Right now I'm looking at my nail polish. Love it. And I publish this chapter 2 days after Christmas.

Enjoy reading !

"In your logic, seeing the person who destroyed you a few years ago in an empty bar in the middle of the week," he began with his eyes raised to the ceiling, "was the brilliant idea of the century to shake up your little student life.

3 weeks have passed since the beginning of the school year. Everything seemed to be going well. At least on the surface.

Natsu was looking through the window nearby, chewing his pencil. A cigarette wouldn't have been out of the question. But he had to wait. Waiting for the end of the damn geographic test. The young man had answered quickly. He was good at it.

His eyes turned to the left.

Lucy. Her again.

They had crossed paths a few times. Their eyes too. But the young blonde blushed each time and looked down at her own.

She had given him some papers last week. And he had felt the girl's body stretching. He knew her well enough to recognize her discomfort.

Two weeks ago, they had met in the same work group. And there he had found his Lucy again, the one who acted naturally with her vivacity and uncontrollable passion. The one he loved.

This simple thought made him feel very sad. She wasn't her anymore. Lucy hadn't left to come back the same. She had run away because she wasn't good. And Natsu had seen nothing. He couldn't help her.

In the end, he didn't know her as well as he thought.

The young man sighed. Lisanna was going to get mad at him again. She had been doing that since the return of the blonde. He had always found his girlfriend sticky, but now it was worse.

And there was a party in three days. Where everyone would go. Probably including the blonde.

His thoughts stopped when he saw Lucy flinch.

Shit.

She could feel his eyes.

It wasn't so unpleasant for the girl. She had always liked it when he stared at her.

Before, he would have added a compliment or a mark of tenderness to it.

Now, no words would come out. A real stone statue.

Lucy sniffed. She knew he was angry at her. The young man could only be right.

Let's imagine that the person you love disappears without a trace and only takes the effort, three weeks later, to break up with you with a simple message. You would feel bad about it, so admit it.

Isn't that enough? Well, add the fact that she blocks you on all her networks.

That should be enough now.

Her eyebrows frowned. She had to finish this test before she could daydream. It wasn't a very complicated set of questions. Multiple choice questions on China's economic growth. A simple subject.

But Natsu was disturbing her. So she breathed in. And breathed out. Her brain started to bubble. She answered the questionnaire with a sigh. Optimal concentration.

The young man smiled as she stood up to return the sheet. He knew she was disturbed by his stare. It wasn't his fault that she was the only interesting thing in the room.

Suddenly their eyes met. Intentionally on Lucy's part. She gave him a smile and he lost his.

"Stop staring at me," he read from her lips.

Natsu turned red.

Lucy intensified her smile.

He wanted to play? They would play.

She sat down and felt another look on her. Erza.

Her eyes were open like flying saucers. The redhead had followed the whole scene. A discreet exchange of words began.

Finally, not very discreet. But the teacher said nothing. The girls had already returned their sheets.

"What was that?" Erza noted.

The blonde frowned. She didn't like it when her friends tried to overprotect her.

"He'd been watching me for 10 minutes."

"I remind you that he has a girlfriend."

The blonde crumpled the paper and put it in her pocket. Erza was right. Lisanna and Natsu were dating.

Yet she couldn't believe that there was nothing left between them.

Even though she had tried to appear distant and cold so as not to upset the young man's balance, her body warmed up just by eye contact. So she acted in a way that she forgot about the other girl. She was acting to regain the feelings that had united them.

As if they had returned 4 months earlier.

Even though it seemed wrong. And impossible.

Erza leaned her head towards her friend. She had understood very well what was going on. Everyone knew that Natsu and Lucy would finally forgive each other completely and would inevitably get closer. It was almost written on their faces. But there was Lisanna. And yet, the ginger let it slip for this time. Because these two deserved to meet again.

In 2 months, 1 year, 4 centuries. It didn't matter.

The bell finally rang in the classroom.

Natsu felt disappointed. But he couldn't assume everything that had just happened.

The past, however, wanted to hold him back a little longer. He accidentally pushed the blonde's bag by passing her by.

Let us thank the past.

His brain did a trick on itself when he heard the pens falling to the ground. And the politeness wanted him to pick up the objects and give them to her with an apology.

