SmackDown: 13/4/2000

"You need to let it go." Patricia giggled as she followed George in the arena, the two having arrived after taking the car from the hotel to the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida, where SmackDown was live tonight.

"Never." George said, turning and giving her a look. "If you hated Heavy Metal music, all you had to do was say so and I would've put Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley on. I was singing that song well in the car and you switched it on purpose. Be honest, I have a shit singing voice, don't I? God knows my damn sisters and brothers say the same."

Patricia's jaw dropped to the floor. "I literally sneezed!"

"Oh that's what they all say," George didn't want to hear it.

"Unbelievable." She throws up her hands. "I offered to go back."

"The moment was ruined already, there was no bringing it back." George says.

"There's just no pleasing you, is there?" Patricia sighed.

"Buy me a pizza and I'll think real hard on it." George said with a smirk.

"The heck are you two arguing about?" Glenn Jacobs (Kane) asked, stopping to look at them.

"She hates my singing voice." George pointed at the offended blonde who grabbed his finger and twisted. "Yow! Yow! Yow!"

"Watch where you point that finger, boyo." Patricia warned with a finger point of her own.

Glenn shook his head with a smile. "Let me guess, he was listening to Metallica?"

"He do that with you?" Patricia asked.

"Every time when Mark and I are in the car with him." Glenn sighed. "We always have Metallica or AC/DC songs stuck in our heads by the time we arrive at the arena."

"Oi! A. I'm standing right here. And B. I didn't hear Mark complaining." George said, glaring at Glenn for not having his back. "Seriously, dude, you're meant to have my back!"

Glenn snorts. "Experience has taught me not to argue against a woman."

"Ha!" Patricia laughed in victory.

"Unbelievable. No respect at all." George sighed, walking off.

"Wait! We can listen to Country music on the way back to the hotel!" Patricia said as she chased after him.

"Fuck off with that!"

"Hey! Don't you dare diss Country music!"

"Just because you wear a cowgirl hat does not mean you are Texan!"

"It looks sexy!"

"It's an old look!"

"Are you saying I'm not sexy?!"

"...No comment."

"You bastard!"

Glenn chuckles and shakes his head. "They act like a married couple."

"I heard that!" George and Patricia shout. "Stop copying me! Stop it!"

On screen

SmackDown was live at the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida. Rikishi Phatu challenged Eddie Guerrero for the European Championship in the first match of the evening. As has been the case the past few weeks, Chyna accompanied Guerrero to the ring. Several times during the match, it appeared as though Rikishi was going to walk out of the Ice Palace with the European Championship. However, a World Wrestling Federation title cannot change hands on a disqualification - Rikishi won the match via disqualification when Chyna interfered on behalf of Eddie Guerrero.

After the match, Triple H, Shane and Stephanie addressed the capacity crowd. Shane spoke first, commending Triple H for what he did to The Rock last Monday. Triple H and Shane then hugged in the middle of the ring. From there, Triple H spoke to a backstage Rock. He told The Rock that it doesn't matter how much blood, sweat and tears he loses, he will never be better that him. The Rock's music immediately hit the arena and The Great One appeared on the top of the ramp. The Rock informed Triple H that nothing could stop him from ending the champ's title reign at Backlash. From there, Triple H told The Rock to grab the Acolytes, he would get Bull Buchanan and Big Boss Man, and they would all compete in a six man tag team match later on in the evening.

Next up, the Hardys battled Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko of the Radicals. The speed and athleticism of both teams involved made this match an instant classic. Both teams also displayed great endurance, as this match never wanted to end. However, when it did end, it was the Hardys who walked out with their hands raised in victory after Jeff hit Dean with the senton bomb.

Federation Hardcore Champion Crash Holly defended his title against Perry Saturn. Saturn's hardcore background proved to be enough - the Radical pinned Crash for the title after kicking a baking pan in his face. However, immediately after the match, Tazz ran to the ring and Pearl Harbored Saturn. Tazz then pinned Saturn, thus capturing the Hardcore Championship. Not long thereafter, Crash hit Tazz with a steel baking pan, knocking him out long enough for the pin. Crash ran out with Hardcore Championship.

