Saturday evening…

Fitz assisted Olivia out of the large black SUV outside La Vie, along The Wharf, as Daniel held the door open for them. The couple had spent the day together in D.C. getting spa treatments, including a much needed deep tissue massage for Fitz. They'd finally returned to her condo and ran a hot tub of bubbly water in Olivia's whirlpool tub, turning on the jets to further massage Fitz's still aching muscles. With the music playing softly and the lights set on low, they were both trying to keep from falling asleep. Fitz caressed Olivia's flat belly as she leaned closer into his hard chest.

"Hey, Livvie," he said softly.

"Hmm?" she responded, not opening her eyes.

"Today was a good day. It's been a while since we've been able to spend time together like this."

Olivia nodded, agreeing with him. "It really was. Actually, the entire week has been wonderful. I've loved you being here with me every night." Of course she didn't mention the fact that they hadn't had sex, but as long as they were together and in each other's arms, all was well.

"And I've loved being here with you." He leaned down and kissed her shoulder.

"I love you, Fitz."

"I love you more…and this body," he said, nuzzling the side of her neck.

"You always know exactly what to say, don't you?"

Fitz chuckled. "I like to remind you of how you felt about me when we first met."

"Oh my God, I tried so hard to deny my attraction to you, but you wouldn't take 'no' for an answer."

"So it wasn't just my body you were attracted to?" he asked, kissing her ear.

Olivia moaned. "I always kept my eyes on your face because otherwise you would've known how I felt just by looking at me."

He laughed out loud, and Olivia tossed bubbles at him. They ended up having a bubble fight and making a mess, but they had a little fun before getting out of the tub to get ready for the evening.

Fitz and Olivia strolled hand in hand through the doors of The Conservatory Room at La Vie. They stopped to greet a few guests as they made their way toward the guests of honor.

Maya Pope and Zora de Matteo had incorporated the wedding colors, raspberry, gold and blue, into the flowers and other décor.

"Looks like the mothers outdid themselves," Olivia whispered. "But it is beautiful."

Fitz nodded. "I think they may have invited the entire city."

Olivia laughed. "It certainly looks that way." There was family, and some friends, that she hadn't seen in years.

Olivia accepted a glass of champagne from a passing waiter. Fitz declined since it was the middle of the season. They stood watching as Julian and Joey slowly made their way over to them. Joey was stunning in a belted, long sleeve white jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, and her wild curls all over the place, while Julian looked handsome in a custom navy suit with a crisp white shirt. They made a beautiful couple.

"Here are the lovebirds," Olivia said smiling. "I still can't believe my big brother's marrying my best friend."

Julian hugged his sister. "I know…I can hardly believe it myself."

"I've never been as happy as I am now," Joey added, before hugging Olivia, then Fitz.

Olivia turned to Julian. "You take good care of my best friend."

"You have my word, little sister. I love Josephine more than my own life." He looked into his fiancee's beautiful, upturned face.

Olivia kissed her brother's cheek again, at a loss for words. The foursome continued to chat until Julian and Joey left to greet more of their guests.

It wasn't long before Maya Pope joined her daughter, and her boyfriend.
"Hello, Mom, looks like you and Aunt Z went all out." Olivia smiled at her mother and kissed her cheek, and Fitz did the same.

"Oh, nonsense, I can't have my only son find the love of his life and not celebrate it with everyone who's important to him. I also can't wait to plan your engagement party and wedding," Maya said, smiling at Fitz.

Olivia rolled her eyes. "Please, Mom. We have plenty of time for that."

"Mmm-hmm," was Maya's only response. "Now let me get a look at you. I thought Julian and Josephine were stunning, but the two of you are giving them a run for their money."

Olivia had chosen a chic and stylish, knee-length Cushnie cocktail dress in garnet, made from sleek wool jersey. It had an off-the-shoulder neckline, with a draped fold-over, a fitted bodice with a bronze sequined and crystal waistband. The waistband matched the bronze laminated suede and metallic sequins on the elegant sandals with ankle straps she wore, with a four inch stainless steel heel. Her hair was pulled into an neat bun showing off her long neck, and her makeup was light but flawless. The only jewelry she wore was Fitz's bracelet and diamond studs. She was elegance personified.

"You look absolutely beautiful, baby. And Fitz you're handsome as always."

And he was. He wore a very dark charcoal, almost black, mohair and wool blend custom suit with a Prince of Wales pattern. The white poplin Tom Ford shirt had a spread collar and double cuffs, and his garnet tie had white pin-dots, so the overall look was dark grey with a hint of blood red. He finished the look with a folded white linen handkerchief in his breast pocket, and black punched-cap-toe oxfords.

