3rd Person (P.O.V)
Cassie was beyond annoyed she wanted to kill Luna and was absolutely regretting letting her convince her to attend high school. Although they were in the same grade as seniors, they had different classes, and she was the on agitated with all the sterile she was receiving.
Cassie honestly felt like Hogwarts all over again as apparently small towns rarely get new students which in the last couple of years has been an ongoing occurrence getting eight new students in the last three years. She honestly just wanted to go home and barricade herself in her room.
She's always known she wasn't normal going into the magical world it only enhanced it as she got older. Cassie became a child soldier, a champion, a war veteran, the Master of the deathly hallows forever immortal, a mother, a businesswoman, lady of a few houses.
To top it off she has two mates one being a shapeshifting wolf and a vampire according to Luna. Cassie sighed tiredly wondering if fate will ever leave her alone to live in peace as she seems to be it's favorite chew toy. Taking in a deep breath getting rid of any thought she entered her first class of the day.
She walked over to her history teacher and introduced herself getting her slip signed. There was still a bit of time before class started and she made her way to the back of the classroom.
Once Cassie took her seat, she was taking out her notebook and pen when she overheard a conversation in front of her.
"Did you see Bella's ring, I heard she's engaged and getting married after graduation to Edward". A curly hair brunette said to a blonde student.
"Honestly, I don't know what Edward sees in Bella". The blonde girl said rolling her eyes.
"Well it's going to be the talk of the town once they set a date Lauren". The curly haired brunette said.
"Come on Jessica you don't even like Bella. You complained for weeks since she arrived in town, how she was able to capture the Cullen's attention". Lauren says as Jessica rolled her eyes.
Cassie sighed putting her bag behind her chair as she had a feeling that two girls in front of her were the gossip queens of the school. The bell rang a few minutes later all the students rushing into the class as she was looking through her new history book she didn't notice someone sitting next to her.
Jasper Hale walked into his history class surprise to see one of the new girl's sitting at the table he usually did. As he got closer he could feel the anxiousness and annoyance radiating off of her. When he sat down she didn't look up, he took in her scent freezing as he didn't have the burning sensation in his throat he usually did when around humans.
"Alright class before we begin I would like our new student to introduce herself". Mr Jones said which automatically made everyone turn their head to the back of the classroom.
Cassie was startled as the whispers begun, which made her uncomfortable as she slowly got up from her seat. "I'm Cassiopia Potter-Black". She said before immediately sitting down burying her head into her book.
"Welcome to Forks". A strange accent said from beside her, which made her jump as she hadn't realize someone was sitting next to her.
"Ahh Thank you, I'm Cassie". Cassie said as she noticed the boy sitting next to her had chin length curly hair and golden eyes. She remembered briefly's seeing him next to her mate. She immediately realize he was also a Vampire.
"I'm Jasper Hale". Jasper whispered, offering her a smile. They could hear a few whispers around them as people kept glancing at their desk.
Class was interesting to say the least as it seems gossip ran strong through small towns. It was a good thing Cassie was used to it as it didn't affect her anymore. She found Jasper to be a nice guy who seems from her observation had a bit of a tough time around other humans.
She said her goodbye to Jasper as she exited the classroom and looked at her map to find her next class. She didn't notice where she was going until she bumped into someone nearly falling on her arse. She managed to keep her balance as she looked up to apologize and was met with Cedric's replica.
"I'm so sorry I didn't notice where I was going". Cassie said laughing as her schedule fell out of her hand.
"It was my fault I'm Edward Cullen". Edward said smiling as he intentionally bumped into his mate as he was on his way to pick up Bella in class and the thought alone made him grimace.
"I'm Cassiopeia...". Cassie was saying before her posture stiffen, smile vanishing as a few things clicked in her mind as her Vampire mate appear to be engage to Bella Swan. "It's nice meeting you I better go Bella's probably waiting for you". Cassie said as she walked past Edward.
Edward looked confused before his eyes widen as Jessica and Lauren came out of the history class. He ran his fingers through his hair wanting to knock his head into a wall for all the mistakes he has done in the past year.
He just hope his stupidity didn't cost him his mate. He couldn't read Cassie's mind nor Luna's who he had a class with. Edward knew half the student population knew of his engagement to Bella he just had hope he had a little bit of time before his mate found out but it was unfortunate her first class of the day happened to be with two of the biggest gossips in school.
Cassie spend the rest of her day avoiding Edward and Bella. She was unlucky to have a couple of classes with Bella, who did nothing but glare at her and gossip about her with her friends.
She was the unhappy when the final bell rang and she dragged Luna out of the school and towards her car. Without glancing back, she pulled out of the school parking lot and headed towards the bookstore they decided to name the Griffin & Ravens Den Bookstore.
During the store's opening Cassie couldn't help but feel conflicted with herself. She knew Jacob would possibly be passing by but she sort of hope he didn't. She just had a lot going through her mind right now she never expected to have two mates or to find them in less than a day of each other.
Her main problem besides Edward's engagement was that according to Luna the Vampire's and the Wolf Shifters are enemies despite the Cullen's being a vegetarian and only feeding on.
The fate really had to throw her in the middle of a feud between Vampires and Shifters by giving her a mate from each side. She couldn't help but cursed herself for deciding to leave home the day prior.
Cassie shook her head just wanted to get home to her son. Putting her mate situation to the back of her mind, she put on a smile as she greeted some customers as Luna was giving some of their new employees instructions.
She was glad that while she was on the beach, Luna had apparently met with their store manager to train a few of the new employees. As she was walking through the store she saw the door opening to see Edward walking in with his sister Alice and Jasper.
Not wanting to deal with it at the moment, she headed to the back of the store hoping to keep busy.
