After resolving the issue in the desert, the heroes were now on a quest to recover the Master Sword which had previously been broken.
"I mean…if we even find the sword, not like it'll do much good." Mineta said.
"Don't be so sure. If it suddenly disappeared…I believe the reason it faded from Link's hand was so it could be repaired." Ainz said.
"The Master Sword almost never breaks though. It must take someone really skilled to repair it." Glimmer said. "I bet it could've been possible to repair it back when Rauru was king."
"Plus to be fair, the sword wasn't exactly at full power when we used it against Calamity Ganon." Link said.
"You know, I heard a rumor that even if the Master Sword does get damaged, it becomes a heck of a lot stronger when reforged." Hilda said.
"That is but a rumor. Besides, a blacksmith can't reforge it. The only thing that can is exposure to sacred light." Sheer said. "It's possible the sword was taken somewhere holy to bathe in sacred light. If that is what happened, then by now after so many eons, the sword should be strong enough to slay Ganondorf."
"And since we don't know where it is, the only one who possibly could is the sword's former caretaker, the good ol' Deku Tree." Theo said.
"Likely so. But we've come to know that Ganondorf is very crafty." Mirror Match said. "He sent four fierce monsters to not only hinder the 4 other races territories, but stop Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon and Riju from taking up the Sages stones. It's very likely he predicted we would go to Korok Forest soon, and perhaps made precautions there as well."
"But that wouldn't make sense since he saw the sword was destroyed." Theo said.
"Theo is right. Ganondorf is smart, but he doesn't account for every little thing. That would just be…ridiculous." David said.
"Anyway, we're here." Theo said as they reached the woods.
"Okay, let's go." Alear said as she walked into the woods before a few seconds later, she came back to the entrance. "Huh? Did I…make a turn at some point? No…I'll try again." she said going in again before returning a few seconds later. "Okay…now I know I didn't turn."
"That's the thing with the Lost Woods, you have to take a certain path or be guided by the Koroks." Lana said.
"Except you can't do neither." a voice said as they saw the Ginhana Team that was sent here, along with Fu Hua.
"Guys? What do you mean, we can't do neither?" Dan asked.
"We've been trying to get into the Korok Forest for the past few days now. But no matter which way we took, we all kept ending up back in the entrance." Treecko said.
"That must mean the Koroks really don't want people getting in. More so than usual." Sakura noted.
"Is there any way we can get through this?" Michiru asked.
"We've tried a number of ways. Rowlet can't get in from above, we can't walk through, we can't even ask the Korok for help." Bulbasaur said.
"Well….if we can't use conventional means…we'll have to go unconventional." Giovanna said.
"Huh?" the group said.
"What she's saying is… why not try below?" Fu Hua answered.
It wasn't long before the group was seen walking through the depths.
"Of course, the fog only surrounds the Lost Woods, it doesn't even touch the forest. We can just use Link's Ascension to transcend into the Korok Forest." Meowth said.
"Nice thinking, Giovanna. How'd you know this would work?" Connor said.
"I've been studying the geography of Hyrule and how its land works since the minute we arrived. I knew that the Lost Woods would supernaturally obscure anyone trying to go directly in to try and locate Korok forest. On that front, I concluded that if we couldn't get into the forest from above or through the Lost Woods, we'd just go underneath." Giovanna said. "Luckily for us, the Depths give us the perfect way to traverse right under the Lost woods tricks, and surface right in the very heart of the Koroks home."
"Okay…this should be about where the location of the forest is." Meowth said as they reached a stone monument.
"Link…you know what to do." Theo said as everyone grabbed onto Link.
"Ascend!" Link said as they ascended through the rock before surfacing in the Korok Forest, however, the whole forest was quiet as not a single Korok made a peep or movement.
"Okay, this is creepy… why's the forest so quiet?" Frosta asked.
"Yeah, this place is usually lively with Koroks everywhere, I wonder what's so-" Hope said.