Fitz couldn't keep his eyes off Olivia in the body hugging dress, and they almost didn't get out of the house on time. Olivia was fixing Fitz's tie and he kept telling her how much he liked her dress, and how good she looked in it. He couldn't keep his hands off her, and she knew he wanted her in that moment. Unfortunately, they needed to get going or they'd be late. They looked at each other one last time, knowing that they couldn't wait to be alone later that night.

"Thank you, Maya. You look beautiful as well," he said. "And this place looks amazing." They stood silently taking in their surroundings.

"Where's Daddy?" Olivia asked.

"Oh he's around here somewhere," Maya said, looking around the large space for her husband. "He'll be happy to see the both of you." She kissed each of their cheeks. "I'm going to greet more guests, while you two mingle." And with that, she was off again.

After greeting most of Olivia's family and friends, the couple made their way to their assigned seats for dinner. Fitz had signed a few autographs and a photographer had been hired for the occasion was the only person taking pictures, so he was spared from taking selfies.

The food was delicious and in no time Joey and Julian were both being embarrassed with speeches and toasts from their families and close friends.

X

Later, Fitz, Julian and a few other men went up on the rooftop to smoke Cohibas, courtesy of Fitz. They smoked and talked until the November D.C. wind drove them back downstairs to the party. When they returned, Fitz stood on one side of the room watching Olivia as she sat at the bar talking to one of Joey's cousin, whose name he couldn't remember.

Fitz and a few other men in attendance, were finding it difficult to keep their eyes off her. He couldn't blame them. That dress hugged her body and exposed her every angle and curve. He chuckled as he thought about the discreet eyes on her all evening, but she only had eyes for him. She was perfection, and she was his.

"You next?" Olivia's cousin Harrison asked, as he stood next to Fitz. He had a huge smile on his face. Fitz had met the charming young man at a football game that he'd attended with Julian. He had a large and outgoing personality and was funny as hell. Fitz had liked him immediately.

They both stood watching Olivia before Fitz answered Harrison's question.

"Maybe."

"So you do want to marry my cousin?"

Fitz wasn't about to lie, so he answered honestly. "Absolutely."

Harrison smiled and nodded. "When it's right, it's right."

Fitz smiled. "Oh, it's definitely right. I love her with everything that I am."

"Yep, you're ready. Lock her down, my man, because if you don't, someone else will. Probably someone in this room."

The thought of another man touching Olivia made his gut clench, and he balled up his fists. "I hear you, Harrison."

"I hope you do." Harrison smiled at him, chuckled and walked away, leaving Fitz with his thoughts.

His gaze went back to the love of his life just as a strange guy sat in the empty seat next to her. He didn't remember meeting the man, as he watched him. He leaned over and said something to her and she smiled politely before returning to her conversation. It wasn't long before the stranger interrupted again, but this time he touched her bare shoulder and she visibly cringed. Fitz quickly made his way to the bar. Was this guy the only guest here who didn't know that he and Olivia were dating? Or was he just pressing his luck, and didn't care? Either way, he was about to put an end to it.

X

Fitz reached the bar and took the seat next to Olivia that had just been vacated. He ordered a sparkling water and took a sip before turning to his beautiful girlfriend.

He leaned close but spoke loud enough for the stranger to hear. "Are you here alone?"

Olivia took a sip of wine before answering. "No. My boyfriend's around here somewhere." She scanned the room, and then turned back to him.

"I find it hard to believe that any man would leave a woman as beautiful as you all alone." He reached out and touched her thigh and then squeezed, causing the stranger's mouth to fall open.

"Well he did. How about you, do you have a girlfriend?"

Fitz nodded. "I do, but she left me all alone too." He moved closer and nipped her earlobe.

"What did you do?"

He chuckled. "Why is it something I did?"

She shrugged. "Because you're a man."

Fitz glanced at the stranger who was still staring. "I can't argue with that." He moved his hand further up her thigh and began to massage it. "Since your boyfriend and my girlfriend left us both alone, why don't we get out of here?"

Olivia stared at her man, whose hands were making her so hot for him. "And do what?"

"Oh I'm sure we can come up with something." His tone changed, which meant playtime was over. "I want you."

The thud from a glass being slammed on the bar caught their attention and they both turned in time to see the stranger toss a few bills on the bar to tip the bartender, and walk away. They watched as he got lost in the crowd before turning back to each another and breaking into raucous laughter.

"You are so bad," Olivia said, shaking her head.

Fitz leaned over and kissed her softly on the lips. "But you like it. Besides, I saw him all over you and you seemed annoyed so I came to rescue you."

"Thank you, baby. But that was Trey, a new paralegal in my brother's office. He's harmless."

Fitz wasn't so sure about that. He'd seen the way the young man had looked at Olivia, but he let it go.

