Part II

X

Late Friday morning, Olivia stood in her bedroom, packing. She'd been able to leave her office at eleven and had immediately called Fitz. He was on his way to pick her up, so they could get on the road. She tossed a yellow string bikini into her weekender along with the barely there black crochet triangle bikini she'd recently purchased. If what happened the few times she'd swam at Fitz's home, happened in Chesapeake, she wouldn't be wearing either of them very long. She chuckled and shook her head, before she finished packing. They were both ready to get away from the city and relax.

Thursday morning had been a turning point in their relationship. They'd both laid it all out there, even though Olivia still hadn't told Fitz she loved him. But he knew. They had indeed spent the morning in bed talking and making love. Olivia had finally left for the office after lunch, while Fitz had returned to Great Falls, both wearing expressions of sexual satisfaction on their faces.

Olivia had gone into the office at eight that morning for a meeting with a public defender which lasted two hours. She spent the next hour delegating, before her colleagues pushed her out the door, telling her to have a great weekend. She'd rushed home to change into something more comfortable and to toss a few items into her bag. By the time she zipped it, her phone rang. Glancing at the screen, she smiled and answered.

"Hi, babe." She was unable to stop the huge grin from spreading across her face.

"Hi, Livvie. Are you almost ready?"

"I am. I hope you have enough room for all my bags."

"We're only going to away for two days," he said.

Olivia laughed. "I'm only joking, Fitz. I packed extremely light."

"I like the sound of that," he said, his voice dropping lower. "I'll be there in less than ten minutes."

"Okay. I'll see you then."

X

Olivia's doorbell rang and she practically ran to answer the door. Looking through the peephole, she saw Fitz, looking off to the side, still wearing his aviators. Unlocking the door, she opened it wide and he stepped inside.

"Good morning, baby," he said closing and locking the door, before pulling her into his arms.

"Good morning to you too."

Fitz lowered his head and touched his mouth to hers, then captured her lower lip and sucked gently. Her lips parted and he slipped his tongue inside her mouth. He kissed her slowly, while she moved closer to him, molding her body against his.

Finally, he broke off the kiss. "We'd better get going."

Olivia stared up at him, her chest rising and falling. "Yes, we should." She turned and walked into the living room to retrieve her purse. Walking back to where Fitz was waiting, holding her bag, she set the alarm and he opened the door, allowing her to exit and he followed. After making sure the door was locked, they walked hand in hand to the elevator.

"You look amazing, Livvie."

"In jeans, a camisole and flip flops?" she asked.

Fitz nodded. "In anything"

"Aww, thank you, babe," she said, standing on her toes and kissing his cheek.

When they made it down to the lobby, Anderson tipped his hat to the gorgeous couple as they walked across the lobby. The building's security team, as well as the residents, knew she was dating Fitz Grant, and so far there had been no gossip. They'd all been respectful of their privacy. Plus the security staff signed NDAs upon being hired so they wouldn't disclose what went on in the building. Most of the building's residents were at work at this hour, so the lobby was virtually empty. The doorman nodded and opened the door, before following them to Fitz's vehicle and opening the doors.

"So you decided to take her out today huh?" Olivia asked as she watched Fitz place her bag in the trunk next to his.

She stood looking at the beautiful metallic blue BMW 850i Coupe.

Fitz closed the trunk and walked to her. "Yes. I rarely drive it, so I thought this trip would be perfect to air her out. He walked her over to the passenger side of the car and she slipped into the car. Closing the door, he tipped the doorman, and hurried to the driver's side, climbing behind the wheel.

"How long until we get to your parent's place?" she asked, sliding on a pair of CHANEL pilot sunglasses.

"About three and a half hours. If traffic cooperates, we should be there no later than three. I called the house management company and placed an order for enough groceries for the weekend. So we won't need to stop."

Olivia nodded as Fitz guided the sleek automobile into the traffic, toward I-95. She enjoyed being able to just sit back and relax. It was a beautiful day, sun-filled and cloudless, and all she could think of was Smokey's 'Cruisin.' She was with her man and they were cruising away for the weekend.

Baby let's cruise away from here
Don't be confused, the way is clear
And if you want it, you got it forever
This is not a one night stand baby,

So, let the music take your mind,
Just release and you will find,

You're gonna fly away, glad you're goin' my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
Music is played for love, cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

X

They chatted easily, both excited for what the weekend would bring. As they talked, Fitz reached across the center console and took Olivia's hand in his. He lightly kissed her fingers before moving his fingers to the back of her neck, and playing with her ponytail.

Olivia tried to hide her soft giggle. "You need to stop," she said, her voice low.

"Stop what?" he asked, grinning at her, as he began caressing her neck again.

