Hi Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters, chapters which I am more than ready to write for you; after all, I do have a couple storylines planned for you today. Yes, I know that I said that I don't really plan where I want to take my story, and that's the truth; I just give a general outline of what I think I want to write. But, if something else happens in a chapter that leads me to somewhere else, then I promise to explore that storyline to the best of my abilities; while also trying to tie it back to the original plotline I hoped to follow. Now, I am going to just dive back in and get right to where we were. Enjoy my dear readers.

Chapter Seven

"Now, I want to hear about your wedding." -Christie Casey Jordan

Yes, Christie uses a double surname; something she does at the request of her husband, as he's old fashioned. He's old fashioned in that he likes that his wife should take his last name when they get married. And she can't complain, as she actually likes her married name; just like how Matt loves that Alex took his last name. Though, that seems to be the only place where Matt and Jim (Christie's husband) seem to find common ground; other than that, Matt has never been the biggest fan of his brother-in-law. Though, he's put up with him for the simple fact that Christie loves him, and he's the father of his niece Violet; his goddaughter, he thinks. He forgets whether she's his goddaughter, but he can only assume that she is due to the fact that he doesn't remember the baptism much. And if there was one, then he would've been there; but, that doesn't matter anymore due to the fact that she's in her pre-teen years and her parents are healthy. Rather, what matters is the topic at hand: Christie wants to know about their wedding in Las Vegas, right now.

And that's precisely what she's pestering Alex about, so that they can talk about it. "Ok, I want to hear all the details. Let me know what happened as if I was there." Alex laughed as she heard Christie say that, while also watching as her loving husband made his way back into the living room shortly after doing the dishes for them. "You finish the dishes after lunch?" Matt agreed with his wife, as he most certainly did. "Yeah, I did. Don't worry about it, we can just talk to my sister right now." Alex agreed with her husband, not that she was really worried about it. "Oh, I'm not worried about it at all. And I'm more than ready to share the details of our amazing wedding that we had in Las Vegas." Christie agreed with Alex, while also watching as her brother gave her some water. "Here, make sure you stay hydrated here in California." Christie agreed with her brother, appreciating him bringing her some water. "Thanks Matt." Matt agreed with his sister and smiled. "Hey, always looking out for you." Christie snickered as she heard Matt say that.

After all, he does a lot more than just look out for her; especially when it comes to her marriage. "Oh, you always do much more than that Matt and don't lie about it; we both know that you're just waiting for Jim to screw up so that you can tell me to divorce him." Moving to sit down with Alex once he was done giving his sister some water, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around his wife and took a sip of water. "Yeah, I don't think I'm going to be doing that for a while when I'm more interested in concentrating on something else." Alex smiled as she heard her husband say that, before turning her head. "I think you mean, someone else." Matt smirked, nodding as that's precisely what he means. Of course, he means someone else; and that person would be his gorgeous (ex) lingerie model wife. Though, to him, she'll always be a lingerie model; especially when she walks around in the sexy lingerie that she always wears for him when she wants to get all hot and sexy with him. And damn, does that really turn him on. It's always what he wants.

She's always what he wants day and night, though he needs to calm down at the moment due to the fact that they're in the living room with her sister; and the last thing she wants to see, is her brother getting excited (down there) over the idea of him getting his wife in bed. And so far, he's been able to make sure that he stays calm (down there) to ensure that things don't get awkward between the three of them; though, he does need to stop thinking about it before it happens. Rather, he just needs to concentrate on something else which they're talking about together right now. And that would be their wedding. And even that might be too nice of a word for what they did in Las Vegas, which was more like an elopement. They just went to the chapel and got married, though that doesn't mean that he doesn't LOVE the fact that he and Alex are married, because he loves that fact more than anything in the entire world; he just knows that it's not going to be their only wedding. Someday, he's going to give Alex a real wedding, like she deserves.