"Are you ready to leave?" His eyes were everywhere except her face.

Olivia smiled seductively. "You never answered my question, what are we going to do?"

He bit his bottom lip, and she read his mind.

She shook her head. "Fitz I don't want to…"

Impatiently, he cut off her words, touching a finger to her lips. "I need you, Livvie."

The Football Team was on a streak and he had an insane practice schedule beginning on Monday. He knew he shouldn't be having sex, but he was going to anyway. Consequences be damned.

"Fitz I thought we were still on the 'conserve your energy for the field' game plan."

Fitz didn't verbally respond, he just gave her an explicit look that spoke volumes, and said exactly what he wanted to do to her.

Olivia swallowed.

They were both keenly aware that they had not made love in weeks. His eyes never left hers, and she could see how much he wanted her. And she wanted him. They were way past ready.

Finally, he leaned over and pressed a kiss right behind her earlobe and then whispered, making his intention clear.

Olivia's eyes widened with lust, her mouth opened slightly and she smiled at him. "I've fulfilled my best friend and sister duties for the evening, let's get out of here."

Fitz reached into his pocket and removed a large bill, tipping the bartender. He then took out his phone and called Daniel, informing him that he and Olivia would be leaving shortly.

X

Fitz held Olivia's hand in his much larger one as they walked around the room saying goodbye to everyone. Joey and Julian were on the other side of the room, in their own world.

"Hey bestie, big brother, we're heading out."

Julian stood and assisted Joey to her feet.

"I am so happy for the two of you, and I love you both so much," Olivia said.

"Aww," Joey said and pulled her best friend into her arms for a tight hug. "I love you too, Liv."

When they stood apart, Fitz kissed Joey's cheek before hugging her, while Julian did the same to Olivia.

"Love you, baby sis."

Everyone laughed except Olivia. She swatted her brother's arm. "You know I hate it when you call me that."

Julian nodded and grinned at his sister. "I know you do." They all laughed again. "Thank you guys for coming. And thanks for the toast, and the cigars, Fitz."

"Anytime," he said, sliding his arm around Olivia's waist. "I probably won't see you guys until after the game next Sunday. Take care and congratulations again."

"Enjoy the rest of your party," Olivia said.

Joey winked. "And you enjoy the hell out of yours."

Fitz threw back his head and laughed while Olivia narrowed her eyes at her best friend. I'm going to kill her when I see her again.

X

The couple stopped at the coat check to retrieve Olivia's fur shawl before heading down to the street to meet Daniel. They stood at the curb waiting and she shivered from the chilly night air. Fitz unbuttoned his jacket and stood behind her, wrapping her in his jacket and in his arms.

"I love keeping you warm," he whispered.

"Thank you."

He hugged her tighter, and his strong arms made her feel so safe and so protected.

"And I also love you,"

Tilting her head back, she looked up at him. "I love you, too." She could feel his thick erection pressed against her back, but she couldn't wait to feel it somewhere else. It had been a while.

"This might be a long night, love," he whispered near her ear.

Olivia chuckled. "Bring it, baby."

"Always, you know that."

Moments later, Daniel pulled up in front of them and jumped out to open the doors.

"Thank you, Daniel."

"You're welcome, Mr. Grant."

"Hello, Daniel."

"Hello, Miss Pope."

Fitz assisted Olivia inside the vehicle's warm interior, before running around the back and climbing in the other side. Olivia settled back against his chest as Daniel pulled away from the curb.

"Do you need anything before we go home?" Fitz asked.

"No," Olivia said. She didn't need anything but Fitz. Opening her eyes, she turned her head and kissed his chin. "I only need you."

He grinned. "That makes two of us." He kissed her neck making her tingle.

"Can Daniel drive a little faster?" she asked before placing a soft kiss on his lips.

Fitz's laughter filled the inside of the SUV. "He's going as fast as he can, Livvie." He placed a hand on her thigh, rubbing gently. "Patience."

"It's been too long," she said above a whisper enjoying the circular motion of his hand on her thigh.

Her hand roamed over his thigh to his now hard dick.

"Shit, Livvie." Fitz was glad that the partition was closed. He covered her hand with his, trying to hold it in place, but she began caressing him through his pants.

"Stop fighting me." She began to nibble on his ear. "You know you like it."

"I do," he said and began to suck on her neck.

"Oh no you don't, Mr. Grant. You will not put any visible hickeys on my body.

Olivia was caught up but Fitz was paying attention and saw Daniel pulling into the circular driveway of her building. "We're here, Livvie," he said, removing her hand from his crotch just as Jonathan opened the back door.

"Hello, Miss Pope, Mr. Fitz."

Fitz removed his jacket and held it so no one could see what Olivia had been doing to him.