"Um…everyone?" Perfuma asked, getting their attention. "I believe I just found out why."
Everyone then looked to see The Great Deku Tree as a red substance could be seen bubbling from it.
"I see…the Great Deku Tree must have been infected by the Gloom when Ganondorf rose back up." Chopper said.
"We have to save him! Can our plant experts do anything?" Ethox asked.
"No, unfortunately." Perfuma said.
"Any attempts Perfuma, Shiozaki and I could make at removing the gloom ourselves will result in our fauna being infected too." Poison Ivy added.
"Then chop the tree down. They grow back." Denji said.
"Denji, that's too cruel! The Great Deku Tree is a living being who's been around for decades!" Marianne said.
"Eh? So what? My old man and I spent our lives chopping them down and they didn't care." Denji said.
"The Deku Tree is not any other tree, though. It's very sacred." Sectonia said.
"C'mon, Denji. If we did that, we'd be taking away someone the inhabitants of this forest cared about! Don't you know how much it'd hurt them?" ZS asked.
"Ugh…if you all are complaining about it, fine! I'll just take care of whatever sickness is inside the damn thing." Denji said.
"Wait, Denji…agh!" Hilda said, seeing Denji going inside the Deku Tree. "We should probably go help him."
"Wait, stop!" Perfuma said as she and Poison Ivy ran after him and grabbed onto him.
"Ugh…yeah, double for me!" Hilda said joining in.
"Are all you girls insane? If one more of you went in, we'd…" Denji said, looking to the hole leading into the center of the tree.
"Wait, Paimon wants in too!" Paimon said joining in as all five fell deep into the tree as the hole was sealed off.
"This…can't be good. Well…least they got three strong fighters with them." Connor said.
Deep inside the Great Deku Tree…
"Well…this officially sucks…" Denji said seeing the four who followed him trapped under some rubble. "How did you all manage to get stuck at the same time anyway?! I understand Hilda, the runt and the dumb plant girl, but hot plant girl?!"
"Ivy and I have names, you know…" Perfuma said.
"Names are the least of our issues right now." Hilda said.
"HIlda's right. We're trapped inside the Great Deku Tree under a mound of rubble." Poison Ivy said.
"Well not all of us. And luckily, it doesn't look like we have a single enemy to worry about." Denji said before noticing movement coming from the gloom as hands started to form.
"Oh no… Gloom Hands!" Perfuma said.
"What will they do?" Paimon asked.
"Don't know and really don't want to know. Denji, you gotta help!" Hilda said.
"Oh now you want my help? Cause it seemed like you guys didn't think I could hack it alone." Denji said.
"Well excuse us for being worried you were gonna chop down a living tree sacred to Hyrule!" Hilda said.
"You know, maybe I should just let the hands carry you ladies off to who knows where." Denji said.
"You really are a scumbag." Poison Ivy said. "And that's coming from me."
"Sorry…but I got things more important than being some fancy hero and protecting worlds. A desire so strong…I would let a hundred of them fall." Denji said.
"What? What could be more important?" Hilda asked.
"It's easy…Sex." Denji said.
"…What."
"...You're kidding." Paimon deadpanned.
"Yeah...that's my dream. Before my old world died and I started working for you all. I wanted to have it with a real woman." Denji said.
"You…have got to be kidding me. You are the most selfish and idiotic person I have ever met. And I thought Bane was an idiot." Poison Ivy said.
"Hilda, what possessed you and the others to think hiring Denji was a good idea?" Perfuma asked.
"He wasn't hired as a hero. He was hired to do janitorial work." Hilda said.
"I mean…can this guy even fight?" Perfuma asked.
"Course I can. I'm actually a freelance devil hunter." Denji said.
"Fine then. I'll give you anything if you help to take out the gloom." Poison Ivy said.
"Okay!" Denji said. "Now…this next part…gonna have to swear you four to secrecy since I can't have my cover be blown." he said, taking off his shirt to show a rip cord in his chest.
