Chapter 2-4

Chameleon's Hideout

"Oh my god," Yuri panicked as she felt her arms tied to the arms of the chair before her. With nothing but a light above her to light her capture room, her eyes darted around the room. She was still removed from her clothing with only her matching black bra and panties remaining.

The Yuri who kidnapped her - Yuri 2 - smiled at the captured woman with a Cheshire grin and wide eyes.

"To be honest, I wasn't sure your clothes would fit me." She tugs on her jacket. "But not only do they fit, I love them. I love leather. Thank you for the free jacket." She pulls out a cell phone. "And thank you for your cellular device. If you ask me, you civilized people use this one too many times." She stands up. "What's the password?" She rips the gag from Yuri's mouth. "The password, please?"

Yuri spat in Yuri 2's face. "Fuck you, bitch."

"Fuck yourself." Yuri 2 wipes the saliva off her face. "You know what, one of my associates is a hacker; I'll have him deal with this phone issue. And until then, I am going to take your place. There's only room for one Yuriko Watanabe in this world. But don't worry, I'll be sure to keep you company."

A door hidden in the shadows opened and closed. A man wearing a demon mask approached the lady and tilted his head down at her.

It was the man with the glowing skin.

"Will she be answering questions willing or unwilling?" the glowing man asked.

Yuri 2 shook her head. "Nope."

"Then I will do the work for you." The glowing man grabbed Yuri's head and bestowed negative energy upon her.

Yuri's skin glowed a dark blue color and her eyes glowed white.

"Yuriko Watanabe," the glowing man's voice boomed, "You will answer any questions my employee demands. And you will answer with honesty."

"Yes," Yuri's voice took a deep turn.

Yuri 2 asked Yuri a series of questions and Yuri had no choice but to answer. Once Yuri 2 had all her questions answered, Yuri 2 turned to the glowing man.

"I have all I need, Mr. Li," Yuri 2 smiled.

The glowing man smiled. "Good. Now you know what to do, Chameleon."

Yuri 2 nods and walks away. The glowing man touched Yuri, removed the negative energy from Yuri, and left the room.

When the glowing man and Yuri 2 left the room, another man walked into the room wearing a demon mask. He carried with him a briefcase. He pulled out a table that was hidden in the dark along with a chair. He sits down in the chair and opens the briefcase.

"How are we doing, Captain Watanabe?" the man asked in a thick Brooklyn accent. "I apologize for any inconvenience. Would you like me to loosen the restraints on your arms? You know, to give you more breathing room? Wiggle room, perhaps?"

Yuri stares at the Demon. "You won't get away with this."

"I'm pretty sure we already have but if it makes you feel better then by all means, keep repeating that mantra in your head. Just know that saying it aloud won't change anything." He loosened the restraints on her arms so they weren't hurting her wrists and risked cutting off her circulation. When she lunged, the Demon didn't flinch in the slightest. "You haven't done anything I haven't seen before." He shows Yuri what is inside his briefcase. A revolver, some parts of a box, and a crank.

The Demon pulls a bullet out of his pocket and inserts it in the revolver. "Ever play a game of Russian Roulette? I'm not talking about the casino game but the one with an actual revolver. The game is one of two things I love in this world. That, and the Jack-in-the-box. The Jack-in-the-box is such a nostalgic toy. When I was hiding from my father in my closet or when he stuffed me in a closet, that Jack-in-the-box would be the only thing comforting me. The music, the sound, the anticipation. If I ever needed a friend to talk to, I could always call him. And he never ignored a thing I said. He listened to my problems and he never judged me. And we had great communication skills. If he wanted to go back in the box, I would help shove him back in. And if I wanted to call him, he would understand and let me wind the crank up and call him."

He pulls several pieces out of the box along with a stuffed toy monkey of some kind. "Amber is saying that she wants to hurt you."

He puts the pieces together to make a Jack-in-the-box. He stuffs the monkey in the box and a piano wire. He uses the piano wire to attach the gun to the box with the barrel sticking out. He pulls the hammer and looks at Yuri.

"Open your mouth," the Demon ordered. "I could miss at this distance so it's better if I put the gun in your mouth so there's no chance of me missing."