"Hello, Jonathan they said at the same time before hurriedly walking through the glass doors and toward the elevators.

Anderson greeted them with a nod and they returned it as they silently waited for the doors to open. When they did, the couple quickly stepped inside, alone, and the doors closed. In a matter of seconds, Fitz had her in his arms and smiled down at her.

"What?"

"Just thinking how beautiful you are and how much I love you."

She reached up and caressed his cheek, and Fitz began moving her back against the wall with his hand squeezing her butt cheek.

"Livvie, you're a bad girl. Anyone could've seen the evidence of what you were doing to me in the car." He kissed her neck.

"If they saw it, they should've been jealous."

He laughed and continued kissing her, his mouth working on her throat, sucking and licking a spot he knew was sensitive.

"Fitz there are cameras in the elevator."

"Livvie my back is to the cameras, no one can see you.

"But anyone could be watching."

He lowered his forehead to hers. She was right. Anderson and Jonathan, and God knows who else, could be standing around the monitor watching them right now. He would never want to put her in any position where she would be too embarrassed to show her face. This was, after all, her home.

"I'm sorry Livvie. I got carried away."

"It's okay, baby, I understand."

The bell signaled they'd reached the seventh floor. The doors opened, and they stared at each other before exiting.

Fitz cupped the back of her head and kissed her again, passionately, as he walked her backward, in his arms, toward her door. Olivia giggled against Fitz's mouth when she almost lost her balance, but he grabbed her and lifted her in his arms, still kissing her deeply. At her door, he allowed her to unlock it and they entered. He dropped his suit jacket to the floor and closed and locked the door, while she deactivated the alarm.

Olivia pulled his shirt from his pants and ran her hands underneath, enjoying the feel of his ripped abs and smooth chest. She leaned up and kissed his lips while her hands reached for the closure of his pants and slid it open, and then unzipped him. She tugged his pants and briefs to his feet, and he stepped out of them, kicking them aside. She wrapped her small hand around him, stroking his hard length.

Fitz moaned and lifted her, pressing her against the wall in the foyer, and she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. He pushed her dress up to her hips, exposing her garnet colored thong. Reaching between her legs, he moved her thong to the side and made sure she was ready for him and found her already wet.

Olivia felt his large head against her clit before slipping inside her slick walls, deep inside of her. They both moaned. They'd missed being together like this.

"Oh, God. Why do you feel so good? I want to be with you like this forever," she said against his neck, which only made him move harder and faster.

"You're so tight," he whispered as he guided her up and down on him.

Olivia moaned at the feeling of Fitz sliding in and out. It was too much. She closed her eyes in pleasure and held on.

"Open your eyes, Livvie."

She did and gazed into his beautiful blue eyes. He continued to hold her up and slowly made love to her.

"Do you feel me?"

She nodded her head and exhaled deeply before answering. "Yes, Fitz, yes," she moaned. "Oh yes."

"You are all mine, and I can't wait to take the next step with you." A vein popped in the side of his neck and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. How had they survived without this the past few weeks? Her kitty sucked at him like she was starved. In a way, she was.

Fitz slipped his tongue in her mouth and kissed her, matching the rhythm of his dick.

Olivia closed her eyes again in pure bliss. Fitz noticed and was relentless with his mouth kissing her and his body sexing her.

"Come for me, Livvie."

He was pumping hard inside her and continued to kiss her, making it difficult for her to breathe because she needed to moan. Fitz widened his stance, forcing Olivia's legs wider and started hitting her clit so hard she was going to cum soon. She hugged his neck and leaned in to kiss his lips. He kissed her back but still didn't slow down his pace. Instead he pounded into her faster and faster. She was so close and she knew she was going to cum the next time he hit her spot. And that's exactly what happened.

When Olivia ripped her mouth away from and screamed, it wasn't long before Fitz groaned and followed her over the same cliff, cumming inside her. Her legs tightened around him as Fitz shuddered through his own orgasm. They collapsed against each other, and Fitz held her tight as her legs slowly stopped shaking. He pulled her closer and pressed his lips to hers.

"You okay, Livvie?" Fitz asked softly in her ear.

"Yes, perfect," she sighed. "I needed this."

"I know. I missed this so much," he breathed against her neck. "Don't move. I just need to hold you for a minute."

They both remained silent as they allowed their breathing to return to normal. Finally, he softly kissed her forehead.

"We're not finished," he chuckled.

"I know," she replied lazily, and lay her head on his shoulder as he walked to the bedroom with her in his arms.

X

Sunday morning…

"I'm going to be late," Fitz said as he pulled a long-sleeve t-shirt over his head while moving around the room. Olivia was propped up against the mound of pillows on the bed watching as he slowly finished getting dressed, as if he hadn't just said he was late.