His wife deserves the world, which he plans on giving her each and every day for the rest of their lives. "Ok. So, let me guess the officiant. Are we talking Elvis?" Matt laughed. "Oh, hell no. I was not doing an Elvis wedding. We just went to a normal chapel and got married." Alex smirked. "Actually, it was that drive-thru wedding chapel." Christie agreed with her sister-in-law as she said that, well aware of which one she was talking about. "Me and Jim went there on our fifth." Matt agreed with Christie as she said that. "You guys going to renew your vows anytime soon? Because I think it's time you and Jim do that considering what he did to you last year." Christie sighed when Matt said that. "You're going to hold that over him for a while, aren't you?" Matt looked at his sister. "Christie, he cheated on you!" Turning her head, Alex looked at her husband. "Hey husband." Turning his head, Matt looked at Alex. "First of all, I was in an unhappy engagement; and two, they're married, I was engaged. That's much different. Marriage has vows."

Alex agreed with her husband, as that was the truth. "Yeah, I guess I can't blame you there." Matt smirked, well aware that was the case as he pressed his lips to Alex's forehead. "And last time I checked, had I not cheated with you then you wouldn't be here; as my beautiful wife…" Getting closer, Matt finished his sentence in a whispered tone. "…who I want later." Alex blushed as she heard Matt say that, well aware that he wants her later; especially since she wants him too. She wants to have him all over her, taking things nice and slow with her in the comfort of their bed as they try to start a family. It's something she's dedicated to now and very happy about. Though, they still need to talk to his sister about some things first; including why they decided to get married in Vegas. "So, listen. I am not mad at all that I wasn't at your wedding. Disappointed, yes; mad, not at all." Matt agreed with his sister. "I guess, I just want to know what led up to the wedding." Turning her head, Alex smiled. "It was your idea babe; you want to tell your sister the reason?"

Matt smiled, as he's more than ready to tell Christie why they decided to elope in Las Vegas. "I just felt like it was time that I made her the official woman on my arm, and not just by the way of an engagement. I wanted to show Alex that she's my forever, and that I'm done playing with her heart. When I took her back this time, I wanted her to know that this is forever and that she never has to fear me leaving her ever again." Christie smiled as she heard her brother say that, as she couldn't help but feel happy for the both of them. I mean, that just sounds perfect, and she can just see how truly happy the both of them are over the fact that they're married. "So, this is forever." Alex agreed with Christie. "Get used to seeing me outside the office, because I'm not going anywhere. So much so, that we didn't even sign a prenup." Christie looked at her brother when she heard that. "You hypocrite!" Alex was confused when she heard her sister-in-law say that, unsure of what she was talking about. "Sorry, what's going on here? I'm lost." Christie looked at Matt.

After which, she explained why he was a hypocrite. "He made me, and Jim get a prenup before we got married; but you guys don't have to get one, before you get married?" Matt sighed as he looked at both Christie and Alex. "Ok. Listen, I get that I'm a hypocrite that way. But, it was last minute. What, do you expect me to just have a prenup already ready to go when we got married in Vegas on the fly? It was spontaneous Christie! I mean, do you really expect me to call my lawyer to draw up a prenup, which wouldn't be negotiated when I'm in a place where I want to just marry my wife, then take her somewhere?" Christie thought about it, while Matt continued. "Yeah, that was the last thing that was on my mind on the day I was going to marry my sexy, lingerie model wife. That was the last thing that was on my mind at the time. I mean, I'm a man!" Alex and Christie both looked at Matt when he said that. "What does you being a man, have anything to do with you not having the type to get a prenup signed ahead of the wedding?"

Matt groaned, as he was surprised that two gorgeous, brilliant women didn't get it; especially his wife, who knows precisely what they did the night before. How much fun they had the night before when he took her to bed. "Babe, do you really want me to say it out loud? Tell my sister how much FUN we had last night?" Alex then realized what her husband was trying to say, he was talking about what he wanted to do with her. "Yeah, that was what was on my mind at the time. I knew I was getting married, so I thought of what I needed to do so that I could get to the wedding night!" Christie and Alex both laughed when they heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case. "Plus, there's a lot of other things that I need to get set up before we can even make that agreement. A lot of conversations that we need to have, decisions that we need to make before we can talk about that." Christie and Alex were both confused when they heard Matt say that. "Ok, you better start talking Matt as we're both very confused at the moment."