"A rip cord?" Perfuma said.
"Just watch and learn." Denji said as he went and pulled it before the hands piled on him.
"Aw…and he was so…" Paimon said before they all heard a revving sound.
The hands were suddenly sliced into bits as they saw a familiar figure with chainsaw head and arms.
"What in the name of the Archons?!" Paimon exclaimed.
"Hahahaahaha! Sorry but I don't take those kinda jobs from weird blobs!" Chainsaw Man laughed as he started cutting into the Gloom.
"Unbelievable! Hilda! Denji is Chainsaw Man?!" Perfuma asked.
"I'm just as shocked…cause I didn't know it either!" Hilda said. "It would explain why he sometimes comes home covered in blood."
"So all this time, your agency's been secretly housing the most feared Devil to ever walk the face of the multiverse." Poison Ivy said. "He's been making you all a target while using it as a cover!"
"Yep. Meaning if you go leaking, I'll tell every demon and devil hunting agency out there that Team Revival is an ally to evil demons and devils!" Chainsaw Man said as he laughed.
"So cruel…he really is a Devil." Perfuma said.
"Guess I'd better keep my mouth shut if it means keeping me and the others safe from all 10 circles of hell…" Hilda gulped.
"Whew…okay…think that's all of…" Chainsaw Man said before the leftover gloom started to reform into a more humanoid form as it now resembled Ganondorf. "Ah…finally stopped wussing out huh? Fine. Sword vs Chainsaw then."
The Phantom Ganon dashed at the devil and drew a Gloom Sword, clashing its blade with the devil's chainsaws.
"Such a shame, really! I would've loved to dice up the real version of you! Everybody in this place talks about how you're an unstoppable Demon King, so you would've been the perfect guy to act as a warmup for my real target!" Chainsaw Man said.
"Real target?" Poison Ivy asked.
"Chainsaw Man appeared in New York City during the Cyber Collision. He's hunting the Antichrist, Dark Hell's leader." Perfuma said. "Though not sure why he would do that."
"Well….that's simple really. I've been promised a real sweet reward…if I kill him." Chainsaw Man said.
"A reward? By who?" Perfuma asked.
"A pretty woman from the Exorcist Corps…" Chainsaw Man said.
"A….wait…so it's not about rescuing anyone? Or even avenging your world?" Perfuma asked.
"Nope. Pretty much everyone in my world died when that angel guy and his Crusade blew it up." Chainsaw Man said.
"Oh, that's right… the Prideful Crusade led by Superbia. He wanted to wipe out everything in the Demon Universe." Perfuma said. "We stopped him, but a lot of demon universe worlds were wiped out."
"Which included mine. But I'm more of a guy that lives in the moment. After the crusade was over, I was tryin' to figure out what to do next. But then that Exorcist woman promised me something really good if I killed the Antichrist. That real sweet reward had to be getting it on with her, so of course I took the job." Chainsaw Man said.
"And you got a job with us so you'd have a place to live while ripping and tearing through Dark Hell to find him." Hilda said.
"Yep. I figured if he's the big boss, he'll have to get pissed at some point about some random guy messing with his operation." Chainsaw Man said.
"Aren't you worried that your deal with that Exorcist will go sideways? You are a Devil yourself." Poison Ivy said.
"Nah…to be honest, only my heart's a devil. The rest of me is human. Besides…" Chainsaw Man said as his left arm was cut off. "I can't die!"
The Phantom Ganon went in for the finishing blow despite Chainsaw Man's immortality, only to be blocked by the remaining chainsaw.
"Dude, hey, you know how many times people think they win just cause they chop off my arms? Too many to count!" Denji said as he cleaved right into Ganon using the chainsaw in his head.
"I think we all have the same thought about him, Hilda." Poison Ivy said as Chainsaw Man continued to rip apart Phantom Ganon.