"And whose fault is that?"

He stopped moving and looked at his gorgeous girlfriend and her tight little body, the body he'd just finished satisfying.

"Yours."

"Mine?"

"Yes, yours. And if I wasn't on my way to see your little boyfriend and thirty other campers, I would have canceled and stayed in bed with you," he said as he collected his wallet, phone and keys.

Olivia laughed. "My boyfriend definitely isn't little."

Fitz glanced at her over one broad shoulder while she stared at the muscles in his back, which were still visible beneath the t-shirt.

"Evan's going to be sad that you're not there. That kid has a major crush on you."

"You're right. Maybe I should…"

"No!" Fitz said, shaking his head and walking toward the bed. He braced himself on the mattress and leaned over to kiss her lips. "If you show up, Evan won't be the only camper unable to concentrate on the drills. As much as I would love to see you there, let's not add anymore distractions. The other Team members and the Team cheerleaders will be more than enough."

Olivia laughed and Fitz cut it off with another kiss. She ran her hands through his still damp hair. Slowly he pulled back and stood from the bed. Heading toward the door, he turned around to face her again.

Olivia's eyes were on another part of his body. He looked so sexy in his grey joggers and t-shirt.

Fitz smirked. "My eyes are up here, Livvie. And that's not going anywhere."

She raised her hand."Guilty as charged. I don't know if you realize what wearing those grey sweats do to me. You can get it whenever you're wearing them."

Fitz walked over to her again. "I'll keep that in mind."

"I thought you were late."

"You know I like it when you talk dirty to me."

Olivia grinned until Fitz slipped his tongue deep into her mouth. She moaned when he finally pulled away. "Fitz," she whined.

"Don't you have errands to run? You're supposed to be making Sunday dinner for me, woman."

Olivia was a pretty good cook but Fitz had taken over preparing their meals whenever Bert had the day off. Today she wanted to prepare a "clean" meal for her man.

She groaned. "I love to cook but going to the market is not my favorite thing to do."

Fitz laughed. "Which explains all the wine and popcorn in your kitchen."

"Hey, that's the meal of champions!" she said indignantly.

"Why don't you just have the food delivered?"

Olivia shook her head. "I like selecting my own meat, herbs and vegetables."

Fitz nodded in understanding.

"Besides, I'd rather spend time with my little boyfriend."

"Well, how about if your big boyfriend makes it up to you later?"

Olivia put her index finger at the corner of her mouth as if she was thinking very hard. "Hmm. Evan has those glasses, adorable big ears and missing front teeth. As an attorney I have to say he has a strong case, babe." She smiled. "But I guess you'll have to do."

Fitz sputtered a laugh. "What a way to keep my ego in check."

"Don't be so sensitive. The kid's adorable. There isn't much you can do to compete with that."

"Obviously." He glanced at his watch. "I need to get going. I may stop by T's place later, but I'll call you if I do. See you later. Love you, Livvie."

"Love you too, babe."

Once Fitz was gone, Olivia flopped back onto the pillows. She was exhausted and sore. Fitz had been insatiable and freaky last night, and earlier that morning. She felt he was insatiable because he was an athlete and he was always ready, and she was always ready for him. She smiled to herself thinking of all the things he'd done to her…and that she'd done to him. She hoped no one would able to tell that she'd been having sex all night and morning when they saw her walking.

After their initial tryst against the wall in the foyer, they made it to her bedroom where they stripped naked and tried to show each other over and over just how much they'd missed making love to each other.

Olivia lay in bed as if she didn't need to get up, shower and begin her day. She needed to stop by a few places before returning home and starting dinner.

Finally, after one last squeeze of the pillow that still held Fitz's scent, she left her bed and headed to the bathroom. She stood under the hot steady stream for a few minutes, and in no time her tired and sore body relaxed. Muscles that she hadn't used in weeks loosened. Once she finished, she dried and moisturized, and had just walked out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a robe when she heard the doorbell. Frowning, she left her bedroom.

Checking the security camera on her tablet, as soon as she saw who it was she quickly opened the door, determined to find out what the hell was going on.

T.C. stood in the doorway with red and puffy eyes, and she was visibly upset.

"T, what are you doing here? Where have you been?"

The damn broke and Olivia pulled her inside, and closed and locked the door. They stood in the foyer with T.C. crying in Olivia's arms. Whatever was going on had her distressed. After a minute or two, she guided the young woman to the living room and they sat side by side on the sofa, with T.C. still crying on Olivia's shoulder. It reminded her of months ago when she was the one crying her eyes out and Fitz was the one comforting her. They sat in silence until Olivia spoke.