After the commercial break, Kurt Angle teamed up with Big Show - who was dressed in a kilt - to battle Edge and Christian for the Tag Team Championship. Prior to the match, the team of Angle and Big Show argued with each other regarding Show's appearance. Their disagreement followed them into the match, as well. Angle and Show battled outside of the ring and were eventually counted out.

Next up, the Bladewolf takes on Albert.

In the arena, T&A's theme hits and out comes the duo with Trish Stratus walking between them as the bell rings and Tony Chimel begins introductions. "The following contest is scheduled for one-fall! making his way to the ring, accompanied by Trish Stratus and Test, he weighs in at 347 lbs... ALBERT!"

"This past Monday on RAW, Albert powerbombed the Bladewolf in the middle of the ring." Cole said as replays from that moment play for the viewers at home. "Thanks to another distraction by Trish Stratus, who seems to be getting into the Bladewolf's head a lot ever since the RAW after WrestleMania where she cost him the WWF Championship. After the powerbomb, this match was made and now we'll see these two monsters go at it tonight. But let's hope the Bladewolf can focus on Albert, and not be put into a trance fixed on trish Stratus as weve been seeing these past couple of weeks."

Albert, Test and Trish enter the ring and the T&A theme soon dies down before they wait for Albert's opponent.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf plays to a pop from the crowd before the pyro explodes on the stage and out comes the Bladewolf to a thunderous ovation from the fans. "And his opponent. From Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs... THE BLADEWOLF!"

"This man has quite honestly been on the verge of snapping and destroying everything in his path." Cole said as the Bladewolf makes his way down towards the ring. "And it's all thanks to Trish Stratus."

"Hey, hey, leave her alone." Jerry defended the young woman. "So she has good looks and Bladewolf's entranced by her, what man wouldn't?"

"Whatever it is, it seems to be working. The Bladewolf I know wouldn't have hesitated to Chokeslam her and leave her broken body in the middle of the ring from day one." Cole said.

"Well, aren't you cruel?" Jerry frowned at him.

Bladewolf gets onto the ring apron and stares down Albert who stares back. Bladewolf then steps over the top rope... AND THEY GO AT IT!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"Oh! here we go!" Jerry said as Bladewolf and Albert throw fists at each other.

"The Bladewolf against Albert." Cole said

Albert gets Bladewolf in the corner and throws a series of rights t him, forcing the former WWF Champion to cover up before Albert hits a right that makes him stumble into another corner with Albert following, still continuing his assault. Bladewolf covered up again before he surprises Albert with a takedown and hammers away with lefts and rights.

"Bladewolf! hammering away here on Albert." Cole said. "He is probably not happy with what happened on RAW, being laid out by Albert."

"Yeah." Jerry nodded.

Bladewolf gets to his feet and Albert gets to his before he runs at Bladewolf with a yell but gets a huge clothesline that floors him. Bladewolf gets to his feet, runs, bounces off the ropes, comes running back before he leaps and hits the Atomic Leg Drop across Albert's throat.

"Oh! What a leg drop!" Cole said as Bladewolf holds the shoulders down. "Shoulders down!"

"One!"

"Two!

"Thr-!

Albert kicks out at two.

"Kickout by Albert." Cole said before Trish starts walking up to the apron. "Uh-oh. What is she thinking? The Bladewolf in control of Albert."

Bladewolf pulls Albert to his feet and goes for an irish whip but Albert reverses it and sends Bladewolf towards the ropes where Trish was standing but he froze right in his tacks and stared at her as she put her hands on her hips and spread her legs out a little with that annoying smirk on her face.

"Uh-oh." Jerry said.

"Oh, look out." Cole said before Bladewolf tries to grab Trish but she jumps down from the apron. "Bladewolf! Trying to grab Trish Stratus there. " Bladewolf turns into a running Bicycle Kick by Albert. "And Albert from behind!"

Albert hooks the leg. "One!"

