.
"Yeah, how did you know?" asked Stan.
"She talks about you sometimes when she stops by for tea." explained Professor Magnolia. "So what brings you all here?"
"We came to see if you can help us be able to Dynamax our Pokemon." said Kyle.
"I am able to make Dynamax Bands." said Professor Magnolia.
"Dynamax Bands?" replied Stan.
"These." said Leon as he holds out an arm that had a white wristband on it. "This device gives trainers the ability to Dynamax Pokemon."
"Sweet!" said Cartman.
"Can we have some?" asked Kyle.
"I have enough material to make them, but I need Wishing Stars in order to power them." said Professor Magnolia.
"Where can we find some?" asked Kenny.
"They'll only appear to those who have a true wish in their hearts." said Professor Magnolia. The boys look at each other.
"What do we do? Try making a wish?" asked Kyle.
"It's worth a shot. What do we have to lose?" asked Stan. The boys close their eyes and make wishes.
'I wish my dad never gets out of prison.' Stan says to himself.
'I wish my little brother grows up to be a better person than Dad.' Kyle says to himself.
'I wish I was the coolest Pokemon trainer ever!' Cartman says to himself.
'I wish my sister will always be safe and happy.' Kenny says to himself.
'I wish to be a stronger trainer than my brother.' Hop says to himself. Kyle looks up to see a streak of light in the sky.
"Dude, what's that?!" asked Kyle. The other look up to see the streak of light fall from the sky and hit the ground near a lake. The boys run to the small crater the light made; they look inside to see five purple rocks with an orange glow in them. The boys carefully reach into the crater and each pulled one out of it.
"What are these?" asked Kenny, looking at his rock.
"These are Wishing Stars!" replied Hop.
"Really?!" replied Stan. Professor Magnolia and Leon walk over and look at the Wishing Stars the boys had in their hands.
"Those are indeed Wishing Stars." said Professor Magnolia. "It's amazing that five of them just fell closeby."
"Yeah, we all made wishes before it happened." said Kyle.
"That would explain it." said Professor Magnolia. "If you would be so kind as to hand them to me, I'll start making Dynamax Bands for all of you."
"Wow, cool!" said Cartman. He and the others handed Professor Magnolia their Wishing Stars.
"It will take approximately a couple hours to make the Dynamax Bands." said Professor Magnolia. She turns and walks to her house.
"A couple hours?! What the hell are we going to do in the meantime?!" asked Cartman. Kyle looks at the lake and a look of realization appeared on his face. He reaches into his backpack and pulls out a telescoping fishing rod out of it.
"What's with the fishing pole, Kyle?" asked Kenny.
"Some trainers use fishing rods to catch water Pokemon." replied Kyle.
"Oh, yeah." said Kenny. Kyle walks to the lake and casts the fishing line into it. Kyle stood there and waited for several seconds when something began tugging the line.
"I caught something!" exclaimed Kyle.
"Herpes?" asked Cartman.
"Shut up, fatass!" replied Kyle. He pulls the line out of the lake; on the other end of it was a brown and tan, fishlike Pokemon. Kyle pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Arrokuda, the Rush Pokemon. If it sees any movement around it, this Pokémon charges for it straightaway, leading with its sharply pointed jaw. It's very proud of that jaw." said Kyle's Rotom Phone.
"This one's mine." said Kyle, pulling a pokeball out of his belt. "Grookey, go!" He tosses Grookey's pokeball and releases him. Arrokuda becomes surrounded by water and flies straight at Grookey, ramming it, but not doing much damage. "Dude, I think that was Aqua Jet! Okay, Grookey, Branch Poke!" Grookey leaps at Arrokuda and hits it with his stick, dealing super effective damage to it. Arrokuda jumps at Grookey and jabs him with its snout, dealing super effective damage. "Okay, Grookey, Razor Leaf!" Grookey swings his head, releasing two green leaves from the leaves on his head and they hit Arrokuda, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it to the water. As it floats on the water, struggling to swim away, Kyle pulls an empty pokeball from his belt and throws it at Arrokuda, hitting it and sucking it in; it lands on the ground near the lake and begins wiggling; a few seconds later, it clicks. Kyle picks up Arrokuda's pokeball. "Dude! I caught an Arrokuda!"