"That," she said, giving him a sly smile. "What you're doing with your fingers."

He chuckled as he continued to stroke her skin, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Is it bothering you?"

Olivia laughed. "You know what it's doing to me."

Fitz laughed along with her. "No, tell me," he said.

Olivia leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You're not funny, Fitzgerald Grant. You know what you do to me, when you touch me. I always want you to do more. So I don't know why you're teasing me when you're driving and you can't do anything about it."

A huge grin spread across Fitz's face. "How much do you like it?" he asked, and dropped his hand to her thigh, rubbing it, while never taking his eyes away from the road.

Olivia tensed and moaned. "You are so not funny. Keep that up and we'll be stopping at a hotel."

Fitz glanced at her. "Miss Pope, I can take the next exit, have us checked in and have you on your back in less than fifteen minutes. If that's what you want, it's just a phone call away."

Olivia stared at him, trying to see if he was serious. He was.

"But I can wait until we get to Chesapeake. So, let's talk about something else while I'm driving."

"No problem, babe. You focus on the road and we'll continue this particular conversation later."

"Oh, we most certainly will," he said.

As the powerful driving machine sped down the interstate, Olivia allowed the music streaming through the Harman Kardon sound system to lull her to sleep.

X

After what felt like only a few minutes, she heard Fitz whispering in her ear.

"Wake up, sleepyhead."

Olivia blinked rapidly several times. They sat in a circular driveway, and she looked out of the window at the large three-story brick Georgian home.

"We're here already?"

"Actually, it took a little longer than expected. We ran into a bit of traffic, but you slept through it all."

Fitz kissed her cheek and then exited the vehicle, coming around to passenger side, opening her door.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep, Fitz," Olivia said as she accepted his hand.

"No apology necessary. Your strap fell down and I noticed you're not wearing a bra. I had a great view the entire ride." He gave her that lopsided grin, with no shame.

"Pervert." Olivia laughed, rolling her eyes.

"I prefer imaginative."

"You would."

Fitz eyed her with a perverted smirk across his face. "That just made me hard," he said, smiling.

Olivia glanced at his crotch and back at his face. "Whatever, Grant." She turned to walk toward the steps and up onto the porch of the large home, ignoring Fitz's loud laughter behind her.

He grabbed their bags from the trunk, and followed her.

Olivia watched as he deactivated the built-in alarm on the lock and unlocked the front door. He opened the door and stepped aside so she could enter. She walked into an open space that was decorated exactly the way she expected.

"This is beautiful."

Fitz stopped and looked around as if seeing the place for the first time. "I guess it is."

"How long has this property been in your family?"

"Close to sixty years." He walked over to a winding staircase, with an ornately carved wood banister. "Follow me."

Olivia followed him to the second floor and into a bedroom beautifully decorated in shades of grey. The room looked out onto the empty dock. She stood looking out the windows. "Where are the boats?"

Fitz dropped their bags and walked up behind her, pulling her back to his chest.

"They're in storage for the winter months. Since the house wasn't officially opened for the summer, they weren't brought up. There are jet skis, canoes and kayaks in the boathouse. If you'd like to take them out, let me know."

Olivia nodded. "I'll think about it."

Fitz hugged her. "Would you like a tour?"

"Or," Olivia said turning in his arms. "We can do this." She snaked her arms around his neck. "…finish what you started in the car."

Fitz's hands moved to her ass, pulling her closer so she could feel the effect she was having on him. He lowered his head and kissed her softly.

Olivia moaned as he moved to her throat, using his tongue to bring her pleasure.

Fitz squeezed her tighter and lifted her into his arms, hooking her legs over his forearms.

She gasped as her core came in contact with his rock hard erection.

"I want you naked," Fitz whispered in her ear.

Olivia nodded, as he moved them toward the bed. Lowering her onto the duvet, he stepped back and removed his shirt, flinging it behind him. She repeated his action, removing her camisole and tossing it in the direction of his shirt, before settling back against the pillows.

"Your turn," she said, smiling at him.

Fitz's gaze was fixed on her bare breasts.

"Fitz?"

His eyes rose to hers.

"Your turn."

He grinned. "Oh, so you want a little striptease?"

Olivia nodded. "When you invited me here, I expected to be entertained."

Fitz chuckled. "I'm not much of an entertainer," he said. He unzipped his jeans and pushed them down his long, muscular legs, stepping out of them. His large erection strained against the confines of his black boxer briefs, and Olivia bit down on her bottom lip. She wanted it so bad, and right now.

She shook her head. "I think most of your fans would disagree, Mr. Grant," she said, trying to concentrate on their little game instead of his hard body. "You're very entertaining on the football field." She looked at his face. His smile matched hers.

