"What are you thinking about tough guy?", Chris approaches Leon on the waiting bench he's sitting on and the other man glanced up at him quickly, almost like flinching, "You seem to be so deep in your head...wanna talk about it?", he extends his right arm with hands open to assist Leon to stand and also handshake. The younger man stares at him for seconds before becoming fully aware of his surroundings again, he gladly accepts Chris' offer and grabs his hand rather aggressively, like they always do, "I do want to talk it out with someone, get it off my chest...but I don't think you're the right person for that."

Leon frowns, the big man crosses his arm and raises his eyebrow at him, "Why? Is it because you're thinking about my sister?", he guessed rather accurately as if reading Kennedy's mind.

"I don't think we should be discussing personal stuff here, remember you called me in for field work?", he placed his hands in his pocket, dismissing the idea Redfield had, but Chris just lowered his head, smiling and laughing quietly while shaking his head. Leon thought the man was going crazy but he soon broke from the act and gazed at him, "About that- I lied about the "field work", I actually just called you to talk."

Leon raises his eyebrows, also widening his eyes, "What you mean is- discuss about the plan then?", he gestures his hand in a way to describe it.

"No, I mean just- a heart to heart talk since we're basically friends, and you look like you really need it.", he grinned.

Leon was confused, "And- out of all places, you called me to The H.W.S headquarters?"

"I don't see anything wrong with that, plus me and my team practically act like ourselves out here- and wouldn't it be more suspicious if I asked you out for dinner like you always do?", Chris shrugs his shoulders.

Leon stared at him silently, "I would actually like that more, and it would be more reasonable."

"So, you want to talk or not?", Chris waits for an answer while Leon thinks about it, he strokes his chin stubble with his two fingers, "Fine.", he nods and Redfield also bobbed his head before he sits down on the bench that he had just helped Leon stood up from, Kennedy scratched his head and sits across his friend. They both sit widely, taking up that male dominant energy before Chris goes into a position where he rests his right foot on his left thigh, while Leon leans forward in a hunched manner.

"I don't know what to tell you Chris, this was so sudden.", Leon admitted, turning his head to the man older than him. Chris stared at his eyes though, "Well- you did admit that you were thinking about Claire...so we can start from that."

Leon deniably shakes his head, although it was true, "I never said that I did."

"Silence means yes though- doesn't it?", the big man twitched in his seat, getting comfortable in his position.

The younger friend sighs, closing his eyes as well as leaning his head down defeated, he is thinking of Claire, and it has been an unhealthy habit of every moment that he is not with her, to the point of spacing out in the middle of a conversation, a presentation or a report. The only time that he can seem to control himself and be present-minded is when he's in field work, a battle, "Fine- I admit it, I am...thinking about-her. But since when did you get so intuitive?", he opens his eyes and gazes at the man.

"Since forever- but don't change the topic...why are you thinking about my sister?", he asks again, now not moving his seat.

But Leon on the other hand already feels uneasy, like he did a crime, "Why do I feel like you're interrogating me though?", he challenged Chris.

"I'm- not Leon, I'm just simply asking I swear, you're so intimidated...at least chill for once. and you know me, I always talk like this.", Chris shakes his head, defusing his friend's negative thoughts. Leon hangs his head again, closing his eyes, now Chris feels guilty, he must've been too harsh on the man so he breaks from his post and extends his right arm to pat his friend on the back, comforting him, "I'm sorry brother...was I too direct? I'll stop if you really don't want to- it's fine. I'll dismiss you now.", the bigger man sighs, "I'll give you a call again when you're really needed.", he was about to stand up but before he could budge, Leon finally spoke up.

Not just a common you say everyday but a secret, "I...", catching this, Chris looks back at him, now mirroring Leon's pose, "I love Claire.", he exhales heavily, like a big weight was taken off his shoulders, he was finally able to say it out of his mouth to a person who is- aware, also not just some random person but her brother, he doesn't know if it was a bad idea or not but what's important to him now is that it's not a self-burden anymore. That being said, Redfield was dumbfounded, Leon, the man who had told him before several times that he can't love anyone other than Ada, had just admitted to him that he loves his sister, "Wait- you love...her? My sister?", he asked, not believing it yet.

