After the plan was made, the group soon set out to Rito Village in order to protect it from the fiendish blizzard walloping it.
"So not everyone in Ginhana Sky goes on these outings?" Aelita asked.
"No. Official teams have to leave at least one member behind to take care of operations. So we sent out a number of teams and the five of us handle the main stuff while anyone else stays in Paradise." Totodile said.
"If we break that rule, the team gets disbanded by the official organization." Oshawott said.
"Oof.. talk about strict." Aile remarked.
"You know, looking at you guys reminded us of our mission in Hisui." Zi-O mentioned while looking at Ginhana Sky. "Take a wild guess what was there."
"Arceus along with Pokémon you didn't think existed today?" Jexi asked.
"And?" Geiz asked again.
"Uh…let's see….oh! Talking Pokémon?" Oshawott asked.
"No." Hibiki sweatdropped. "But I did get a Riolu before evolving it to a Lucario. I named him Luca."
"Right, right… Of course." David said, looking to Revali. "You doing okay there, Revali? You look a little on edge."
"It's perfectly sensible for me to be. Rito Village is my home, and Ganondorf is likely the culprit of the blizzard threatening it."
"Not to mention, Teba and Tulin are struggling in there. We have to check and see if they're okay." Vera said.
"Don't worry, Revali. We'll quell this blizzard. Count on it." David said.
"I think we're almost there, I see the village up ahead." Laura said, looking at said village.
"Thankfully, Rito Village was the closest location from Lookout Landing, so we didn't have to go very far." Sakura said.
The second they crossed the border into the Tabantha Frontier, they were exposed to the harsh blizzard, which was a gigantic funnel cloud cycling over the Hebra Mountains. Thanks to it, just as it was shown in the Photo shown on Cure Starlight's Zikan phone, every inch of the area around Rito Village and beyond was covered in deep snow.
"There is certainly an evil presence at the source of this blizzard." Laura A. said.
"Yep." Cure Starlight nodded. "We'll go up there, beat up the monster hiding in there, and the blizzard will vanish."
"But first, we'll check on the village. Unfortunately, it looks like the connecting bridges to Rito Village have been put out of commission." Mirror Match said.
"He's right…so we'll have to get creative." Gray said. "Ice Make: Bridge!" he said creating a bridge to the village.
"Thank you for that, Fullbuster." Geiz said before they walked across the ice bridge.
"Why call his last name?" Zi-O asked.
"We've got a reploid named Grey, take a wild guess." Geiz deadpanned.
"...Oh." Zi-O sweatdropped.
Making their way inside Rito Village, the group noticed there weren't many Rito around as there was before. Only a small few Rito were present in the village, mainly younglings.
"Teba should be up near Revali's landing. Let's go see him, figure out what's going on." Hope said.
The group soon made it to the upper levels of Rito village. Once they got there, they soon started to overhear a conversation.
"That's not fair at all! You know I can handle it!" the voice of someone young came as they arrived at Revali's landing. There, they saw the familiar sight of Teba, along with his wife Saki, talking to a gray-feathered teenaged Rito. With the trio were the four man Pokémon team of Altaria, Froslass, Aurorus and Jynx, alongside XDR Members Houki, Amber, Aether and Paimon. "Checking out that huge cloud wouldn't be hard! I could even do it alone!"
Teba had a wing to his head, sighing.
"You can't go out there alone. You'll freeze and come plummeting down." Altaria said.
"Let's wait for the others to arrive. Zi-O sent a message that they'll be arriving soon." Houki said.
"But, if we don't do anything… the village–" the young Rito said before seeing the group arrive.
"Hey. We interrupting something here?" Hope asked.
"Huh? Is that…?" the young Rito asked before flapping over the new arrivals, before his face lit up with a smile. "It is you guys! Link, Revail, and the Hero Alliance!" he said in joy with his wings spread out.
Tulin
Young Rito Warrior
"Hello there. You must be Tulin. It's nice to finally meet you in person. Teba and Revali have told us quite a bit about you." David said.
"David! They told me you and the others went missing. It's good to see you all and Link doing well." Teba said, coming forward.
"Hey there, Teba. Long time no see. I see you've been doing well since you left." David said.