"Well I guess there are some similarities between this and football. I strive to do my best in both arenas." He raised his brows.

Olivia held up a finger. "There is one difference, Mr. Grant. This time you're definitely going to score." She broke into a fit of giggles, while Fitz rolled his eyes. "I know it was very cheesy, but babe I couldn't help it. It was just too perfect."

"No, Livvie," Fitz said, crawling toward her on the bed. "Perfect would be you." He nipped at the spot behind her ear. Olivia angled her head to give him better access, and closed her eyes.

When he stopped, her eyes popped opened. She watched as he sat up and reached for the button on her jeans. Slowly unzipping the denim, she lifted her hips as he removed her jeans and black bikini panties, leaving her completely naked.

For a long moment, Fitz just stared at her as if seeing her for the first time. He shook his head. "God, you're beautiful."

Olivia smiled at him, and inhaled deeply. She opened her arms and wrapped them around Fitz, and he climbed between her legs. She could feel his hard dick against her stomach. He kissed her as his hand slowly moved down her body, between her breasts, over her stomach and lower to that spot between her legs. One finger slipped into her wet folds and stroked her clitoris.

Her body arched to meet his finger's ministrations, and moaned against his lips. Fitz pinched and stroked the bundle of nerves between his thumb and forefinger, then slipped his finger back inside, causing her to tear her mouth away from his, crying out. All of her muscles tensed, and she could hardly breathe.

The tip of Fitz's tongue moved to her breasts, swirling around one nipple and then the other, causing her to moan again. His fingers continued to play between her legs, moving in and out of her with increasing speed. Intense pleasure began to build low in her belly. Every muscle in her body tensed as Fitz's fingers worked their magic inside her. Her body clenched and Olivia exploded, falling back onto the pillows with a satisfied groan.

"Oh my God," she breathed.

Fitz smiled at the satisfied smile on her face. He stood from the bed and removed his briefs. Reaching for his discarded jeans, he retrieved his wallet from a back pocket. Flipping it open, he pulled out a condom. Dropping the wallet, he ripped open the foil packet and rolled the latex down his length. He stroked himself as he walked toward the bed.

"Is that for me?" she asked coyly.

Fitz chuckled. "Oh yeah, baby, it's all for you," he replied, climbing back onto the bed where Olivia welcomed him into her waiting arms with a deep kiss. The weight of his body on hers always felt so good. Fitz wrapped his arms around her and rolled over, placing her on top.

"I want you to ride me. Now." He stared at her breasts, a glazed look in his eyes. His dick twitched as she reached for it, causing her mouth to water.

Straddling his hips, Olivia rose on her knees to settle her core over his tip. Slowly, she lowered herself onto him inch by inch. His hard dick spread her walls, making its presence known.

"Damn," he swore, his jaw clenching.

Olivia looked down at him.

"Oh, Livvie," Fitz moaned, moving his hands up to grip her hips.

Olivia threw her head back. "Yes," she gasped.

He watched her, enjoying the pleasure on her face. "Livvie."

Olivia placed her hands on his hard chest and began to circle her hips. "Yes, Fitz," she sighed, loving the feel of the base of his dick stroking her clit. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes." She arched her back as Fitz thrust his hips, driving into her. In and out. Over and over.

"Are you close?" he asked, easing his hand between her thighs to press his thumb to her swollen clit.

She nodded. "Yes, baby."

"Me too."

Olivia leaned forward and took his face into her hands, and kissed him hard. Sweat covered their bodies as they both worked their hips in unison to reach their climax.

Fitz stroked deeper, using his hands to grab her ass.

Olivia moaned at the feel of him growing harder inside her.

Moments later, they both cried out loudly as they came. Their hearts pounded, and their pulses raced. Olivia collapsed on top Fitz and he wrapped his arms around her.

"I love you, Livvie." At that moment he didn't care if she didn't say it back. Not when his heart felt alive and at peace for the first time in a long time.

She lay relaxed and content, but didn't respond to his declaration. He knew, and she would tell him when she was ready.

"Each time we do this, the feeling is just…just unbelievable," she said. Lifting her head she gazed into his beautiful blue eyes. She lowered her mouth to his and softly kissed him.

"You do that very well, Livvie."

She started moving her hips again. "Let's see what else I do well."

X

Olivia attempted to open her eyes, but they wouldn't cooperate. She was completely exhausted, her body still humming. She heard the shower in the en suite and thought about joining Fitz, but then realized she couldn't lift herself from the bed, even if she tried.

She had no idea how many times they'd made love, but it seemed as if they'd wasted away the entire afternoon in bed. The shower stopped and moments later Fitz walked out of the bathroom, a plush towel wrapped low around his waist.