When both his wife and sister told him that he needed to talk and explain everything, Matt sighed as he knew that was the truth. They deserved to know what he was talking about, especially his wife since they're partners in life. There's just a lot that he doesn't want to have to deal with yet, due to the fact that it's not the sexiest thing in the world to talk about right after you get married. In fact, he'd rather be concentrating on his sexy wife, rather than talk about this right now; but, he's in too deep now. And he doesn't just need to give his wife answers about this, as he also needs to give his sister some answers since she's going to be involved when it comes to some of the things he needs to set up. Trusts, etc. as he's going to want her to be part of that, part of the things that his wife may need to do should something happen to him; especially when they may have young children, heaven forbid something happen to him. After all, he is worth a lot of money and that comes with a lot of paperwork when it comes to things that he needs to decide.

He just hopes that the two of them understand. "Ok. Listen, I didn't want to get into all this business talk until the new year, especially now when we just got married; so, I'm sorry that this even came up Alex. I hope you can forgive me." Alex agreed with her husband as he asked her whether she can forgive him, as she most certainly can forgive him. "Babe, of course I can forgive you. I just want answers; especially when it seems like this is stressing you out." Matt sighed, agreeing with Alex as he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers; prior to kissing the back of her hand. "I'm sorry, but these are just the morbid talks that I'm not ready to have yet. But, it seems like we need to have them now." And just then, Alex and Christie both knew precisely what he was talking about. "Oh." Matt sighed as he looked down, before turning to look at his sister. "Christie, we both know that I'm the majority shareholder right now." Christie agreed with her brother, well aware that he (as the male heir) is the largest shareholder in the company.

And that's where this conversation is going, which led to Matt taking a breath. "I guess, what I need to know is whether Alex even wants to have the shares should something happen to me before we have kids." Turning his head, Matt looked at his wife. "Or, would she rather just not be involved in that anymore? Would she rather I give them to you? And then if we do have kids, how do we want to distribute them?" Alex agreed. "Do we want our eldest child to get all our shares when I die? Or, does she want to keep half the shares as my wife, then they get the other half? Or, do we want to distribute them equally among our children? What if we die before they turn 18? Who do we want to have take care of the business? Do we want to have a friend, or you take care of it Christie? Do we want to bring in an estate agent, do we want to bring in a conservator?" Alex nodded. "Those are all things I had to do in the past, conversations I had to have with Hallie before we got married." Christie sighed, well aware that was the case.

Meanwhile, Matt continued. "But now, I'm married, and things have changed. Alex is now the legal co-owner of all my shares, and we just need to know what happens should something happen; and then, we need to remember the by-laws if something happens to us. I don't want to think this way, but the company will force me to. Say something happens between us and we decide to go our separate ways, we need to make sure that the Casey company stays majority-owned by the family; so, what can she accept. I know, it sounds horrible when you start digesting these things. And I know that you aren't ready to have these talks, as we just got married and we need to have other conversations first; like the one about us actually having children and how many we want to have before we even think about what they'll inherit should something happen to me." Alex nodded, well aware that was the truth as she looked into Matt's eyes. "And I know that I said that I'd be honest with you when it comes to what I have on my mind."

Alex agreed with her husband, as that's precisely what he did promise her; but, he clearly needs to do other things at times. "But, I was just thinking about whether that was even something you wanted to talk about right now with us having just gotten married. We're supposed to be in happily married bliss, with us having just gotten married yesterday; so, the last thing I really want to talk about is this when we both know that we'd much rather just have the simple conversations. The happy conversations. The ones about us having a baby, about us being happy with each other and enjoying a long life with each other. Those are the conversations I want to have right now, rather than have to deal with all these morbid conversations that we may need to have in the future." Alex agreed with her husband and smiled as she felt the same way, as these are the last conversations that she wants to have with her new husband right now. She'd rather just concentrate on the start of their new marriage and how they're so happy with each other.