"How's your arm, village elder?" Geiz asked.
"It's doing much better actually." Teba said. "The only trace left is the scar it left behind."
"Wow, that's it?" Scarlet asked. "That's good. Most people who get hit with lightsabers aren't that lucky."
"It is a shame we had to meet up under such bad weather, Sir Teba." Necroapache said.
"It's alright. It's good you're here." Teba said. "I see you've all have finally met my son, Tulin. He was still very young the last time you came here. Since then, he's grown taller, though perhaps not yet grown up."
"Well, maybe I would if you didn't treat me like a hatchling all the time!" Tulin protested.
"He does have potential to be a great archer." Amber said. "Oh, by the way, I'm Amber, Outrider from the Knights of Favonius and a Pyro Vision Bearer. Nice to meet you." She greeted with a knightly gesture.
"I'm Aether, a traveler." Aether greeted before gesturing to the floating familiar. "And this is Paimon, my companion."
"You're not turned into a floating popsicle yet?" Cure Starlight teased.
"Very funny!" Paimon retorted. "Paimon can handle it just fine! …Mostly."
"And who is…?" Ultra started to ask, referring to Houki.
"Houki Shinonono, a pleasure." Houki bowed.
"She's an IS pilot, same as Laura. Though she specializes in a more direct approach." Sakura said.
"Nobody swings a giant katana like she does." Kabara added.
"That was a recent addition to Akatsubaki during the last 6 months." Houki mentioned.
"They, along with the scouting team Ginhana Sky sent here, have been helping us investigate the Blizzard." Teba said. "Tulin wants to fly further in, but despite our protests that it's dangerous, he keeps insisting that he's capable."
"I can see your point. This blizzard looks pretty bad. He would probably freeze up in minutes." David said in concern.
"And he doesn't back down from that? Geez, it's almost like some of us have rubbed off on him." Ragna said.
"Yeah, but I guess it couldn't be helped. He does look up to us, after all." David said.
"As long as he still thinks he can take on the world by himself, he'll always be my little chick." Teba said.
"What, you think I can't? I'm already fully-fledged, you know! You'll change your tune when I ace today's scouting trip!" Tulin said before turning away. "You all can keep wasting your time treating the Song of the Stormwind Ark like it's real, but not me!" he said before flying off.
"Hey, wait!" David said before he goes out of sight. "And…there he goes."
"Unbelievable." Teba said.
"In a way, I kinda understand how he felt." Ajna said.
"Still, Song of the Stormwind Ark? What did he mean?" Esmeralda asked.
"It's a bit of a fable that is passed down in this village." Teba said.
"Long, long ago, when we faced a different sort of upheaval, the village was saved thanks to a great flying ship. Or so claims the song that's been passed down through generations." Saki-2 said.
"It's a song for children, mind you. Few adults still parrot it as if it were true. Still, every now and then, you get reports among the Rito of a Flying ship. Combine that with the blizzard caused by this Upheaval, and it seems less than far-fetched." Teba said. "Even if the Song of the Stormwind Ark is just a children's Rhyme, I suspect there is something lurking high in the sky. But the air is so turbulent now that no Rito can fly close enough to look into it. This is why I say we need to make careful preparations to find the truth, but Tulin… he thinks we cling to that song out of cowardice."
"Yes… The poor boy is getting a bit overzealous. We better go find him." Revali said.
"Any ideas where he might have gone to, Revali?" David asked.
"He appeared to be flying right towards the Hebra Mountains themselves. Perhaps he intends to truly investigate the blizzard on his own." Revali said.
"Got it. Now we really gotta go get him. He won't be able to last against the source on his own." David said.
"Right. Guess we'll be heading out, Teba." Glimmer said.
"Sorry I can't come with you all this time. As the new elder, my duties are to the Rito first." Teba said.
"Laura, Grey, stay here and watch over Rito Village. The rest of us are heading out." Zi-O said.
"Ja./Got it." Laura B. and Grey nodded.
"Cocytus…you are to ensure the village's protection as well." Ainz said.
"Understood, my lord." Cocytus said.
"I feel safer already. I know for myself just how strong you are, having seen you close up." Teba said.