"You're awake," he said grinning and strolling over to the bed and placing a soft kiss on her lips.

"You sound surprised."

Fitz nodded. "And relieved." He pulled her onto his lap, moving her hair away from her face. "For a minute there, I thought I'd killed you. You came and just passed out."

Olivia looked at him and then burst out laughing. "Think about the headlines for that story."

Fitz grimaced. "There are parts of my private life that I'd like to keep private," he said, nuzzling her neck. Looking at her again, he kissed her nose.

"Since we spent most of the day in bed, I'm too tired to cook. So while you were asleep, I ordered dinner from the Mexican restaurant I told you about. I ordered a little of everything, and it should be ready in about twenty minutes."

She kissed his cheek. "Sounds good. Thank you, babe."

"Do you need anything while I'm out?"

Olivia raised a brow. "Other than another hour of two of sleep?"

Fitz laughed before setting her on the bed next to him, and standing to his feet. Walking over to his bag, he dropped the towel and pulled on a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt. The thought of him picking up their dinner commando brought a huge smile to her face.

Slipping his feet into his leather flip-flops, he walked over to the night table and grabbed his wallet, keys and phone. Leaning down, he kissed her again. "Goodbye, Livvie. I love you." And then he left the room.

Olivia waited until she heard the front door close before she collapsed back onto the bed. Why couldn't she say those three words to him?

X

Fitz opened the front door and closed and locked it behind him. Walking through the large great room to the kitchen, he nearly dropped their dinner when he stepped around the island. A firm, round butt peeked at him from the open refrigerator. Olivia was wrapped in a towel, and nothing else. The sight was so tempting all he could think of was stripping away the towel and giving her more of they'd spent most of the day doing. Instead, he called out to her.

"Find what you want in there?"

Olivia jumped and stepped away from the refrigerator, one hand on her chest, the other holding a bottle of water. "Fitz! You scared me."

Fitz stood staring at her.

"Babe? Are you okay?" she asked.

He was definitely okay…and mesmerized. Fitz set their food on the island and stalked, not walked, toward her, causing Olivia to back up, watching him like something she'd never seen.

"May I?" he asked.

She nodded.

His hand went to her hair, touching and twirling the thick, dense and damp curls. He'd never seen her hair in its natural state. She always wore a swim cap when she swam laps in his pool. He stroked and pulled one of the thick spiral curls and it sprung back into place. It was beautiful.

"I was too tired to do anything with it before I showered, so this is the end result," she said smiling up at him.

The still damp curls formed a halo around her head, past her shoulders. This look was new to him and was sexy as hell. "I love it, Livvie."

He kissed her and gripped her hips, lifting her into his arms. She wrapped her legs around his waist and deepened the kiss. Fitz pulled away and kissed a path down her neck, as he placed his hand in her curls, easing her head back for better access. He wanted to take her right there in the kitchen, but the rumble of his stomach reminded him that they would both need sustenance before going for another marathon lovemaking session.

"I was thinking we could have dinner under the terrace out by the pool," he suggested.

"Okay. But I need to get dressed."

"You don't have to" Fitz said, huskily. "This property is private and the sun will be setting soon," he grinned at her, hoping to convince her to remain nude.

"I am not going outside wearing nothing but a towel. Now, please put me down so I can get dressed."

Fitz did as she requested and placed her on her feet. She turned and walked away, but stopped.

"I promise whatever I wear will give you easy access to whatever it is you want." Without another word, she left the kitchen.

Fitz groaned as he watched her walk away.

X

While Olivia got dressed, Fitz set the table on the terrace and removed their dinner from the insulated containers, placing the food on a serving large tray. It wasn't long before she joined him in the kitchen again. She wore a lilac sundress that stopped mid-thigh.

Easy access indeed.

Olivia walked up to Fitz and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Everything smells so good."

Fitz leaned down and kissed her curls. "And it taste as good as it smells."

"I can't wait."

"I'm sorry, Livvie, but I just didn't have the energy to cook anything," Fitz apologized again.

"It really is okay, Fitz." She squeezed his waist. "I'd rather you spend time with me instead."

"So would I. Now, come with me." He lifted the tray and they exited the patio doors in the great room and walked down the slate steps to a table already set with plates, flatware, candles, flowers, water goblets, wine for Olivia and beer for Fitz.

"Fitz, it's all so lovely."

"Thank you. I try. Sit."

Fitz unloaded the food from the tray and then took a seat as well. Minutes later they were laughing heartily as they devoured a meal of some of the best Mexican food Olivia had ever eaten.

"This is so good!" She exclaimed before biting into her avocado burrito again.

"It is. I love it. If I'm going to load up on carbs, this is the best way to do it."

Olivia nodded in agreement as she chewed.