"Yeah, no kidding." Hilda said. "It's not lost on me, that me and the others? We're secretly housing one of the most dangerous people in the Multiverse."
"Ah…well….that was a pain." Chainsaw Man said as the phantom soon faded away along with the Gloom it had brought.
"Well, guess that's one I owe you, Denji." Hilda said.
"You can make it up to me by never telling Connor about this. I know I said I'd pin you guys with me if you squealed…. But if I'm being honest, if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have any place to crash while I do my thing." Chainsaw Man said. "He may act like an idiot sometimes, but when things get serious, he knows what he's doing. Honestly, he kinda reminds me of this guy I knew back in my world. Though that just makes me wanna kick him in the nuts for making me remember that. Right, guess I should get you guys outta there."
"But…your arm…" Perfuma said.
"Oh that?" Chainsaw man said as he pulled the cord again as his body was restored to perfect condition.
"You can instantly heal by pulling that ripcord again?" Perfuma asked.
"Not all the time. Depends on the amount of blood." Denji said after reverting to normal. "Now then…"
The group waited patiently outside as they saw the tree healing itself before Denji emerged with the other four by his side.
"Gloom free." Denji said.
"Seriously? With you in there? How'd you guys..?" Hope asked.
"Oh, we had to cover his back a whole lot. Denji talked a lot of smack, but he was pretty useless when those Gloom Hands came out. We did all the work while he hid behind four girls, isn't that hilarious?" Hilda said, lying to cover Denji's real work.
"(Geez, did y'have to make me seem so lame?)" Denji whispered.
"Okay… we'll just leave it at that then." David said, unconvinced.
"...Paimon doesn't wanna talk about it." Paimon said.
"Really? Because you look like you've seen a demon or something." Aether said.
"...I think it's best to just move on… for now anyway." Zi-O said before staring at Denji. "(You on the other hand, thanks to my knowledge of anime, I know who you really are. Why you're with the heroes is beyond me.)"
"Loose lips sink ships after all." Ace added with a knowing look.
"Geez, you really need to go that badly, don't ya." Denji said.
"Don't mind him. Anyway, this means the Great Deku Tree is safe, right?" Shiozaki asked.
"That's right. I don't sense any remains of the Gloom." Theo said.
"Ah…the heroes of Hyrule return. Much time has passed since you last came here." the Great Deku tree spoke up, fully healed of Gloom. "It is good to see you as well, Shun Kazami."
"He knows Shun?" Ethox asked.
"I've been training here long since an…unexpected element wormed their way into the Dimensional Heroes." Shun said, looking at Hope.
"Yeah…gonna feel that for a long time." Hope said.
"Anyway…we've come for the Master Sword." Shun said.
"I see…well I'm sorry to bring bad news…but the Master Sword is not here." The Great Deku Tree said.
"Huh?! But it was here the last time!" Zephyr said.
"Yet…I can sense it, even now. There can be no mistake." The Great Deku Tree said.
"Huh?" Link said checking his Purah Pad. "He's right. The sword…it's still in this world!"
"That's incredible…but…" Rimuru said seeing the dot on the screen moving. "Why is it moving?"
"Well I can think of two reasons. Either the sword has suddenly gained flight powers or…." Cobalt said as they all looked up above to see a large Light Dragon flying high above and across Hyrule. "It's stuck in something that can fly."
"Such an incredible light it possesses." Laura A. said.
"I think you mean Sacred Light. That's where the Master Sword has been repairing itself for the last thousands of years." Sheer said.
"So… we're supposed to fly Link up to that dragon so he can pull the Master Sword from it?" Grantz asked.
"It…would appear so." Gabiru said.
"I could summon Malphas and help Link catch up to it so he can draw the Master Sword. Unless one of you has a better plan." Simon said.
"Uh…" Kazuma said, as a picture of the Light Dragon attacking Malphas appeared in his mind. "…Why don't you masquerade with 'em and just fly Link up yourself?"