Yuri spits on the Demon's mask.

The Demon sighs heavily. "Don't say I didn't warn you." He grabbed Yuri's nose and squeezed hard. He didn't relent until Yuri opened her mouth to breathe. Without wasting another second, he shoves the barrel of the revolver in her mouth.

"It is an honor to die from the 'Cap-in-the-box'," the Demon laughs. "I know the name sucks but it's all I can think of. Now then." He inserts the crank into the box. "In case you die, you may be curious about my name. After all, if someone was killing me, I'd want to know what their name is. My name is Luigi."

He winds up the Jack-in-the-box with the crank pulling on the wire wrapped around the gun and trigger, which would go off once the monkey came out of the box. The monkey came out of the box and the trigger was pulled but the chamber was empty. Luigi repeated the process two more times and on the last time, actually made some progress.

With nothing to do but stare and wait for her impending doom, Yuri winced her eyes shut and tried to turn her head but Luigi grabbed her hair and pulled. He wound up the box and waited for the Jack-in-the-box to reach the end. As the music was reaching the finale, Yuri felt her heart pound in her chest and her breathing became hitched.

The Jack-in-the-box reached the end of the musical but nothing happened. Luigi grunted in confusion pulled the box away and turned it away from Yuri. After he checked the crank, the monkey sprang out of the box, causing the gun to go off at the wall and nearly making him jump out of his skin.

"Wow," Luigi laughed, "looks like my monkey was playing a joke on me, such a nice little girl." He decides to push the box to the side and lace his fingers together. He stares at Yuri and his eyes bulge behind his mask. "Captain Watanabe, can I ask you a serious question?" He leans in. "What is the deal with sex? I get that people have instinctive urges that they must satisfy but honestly… I don't find the idea of sex appealing. I've had good sex multiple times and I still don't find it appealing. But there is one thing I did discover."

He reached into his inner jacket pocket and pulled out parts for a drill.

"Making holes is so much better than filling holes. And I get plenty of holes to drill into you." He assembles the drill together and tests it out. "I wonder how many holes you can have in your face before you can no longer hold water in your mouth. Only one way to find out, I guess."

He grabs Yuri by the hair and holds her still. He holds the drill inches away from the center of her left facial cheek. Yuri couldn't contain her emotions anymore, especially when the drill made that godawful whirring sound. She promptly broke down crying and when the drill was about to touch her skin, she let out a loud -

Aaah! Harder, Spider.

Anything for my beloved kitty.

Hit me harder! Torture me!

How can I resist such a purr-fect opportunity? But only after you scratch. Scratch me kitten so that I may bleed. Please, please scratch me. Scratch me HARD and don't hold back!

Spider-Man talking dirty, imagine that.

Spidey slaps Black Cat across the face. She backhands him and slashes him across the mouth with her claws. He flips her over and slaps her backside as hard as he can and just barely pulls his punch.

"I didn't know a kitten like you liked taking it doggy style."

"I'm full of surprises, Spider." She grabbed his ear and began yanking.

Spidey hisses in a combination of pain and pleasure and bites her wrist. He drew blood and sucked it in. He turned her on her back and thrust himself inside her. He nips at her jawbone and bites down on her skin. He bit her skin hard and felt some of her flesh stuck in between his teeth. He spits it out and licks her wound.

"Gouge my eye out," Spidey begged. "Please, please?!"

The best thing I love about engaging in BCSM with Felicia; we can go all-out because Venom will heal us up. Well, heal HER up at least; I already got regenerative healing.

Black Cat raises her hands to dig her claw into his eye but at the last second, Spidey grabs her hand.

"On second thought, I would rather keep my eye." He sucks on her fingers and clips his tongue on her claws but the sweet taste of metal on his tongue did not stop his movements.

She dug her claws harder into his skin and did not stop until she felt her body lock up. Spidey followed close behind in ecstasy.

They panted heavily and embraced each other tightly. Spidey carefully lowers Felicia down from the ceiling and onto a bed. He leaps after her and lands beside her.

We didn't even get a chance to go all-out... yet but we can save that session for when we kill all of our enemies.