They continued to talk and eat with Olivia telling Fitz about her morning, and the questioning looks and knowing smiles from the public defenders and defense attorneys that she was still receiving. She'd been told that they wondered among themselves what had happened to the tough as nails AUSA they knew, or better yet, who. Apparently there were still some people who didn't know that she was dating Fitzgerald Grant.

Grinning, Fitz reached for hand, kissing the backs of her fingers. He was partially the reason for the change.

Olivia looked at him. "How could I have been so wrong about you a few months ago?"

"What about my first impression of you?" he chuckled. "I thought you were this sharp-tongued, tight-assed…"

She lightly punched his arm before he could finish. "Don't you even say it," she warned, and they both laughed. "But I will admit, I'm very happy and it's affecting every aspect of my life. You make me happier than I have ever been and there is no one else in the world I would rather be with."

Olivia had never had a need for a man the way she needed Fitz. She'd also never trusted herself to love a man. But with Fitz, it was impossible not to.

Fitz squeezed her hand. "Are you really happy, Livvie?"

She nodded.

"Then so am I, because that's all I want for you, for both of us."

They continued to talk, enjoying their meal. Olivia told Fitz that she was being recruited by the DOJ for a position as a Deputy Chief Supervisory Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights division. She had many friends and law school classmates at DOJ, and they had all been trying to get her to join the federal side of the law.

Fitz was the first person she'd shared that information with, the only person she wanted to share it with. Olivia admitted that she'd been thinking for some time about leaving the AUSA's office because of the repeated exposure to secondary trauma, and the stress that came with it.

Fitz listened while she talked, knowing that's what she needed. His concern grew when she talked about the feeling of vulnerability she experienced, which was attributed to real threats and dangers she sometimes received from defendants. He'd support her in whatever she chose to do, but now he could understand why Maya Pope worried about her daughter working as a prosecutor. He was also concerned.

She saw the look on his face. "I'm not afraid to do my job, Fitz. Most of the people who threatened me are cowards, harmless. It's the stress of taking on so much pain from the victim's that has me thinking about a career change."

Fitz looked at her, not bothering to hide the skepticism on his face. "Livvie, there are a lot of things that life has taught me, and one of them is that any dog with teeth will bite. I take their threats seriously."

"Don't worry. I'm not telling you this to make you angry. I just wanted to say what I was thinking, out loud. And I'm still thinking about it. I mean, I love what I do in the AUSA's office, but working at DOJ would be a big change."

When they finally finished eating, they loaded up the dishes and the leftovers on the tray, and took everything into the kitchen. After everything was clean, Fitz pulled Olivia into his arms and smiled down at her.

"How about a walk along the shore? We can walk off some of the carbs we just consumed."

Olivia chuckled, resting her hands on his chest. "You'll be okay. Your body is perfect."

He shook his head. "I'm not perfection. My body is how I earn my living. When I take care of it, it takes care of me."

"Well you take very good care of it, mister" Olivia said, appraising his body.

Fitz smirked at her and held out his hand. "Come on, walk with me." He led her out the patio door again, down the slate steps, and past the pool. As they walked, he held her close, pointing out different parts of the property. When they got to the shore, Olivia removed her sandals and walked barefoot, skipping along the shoreline. Fitz walked behind her watching, loving that she was happy. After the incident with Dana, and listening to her talk about her job, he was glad to be able to provide a space for her to think for the next two days.

"You're the first woman I've ever brought here."

Olivia stood on her toes and kissed his chin. "Now, you know it wouldn't be if the same if it were just any woman here."

Fitz took her hand again. "I know, and I hope you're laying claim to your space."

Olivia stopped walking causing Fitz to stop as well. She wrapped her arms around him. "I've already laid claim to what's mine. You."

He smiled, loving the sound of that. As the sun finally set, they stood holding each other tightly, oblivious to everything but each other.

X

Later that evening, Fitz sat on a cushioned lounger by the pool with Olivia resting on his chest. They'd stood down by the shore for a while before returning to the house.

"So who does this property belong to?"

"My mother. She received it as a gift from her mother, my grandmother, Theodora Bennett. Mom was the only one of her five siblings who actually loved this place, so Gran gave it to her."

"Did you come here often as a child?"

"I did. My father's family owns a compound on Martha's Vineyard and we would go there sometimes, but we came here every year."

Olivia's snapped in his direction. "Really? My parents own a summer home on Martha's Vineyard. It's in Oaks Bluff. Who knows, we may have seen each other in passing."

Fitz smiled and kissed her curls. "Maybe. We didn't go often because Mom and my paternal grandmother, Mary Catherine, didn't really didn't get along. Unlike her other three daughter's-in-law, Constance Bennett was too outspoken and unaffected by the Grant wealth. Their money is of no consequence to her. That's because the Bennett money is older and longer."