"Or better yet, have someone else fly him up. Someone who WON'T be smited in an instant." David said.
"Yeah. They could fly Link above the dragon and drop him right onto where the sword is and Link can yank it out." Pit said.
"That means you're up, Pit." David said.
"Uh…Oh…you know, I would. But I can't fly on my own and…" Pit said.
"What about the experimental jetpack that crazy inventor lady who stays in our ship made for you?" Pinkie asked.
"Right…how could I forget?" Pit asked with gritted teeth.
"Don't give us that. You're the only one here that is pretty much safe with that thing." Aoesia said.
"Why can't you guys go?" Pit asked.
"Are you insane? That's a dragon. We may have villains on our team but we're not that crazy." Aoesia said. "Plus, bees can't fly that high for very long."
"Fine. Guess I'll do it. But if I die, I better get a fancy funeral." Pit said.
"But don't you come back after you die?" Jexi asked.
Pit stayed quiet until he was given the jetpack. "All right…guess we're doing this." he said, grabbing hold of Link before taking off into the air.
"So…he'll be fine right?" Jexi asked on his comm to Hatsume.
"Of course. He's got a 49 percent survival rate." Hatsume said.
"What's the other 51 percent?" Jexi asked.
"Oh, he explodes into a fiery ball of death." Hatsume said. "But it's okay cause he's an angel."
"Uh…won't he still be in agonizing pain while he's exploding?" Ethox asked.
"Oh yes. In incredible pain. But the point is…we'll know." Hatsume said.
"…Run it by us: they let her into your school…why?" Koenig asked Eijiro.
"We're uh…still figuring that out." Eijiro said.
Pit however kept ascending into the heavens before they were above the dragon.
"Okay. Dive!" Pit said letting go of Link as the swordsman dove onto the dragon. "Huh…so far so…" he said before he saw his jetpack smoking. "Ah ah!" he said ditching it as he fell onto the dragon's face. "Uh…so…see any good movies?"
The dragon then started shaking as Pit and Link held onto it.
"Looks like he ditched the jet pack. His only hope is to stay on that lizard." Naofumi said.
"Don't worry…we'll be prepared for when that happens. We'll knock that dragon outta the sky if we have to." Natsu said.
"No!" Laura A. said out of surprise.
"Slay the light dragon, and I'll slay you." Cure Starlight threatened Natsu.
"I know you and some of the animal lovers care but Pit and Link's lives are also important." Jexi said.
"He's right. We can't take any chances. Not when we are so close." Kokoro said.
Up above, Link continued to move toward the forehead as Pit held onto the dragon's face for dear life.
"Look…I get it. Not a big fan of having strangers on your body. I understand. I got assaulted 8 times when I visited a boarding school and got my wings taped down. Don't get me wrong. I mean, you look great. I mean, your white scales, your piercing blue eyes…your…blond…hair…" Pit said. "Hey…have we…Are you…." he said as Link finally managed to reach the sword. "Ah right!" he said as he saw the others below preparing to attack. "Crap!" Pit said as he jumped towards them.
"Oh no, he fell off!" Izuku said.
"No, I think he jumped actually." Asta said. "Pit, are you alright? Link is still on that dragon. We gotta…"
"Guys! You…you can't attack that dragon. You can't shoot it down either!" Pit called out on the comms.
"Huh? Why not?"
"It's not a dragon! Well…it is a dragon but…" Pit said.
"Start making sense or…" Naofumi said.
"IT'S ZELDA!" Pit cried out, surprising all of them.
"WHAT?!" they all said.
"But how is that possible?! Zelda's never become a dragon before!" Rista said.
"Dragonification…" Sheer said. "She must have used a forbidden act in order to become a dragon. She doesn't know who any of us are…and she's given up her original form…just to ensure success."
"That's why it felt familiar." Laura A. said.