Happy to be married, and happy that they're finally an official couple. It's been a long time coming, which is precisely why they want to just enjoy this time with each other; time where Matt doesn't need to work, and he can just enjoy some time with his wife. "It's also one of the reasons we're here in California in the first place. So that we can just enjoy the start of our marriage in a neutral place, a place where we never have to hide our love for each other." Placing her hand on Matt's neck, Alex agreed with her husband once more before kissing him softly. "I absolutely love the sound of that, I hope you know that." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "And I love you." Alex smiled, really happy to be here with her husband as they just take it easy and just relax with each other. "However, we do need to talk to you about something Christie." Christie agreed with Matt. "And what might that be?" Matt sighed as he looked at his sister, while also letting go of Alex's hand and wrapping his arm around her as she cuddled up to him.

After which, he resumed his conversation with his sister as he needed to talk to her about something. "Well, it's about your future." Christie was confused when she heard her brother ask her that, as she didn't know what he was talking about. "Ok, what the hell are you talking about Matt? You aren't my husband, you're my brother and business partner. You have no say in my future." Matt sighed, well aware that was the case. "I'm talking about what you want to do when it comes to the family, and whether you are going to follow my lead?" Christie was still confused when Matt asked her that question, before just glaring at him; which led to Alex talking to Matt. "Babe, can you please not do this to us anymore? I love you, but I have to agree with Christie in her belief that you're leading her on just to make her mad. Please, just come out with what you need to ask her, so that you don't make her even angrier." Matt agreed with his wife, before doing just that. "Well, I want to know what you're going to do since we're moving here to California."

The moment Matt reminded her that he and Alex are moving to California, she understood exactly what he was talking about when he asked her what she wants to do when it comes to the family, and whether she wants to follow his lead. His lead being the one where he moved out of Chicago, and then moved to California where he's going to start fresh; though, she honestly doesn't know the answer to that question yet due to the fact that she would need to talk to her husband. "I know you're going to hate that I have to do this, but we both know that I need to talk to Jim and figure that out." Matt agreed with his sister, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, and I get that." Christie smiled. "Well, whatever you decide, I hope you know that you have my support." Christie agreed with her brother, as she knows that'll always be the case. "I know Matt, I know that I'll always have your support when it comes to those things. But, the truth is; I think that I want to stay in Chicago until the end of the school year at least, because of Violet." Matt agreed.

After all, that makes complete sense; plus, he actually expected that to be one of the answers to his question. "Well, I think that means that I need to ask you to do something else." Christie snickered when she heard her brother tell her that. "You mean, other than convince my husband to move to California so we can keep running the business together?" Matt laughed. "No, it's to make sure you take mom in if she's released. Not sure I can transfer her to California." Christie agreed, as that made sense. "Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe I can do that as a way to make up for me not believing you at first." Matt agreed, as he likes the sound of that. "I think that's a great way for you to make it up to me. However, you can also do something else." Christie smiled. "And what would that be?" Matt smiled. "Well, you can take care of the Chicago office for me in the New Year. Also, feel free to stay here until Christmas to get away from Jim. He and Violet can come here for Christmas." Christie laughed. "Yeah, I need to go back for the office."

Matt shrugged, well aware that was the case. "Hey, it was worth a shot; my way of showing you that you don't need Jim to be happy in life." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that, well aware that was the case, while Alex decided to look at her husband. "Ok, can you please stop that Matt? You're talking about that like it's an easy thing to do!" Turning his head, Matt was confused. "It is an easy thing to do, she just says that she's had enough." Alex looked at her husband. "Because that's so easy to do when you have children involved. Matt, I hate to say this…but you really need to apologize to your sister for overstepping. You're really making it sound very easy, when it's not easy. I know you babe. I know that you love Violet more than anything." Matt agreed, as he does love his niece more than anything, which led to Alex sitting up and turning to face her husband some more. She turned to face him, as she needed to speak to him frankly about just what he was doing right now; how he was talking to his sister right now.