He felt Olivia's body shaking as she laughed.

"My mother went to finishing school, was a debutante, attended the right college and her family's on the social register, but none of that means anything to her. She's not really a snob, although me playing professional football was a shock to her, and she's definitely not a social climber, unlike the other three Mrs. Grants. The only thing Mom did right in Mary Cat Grant's mind, was give her three grandchildren."

"Wow, family gatherings must be interesting."

Fitz laughed. "They are, but Constance Grant can hold her own. You remind me a lot of her."

She glanced at him over her shoulder. "Really?"

"Yes. You don't suffer fools, neither does my mother."

"I liked her immediately because she didn't cut you any slack," Olivia replied.

"And she liked you too. She couldn't stop talking about you the last time we were here. So did my father. You made an impression on them both."

Olivia was quiet, which was odd for a lawyer. But she didn't know how to respond to that. So she changed the subject. "Fitz, what are your plans if this is your last season?"

Fitz sighed. He'd been thinking a lot about his post football career lately. "Playing football was a temporary detour in my life's game plan. Fortunately, I have options many other athletes will never have. I can go into business for myself. But it would probably be smart for me stay away from Grant North America, lest my grandfather say something about my mother."

"He wouldn't"

Fitz nodded. "Yes, he would. It's actually one of the reasons my brother and I don't really want anything to do with GNA. Solidarity with our mother. My grandfather, Fitzgerald Senior, threatened to cut us off but Mom just laughed, reminding him yet again that not only is the Bennett fortune older, it's twice as much as the Grants, so her children and future grandchildren have nothing to worry about."

"So you and your brother are rebels."

"Yep. We've always stood up to our grandfather, and for ourselves. We've never been like some of our Grant cousins, afraid to fight what we're passionate about. Especially when it comes to GNA."

"Having money makes that easy to do."

Fitz nodded. "That's true."

Olivia shook her head.

"So you spent your summers here as a child?"

"Yes. Some of my fondest memories are of me and my brother sailing, fishing, swimming and finding so much stuff to get into. I want the same for our little Olivias and Fitzgeralds."

"How many children do you want?" she asked, staring up at him.

Fitz grinned, shrugging his massive shoulders. "As many as you want to give me."

Olivia grinned back at him.

"You would look beautiful pregnant with our child," he said softly. "Are you still thinking about having my babies someday, Livvie?" He pressed his hands to her flat belly. "Will you consider someday giving me a son?"

Olivia was speechless. This man had put it all out there, showing his vulnerability. He'd told her how empty he felt when he wasn't with her and how complete he was when she was near. And he loved her.

Olivia placed her hands over his, on her belly. "Yes Fitz, I'm still thinking about someday giving you a daughter."

Fitz's loud laughter broke the quiet night, and Olivia laughed with him. "I said a son."

"And I said a daughter."

"Sons."

"Daughters."

"Stubborn."

"Cocky."

Fitz leaned down and kissed her curls. "Maybe, but this cocky man loves you very much."

Her heart did its usual flip flop when he said those words. Despite her having yet said them to him, she breathed them, and lived them, but was too afraid to say them. And, still, he showed her love in many ways. Every day. She had been blessed with something and someone beyond her imagination.

"What did I do to deserve you, Fitzgerald Grant?" She whispered, lifting his fingers to her lips.

Fitz hugged her to him. "You told me 'no.'" He held Olivia tighter as she laughed. "You were yourself from the moment I met you, and that's rare. You are rare."

"Thank you, babe."

"Now the better question would be, what did I do to deserve you?" Fitz asked.

Olivia turned in his arms and reached up to stroke his jaw. "You wouldn't take 'no' for an answer."

"And thank God I didn't."

Olivia couldn't have agreed more.

"I want to go for a swim. You want to join me?" She stood from lounger and started walking toward the pool. Catching the hem of her dress, she pulled it over her head and dropped it on the ground. She then hooked her thumbs into the waistband of her pink lacy panties and removed them, before heading to the deep end. She turned back.

"Are you coming?"

Fitz grinned. "Hopefully more than once tonight."

Olivia rolled her eyes and shook her head before diving into the pool, and resurfacing just as Fitz joined her, naked as she was. His hopes were realized in the pool, twice, on the lounger and much later, in the Jacuzzi.

X

Saturday evening…

Fitz wrapped a possessive arm around Olivia's bare back as they followed the hostess toward a secluded table that provided a modicum of privacy. His smug expression was a mix of pride and joy as he saw several male diners eyeing her from head to toe.