"You honor me, Master Teba. It is an honor to serve as your guard." Cocytus said on one knee with an arm to his chest.
"Heh. Guess Cocytus is starting to take a shine to you." David said.
"You know I have you to thank for that." Teba said with a chuckle. "Now, go find Tulin and see what you can do to keep him out of trouble."
The group start to navigate the mountains before they eventually spot Tulin.
"Stupid monster!" Tulin called before noticing the group. "Wha- guys? Where did you all come from?!"
"A question for later. What happened?" David asked.
"Oh, uh, you see… That rotten monster took my good bow." Tulin said as everyone saw a strange yellow bat-like monster flying by with a bow in its claws. "See? That's the bow-napper!"
"Is that all? Don't worry. We'll get it back for you." Revali said.
"Really? Thanks, Master Revali!" Tulin said.
"What sort of monster is that?" Natyal asked.
"It's an Aerocuda. They're flying monsters that are a little tricky to hit." Rista said.
"Revali, when I hit this thing, that's when you swoop in and catch the bow." David said. "Ready? Here we go!" he said as he notched an arrow to his bow before he fires as it hit the Aerocuda. "Now!"
Revali takes flight as he catches Tulin's bow in his talons. "I've got it! I'm heading back over now."
"Wow! Just like dad told me!" Tulin said, as Revali handed the younger Rito his bow. "Thanks. Without you, my bow might've been lost for good!"
"Not a problem. But what made you fly all the way out here on your own, anyway?" David asked.
"Well, I was heading to where the blizzard was the strongest, since that has to be where the source is." Tulin said. "But then that Aerocuda rammed into me and stole my bow. I think this might be a base for monsters."
"So where are the monsters?" Emo asked, before a screech caught the groups attention, as several more Aerocuda flew towards them, depositing several Bokoblins.
"Does that answer your question?!" Paimon exclaimed.
"You're up, Aether!" Zi-O said.
"Right!" Aether complied, summoning his sword and unleashed a powerful upward tornado with one swing which sent the Bokoblins and the Aerocuda flying inside.
"Fish in a barrel!" Legolia said as she drew some arrows and shot some of the Bokoblins and Areocuda flying inside.
"I got the rest!" Tulin said, drawing his bow and shooting the rest of them down. He was skillfully able to hold his bow in both of his talons and string and shoot arrows with his beak, all while keeping himself aloft with his wings.
"Here I come!" Laura A. said, warping towards a Bokoblin before bombarding it with a powerful flurry of kicks and spins.
Heavenly Punishment
It wasn't long before all the monsters were defeated, and the area was cleared.
"We did it!" Tulin said.
"Very impressive skill with the bow." Zebei complimented.
"You guys are pretty good archers." Amber added.
"Can't believe there are even monsters this close to the peaks of the mountains." Hope said.
"Yeah. Definitely one of their hideouts nearby." Tulin said. Suddenly just then, a sort of glow rang in the ears of David, Revali, Tulin and Link. "Hmm? Was that the wind?" Tulin asked as it died down. "It couldn't have been! There's no way. Must've been something else!"
"We'll settle that later. Firstly Tulin, I believe we must have a talk about your reckless behavior." Revali said.
"Reckless? How? I was only trying to help our village." Tulin said.
"And we're not saying there's anything wrong with that. But you know that there are some things you can't take on by yourself." David said.
"Yeah, you're right. This is a bit embarrassing…" Tulin said. "I… didn't listen when everyone tried to stop me in the village. I thought I could handle it. But I just ended up losing my favorite bow to those stupid things. I thought I was fully-fledged, but there's probably no way I could've gotten it back on my own."
"Listen, Tulin. What you're going through, a lot of us here have been there. Me and Revali here probably more than anyone." David said. "And most of the time we could back up our talk, but others where we get swamped… We had to get others to bail us out."
"That's kinda surprising. From the stories that Dad told, you guys could handle pretty much everything." Tulin said.
"Even the best of us have off days, dear Tulin. That is why there is no shame in asking for help every once in a while. It was a lesson I had to learn the hard way, unfortunately." Revali said. "And I'm sure you've learned that lesson in the battle just now."
"Yeah. Everyone was right– it really is important to work as a flock." Tulin said. "I think I finally get what Dad has been trying to tell me all this time."