And honestly, she doesn't like it. "Matt, you're talking to your sister in a way that I find disrespectful and unacceptable. And we both know that I call it like I see it when it comes to this." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "And in this moment, I feel like you're being very insensitive due to the fact that you're blinded by your hatred of your brother-in-law." Matt nodded. "Well, hatred may be a strong word. More like, strong dislike." Alex looked at her husband as he said that, as he knew for a fact that it was much more than just strong dislike, which is why he caved. "Fine, hatred." Alex nodded. "Exactly, you don't like the guy. And I get that you want what's best for your sister, and I love you for that; I really do Matt. But, you're just overlooking a huge part of the equation here. And that would be the niece you say that you love more than anything in the entire world." Matt sighed, well aware that was the case. "Matt, you're talking like this would be easy on her. We're talking about her parents splitting up like it's nothing."

Matt nodded. "Yes, you come from a broken home. And I get that you talking this way is due to the fact that you think it's easy. But, you knew that there were problems in the marriage, you could clearly see that not everything was right in between your mom and dad." Matt nodded once more, as that was the truth; while Alex turned her head and looked at Christie. "Christie, I hate to assume; but, I can only assume that Violet has no idea that you and Jim are having troubles again?" Christie agreed, as her daughter doesn't know anything about this. "She just thinks that I need to go on business more often since we're expanding, which means that they need me there at big meetings." Alex agreed with Christie. "Well, that's a good way for a little girl to see it. However, imagine being in her shoes Matt. She doesn't know what's going on with her parents, and you're just talking like that's an easy decision for them. Violet is in a hard time in life. She's hitting puberty, she's dealing with changes to her body that she doesn't understand."

Christie agreed with her sister-in-law, loving that there's another Casey woman here in the house who's playing devil's advocate; someone who will push back against her brother. "Matt, things are already going to be crazy. People know who she's related to. Her friends know that her mom is Christie Casey, an executive at her family company…and her grandmother, who killed her grandfather, just had a parole hearing, and got paroled. It was in the newspapers babe." Matt nodded, well aware that was the case. "Do you really think that's easy for her to take on? People know that her grandmother killed her grandfather, which makes her the granddaughter of convicted felon. And not just a felon, but the worst type of felon; a female murderer. Matt, there are very few female murderers, which just makes the fact that your mom got convicted and sent to jail even more public. This is going to be a hard time, and she's going to need both of her parents to get her through this. She's going to need them to protect her from the media."

Turning her head to look at Christie again, Alex sighed. "Have you considered taking her out of school for a while? Maybe homeschooling her so that she's just away from all of this? I know, I'm new to the family. But, just looking at this situation from the outside…" Sighing again. "Listen, I love you Matt, and I don't want to diminish how hard it was on you. How your mom went to jail so that she can protect you. That's a true demonstration of a mother's love and devotion to her child. And I commend her for that, as it was the right thing to do in the situation. However, we need to think about Violet now. And as her aunt, I can't just stand by and not speak up when I feel like you two are doing stuff that could affect her. You have to remember; she's growing up in a whole new world. You guys grew up in a time where there was barely any internet, and you got your news from paper." Matt and Christie both agreed, as they listened to Alex as she just gave them a piece of her mind, while also waking them up to Violet's reality right now.

The reality that her life is much different than theirs ever was. "Matt, there's smartphones, internet, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and everything now. You can look up trials on the internet, news stories from the time. That's all open for people to find. That's the reality for Violet now. She has to live knowing that her friends can just search up her grandmother…hell, her mother's name and find out who her grandmother is. What her grandmother did, how she's in jail, and why she went to jail. They can find out what type of grandfather she had." Matt and Christie both just felt horrible as they listened to what Alex said. "You guys didn't have to grow up with that. Yes, you had to deal with it first hand. But, for her to have to deal with that as your niece…when she wasn't even born when it happened. That's just a lot to deal with, and you need to think about what she needs right now. She needs both of her parents there to help her out, she needs her uncle to help her through this; she needs to be protected and just feel like she has someone to talk to."

Matt nodded as he agreed with his wife. "Matt, for your niece's sake, please cut it out and let her have her dad during this hard time. Let her have her father to lean on, someone who's a third party to this situation. Someone she doesn't need to feel like she needs to have her guard up against. I have no doubt in my mind that she's going to be scared to talk to Christie about it, since her mom might…I don't know what you might do Christie, as I need to get to know you better. But, she doesn't know all the details and she may be scared to talk to you because she doesn't want to hurt you. She doesn't want to hurt either of you because she loves you. And that's probably what she's dealing with right now. Not knowing whether she can talk to her own mother about this, just because she doesn't know whether it would hurt her or not. This may be fifteen years ago to you guys, but it's all new to her. And it's all happening during the times in her life where she's hitting puberty and everything." Christie agreed, clearly able to see that she was right.