"As happy as I am to see you, T. I'm also concerned. Your brother has been worried about you because he hasn't heard from you in a week. The texts were enough to calm him for a while but he'd planned to stop by your apartment today."

"I know," she sniffed. "But I just can't face him right now."

Olivia was beginning to panic, and her prosecutor antenna shot up. "Why can't you face your brother right now, T.C.? What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Her heart was pounding and her mind reeled. OMG! Please don't say you're pregnant, because I'm going to die and then you're going to die because Fitz will surely murder you and the young man who did it.

"Yes, but…I just…I kind of messed up."

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

She looked into T.C.'s sad silver grey eyes. "You messed up how, Theodora?"

T.C. looked down at her hands in her lap.

"Messed up how, T.C.?" Olivia asked again, her voice rising.

"The party last Saturday…"

She paused and Olivia began to shake her head. No, no. "It was at a house that these guys from Georgetown share. My roommates and I were invited by one of the guys. I met him at a bar a few months ago."

Olivia nodded, urging her to continue.

"We'd been talking and hanging out a lot and he seemed like a cool guy. When we arrived, there were people hanging out everywhere, a lot of drinking, just normal stuff. Franklin was acting funny, hanging with his friends and ignoring me. He went upstairs by himself and Ashley convinced me to go and talk to him to find out what was going on. I did, but he was up there kissing and groping another girl in the hallway. They went into one of the bedrooms as I stood there watching. It pissed me off, but I was also over it, and him." She shrugged as if she was over it, but clearly she wasn't."

"T, not every guy is the right guy. But at least you found out before things went too far."

She nodded. "But that's not the worst part. When I was heading downstairs, I ran into one of his friends. He smirked at me and said that if I waited, I would be next because Franklin only invited me to see if he could make a sex tape with Fitz Grant's little sister." She swiped at a tear.

"Oh, T, I'm so sorry. But you know there are some really shitty people in the world. You have to be careful who you trust. Sometimes trusting the wrong people can get you in a lot of trouble. I see it every day."

T.C. sighed and flopped back on the sofa. "I know. And I have been careful, especially after that incident with Jesse and my car. Jake seemed legit. I guess I should've known though. He's a frat boy from Georgetown," she said wryly.

"Some guys are…"

"Stupid," T.C. finished.

Olivia nodded. "True, but some are also manipulative. They'll say and do all the right things to gain your trust. Believe me, when I was your age, I dealt with my share of assholes too. By the time you figure out who they really are, you realize you've wasted a lot of time on someone who doesn't deserve you."

T.C. laughed, wiping more tears. "I didn't have sex with him," she admitted.

But you thought about it.

"That's good, and as bad as it feels right now, things could have been so much worse. And I know you probably don't want to hear this but T, you're not the typical college student. Because of who your brother is, and your family's money, things are a little bit more complicated for you. You have to be more cautious about who you allow to get close. Being cautious doesn't mean you can't enjoy your life, only that you have to be more selective."

"I know, and I was, until this happened. But he was…"

"Cute, and said all the right things."

T.C. rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that."

Olivia laughed, remembering being in the same situation. "You can still have friends. Cute friends. But just give it time to make sure they're with you for the right reasons."

"But how do you do that? I mean, everybody lies."

Olivia nodded. "True. But most of the time you can feel what's right and what's not. It's hard to ignore when what's on the outside is distracting you, but most of the time, you know."

Olivia smiled and T.C. smirked. "He wasn't that cute."

"You sure?" Olivia asked.

T.C. chuckled. "Okay, so maybe he was, but he's still an asshole."

"Unfortunately, there are a lot of those out there too. But there are also a few good ones. Just take your time, don't be in a hurry to do the boyfriend thing. You're only twenty years old, and you have another year left of college. Work on you, and don't let anyone rush you into anything you're not ready for."

Olivia gave her a look, and T.C. understood.

"I won't. I'm not even sure I'm ready for a serious relationship."

"Well when you are, and you need or want to talk about it, I'm here." She added, "And I really hate to sound like the uncool girlfriend of your brother, but just so we're clear, please don't ever have sex with a guy because it's what he wants or because you want him to like you. It never, ever, ever ever…"

"Okay, okay, I get it," T.C. said, cutting her off.

"It doesn't work. Ever. Sorry. Just making sure we're clear. But again, if you need me, I'm always here. I'd rather you have somebody to talk to versus trying to figure out the complicated stuff on your own and you end up making bad decisions. I'll always be honest and no judgment. I promise."

"Thank you, because I definitely can't discuss things like this with Fitz." She cringed just thinking about it.

Olivia chuckled. She couldn't see that conversation happening, ever.

"You're welcome."

"This entire situation was so embarrassing. I'm glad you were home. I just couldn't tell Fitz because I was too ashamed."