"But Tulin, how did you lose your bow in the first place? The way you were slinging your arrows, I doubt any monster could've taken from you that easy." Bow said.
"Oh, yeah, funny story about that! There was this whole thing with Princess Zelda. I spotted her getting attacked by a monster. It was such a surprise that I dropped my guard and it stole my bow. But I guess she was fine, because then she zoomed up above that cloud." Tulin explained.
"That is very strange." Klonoa said.
"We need to find a way into that cloud. Perhaps from above?" Homura asked.
"Wait, hold on a second, didn't Dad say it's too dangerous to investigate the cloud?" Tulin asked.
"Whatever's inside is causing this blizzard, we can't just leave it alone." Noel said.
"I would have to agree with Noel. Albeit, it is a bit risky." Revali said.
"Yes, the strong wind currents from the sides are too risky to enter from, so we'll enter from the top as Homura suggested." Baril said.
"You really wanna go for it? Even if dad said no to me?" Tulin asked.
"Tulin, after all the adventures he's had with us, your father knows one absolute thing about us. Nothing can stop us once we set our minds to something." Ichiro said. "Besides, since his departure, he's told us about your potential."
"There ain't no Rito with the guts to fly all the way up that funnel and go straight in from the top. Well, except for one. That's you, kid." DW typed. "Teba's been talking his ass off about how you've been perfecting your ability to generate gusts, just like Revali."
"You know what he told us in one of his letters? 'Tulin will be the finest Rito warrior of all once he understands the value of working with his allies.'." Kaito said.
"Dad said that?" Tulin asked.
"Yes. He has been rather impressed with your progress and your training." David said.
"So then Tulin, you ready to have your first adventure with us?" Ethox asked.
"This is the real deal, so you're playing with the big boys now. Up for it?" Nemo asked.
"No problem. We've all got this together!" the young Rito warrior assured. "I saw Princess Zelda on the sky islands near Hebra Peak. Let's check there first."
The group headed over to the sky islands which were composed of floating ruins. They made their way across and up the floating ruins before reaching where Tulin last saw Zelda.
"It was around here that I saw Princess Zelda. But now…I don't know where she could have gone." Tulin said before spotting something. "Hm? What IS that?" he asked as the group saw what appeared to be a boat.
"Wait a minute, flying boats aren't normal in Hyrule." Ethox said. "How did this get all the way up here?"
"Maybe it's some sort of Zonai thing?" Kazuma suggested.
"I doubt it. It's not emitting that green hue." Al said.
"Come… Come…to me…"
"Eeep!" Paimon squeaked, hiding behind Aether. "What was that?!"
"That was a voice." David said.
"Whose voice was that? Was it coming from somewhere up there?" Tulin asked as the group looked up at the cloud and caught glimpses of a large boat inside of it through the crashes of lighting. "Whoooa… Do you guys see that thing inside the cloud? Is that another boat? But it's huge! There's tons of those little flying boats too. You know what it reminds me of?"
"The Song of the Stormwind Ark?" Kendo guessed.
"Yeah, exactly! Was that children's song true after all?!" Tulin asked.
"Yeah, you bet it is. I had a feeling there was some truth in there." David said. "Ain't that right, Revali? You knew too, didn't you?"
"Indeed David. There truly is something being obscured in that funnel. And whatever is in there, has to be connected to the source of the blizzard ravaging the region." Revali said.
"Guess we gotta go in there and do what we do best." David said.
"Get inside the cloud, find the source of the blizzard, and kick some tailfeathers?" Tulin guessed.
"Like you read my mind." David chuckled.
"Eheh… Dad told me way too much about your usual methods of doing things." Tulin chuckled.
"Well, whatever he said, he wasn't lying." David said.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go storm chasing!" Flamberge said.
The group made their way up using the sails of the boats as bouncing platforms which launched them high into the air, allowing them to enter the cloud from above and land onto the large vessel inside.
"This ship is huge! It looks more like a flying temple than a regular ship to me." Kaibara said.
"I think…it might be." Robin said. "Do any of you happen to know the myth involving the Six Sages?"