As usual, she was beautiful in a black linen halter maxi dress with hand painted calla lilies, and black strappy sandals. Her curls were pulled away from her face with a silk headband. She wore large silver hoops in her ears, and Fitz's bracelet. Her only make-up was mascara and a nude lipstick. After spending the entire day on the water, her complexion was so even, she didn't need anything else.

They'd started out at the pool where Olivia had sunbathed while Fitz cleaned the canoe. Later they'd gone paddling on the river. Olivia had enjoyed watching the muscles in Fitz's chest and back ripple as he paddled. It made her core pulse. After last night and earlier that morning, she was a little sore, but she still wanted more of him.

Olivia looked up into Fitz's handsome face as she walked alongside him to their table. He wore tan colored linen shorts, a white button down shirt and his beloved leather flip-flops. His pearly white teeth were a stark contrast to the sun-browned richness of his tanned face.

When they were seated, the tall, thin, young blonde hostess lingered, smiling slyly at Fitz, never looking in Olivia's direction. Olivia sat closer to Fitz, her annoyance at the flagrant disrespect written all over her face. The moment passed when Fitz leaned over and kissed Olivia, deeply, not once bothering to acknowledge the young woman, effectively dismissing her. Olivia couldn't help but smile with satisfaction as the hostess stormed off in a huff. After a brief a conversation with the owner, the couple was left alone.

"This place is charming," Olivia said looking around.

"We've been coming here for years. The service great, the food is exceptional and nobody bothers me."

Olivia stared at her boyfriend. Surprised. It was the first time Fitz had alluded to his celebrity status being a hindrance.

"Does it bother you when people stop and stare?"

He shrugged. "I don't mind the autograph requests and pictures, but the staring makes me uncomfortable. In the beginning it bothered me because I didn't know how someone would react to me. Were they angry because we'd lost, or were they angry because we had beaten their team? It's impossible to tell what someone is thinking when they walk up to me, so I'm always on guard. It's also why I like spending a lot of time in Great Falls."

Olivia smiled up at him. "And I like spending time with you in Great Falls."

Fitz kissed her cheek. "So do I. I also like that you don't crave the spotlight."

"Yeah, living in a fishbowl is not the life I want."

"As I've said before, I play the game…very well. There are times when I smile when I don't feel like smiling, because once you become a so-called celebrity, everybody wants a piece of you. And you can't smile on the red carpet one night and beat up a fan or a photographer the next day. You lose the one thing you crave the most: privacy."

"So that little display on Wednesday was the exception rather than the norm?"

Fitz smiled. "I thought we agreed that we were finished talking about Dana Rogers. She does not and never has meant anything to me. I am in no way interested in her. I love you."

He lowered his head and whispered near her ear. "I've enjoyed showing you just how much in the last thirty hours."

Olivia blushed. "We've done some pretty incredible things since arriving yesterday. I'll never forget the Jacuzzi as long as I live."

Their conversation was interrupted when the waiter set a basket of warm bread and glasses of water on the table. Olivia used that time to peruse the menu, feeling Fitz's gaze on her, until he left.

"You'll never have to worry about me and another woman as long as we are together. Now, what are you having?"

Olivia woke three hours later in the dark bedroom they shared, on her stomach, and stretched. She lifted her head from the pillow and looked over to find Fitz's side of the bed empty. Reaching to the floor for his discarded shirt, she pulled it on, covering her naked body. She stopped by the bathroom before leaving the bedroom to find her boyfriend. Padding barefoot down the stairs, she found him in the kitchen. His back was to her as he stood over the stove wearing nothing but a towel. The muscles in his back rippled with each movement as he stirred something.

Olivia's core pulsed again as she remembered gripping that same back while he moved in and out of her over and over and over. She cleared her throat and Fitz turned around.

"There you are," he said, looking at her with that grin.

Olivia strolled farther into the open room, and over to the huge stove. "I woke up in bed alone," she said as she wrapped her arms around his waist, placing a gentle kiss on his back.

"Since we got dessert to-go, I thought we'd eat it now," he explained.

"More dessert? Isn't that what I just had up there?" She tipped her head toward the stairs and laughed.

They'd made it home from the restaurant in record time, and were naked and in bed in a matter of minutes.

Fitz laughed too. "That was just the preview. This, my love, is the main event."

Olivia moaned and closed her eyes, dropping her head onto his back again."

"You ready for something sweet, Livvie?"

She lifted her head again and peaked around his shoulder. He was stirring the chocolate sauce that came with the chocolate pistachio Biscotti they'd ordered for dessert. The sauce was supposed to be used as a dip.

Olivia moved to stand next to him. "Am I allowed to sample?"

Fitz gave her a sexy grin and then reached for another spoon, and scooped up a bit of the chocolate sauce. Holding a hand underneath the spoon, he fed her the warm chocolate.