"No, you definitely don't want to tell him, or poor Franklin would need to change schools because your brother would have made it really difficult for him to show his face in this city ever again once he got his hands on him."

Olivia and T.C. both shuddered at the thought.

"Between Fitz and Ty, Franklin wouldn't stand a chance."

Olivia looked at T.C., confused. "Ty? What does he have to do with this?"

"Ty and I are good friends, Liv. I told him what happened. He's home in California right now but he offered to return to D.C. to kick Franklin's ass."

"Is that all you two are, T, just friends?"

"Yes. He's too afraid of Fitz to try anything else." T.C. sighed.

"You're my captain's little sister and he's very protective of you. Everybody knows to stay away from T.C. Grant," she said in Tyson's voice. Both women laughed.

"But we've gotten close since Family Day. We're just good friends, and I felt comfortable telling him everything. I wasn't really surprised by his reaction." She smiled thinking about what he'd said.

What's his name, T? What happened? Did this guy put his hands on you? Just say the word and I'll come back to D.C. I'd like nothing more than to lay his ass out.

"And I can't have my brother fixing all of my problems. That defeats the purpose of me being on my own. I have to start figuring things out by myself."

Olivia nodded. "You do, but if you need help don't hesitate to ask for it."

"I won't."

Olivia sighed and smiled. "How would like to run a few errands with me? I'm making Sunday dinner for your brother and I need to pick up a few items."

"Sure. And can I help you make dinner?"

Olivia stared at the spoiled, but kind-hearted and sweet, little sister of her boyfriend. "Um, yeah, okay."

"Don't forget, Liv. This conversation stays between us."

"Of course. I would never betray your trust."

"Good."

"I'm going to get dressed and then we can go."

Later…

Olivia and T.C. were in the kitchen laughing and talking, and listening to music as they prepared dinner. It wasn't long before Olivia heard the sensor indicating the front door had been opened. She and Fitz had exchanged keys, another major step in their relationship, months ago. The past week was the first time he'd used the key to her condo, since they spent most of their time in Great Falls.

"Livvie! Daddy's home! Olivia Carolyn Pope, get your sexy little ass out…"

Olivia rushed from the kitchen toward Fitz who'd made it to the living room, and covered his mouth with one hand, while pulling him toward her bedroom with the other.

Fitz looked confused. "What's going on?"

"We're not alone. T.C.'s here."

"What? T's here?"

Olivia nodded. "Yes, and she's helping me with dinner." She stood on her toes and kissed him, trying to cut off anymore questions.

Fitz slipped his arms around her waist. "Do you want to tell me why my sister is here?"

She smiled up at him and tried to kiss him again, but he leaned away from her. "Oh no you don't, you're not going to kiss your way out of explaining what's going on."

"Does it matter? She's here now."

"Yes it does. Why is T.C. here, Olivia?" He asked looking directly into her beautiful doe eyes.

"Because she needed to talk."

"About what? What's wrong?"

"Nothing major. We talked and she's okay. Do you trust me?"

"Of course, but..."

"No buts. She's fine. No harm physically or emotionally. Just give her a hug, tell her you love her and then the three of us are going to sit down to a delicious dinner, and maybe later you'll get more dessert."

He grinned at her. "Your place or mine?

Olivia shrugged. "Doesn't matter," she said looking at her favorite part of him through his joggers.

Fitz pushed his pelvis closer to her so she could feel him. He kissed her letting her know what was going to happen when they made it to either her bed or his later that night, although he knew they'd probably end up in Great Falls.

Fitz liked that Olivia spent most of her time in his home. He also liked finding her things all over the place. Tampons were suddenly in the bathroom cabinet. An assortment of shampoos, conditioners and other natural hair care products and her body wash were stored in the shower, and along the marble countertop. There was a blow dryer and flat irons in the bathroom drawers. He'd given her one of the closets in his bedroom, with built-in drawers, but her clothes were still mixed in with his, and he loved seeing it.

Bert made sure to keep her favorite brand of popcorn on hand, and any other food she liked, while Fitz kept the wine rack filled with her favorite vintages. The owner of the local wine shop made sure to call him when they found a red that they felt Olivia would like.

Fitz loved her presence in his home and couldn't wait for it to be permanent. He was the first to admit that he'd missed her when she'd spent a few weeks at her condo, while he was in training mode. When she returned, he had no intention of ever letting her go again.

But for now, he was going to head to the kitchen to hug T.C. and tell her that he loved her, as he'd been instructed to do. He had no idea what happened to make her avoid him all week, but he trusted Olivia, so he would let it go...for now. They would tell him if and when he needed to know. He was just happy to finally be able to lay eyes on his baby sister for the first time in over a week.