"Of course." Lana said. "Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Spirit, and Time. Six individuals from across all the races of Hyrule were given incredible power, and named Sages. Oh…so this temple…"
"There was no way Rauru could have faced Ganondorf alone so he had a force of his own." Twilight said.
"So if Rauru assembled his own fighting force of Sages, each one had to correspond to those six elements, and had temples based around them. So this must be the Wind Temple." Koala said.
"The elemental temples, huh…" Aether mused with his hand on his chin.
"Kinda fitting that we're starting with the Anemo element, just like how Aether got it as his first power after he touched the Statue of the Seven." Paimon said. "Anemo is the Wind element, by the way."
"Aang too as he started as an Airbender." Cure Starlight mentioned.
"Heh… Aang. Brings back memories…" Hope reminisced.
"Huh? You knew Aang?" Paimon asked.
"Know him? He was on my team back in the day. Him, Katara, Sokka, Toph… heck, even Korra was with me after Aang passed the mantle." Hope said.
"Ah…those early days…good times." Gemini said.
"You know… Aether and his twin sister Lumine are also on a journey to obtain the seven elements in Teyvat in order to regain their original powers." Geiz mentioned. "An Unknown God separated the twins and took away their powers."
"And she happens to look like me for some reason." Kiana added. "And according to the twins, that God was nothing to scoff at, defeating them easily. Oh, and don't worry about the twins, they're reunited thanks to us."
"If you're looking for my sister, I think she's at Death Mountain checking on the situation with the Gorons." Aether said.
"Interesting. You'll have to tell us more about that later. First and foremost though, we should find out how to stop this blizzard." Mirror Match said.
Link headed over to a circular panel and put his right arm to it, activating a Travel Gate for them to use. This also caused five separate gears to descend down. Only one of them turned once matching up with another spinning gear, the rest of them were jammed, keeping the hatch where a strong wind was coming from closed tight.
"Looks like that is the gimmick here. We need to free the other gears." Theo said.
"How are we supposed to do that though?" Tulin asked before they heard the noise again. "That sound, there it is again!"
"Brave fledgeling…Use your power to release all five locks and the hatch should open. Heed my words…"
"It was calling out loud and clear! That hatch is obviously where the source of the blizzard is! We're so close! C'mon, let's go figure out how to undo those locks!" Tulin said.
"Hmm…Wind is gonna be needed here. I think if we find the right places and blast them with wind, we can free the hatches and gears." Rimuru said.
"Considering this is an airship in a way, they'll likely be in the shape of wind turbines." Dhar said.
"Well let's get to it then!" Klonoa said.
The group navigated across the temple as they activated the five wind turbines scattered across the ship, releasing all five locks with Tulin, Klonoa, Aether, Yuri, Revali, and Filo's use of their wind abilities.
"That's it, guys! We've unlocked them all! We should be able to open up the hatch on the deck now. Come on! Let's go!" Tulin said.
"So, is anyone willing to bet that what's waiting to jump out at us from the hatch is a giant monster?" Nemo asked.
"Of course there's gonna be a giant monster at the end of the dungeon, it's classic Zelda." DJ said. "The question is what kind of monster it's going to be."
"My money is on…I don't know, some sort of serpent. It's par for the course for this world." Ultra said.
"Well, I'm going with a giant ice phoenix, or something." Nemo said. "Y'know, Ganondorf deciding to mix things up a bit."
"Five gets you ten for the right guess?" the Ultra Beast trainer challenged.
"You're on!" Nemo said.
"Guess we're about to find out." Revali said.
The group returned to where the shutter was as Link touched the glyph once again, causing the gears to sink back in and the shutter to glow as it opened. Tulin looked down before a strong gust sent everyone flying into the sky.
"Here it comes! Revali, Tulin. You two ready?" David asked.
"You need not ask us if we are ready, David!" Revali said..
"OK! Let's go!" Tulin said as they dived down for a closer look.
Flying out of the shutter was a large six eyed centipede-esque demonic monster. Its whole body was covered in ice, and segmented into three large spherical sections, the tops of each covered by spiky armor, only vulnerable from the bottom as they were covered by ice. After rising out from the hatch of the ship, it then gave a threatening roar.
Scourge of the Wind Temple
COLGERA
"An icey version of Scolopendra. Not something you see everyday." Simon said as he was masqueraded with Malphas.