Meanwhile, Alex took a breath. "And honestly, I don't know how you can be for her parents splitting up right now Matt! You know that they need to be a united front for Violet, rather than splitting up; which could create more headlines on top of everything that might go on. Right now, Violet needs you and Christie to just come together and find a way to help her get through this rather than be against it. You need to let her have her dad at home with her, and just let him be with Christie. Hell, what if Christie needs her husband to lean on during this time? Do you want to take that away from your sister? A man who she can talk to in the middle of the night, when she may need to talk to someone who can give her the same type of comfort that I give you?" Matt shuttered at the thought of that, as that was the last thing he wanted to think about. "Sorry, I know you don't like to think about that. But, it's just the truth Matt, and you need to realize that maybe Christie and Violet need Jim in their lives right now. Much more than you could ever think."

Having said her piece, Alex took a breath due to the fact that she felt like she overstepped again. So, she got up and walked away so that she could let her husband and his sister talk. "Babe…" Alex just looked at Matt. "You need to talk to your sister, do that; okay?" Matt agreed, well aware that he needs to do that. So, he was going to do just that; while Alex was going to go to their room and take it easy. After which, Matt turned his head and looked at his sister. "Did Alex basically tell me exactly how you feel right now?" Snickering, Christie agreed with her brother as she did. "Yeah, she pretty much did. That wife of yours is pretty mart Matt." Matt smiled, well aware that Alex is one smart cookie. "Yeah, she's pretty smart that way." Christie agreed with her brother. "And when I think about what I need, I really do think that I may in fact need that. I'm going to need Jim to lean on, me and Violet both are." Matt smiled, well aware that was the case. "I'm sorry that I've always been so hard on him." Christie smiled at her brother.

After all, was it so hard for him to say that. "Now, was it so hard for you to admit that you're sorry?" Matt snickered, was he hoped that you didn't get used to that. "Don't get used to that, we both know that my apologies when it comes to that are not always going to happen. There are times where I still wonder whether he's the right guy for you." Christie agreed. "And there were times where I wondered whether Hallie was the right on for you, but you didn't see me saying anything. I let you figure that one out by yourself. I gave you the space you needed to make sure that you got the right person in your life. And look where you are now…you're happily married to a woman you truly love and can be with for the rest of your life." Matt agreed with his sister, as that's precisely how he feels about Alex. "There's just something about her that let's me know that she's truly the one. The one that I can see myself loving for the rest of my life." Christie smiled as she heard her brother say that, as that's all she's ever wanted for him: for him to find happiness.

And that's precisely what he's found with Alex. "I'm so glad that you and Alex have finally got your act together, well you got your act together and picked the right woman. Everybody knew that you were miserable with her and we all knew it would never work. Hell, I was ready to wake you up and force Alex to sleep with you so that you can realize that." Matt laughed as he heard his sister say that, as that sounds like a lot of fun. "And I'm sure that I would've loved that based on how much fun we always have in bed with each other." Christie agreed with her brother as he said that, well aware that was the case. "And I can truly see just how happy she makes you Matt. You found someone special in Alex, and you need to remember that. You need to remember how much she changed your life, and how you guys are very happy with each other. You aren't going to want to let her go, and I already know that. Hell, she may be the only woman who will ever make you a father." Matt laughed, as that's something he can see happening as well. "Yeah, I know that."

Christie smiled. "We need a Casey heir Matt. If not, the last name dies with you; just think about that, there could no longer be a Casey in the world." Matt agreed with Christie as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know what you mean, and the idea of that actually scares me a bit. I want there to be another generation of Caseys that can carry on my last name." Christie smiled as she heard her brother say that, well aware that was what he wanted. "And, I promise, we'll make sure that Alex moves to design. I know that's something she wants to do. She wants to design." Matt agreed. "Honestly, I actually really like the idea of her designing instead of modelling." Christie smirked. "It's because then, you have her to yourself." Matt snickered. "You sound like Andy and Kelly now. But, it's actually so that she can take it easy and relax. She wants to get to a good weight to have a baby, and I like that idea. Her being all nice and healthy, so that we can have a nice little baby with each other." Christie agreed, well aware that he wants to be a dad.