Black Cat pulls the webbing Spidey used to tie her hand off of her. She sighs and pants, catching her breath.

Spidey crawls on top of her and slaps her. "Ready for another round; my web-shooter is full and ready to be used."

She slaps him across the face, scratching him. "I think this cat is done for today."

Spidey eyes her up and down. They were both literally one article of clothing away from being naked with just their mask and goggles on.

He slaps her again. "How many more times can you take it, huh? How many more times can you take me slapping you? Come on, we should test your durability."

Black Cat sighs. "Take it easy, Spider, try and save something for tonight." She touches her chin. "I do need some time to heal."

"I can't help it; the Spider Act started and I'm free. I'm fucking free to do whatever I want and I wanted to celebrate with you. The best erotic sex you could ever experience. I wanted to give that to you and I succeeded." He leans down. "Does this kitty have any requests for our next BCSM session?"

"Collar and leash, defiantly." She pants loudly. "I'm going to get ready."

"Going on a mission or something?"

"Yes, I'm heading to one of the gangsters' outposts. I'm going to cause some disruption and after that, make an anonymous call to the police."

Spidey sighs. "Good. And while you're at it, I'm going to Kraven's place and I'm going to burn it down to the ground. And if he's inside, I would rather he be alive for me to finish off later but I'm fine with either outcome."

"Good to know; I'll call you if I need backup."

"Whatever you say, Kitten."

As Black Cat gathers her clothing and dresses herself, she leaps out of the window and swings away. Spidey, only wearing his mask, web-yanks his costume towards him and gets dressed once more. Spidey sighs and heads over to his desk where he has a microscope set up and a slide of blood underneath. He looks through the microscope.

Huh, this blood is human but there are some parts of the DNA strand that don't belong.

He noticed the DNA cells breaking down.

This DNA belongs to Kraven the Hunter. I've tested several steroids against this DNA to see if I can find a match and I came up with nothing. Whatever is in Kraven's blood does not belong to any steroid or bodybuilding medicine. So, in a way, he's like me: superhuman. Then again, I should've known that from the start, given how durable his eye was when I tried to gouge it out.

Spidey spins in his chair.

I could try testing herbs against his DNA to see if I can find a match. If I find out what's in Kraven's DNA, I could probably whip up a cure to depower him and then kill him. But I doubt I'll find a match here; Kraven doesn't seem to originate from America and may actually be of Russian origin. I can tell by his accent alone that he was born and raised in Russia and English is not his first language. Whatever super-plant or super-drug he got his superpowers from, it's not native to America, and trying to look it up online would probably be fruitless.

Ahh man, why can't life be simple back in the olden days? Green Goblin and Hobgoblin with the performance enhancers... Otto Octavius, four mechanical arms... Scorpion and Prowler having powered-up suits... and Miles Morales and Ben Reilly being bitten by the same kind of spider that bit me? What's next, a multiversal threat? Hilarious.

Well then, if I can't have Kraven's DNA to use against him, then he can't have my DNA to use against me. I'm going to head over to his hideout, right now, and I am going to torch that place down to the ground. After building a profile around him, I can conclude that Kraven takes pride in his work so this will be two birds with one stone: I get to remove my evidence from Kraven's hideout and I have something that will trigger his anger for me to use against him in our next fight.

He dons his web-shooters and makes sure he has another pair of web-shooters hidden in his costume before leaping out of his window and swinging away.

With Black Cat

Demon's Hideout, Upper West Side

"Alright boys, time to have a little fun." Black Cat lands on a building overlooking a new outpost that Black Cat had been stalking. It wasn't the same building as last time but one Black Cat found out when stalking these gangs when she planned on stealing later. This time, there were more of those Demon guys and all of them were armed to the teeth.

"Piece of cake."

The building was an industrial factory with several floors and wide open rooftops, plenty of time for her to maneuver. The best part was that there was a skyline on the top to give her the perfect place to scout.

"Four snipers on the roof and about ten guys on the outside of the building, each one armed with an assault rifle. This is going to be easy."