"Hmm…a centipede." Ultra said to Nemo. "Neither of us won the bet. Shame."
"Hey, guys. Let us handle this. It won't take all of us to take this thing down." David said.
"Let me in on this too." Esmeralda said.
"Good luck, all of you." Cheetah said as the foursome of David, Revali, Tulin and Esmeralda prepared for battle.
Colgera flew around the entire clued as the winds picked up, keeping everyone in the air.
"This wind is so strong! Don't get blown away, guys!" Tulin said.
"Don't worry. We have it covered." Revali said.
"David, Revali, Esmerelda! It's armor is too strong to attack it from the top! Get under it and shoot its weak spots from there!" Entrapta said. "You'll have to find some way to break the ice protecting its weak points first though!"
"Legolia, can you make them any Fire Arrows if you have the materials?" Ethox asked.
"Well, I would, except for the fact that we're over a hundred feet in the air!" Legolia pointed out.
"I also create Pyro arrows thanks to my Vision." Amber added.
"It would not have mattered anyway. After the Great Calamity passed, we ran out of Special Arrows to use." Revali said. "That's just fine, though. We won't be needing them. When it starts to attack with icicles, that's when we charge in. We can fire arrows from afar, while Esmeralda can fire ice blasts at it."
"Wouldn't firing ice at it make it stronger, though?" David asked.
"No worries, we can just strike it directly once its weak point is exposed." Esmeralda said.
"Sounds like a plan! I'll help too!" Tulin said.
"Come on, then. Take the bait, fish." David said at the creature.
Colgera flew around below them. Noticing that they weren't coming closer, its monstrous instincts dictated it to attack from afar. It then fired off its spikes from its middle section towards the foursome, one at a time, slowly exposing the ice that was protecting the frail weak spot.
"Its weak point is exposed! Strike, now!" Esmeralda said. "Allow me to break through the ice." she said as she started rocketing towards the ice protecting the weak point like a missile. She quickly made direct contact and shattered the protective ice, exposing the weak spot in the center, which conveniently was shaped like a snowflake. "David, Revali! Use your long range weapons and hit its weak spot!"
"On it!" David said as he and Revali each fired an arrow at it.
The weak spot shattered from the arrows, Colgera screeching as it created a sort of wormhole and passed through it, vanishing.
"What? Where'd it go?" Tulin wondered, before he noticed something: another wormhole, exactly like the first, opening under the quartet. "Below us!"
The four quickly got out of the way as the scourge came rushing up at them. This strategy was flawed, however, as it left its other weak spots wide open.
"Let's go, Tulin!" Revali said.
"I'll get its lower part, you get the top, Master Revali!" Tulin said, diving below.
"I'm on it." Revali said.
Both Rito warriors went to Colgera's top and bottom segments and prepared to fire at each.
"We're all set! Esmerelda!" Tulin called.
"Right!" Esmerelda said as she blasted ice at both parts, causing them to shatter and allowing the two Rito to destroy the weak spots with each of their arrows.
Colgera, roaring in a mixture of pain and rage, created another wormhole and escaped through it for a moment. Once it reappeared, it had somehow managed to regrow its weak spots back. But that wasn't all, as the centipede-like monster then summoned a miniature tornado that was aimed at its attackers.
"Looks like we're at the final stretch. One more good hit should do it!" David said.
"We have to stay clear of those tornadoes, though! Be careful!" Tulin said.
"Exercise caution while navigating!" Revali said.
Colgera flew around the air, summoning groups of tornadoes at every turn it could get, trying to keep the three warriors attacking it from its weak spots.
"This will take some expert flying…!" Revali said, weaving around the tornadoes and flying over the first weak spot close to Colgeras head. It shot its spikes to try and hit the Champion, but he evaded them. Esmerelda then came to his assistance to shatter the ice protecting Colgera's weak spot, allowing Revali to destroy it.
"Nice one, Master Revali!" Tulin said.
"David, Tulin, now it's your turn!" Revali called.
"On it. Get ready, Tulin!" David said as he prepared an arrow from his bow.
"I'm ready, David!" Tulin said, preparing his shot as well.