Fuck.

So he did. The others pretended to look away. They knew that separating them would be a difficult choice, giving up in the first place was the best option.

A bubble formed around them. She sat down like a frog and he had one knee down. The young man apologized and a smile appeared in response.

In a few seconds, everything faded away. Grudge, anger, sadness. There was only their bubble. Their hearts were beating so fast it seemed like they wanted to merge. Natsu bit the inside of his cheek. His girlfriend had disappeared from his thoughts. He could only see the blonde. She was so beautiful in front of him. He wanted to reach out his hand to touch her cheek, feel her soft skin and the warmth that emanated from it. He wanted to let his thumb graze her red lips. His eyes did not want to separate from the chocolate-colored ones.

She was not pretty, no. Lucy was beautiful. Perfect.

So, they just stood there. Their breaths synchronized, their bodies warmed up as if honey had replaced the blood. It was pleasant.

And they knew that the other one liked it too.

Finally, one hand tapped Lucy's shoulder. Gadjeel. It was getting a little too intense. The student made her friend understand this. This was not the time to get together. And the young man was not confident in front of Natsu.

She got up without breaking eye contact.

- Thank you," she whispered.

And the next second, she evaporated through the door. Her presence could still be felt. He could see her silhouette, sitting in front of him. The pain was felt in the student's body, like a bandage being violently ripped off. She was gone again.

- You're welcome," he sighed with a sad smile.

Natsu left.

Her eyes stared at him. She felt different. And he was still daydreaming.

Lisanna inspected her boyfriend. Since their return home, he had not stopped staring at the ceiling, lying on his bed. She climbed astride his body.

- What are you thinking about, she laughed.

- Nothing, he stammered without paying attention to his girlfriend.

The young woman bent down and kissed him. On the mouth, temples and cheek. She attacked his neck. Natsu did not react. He sighed.

Lisanna then detached herself from him, upset. Her boyfriend had been reacting this way for a few days, giving her only little or no attention. She crossed her arms and her eyebrows frowned. The student coughed to attract his concentration. No reaction. She did it again.

Natsu then looked at her, grimace his curiosity. As he saw her, the young man knew he was going to have another hard time.

Fuck.

- Wouldn't you like to be a little more attentive, she pessimised.

He apologized with a sigh. Leaning his elbows on the mattress, he tilted her so that she was next to him. Lisanna pricked red as she felt him move away.

- Natsu, I don't know what's wrong with you but it's about time you woke up a little. I'm tired of having a leek with me.

- Excuse me, he mumbled. It's just that school and my class are driving me crazy.

The young woman felt her body burning with annoyance. The calculation was quickly made in her head.

School, class, people, friends, Lucy.

Again that grumpiness.

- Class or Lucy," she grumbled.

Natsu bit her cheek. Damn it. He had forgotten Lisanna's character.

- That's what I thought.

She got up from bed and put her shoes back on. Today, her mind didn't feel like fighting with the boy with pink hair.

- Lis, wait. I'm going to...

The student cut him down in her words.

- No, you're not going to do anything. I, however, am going to leave because there's no way you're going to hear an apology or talk about your ex right now.

Natsu closed her mouth. She turned to the door but didn't open it. Tears threatened to flow. He shouldn't have seen them.

- If you really loved me, there wouldn't be all these problems," she whispered.

- You know I don't want to hurt you, Lis.

She slammed the door and walked away. It's a good thing Dragneel's parents were still working late. Outside it was still warm. Autumn was shy. Lisanna cried silently. The streets were empty, she no longer had to hide. Her heart hated Lucy. The blonde had destroyed her boyfriend. She had been so selfish. And Lisanna hated her.

She was Natsu's happiness, the one who had given him back his time, the one who had loved him to death. And the other girl had ruined everything. Again. When she didn't deserve Natsu. She even destroyed him.

Lisanna felt hatred invade her, strangle her heart. Lucy's bitch. May she die, the blonde should never have come back. She should have died of sadness or even been kidnapped while she was running away. No one would have talked about her anymore. And Lisanna should have Natsu just for herself.

But life wanted it that way. The girl made a promise to herself. The two ex-lovers should never see each other again. She could take care of it.

Natsu was hers.

Happy Holidays :)