She swings over onto the roof of the building just out of sight of the snipers, who are positioned an equal distance away on opposite ends of the rooftop. She climbed onto the rooftop as quietly as possible and approached the first sniper, who was too busy looking through his scope to notice the cat burglar. She pulled out an expandable baton. She caught the sniper in a chokehold, knocked him to the ground, and smashed the baton over his head twice before he was unconscious. She keeps the baton open as she repeats his method on the other three snipers.

"Nighty nighty," she told the snipers before moving over to the skylight. She takes a peek through and sees several Demons inside, all working on storing firearms and bullets in shipping containers. She tilted her head and smiled.

"Aww, it seems like these guys like to store their firearms and bullets and here. If I cause chaos in this place, then I can disrupt their gun operation. I should probably call the police."

She notices a Demon walking out of an office and uses a key to lock the door behind him.

"Just as soon as I find out what is in that office." She pulls a camera out of her utility belt and sets it up on the edge of the skylight.

She extends her claws and carves a hole just barely big enough for her to fit through. She distracted the Demons below by having a forklift in the corner malfunction on them as one of them was using it to move a crate.

Black Cat drops in and touches her chin to make sure she isn't bleeding. Nope, the scar from her BCSM session had healed just enough with the blood crusting against her skin.

The warehouse was full of shipping containers so there were plenty of places and objects to hide behind. Black Cat used her catsuit to blend into the background and used her phone to look through the camera she set up on the skylight. She crouches and backs away when a Demon closes in on her. Seeing that he was alone and his back was turned to her, she moved in on him. She rolled a marble past his foot, making him watch it roll away.

He turned around and a baton struck him three times in the face before he fell to the ground unconscious.

"Fell asleep on the job, didya?" She hides him in the shadows beside a crate.

Black Cat maneuvers across the place and when she encounters a Demon all alone, she can't resist her urge to knock them unconscious. She used the baton and when she felt like it, the claws. Some of them would be waking up with broken jaws and missing teeth and others, with scratch marks that look like their pet cat turned against them.

When she was nearing the center of the room, she peeked to see a Demon assembling a gun together while blindfolded. She winks at him.

A gun falls off the table and discharges upon impact. The bullet hits the blindfolded Demon in the foot, making him scream and alert everyone. With everyone distracted, Black Cat used this opportunity to get across the warehouse and climbed up the stairs leading to the locked office. With everyone crowding around the wounded Demon, she decided to give them an extra dose of bad luck and winked at them once more.

Another gun fell to the ground and hit another Demon in the foot after discharging.

After making it up to the office, she approaches the locked door and uses a paperclip to unlock the office door. She shuts it close behind her and looks around the office. It looked like nothing more than a generic office with a desk in the center and several filing cabinets across the room.

"This office was locked for a reason." Her eyes widened. "Oh, and before I forget." She pulls out her phone and dials 911. When they pick up, she disguises her voice in a deep masculine voice and says, "The gangsters who bombed the Spider-Man rally have a warehouse on 1305 W Jefferson. They're using it to manufacture bullets and guns so you better send a SWAT team here." She smiles and hangs up. "Now then, what delicious secrets could these gangsters be hiding in this room."

She goes over to the desk and picks up the locked drawer. Opening it up, she finds a manilla folder. Opening it up, she sees several documents about several places all over New York City with a big red circle circled around them. "And what am I willing to bet that these are attack sites." She sees a name at the top of the documents. "Demons, interesting name."

She flips the page over and it's a drawing of the flashlight bomb with notes on how to make a big explosion. "'Need more negative energy'," she read. "I didn't know these Demons were Buddhists." She looks over to the wall and sees a glowing sword mounted. She approaches the glowing sword and carefully runs her hand over the tilt but is mindful to not touch the glowing blade.

"Negative energy..." she repeated... "is this what they were referring to?" She turns back to the map with the attack sites and notes something odd. F.E.A.S.T. Shelter, the NYPD, and Kraven's Hideout were all marked with a green X. "What do these mean? Are these attack sites as well?"