"I love you, lady." He kissed her forehead.

"I love you too." She turned and gingerly walked toward the door.

"Hey, you okay, Livvie?"

She smiled back at him. "Yes, just getting to the point where I can walk again."

Concern filled his face. "I'm sorry, maybe we should postpone dessert."

She shook her head. "No we shouldn't."

"Then I'll be gentle."

"You better not be. Now come on and say hello to your sister, and then tell us all about camp, and my little boyfriend."

Fitz threw back his head and laughed as he allowed Olivia to lead him back to the kitchen.

Later that evening after a lively dinner with T.C., they said their goodbyes and Fitz walked her downstairs to her car. He hugged her tighter than he usually would, and made her promise to check in more often. She said she would. He stood and watched her car until it disappeared from the parking garage. When he returned to Olivia's condo, she was just finishing throwing a few items into a leather weekender.

"You ready, baby?"

She nodded. "Yes. I just needed a few things."

He walked further into the room and pulled her back against his chest. "I've told you that I would buy whatever you need."

"And I told you that it wasn't necessary. I have everything I need." She turned around in his arms. "You know I'm not interested in being a kept woman."

"I know. But you're my woman. I will always want to take care of you. That's what I'm supposed to do. Whatever you want, I'll get it, because I love you." He looked at her lips before kissing her. When they finally came up for air, Olivia groaned and rested her forehead on Fitz's chest.

"Come on, let's go. I've got a few tricks ups my sleeve for you, Miss Pope."

"Well Mr. Grant, I'm completely yours tonight. What's your pleasure?"

Fitz tightened his hold on her waist. "Let's get out of here, and I'll show you."

On the ride to Great Falls, Olivia stared at the changing scenery as they left D.C. Glancing at Fitz she noticed that he was unusually quiet. Lifting his hand, she kissed his fingers.

"Penny for your thoughts."

Fitz briefly looked at her before focusing his eyes back on the road. He seemed hesitant to say what was on his mind. Finally, he exhaled.

"I want you to move in with me."

Olivia blinked. "What?"

Fitz repeated it.

She shook her head, trying to make sure she'd heard him correctly. Was he serious? "I don't think that's a good idea, Fitz."

He glanced at her again. "Why? We've spent almost every night together since we returned from Chesapeake Bay. Not counting those two weeks you spent at your condo last month."

Olivia sighed and looked at his profile. "I've never lived with a man."

"And I've never lived with a woman. So?"

She could see his jaw clenched tight and his hand gripping the steering wheel."

"So, I guess I'm just old-fashioned."

"What does that mean?" He frowned.

"I want to be married first."

Fitz nodded. "You know how I feel about marrying you. Whenever you're ready, Livvie."

"We're not there yet, Fitz."

He shook his head. "No, you're not there yet."

She could tell he was getting upset. He was also right, she wasn't ready.

"No I'm not, and we are not ready to move in together," she said a little more forceful.

"Can we not argue or make a big production out of this please?" He honestly couldn't see what the big deal was.

Now he was angry, which pissed her off.

"I'm a lawyer, arguing is what I do. But we don't have to argue or discuss anything. I love you, but I'm not ready to live with you."

She turned and stared out the window again.

"Livvie, does this mean you're having doubts or…"

"Fitz you just said you didn't want an argument, so let's just stop talking."

He didn't say another word, and they continued to Great Falls in silence.

Olivia woke the next morning alone in bed. Fitz had left for practice before dawn. She vaguely remembered him kissing her forehead. Sighing deeply, she turned over onto her back, staring at the vaulted ceiling. Her mind immediately went to the previous evening. They'd arrived at his home and their time together was strained. Neither of them liked the tension between them, but he was too focused on practice, and she had work of her own to deal with. She also knew that keeping quiet would be the better course of action, lest one of them say something that they couldn't take back.

They hadn't made love, and it was the first time since they had been together that they hadn't gone to bed wrapped in each other's arms. It didn't feel right.

Rolling on her side, she grabbed one of Fitz's pillows and sniffed the place where his head had been, taking in the natural male scent that was his alone. She would be able to find him in a dark room filled with men. Her heart was heavy, and she vowed to make all of this up to him as soon as she could. She laid thinking of him, of them, for a few more minutes before finally reaching for her phone. Noticing a few text notifications, she opened them and quickly read the one from Fitz.

Livvie. I couldn't stand going through the day with things left unsaid between us. I understand how you feel, and I'm sorry for the way I reacted. We have time to figure it all out, and we will; no need to rush. I'll be home early this evening, and I hope you'll be there too. I love you.

Olivia lay grinning like a fool reading the text again, and then replied with four words: I love you too. She then stood from the bed and began preparing for her day.