"See? This is what happened! Zelda didn't disappear…she went into the past! Don't you guys get it? She's the Sage of Time. She's the one who's been helping us…even from so long in the past! She's the real savior of Hyrule!" Pit called out as he fell from the sky.
"Of course! That's why the sages vowed their descendants would awaken today!" Giovanna realized.
"When Zelda fell into the chasm after Ganondorf awakened, that stone she had must've been a secret stone. It activated and sent her back thousands of years to when Hyrule was just beginning. Which means she also met Rauru, and experienced the events of the Imprisoning war." Tanya said. "Obviously, she tried helping Rauru and the other Six Sages to defeat Ganondorf in the past so that he wouldn't cause trouble in the present, but thanks to what the previous Sages told us, that battle didn't end well. So once Rauru sacrificed himself to seal Ganondorf away, she went with another plan."
"She knew she wouldn't live long enough to meet us all again…not as a Hylian. But dragons…we have longer lifespans than humans and Hylians." Kokoro said.
"So once she told the Previous sages that Ganondorf would return thousands of years later, ensuring their descendants would take up their mantle to fight alongside us…" Kareem said.
"She took the ultimate risk, and swallowed her Secret stone to become the Light Dragon, and through thousands of years, brought the revitalized Master Sword back to the present day." Bassam said.
"Wow… way to use your head, Zelda." Geiz remarked.
"Yeah…it's crazy…now can someone please stop me from falling please!" Pit begged.
"...Excuse me." Cure Starlight complied, using her energy wings to fly towards the falling angel and caught him in a bridal carry. "Miss Palutena already?"
"Little bit…but thank you." Pit said. "Also, I'm gonna kill Hatsume later for giving me that death trap of a jet pack."
"She should've sent Houki or the others to do it." Cure Starlight said before looking at Link holding onto the dragon for dear life. "In the meantime, let's see if he can reach the Master Sword."
"Don't worry…he's just about…" Pit said as Link pulled out the Master Sword before jumping off towards them. "He did it!"
"Usually I'd try to catch him too, but he's got a paraglider so he should be fine." Cure Starlight said. "Now let's go after him, and then, we're heading back to the Lookout."
"Yeah." Pit said.
As soon as Link landed, the group quickly reformed around him as they made their return to the Lookout.
"All right…we saved the four tribes…and got the Master Sword." Riolu said. "Next step…we need to take on Ganondorf and take back Veronica's Bracelet."
"We're still missing something." Lana said.
"I think I know what you're gonna say, Lana." Zi-O spoke. "There's 6 sages. We already knew about five of them…but we're missing one."
"Lana, we don't need all six sages. Besides, we were never going to be able to get all six anyway." Meowth said.
"He has a point, with Zelda a dragon, the odds were always going to be against us. But not like that's nothing new for us." Sheer said.
"Still… it wouldn't be right to leave the remaining sage alone like this." Kiana stated. "I'd say we free the last sage first, then we go after Ganondorf."
"Only one problem…there's currently no records relating to the last sage." Bulbasaur said.
"...Then how about searching the deeper parts of the depths?" Fu Hua suggested. "I feel like there's something important hiding there."
"Hmm…how about this? We'll head to Hyrule Castle but while we do that, we'll send a four man team of our choosing from our squad to find any info on this last sage." Riolu said.
"I like that idea. We'll head to Hyrule castle to find Ganondorf, and we'll search for the missing Sage of Spirit at the same time." Hope said.
"I say it's worth a shot." Cure Starlight noted. "That being said, I'll lead my squad, and I'm taking Kiana, Fu Hua and Houki with me. Zi-O, Geiz, take care of things while I'm busy."
"No problem, sis." Zi-O replied as he and Geiz nodded.
"And we'll send Mismagius, Hoopa, Chimecho and Mawile as our experts in magic as well as ancient languages." Riolu said.
"Alright, we got our plan." Ethox said. "Let's get to work!"