She checks the map. "Huh, none of the red circles line up with the Demon outposts and I have no idea what the Demons want with F.E.A.S.T. and the NYPD. As for Kraven's hideout... are they planning to bomb him?" She runs her claw over the map. "What are you trying to tell me, glowing guy? Are you going to bomb F.E.A.S.T., the NYPD, and Kraven's hideout at the same time?" Her eyes widened. "Wait a second." The places that have been Xed out with a green marker have a red circle around them just like the other places. "Oh, so this a checklist. There are six places circled in red but only three crossed out with a green X, which means that the Demons..." She gasps. She quickly snaps a photo of the map and tucks it back into the drawer before her sensitive ears pick up on something.

What was that, it sounded like the ticking of a clock.

Without waiting for another second, Black Cat leaps for the ceiling as the floor lit up a glowing hue. She was dangling by her claws and she quickly crawled over to an air vent, scratched it open with her claws, and crawled through. As she crawled through the vents, the glowing room sent off electrical sparks that zapped the whole floor and set the desk, shelves, and filing cabinets on fire.

"Aah, a booby-trapped room, such a delight." She crawls through the air ducts before she comes across another grate and she cuts her way through. When she falls to the ground, she lands on a Demon who had been standing guard. He fell to the ground and she knocked him out with her baton.

A Demon standing behind the motionless Demon had his back turned to Black Cat but as soon as he heard the thud behind him, he turned around.

Black Cat smacks the baton across his face twice and he falls to the ground motionless. Unfortunately, he had a pistol on him that discharged when he fired on reflex.

"What's going on back there?!" a Demon's voice called out.

The pitter-patter of feet coming her way made her decide that now was the time to get out of there.

Kraven's Hideout

When the fire department finally arrived, Kraven didn't know what to say when he saw his hideout burned down. A swarm of civilians crowded the sidewalk he was standing on, taking pictures of the burning building. Kraven growls and clenches his fists upon seeing the trophies inside turning to ash before his very eyes. He is gone for thirty minutes and this happens? He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and slowly unclenches his fists.

Getting angry right now would not solve anything, not while he had only three blood vials on him. No, he needed to savor the blood vials for when it was necessary to use them.

"Hey hey," a civvie holding a camera filming the burning building approached Kraven, "nice gun show, man. Care to tell me your workout routine?"

"I hunt," Kraven admitted.

"Hey hey, very vague of you, care to elaborate."

"I hunt... as a hunter."

The civvie laughed. "You have the biggest sense of humor I have ever known my friend. Sure, there are all the comedians who make good commentary in funny ways but they're all bone dry. But not you, your bones look anything but dry."

"They will be drying up very soon, though."

"Oh, and why's that, big guy?"

Kraven looks at the civvie. "I have cancer, terminal cancer. And it's inoperable."

"Ohh," the civvie's joyful look gave away, "I'm sorry, man. Hey hey, is it lung cancer? Throat, liver, brain?"

"It's a cancer unique only to me. It's a cancer that gets stronger every time I get stronger."

"Oh man, like a double-edged sword."

"Very much so."

"What are you going to do?"

"First, I'm going to figure out why you're asking so many questions and then, I'm going to get busy hunting. A lot of trophies burned down in that building and I intend to claim the ultimate prize."

"And what would that be?"

"The Spider."

The civvie laughed. "Hey hey, spiders are squishable but if you're into that stuff, fine by me. By the way, if we're lucky, we may see Spider-Man swinging this way."

Kraven's face darkened. "I certainly hope so."

"He's a real one, that spider. After all, he gives people hope. If someone was trapped in that burning building, he would save them like this." He snaps his fingers.

Kraven looks back at the fire. "I have seen what Spider-Man is capable of and I must admit that I see why people love him. I have seen him in the flesh with my own eyes and he is truly an amazing creature. For a man to wield such power... he is the ultimate predator." He puts a hand on his chest. "Why is it that one only lives their life when they are near death?"

The civvie patted him on the shoulder. "Hey hey, don't worry, man. I'm sure they'll come up with a cure for cancer soon. Who knows, maybe you'll get better before you know it."

"I doubt that." Kraven looks at the civvie. "You are very easy to talk to."

The civvie chuckled. "Uh, thank you. I've been called an introvert my entire life and even though I'm trying to come out of my shell, I still listen well."