When she opened her eyes, Fitz was staring at her with desire in his eyes.

"How is it?" he asked.

"Why don't you taste it yourself."

He leaned over and did just that, pushing his tongue into her mouth. Their mouths moved together, licking, biting and sucking.

Fitz finally pulled away and turned off the fire underneath the chocolate.

"Have a seat," he said, looking in the direction of the island. He picked up the small saucepan and followed her.

Fitz grinned at her. "Turn around," he ordered.

Olivia turned to face him. Setting the saucepan on the island, Fitz reached out and unbuttoned the four buttons she'd buttoned on his shirt. The cotton shirt fell open, exposing her breasts and abs.

"Lean back," he said.

Turned on, she followed his orders. She arched her back and the shirt fell completely open. Fitz stepped between her opened legs and the towel brushed against her inner thighs. He ran a finger from her neck, down her chest, to her stomach.

Olivia closed her eyes, waiting for his finger to reach that spot between her legs. But he didn't. Instead, she felt a trickle of warm chocolate between her breasts. Her eyes popped opened when Fitz's tongue began to lick her skin.

She moved closer to the edge of the high stool and his erection hit her just where she needed him. Closing her thighs around his waist, she made sure he was unable to move.

Fitz drizzled more chocolate on her breasts and his tongue cleaned it. Finally, he sucked a nipple into his mouth.

Olivia moaned and pushed her breast further into his mouth.

Setting the saucepan on the island again, Fitz lifted Olivia and completely remoed the shirt, dropping it to the floor.

"Turn around, Livvie."

She turned and Fitz placed his hand on the small of her back, gently pushing her face down onto the cool marble. Olivia tensed when she felt his tongue lick a path up her spine to the spot between her shoulder blades.

The chocolate followed.

Olivia arched her back as Fitz ate more of the sauce from her skin, licking and nipping his way along her back. Her body tensed when she felt the towel fall from his waist, and they were skin to skin. He turned her around, lifted her into his arms and swiftly entered her.

Olivia gasped as he plunged his full length into her over and over again. She held onto his neck as he lowered his mouth to hers and opened her lips with his. She tasted sweet, like chocolate.

Fitz's tongue went deep as did his dick as he pushed deeper and faster in and out of her. The constant pressure on Olivia's clit mounted and she wasn't sure if it was humanly possible to come again. She'd had so many orgasms over the past two days, she'd lost count, and apparently Fitz was finished.

Olivia looked down to see him, long and thick, sliding inside of her. He grabbed her butt and started to jackhammer into her until he felt her stiffen and her walls quivered around him. Pleasure ripped from body and she surrendered. Fitz roared and they collapsed against each other. Their eyes were closed as they struggled to breathe. For a long moment there was no sound in the kitchen other than shallow breathing. Finally, he lowered her to the floor and rested his forehead against hers.

"How about some Biscotti with that chocolate?"

Olivia could only laugh.

That night, dessert lasted long past the Biscotti and chocolate. They finally made it upstairs, showered, and made the sweetest love again until they both fell asleep.

Olivia lay staring out of the window. It was dark outside but the moonlight lit up the bedroom, and she could see the dock. She wasn't sure how long she'd been awake but she guessed that it was at least two in the morning.

Fitz stirred next to her. "Are you okay, Livvie?" he asked in a deep, sleep-filled voice.

"I'm fine." She sat up and turned to face him. "Open your eyes, Fitz." She smiled at the look on his face. Uncertainty. "I want you look at me when I tell you that I love you."

"I'm listening."

"I love you Fitzgerald Grant, I'm also in love with you."

Fitz reached out and took her hand as her eyes filled with tears. "I hate you for making it so easy for me to fall in love with you."

He sat up, chuckling. "You love me and you hate me. Why the contradiction?"

"I didn't want to get involved with you."

"But you did," Fitz said, smiling at her.

Olivia nodded. "I'm head over heels in love with you."

He pulled her into his arms, hugging her tight. This is what he'd been waiting to hear. Olivia Pope was the first woman he'd ever slept with without a condom. And she was the only woman whom he wanted to have his child He loved her more than he could've imagined loving any woman.

Olivia sat back, cupping his jaw. "I love touching you."

"Well touch me like you love me, Olivia Pope."

She smirked at him. "You're cute. But I still love you."

"What? I can't hear you."

Leaning in she punctuated each word with a kiss. "I. Love. You."

"Convince me, Livvie. Do that again and add some tongue to it."

Olivia threw her head back and laughed, and kissed him again.

He shook his head. "I'm still not convinced."

She nodded. "I really do, Fitz," she murmured against his lips. "I love you." She kissed him the way he wanted before showing him again just how much.