Colgera then disappeared into another wormhole, before reappearing again from below and charging right at them.
"Too slow!" Tulin said as he and David evaded. Esmerelda then blasted both weak spots and exposed them.
"Now's your chance, you two! Finish it!" Esmerelda said.
"This is the end!" David said as he and Tulin each fired their arrows.
Both of the arrows hit Colgera dead on, shattering them both at the same time. The giant monster roared in pain, flying upwards into the air. As Malice started pouring out from every inch of its body, it flew up for a moment before it stopped moving as its body slowly descended before streaks of red light poured out as it soon exploded. The cloud soon dispersed as sunlight returned to the mountains and a nearby glacier soon melted, revealing a very familiar stone.
"That looks like the same stone we saw drop from Rauru's arm." Rebecca said.
"Why does it look like a magatama?" Houki observed.
"That….is a sacred stone." a voice called out as the group looked to the ghostly visage of a Rito warrior wearing a mask. "Tulin…my brave fledgling…"
"Wait…so it was your voice?" Wendy asked.
"Indeed. I am his ancestor from a time long ago. I served under the first king and had control over wind." the figure said. "Where you fight, the winds follow. I would expect nothing less. I am proud. As you all no doubt suspected, that monster that called the blizzard…was summoned by the Demon King."
"And it wasn't just to hamper the Rito, was it?" Mirror Match asked.
"Indeed. He thought he could stop you from obtaining this stone. See…long ago, we six sages, along with King Rauru, faced the Demon King in a long lasting war…the Imprisoning War. However, even with all of us, we could not defeat him. It was only when King Rauru sacrificed his life that we managed to finally seize the day." the Wind Sage explained.
"So that was the Imprisoning War…" Tulin said.
"That would explain why we only saw an arm pinning down the old mummy." Sonic said.
"But, what does this all have to do with Tulin?" Paimon asked.
"After the Imprisoning War ended, and we six sages survived the climactic battle, I soon received a visitor with a request that would define the future of the Rito. It was the Sage of Time. She warned of the Demon King's return and that a swordsman and a band of heroes would rise to the occasion and that the winds of the Rito were needed. I said it would be our honor." the sage said. "Now Tulin…it is your turn…to fight the Demon King…with the heroes!" he called out before vanishing.
After the previous sage had vanished, Tulin then looked to the Sacred Stone, which had shrunk down to its regular size.
"So it's my mission to fight the Demon King with you?" Tulin asked, before he turned to the others in sheer joy. "Everyone! This is so, so amazing! I can't believe my ancestor gave me such an important mission, and it involves fighting alongside you guys to save the world!"
"Yep. Just like your dad back when he was with us." David said. "Revali, Esmeralda… Thanks. We couldn't have done this without your help."
"Do not sweat it. The Rito are my people after all. It is in my nature to protect them. Plus, it was the least we could do for our dear friend, Teba." Revali said. "When I had died back then, I thought it was the end of that. But then you went back in time and changed our fates. It was thanks to all of you I was able to return the favor. So, you can count on me to be your guiding arrow in the darkness." he said with a thumbs up on his wing.
"Thank you, Revali. I know I can count on you when the time comes to get things done." David said.
"It will be my pleasure." Revali said. "And what say you, Tulin? Will you take up arms as the Sage of Wind to fight by our side?"
"If we don't do anything, then the world is gonna be in big trouble. I can't let that happen… I'll do this! I'll happily take this secret stone!" Tulin declared.
Upon this declaration, the secret stone in front of Tulin's eyes changed color from a shining gold to a verdant green as a symbol drew upon it. It then zoomed to the young warrior's right talon before an anklet formed around his right ankle, securing the stone to his leg.
With that done, Tulin turned to the group, his new mantle taken up.
"I am the Sage of Wind! Look! Check out what I can do now!" Tulin called before he summoned a spiritual avatar of himself that flew around before zooming to his side and blasting a gust of wind forward.
"A spiritual clone of yourself. Nice!" Zi-O gave a thumbs up.
Tulin then flapped over close to the alliance, focusing on three specific individuals.