Kraven looked the civvie in the eye. "Here's a piece of advice for you. If you're nearing the end of your life... don't change. When you reach the end of your lifespan, you may wish to do good but by trying to purposely be good, you forget who you truly are. You may be a good person at heart but be a good person at heart because that is your default function, not because you're on your deathbed. Don't let your impending doom dictate who you are in the end."

The civvie nods. "Thank you, those were some very philosophical words, mister. I salute you and your speeches."

Hidden in the crowd was Eddie Brock, who standing in the crowd, moving around to get pictures of the fire before he stumbled upon Kraven the Hunter talking to a civilian. Making sure the flash is off, he takes a picture of Kraven and has a piece of the symbiote leap off and attach itself to the back of Kraven's boots. He continued to take pictures of the fire while keeping a watchful eye on the hunter.

"How easy it would be to eat him right now."

Eddie smirks. "Not today, Venom," he whispers to himself, "not today."

With Silk

When humans were alone, that is when they showed their true character. In public, every single person - not just amoral people - puts on a mask. There is only so much the human mind can comprehend and at the same time, only so much the human mind would be willing to offer. Fears existing keep humans from living but at the same time, keep them alive. One fears the dark because there may be something scary in it. While it may sound like being scared over nothing, especially since the chances of there being something dangerous hiding in the dark are low, there is still reason to fear the dark because one may never know if the dark corner of the room is completely safe. There could be knives planted on the floor, a bomb, or even giant jumping spiders. Or even wormholes that open dimensions to different worlds.

If spider-people can exist then monsters hiding in the dark can exist. But it's not just monsters that humans fear.

Silk squeezed her eyes shut and winced. She sat on the ledge of a skyscraper and gripped her hair hard.

"Am I useless?" Cindy sobbed, "Venom can heal and impersonate people... Black Cat is good at sneaking and using her bad luck powers. And David is the smartest guy I know. What about me?" She quietly sobs and tears roll down her cheeks. "I'm fast but what else can I do?" She lowers her head and a tear lands on her knee.

"Why am I so useless?" she sobbed once more but this time, there was no silence as she choked up and let all her tears spill out.

The Next Day

NYPD

"Tall and slender, laying all alone on a prairie... her hair was like the sunshine. Day by day, he gazed upon her -"

"Whatcha doing there," Anderson interrupted Yuri 2 as she sat in her cubicle reading a book.

"Reading poetry," Yuri 2 answered.

"Didn't know someone like you read poetry."

"Obviously, you're too small-minded to appreciate the true art of poetry." She rests the book down and sighs. "What is it, Asshole Anderson?"

"A background check on the guns came back."

Yuri 2 looked up. "What?"

"The warehouse with the shipping containers from last night, we had our forensics guys do a sweep on everything. They were able to obtain information on where these guns came from."

Yuri 2 stands up. "You're joking."

"No, not this time. Apparently, these guns were all made by independent gunmakers. There were substances and residues not found in any legal gunshops that make guns but we found a source that leads them all to one warehouse. We're getting a warrant to search the place as we speak right now.

Yuri 2 gasped silently. "I see." She smiles. "Well, it looks like the gangsters weren't too smart in leaving a trail behind the police can track." She rubs her chin. "With an operation like this... we can strike a fatal blow to the rogue gangsters in no time." Her smile widens. "Yes."

"I'm going to call our SWAT unit and give them a heads-up."

"Yeah, you do that but don't do anything until I give the word."

"Roger that, captain." He pauses and looks at the back of her skull as she resumes her reading. "Hey, captain?"

"What's up, Anderson?"

"Do you remember that police ball that's coming up?"

"How could I forget?"

Anderson bites his lower lip. "Do you remember what I said to you in the car when we went to arrest Gregg Grace?"

Yuri 2's eyes widened. With her back turned to Anderson, she stays focused on the poetry book before her. "I forget."

He scoffs. "Whatever."

"I'm going up to the roof."

Yuri 2 gets out of her chair and exits her cubicle. As Anderson was walking away, he stopped and turned around. He went back to Yuri 2's vacant cubicle and noticed the zippo left behind. He takes the zippo and snaps it open before lighting a flame. He narrows his eyes before shutting the zippo and taking it with him back to his cubicle.