"Two!"

"There's two!" Cole said.

"Thre-!"

Bladewolf powers out at two.

"Bladewolf gets the shoulder up." Cole said as Trish is shown. "And I'll tell you, King, Trish Stratus is playing with fire. She is basically walking into the wolf's lair and poking him with a stick. Why in the hell would you ever want to annoy or anger the Demon Wolf of Destruction?

"She's not afraid of him!" Jerry said. "Though I myself am shocked at how she can get that close to him and not be destroyed like Bladewolf would do to anyone else."

Albert pulls Bladewolf to his feet and kicks him in the stomach, forcing him into the corner. Albert then gives a hard Irish whip into the opposite corner, causing Bladewolf to bounce off it and gets picked up by Albert... AND HITS A SIDEWALK SLAM!

"Sidewalk Slam!" Cole exclaimed as Albert hooks the leg. "Hook of the leg!"

"One!"

"Two!"

"Thre-!"

"Bladewolf kicks out again as Trish looks on." Cole said as Trish watches closely.

"That Trish knew exactly what she was doing when she set up the Bladewolf." Jerry said.

"She did. Ever since that little set up, Albert's been in control of this match." Cole said.

Albert scoops Bladewolf up and slams him to the mat before he goes up to the second turnbuckle, looks to Test then to Trish before he jumps off for a belly splash... BUT BLADEWOLF ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!

"Oh!" Jerry exclaimed.

"Albert taking a little too much time and the Bladewolf capitalized." Cole said.

Albert stumbles to his feet and turns into a clothesline. Albert gets to his feet quickly and turns into another clothesline. Bladewolf grabs him, Irish whips him into the corner before running and hits the turnbuckle clothesline. Albert stumbles forward only for Bladewolf to lift him onto his shoulder.

"Look at the strength!" Jerry shouted.

"Bladewolf with Albert on his shoulder here!" Cole said.

Bladewolf walks forward... AND HITS SNAKE EYES!

"Snake Eyes!" Cole shouted as Bladewolf runs, bounces off the ropes... AND FLOORS ALBERT WITH THE BIG BOOT! "Followed by the Big boot! And the Bladewolf is gaining control of the match again."

Bladewolf flips his hair back and adjusts his right elbow pad briefly before he eyes Albert while raising his right hand, causing the crowd to start cheering as they know what he is signalling.

"We know what that means, King." Cole said.

"Oh yeah." Jerry said with a grin. "Chokeslam time!"

Albert gets to his feet and turns... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Albert up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

"Chokeslam!" Cole shouted.

Bladewolf stands over Albert before he does the throat slit gesture across his neck to more cheers from the fans before he grabs Albert and lifts him up into his shoulders in a fireman's carry position. He stands in the middle of the ring... AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF!

"Fury of the Wolf!" Cole shouted as Bladewolf goes for the cover. "The leg is hooked!"

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.

"He got him!" Jerry said.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf lays on his side. "Here is your winner... THE BLADEWOLF!"

Bladewolf starts getting to his feet... WHEN TEST ATTACKS HIM FROM BEHIND!

"Test from behind!" Cole shouted.

Test beats down Bladewolf with stomps before he pulls him to his feet and starts setting him up for a Powerbomb... WHEN BLADEWOLF LIFTS HIM ONTO HIS SHOULDERS AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF!

"Fury of the Wolf to Test!" Cole shouted.

"Wow..." Jerry said.

"Both Test and Albert have been laid out by the Demon Wolf." Cole said. "Payback for Monday night."

Bladewolf looks down at Test and Albert before he turns his gaze to Trish, who is looking at her boys with slight disdain but her gaze turns more interested as she locks eyes with Bladewolf and smiles alluringly at him. She turns and starts walking back up the ramp, putting a sway in her hips as Bladewolf watches, tilting his head like Michael Myers.

"I don't think we've seen the last of whatever is going on between these two." Cole said.

"Yeah." Jerry nodded.

SmackDown went to commercial break afterwards...

And that's it for this chapter folks. I hope you all enjoyed it.