"Link, David, Master Revali. Hold out your hands." Tulin said. The three of them did so, Link holding out Rauru's right hand and grasping it in Tulin's right wing, as David and Revali did the same with Tulin's left. "I, Tulin, the Sage of Wind, swear to fight by your sides until the end! Take this! It's proof that I'm with you all!" he said as he glowed green before the light transferred to Rauru's arm as a ring depicting the same symbol as Tulin's sacred stone appeared on his pinky before a light shot out of it and formed into Tulin's astral clone.
"Wow! Tulin's sage powers bonded with Rauru's arm!" Megumin said.
"David, did you and Revali get the same ring Link did?" Mahiru asked.
"A little… It…feels like we did. What about you, Revali?" David asked.
"I definitely feel a connection between you, myself and Tulin." Revali said.
"Give it a quick test run, you two." Geiz suggested.
"Okay, but I haven't done anything like summoning before, so don't be surprised if I mess this up." David said as his hand started shaking a bit before he brought it up facing a clearing, as a light started emanating from it. A light shot out as a hologram of Tulin appeared.
"It worked!" Rinwell said.
"That will definitely help you in your adventures." Hibiki smiled.
"You can use that connection to call on my power anytime." Tulin said. "OK! Let's head back to the village and tell Dad!"
They arrived to the village as they saw the snow melting as Rito Village was now once more lively and thriving.
"...and that's the whole story." Hope said as they explained what happened to Teba. "We did kinda get Tulin wrapped up into all this, but we worked well together. And what matters is we saved Rito village."
"Still, sorry we brung Tulin along with us into the cloud." Glimmer said.
"It's alright. I couldn't have very well stopped all of you from going with Tulin even if I tried." Teba said. "And besides… I knew that there were no better people that could teach my son the value of working as a team than all of you."
"A sign that you probably know us a bit too well." David said.
"I suppose so." Teba said. "In any case, this was no small feat."
"I still can't believe the Stormwind Ark from the children's song was real." Saki-2 said.
"Me neither. You could've knocked me over with a feather!" Tulin said.
Teba lowered his head in thought before approaching Tulin as he held out his bow to him.
"For a job well done, Tulin." Teba said.
"Whoa, whoa, Teba wait! That's your Great Eagle Bow, isn't it? You're giving it to Tulin?" Ethox asked.
"It was always my intention to give it to him once he came of age as a warrior." Teba said as Tulin looked down in thought before taking it.
"Dad… Thank you. I'll prove to you I've become a warrior worthy of carrying it!" Tulin said.
"You've raised a fine young warrior, Teba." Zebei said.
"Indeed I have." Teba said.
"So…now that things look okay here…let's go the easy way and go to Death Mountain." Natsu said.
"Really? I thought we're going to the Gerudo Desert since we're close by." Zi-O said.
"No, it makes sense to go to Death Mountain next." Hope said. "We'll investigate the regions closer to Hyrule Castle first, then go to the outer regions from there."
"As you wish." Zi-O shrugged.
"Amber and I will return to Lookout Landing to aid the defense against Ganondorf's forces." Laura B. said.
"No problem, you two." Geiz noted.
"Take care, and nice meeting you guys!" Amber waved as she and Laura left the village.
"Aether, Grey, Paimon, ready to go?" Houki asked.
"All set and Ret-2-Go!" Paimon replied with Aether and Grey nodding.
"Will we really be okay heading to the Eldin Region? I've heard Death Mountain makes it a freakin' oven." Kazuma said.
"It'll be okay, Kazuma. Remember, Riolu said Death Mountain went dormant after the Calamity ended. Because of that, we don't have to worry about getting cooked alive." Hope said.
"If you say so." Kazuma said. "But if we end up dying from heat stroke, you're never living it down in the afterlife."
"Or we can stock up on fire potions. Sucrose can help you with that." Cure Starlight said.
"Guess we're off then." David said. "It was good to see you again, Teba."
"Likewise, David. Good luck on the rest of your quest." Teba said.
"I'll stay here and look into what my ancestor told us about the sage of time. There's still a lot of questions left unanswered. Next time you guys see me, I'll have more information about Princess Zelda. So check in with me sometime, OK? And remember– with my Sage's Power, we can all keep working together no matter what!" Tulin said.
"Don't worry. We won't forget!" Link called out as they headed off.
