Two silver-steel colored orbs sat in the spectators tower, next to him a crow haired girl was seated, her hazel irises intently observing the aerial event before her.
The potion-master's scowl seemed to drop lower and lower as he swooped onto the quidditch pitch, his black cloak billowing out from behind like the wings of a bat.
Blurs of crimson and gold clashed as players sped through the air on their broomsticks. Diving in all directions high above the sky.
The aerial spectacle came to a screeching halt as the boy who lived performed a risky maneuver barely avoiding crashing onto the ground below, somehow emerging unscathed clutching the snitch in his palm.
A carrot haired boy broke out into celebration, joined by a bushy haired girl. The young Malfoy's silver-steel irises widened as he noticed something peculiar, as the students and professors were making their way out of the various spectator towers, the gloomy Professor remained behind taking off in the direction of the forbidden forest.
The emerald eyed seeker had noticed it too, flying high above the air silently trailing the potions-master. The young pureblood began to follow the direction the boy who lived was headed in, the crow haired girl, and the two Gryffindor's also following the Gryffindor seeker.
Arriving in the forbidden forest, they found their vision obscured by the many trees and the darkness of the forest. Turning their heads when they heard hushed voices.
"I d-don't know why you wanted t-t-to meet here of all p- places, Severus ..."
"Oh, I thought we'd keep this private,' said Snape, his voice icy. "Students aren't supposed to know about the Sortiarium Stone, after all."
Draco's eyes flashed as he listened intently.
"Have you found out how to get past that beast of Hagrid's yet ?"
"B-b-but Severus, I –" The stammering wizard replied.
"You don't want me as your enemy, Quirrell," said Snape, taking a step towards him.
"I-I don-t know what you –"
"You know perfectly well what I mean."
"That little bit of hocus pocus. I'm waiting.'
"B-but I d-d-don't –".
"Very well,' Snape cut in. "We'll have another little chat soon, when you've had time to think things over and decided where your loyalties lie."
The five waited until they were absolutely certain that the potions master had left the forest before returning to the castle.
"The stone Snape's after it, th-that's why he was threatening Professor Quirrell, Professor Quirrel must've been asked by Professor Dumbledore to cast spells to protect the stone and Snape wants Professor Quirrell to undo them which means—"
"We're doomed". The carrot haired boy finished for Harry.
"What are we going to do ?" Harry said incredulously.
"We're going to do nothing because Snape's not trying to steal the stone." The young Malfoy said.
"You can't seriously still believe Snape isn't after the stone." The bushy haired girl said incredulous by the young pureblood's insistence on the potion master's innocence.
"Draco", Cho began slowly, continuing, "We all just saw Snape threaten Professor Quirrell, I didn't want to believe it at first, that a Hogwarts Professor could be trying to steal the stone but what other reason could Snape have for threatening Professor Qurriell. The crow haired girl finished.
The young Malfoy opened his mouth but then immediately closed it, unable to come up with a counter argument, he sprang on his heels and bolted out of the forest in the direction of the castle leaving the others behind shocked.