If there's one thing Christie knows about her brother, it's how ready he is to be a dad. "Let me tell you this Matt, I can already see you being a great dad. And with you and Alex raising that kid together, I already know that they're going to be given a much better upbringing than either of us ever had." Matt agreed. "Yeah, one that doesn't involve nannies." Christie was surprised. "Really?" Matt nodded. "I want to be involved in my child's life. I want to be there for them, and I want to raise them. I want to be there for them, which may mean that we need to hire surrogates for us in the future." Christie agreed. "Or, I may need to travel more." Matt smiled. "I wasn't going to ask, but I would like that in the future. If you could travel more, should we either get pregnant or just have kids. I want to be here with Alex right now, as we start this new life with each other." Christie agreed with her brother, well aware that was the case, which is why she will gladly take on more trips if she's required to do so on behalf of the company.

It's something that she wants to do for her brother so that his dream can come true. "Matt, I want your dream to come true. I want you to have a chance to experience the joys of parenthood, just like me and Jim had when we were raising Violet. I want you to have that, and I don't want you to miss those important milestones. So, I will travel for you if you ever need me to travel for you. That's something you don't need to worry about, as I want to make sure that you have the best life possible with Alex. I can see how much you truly love her, and I can see that the both of you are very happy with each other. Now, you just need to make sure that you keep your marriage strong and in a place where you both can have kids." Matt smiled, agreeing with his sister as that's precisely what he needs to do. "I know, and I plan on doing just that due to the fact that I love my wife more than anything in the entire world. She's truly my world, and I am so proud to call her my wife." Getting up, Christie agreed with her brother and smiled at him.

After all, she could just tell that he was truly happy and was glad that this is his life. "I know you're happy, and that makes me happy. So, you just make sure you hold on to this happiness." Making her way over to Matt, Christie smiled as she watching him get up prior to hugging him; and she didn't just hug him for a moment, she held on for a moment as she wanted to show her brother just how truly happy she is for him. She's very happy, and she's glad that he's finally found the one for him. "Matt, you've found the one. Make sure that you don't screw this up, or you'll live to regret it. I can already promise you that." Matt agreed with his sister, well aware that was the case. "And you, don't give up on happiness. If you're miserable in your marriage, then don't stand for it. I know what Alex said, but you deserve to be happy. I know we're both scared after mom and dad's marriage failed, but it's okay to be happy." Christie agreed with her brother. "Yeah, I have other stuff to deal with that we can talk about later." Matt was confused. "Like?"

Christie sighed. "Apparently, there's a rumor out there that dad had an illegitimate child with another woman, which was the real reason why mom killed him; not just the rape, but that he also cheated on her and had a kid outside of their marriage." Matt was shocked when he heard Christie say that, as this is the first time that he's ever heard of this. "This is the first I'm hearing of this, and I mean that sis." Christie agreed with her brother, well aware that was the case; she knew that this is the first he was hearing of it, as she was the one that was supposed to tell him. "I know, I should've said it earlier; but, I was just so happy for you and Alex." Matt agreed with Christie as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I get that, and we can figure this out; right?" Christie agreed. "Listen, how about you concentrate on being happy with Alex? Start off your new life together with a bunch of happy time. Let me talk to other people and see whether there's any truth to this stuff." Matt agreed, as he'd appreciate that.

He'd appreciate it if his sister did that for him, as it's the last thing he wants to deal with right now. "Thanks Christie." Christie agreed with her brother and smiled as she proceeded to hug him once more. "Congratulations again." Matt nodded and smiled as he turned around to make his way to bed, where he would take it easy with Alex; though, he still couldn't get that idea out of his head. The idea that they may have a half-sibling. And that's not something he's ready to think about, though he will mention it to Alex; he has to.