"Way to go, Kyle." said Stan. Kyle takes out his Rotom Phone to learn more about his new Arrokuda.
"Okay; my Arrokuda's a girl, she knows Peck, Aqua Jet, and Fury Attack, and she has the Swift Swim ability, which doubles her speed on rainy days." said Kyle.
"Let's keep fishing." said Stan.
"I'm gonna train my new Arrokuda for a while." said Kyle. He then goes off to do so while the rest of the boys cast their lines into the water to find more Pokemon. As Kenny waits patiently, he gets a bite on his line. He quickly pulls it out of the water and sees a red, fishlike Pokemon at the end of it.
"What's that?" asked Stan. Kenny takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Magikarp, the Fish Pokemon. It is virtually worthless in terms of both power and speed. It is the most weak and pathetic Pokémon in the world." said Kenny's Rotom Phone.
"Ha, ha! You caught a lame Pokemon!" said Cartman. Kenny looked at the Magikarp and sees that what Cartman said hurt its feelings.
"Shut up, Cartman!" said Kenny. He then kneels down to the Magikarp and rubs its head. "Don't let fatboy there get to you." Magikarp looked surprised by Kenny's actions.
"What are you gonna do with it?" asked Stan. Kenny takes out an empty pokeball from his backpack and holds it out to the Magikarp.
"You wanna join my team?" asked Kenny. Magikarp smiles and flops around all excited. It then flops to the pokeball and hits it with its tail, enlarging it; then another time making it suck Magikarp in. The pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You caught a new Pokemon, Kenny." said Stan.
"Too bad it's such a lame one." said Cartman.
"Obviously you forgot what Magikarps evolve into." said Kenny.
"Whatever, dude." said Cartman. Kenny looks up his new Magikarp on his Rotom Phone.
"This says my Magikarp's a dude, he knows Splash right now, and he has the Swift Swim ability like Kyle's Arrokuda. The boys spent their time either fishing, or training up their new Pokemon.
Kenny trained up Magikarp by having him out at the start of a battle for more experience, then sending out another one of his Pokemon to finish it. As a result, not only did Magikarp get a bit stronger, his Seedot learned Astonish and Growth, and his Nickit learned Beat Up and Hone Claws.
Sometime later, the boys hear the door to Professor Magnolia's house open; making them turn to see her walking towards them with four Dynamax Bands in her hands.
"Here you are, boys." said Professor Magnolia as she hands each of the boys a Dynamax Band.
"Sweet!" said Stan as he slips on his Dynamax Band. Hop comes running over to them.
"This is so awesome!" said Hop as he shows the boys his Dynamax Band. "Now we can Dynamax our Pokemon!" After Professor Magnolia explains to them how to use their Dynamax Bands, the boys discuss what they're going to do now.
"So are we gonna go for the Galar League?" asked Kenny.
"Yeah, dude." said Kyle. Leon overhears them and decides to tell the boys about how to qualify.
"To participate in the Galar League, you'll need to do the Gym Challenge." said Leon.
"What's that?" asked Stan.
"It's when trainers travel all around Galar and challenge all the Pokemon Gym Leaders to battle in order to earn the eight gym badges needed to qualify." said Leon.
"That sounds fun!" said Stan.
"In order to do the Gym Challenge, you'll need an Endorsement." said Hop.
"What the hell is that?" asked Cartman.
"A letter of recommendation from a company or a business." replied Hop. Stan looks at his friends.
"So, what now?" asked Stan.
"Let's ask our moms if they can help." suggested Kyle.
"Yeah, maybe they can talk to their bosses about endorsing us." said Kenny.
"Well, let's go." said Cartman as he and the others start heading back to Wedgehurst.