Yuri 2 makes it to the rooftop where she pulls out her cell phone. As she was about to make a phone call...

"Hey there, hi there, ho there."

Yuri 2 jumps and snaps her head back to see Spidey standing in the center of the room, looking at her.

"S-Spider-Man?" Yuri 2 gasped.

"Yep, that's me," Spidey replied with a casual nod of the head.

Yuri 2 inhales softly before blinking twice. "What are you doing up here?"

"Oh you know, the usual, just taking a stroll, saw a very beautiful Asian woman and decided to make myself available." He pauses. "Silk was busy so I decided to settle with you."

Yuri 2 laughs. "Funny."

"So... anything interesting happen lately?"

She tilts her head. "Any specifics in mind, Spider-Man?"

"Oh you know, things connected to those rogue gangsters that showed up these past few days; the usual. If I remember correctly, a warehouse with shipping containers containing guns was raided by the police. And I imagine that the police managed to find a crack in the evidence obtained from the shipping containers."

Yuri 2's jaw drops slightly before she picks it up and turns away. She ground her teeth together before looking down at the ground. She rests her forearms on the railing and clutches her cell phone tightly in her hands. A small smile tugs on her face.

"Yes, indeed," she said happily, "we did find a crack in the case. In fact, I'm pretty sure we found out where the gangsters obtained their guns." She turns around. "Get this, the gangsters, they are making their own firearms and ammunition and we found residue and substances to prove it. We even got a location."

"Nice, where?"

"Not yet, Spider. I will give you a location but I need to make sure of something. Come back here on this roof in five hours and you should have your information."

"What?" Spidey asks slyly, "Come on, Yuri, I know you're not trying to hold out on me, are ya? And here I am, thinking we were penpals for life."

"There are certain risks I'm not willing to take just yet. But I will have an address for you."

Spidey lets his head hang limp. "Alright." He holds his hands out dramatically. "I admit defeat; I'll swing away and make sure citizens are cozy and comfy and not being mugged by high school dropouts."

"That sounds like a great idea."

Spidey leaps out of there, leaving Yuri 2 behind where she can finally make a phone call.

"Mr. Li," Yuri 2 spoke up.

"Chameleon, what is going on?"

Yuri 2 smiles. "I've gotten some very juicy information that could benefit us. It seems like Yuri Watanabe and Spider-Man were working together. Wow, the police captain working with a killer."

"Corruption," Martin's voice came back booming.

"And get this, you know that firearms warehouse? Well, apparently, the police already found a source to where we're having our guns made. And since I'm playing as Captain Watanabe, I can control the police. But... I'm sure we could do better. As long as I'm wearing Yuri's face, I control the police but for SWAT... that's a different story."

Martin sighs loudly. "What's on your mind?"

"We could set up an ambush and take out two birds with one stone. I told Spidey about our gun factory."

Martin growls on the other end.

"And I told him to wait before doing anything; I didn't give him an address or anything. We could use that to set up an ambush."

Martin goes silent on the other end. "Yes, I like your thinking, Chameleon. We can set up an ambush and have Spider-Man go to the warehouse."

"And the SWAT team. If the SWAT team gets killed, then we can steal their resources."

"I thought you didn't like innocent people getting killed."

"Cops aren't innocent."

"True. Oh yeah, and what's going on with your brother? Why did his building burn down?"

"I have no idea. But I'll talk to him before sunset and maybe he can kill Spider-Man in our gun factory."

"I will see to it; I will be heading there myself."

"Good to know."

Martin sighs once more. "Alright then, Chameleon, get back to work. Once we're all ready, tell Spidey the location of our gun factory and send SWAT there. My Demons will take care of SWAT and Kraven and I will deal with the Spider. After this, we can begin Operation J and Operation P."

"Good," Yuri 2 smiles smugly once more, "I'm excited to play their roles." She hangs up.

Spidey perches on the top of an antenna. He looks in the direction of the NYPD five blocks away.

Why was Yuri's heart beating so fast? What was she nervous about? And why did she decide to withhold information from me?