"That's what you heard, and I don't know how you will take it but that's the talk you've been wanting to get out from me.", he fidgets on his fingers, sniffing a bit, he didn't care anymore on what the other man will say, but it took Chris a while to talk again, "I- don't know what to say actually...although you're not the first guy to admit to me that he loves my sister.", he shakes his head, "It's just really different in the way that you said it."

The younger agent glanced at Chris' direction but couldn't look him straight in the eye, only on the floor, "Is it- a bad kind of different or...", he was cut off. "No, not anywhere near it...you actually sounded- sincere for once. But how long have you been feeling this? Does she know?", he asks curiously. Leon then starts to uncontrollably shake his leg, giving away the fact that he was actually nervous, "I don't know as well Chris, I just started feeling more towards her as we reconciled further...and she doesn't know-yet."

"Look Leon, I'm not trying to judge you here but- are you sure that you...love her for who she is and not just because- you feel obligated to be with her just because of the guilt that you got her pregnant?", Chris explains, he didn't mean anything grim out of it, as an older brother, he just wants to protect his little sister from a possible future heartbreak, knowing damn well that Leon isn't entirely committed.

"I- will admit that I do feel somewhat guilty- for what I did to her up until now...but it's not just the guilt Chris. It's also the emotion I'm feeling- I care about her now, not just because of the triplets, but her.", Leon then leans back and looks directly up at the ceiling of the building, swallowing the lump in his throat, still shaking his leg, "But I get it if you doubt me, I'm a flirt- it's totally understandable."

Chris stares at him as Leon places his head in a more natural position, now sitting straightly on the bench, "I never said you are Leon, but as an older brother- or just a brother in general, it's my duty to make sure my sister won't be put in a bad position. That's what I've been advising her ever since she admitted to me that she had feelings for you.", hearing this, the blonde man focuses his eyes on the other, "That's right, I knew all along and you can blame me why she hid it from you, but it was also her decision- I didn't force her to suppress it. She knew you had another girl.", Leon looked down once again, "And over the years, she tried to forget, find love from other men, hopeful that she will have somebody else to replace her feelings for you. But the guilt of treating her previous partners as rebounds was too much for her empathetic nature, so she breaks up with them eventually...I've seen Claire struggle- so I just want you to know that- if ever you decide to confess to her, make sure you're certain. Or else, you'll be fighting me in the end.", Chris warned him, glaring intimidatingly at him but expressions softening after such a talk before patting his big hand at Leon shoulder like he did earlier, "I apologize if I sounded subdue to you but I'm a brother Leon. And I'm sure that if you had a sister- you would do the same...but you have my support. By the way, you're dismissed pal.", Chris nudged Leon's bicep again before heavily standing up and walk away, but before he could step any further, he turned back, ears perking up as he is called by a voice, "Chris, I understand...thank you for taking the time to share and talk down with me- I didn't know I needed it.", he stood up as well, approaching the man's back as the taller man turns his body to face him and unexpectedly embraced him into a hug. Leon was appalled for a second before patting the man's back as well and he broke the act.

"You Redfields sure do like to be physical don't you?", Leon joked insensitively and Chris punched his peck lightly and both guys laughed. "It's our love language...so prepare when your kids learn to embrace.", Kennedy giggles a bit at the remark, "I will."

"And as the uncle, I'll be bracing myself from those little Kennedy kicks as well.", Chris adds, "Cause it looks like Claire is already struggling from their movements and they're not even here yet.", the soon to be father nods his head embarrassed, "And by the way, I recalled..no actually- I'll just contact Claire instead, but are you available next weekend? I'll be needing you and her here.", curious as to what Chris is planning, he asked, "Sure, I'll be there...and I'll pick up Claire as well if she's okay with it. But what is it about though?"

But Chris left him hanging and just winked at him, "You'll see Kennedy...and once again, you're dismissed.", he says as he turns back and walks to another room, leaving Leon standing there all alone, "Redfields.", he sighs before exiting the premises.
