1. Edge and Christian (c) vs D-Generation X w/Tori in a Tag Team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship.
2. Dean Malenko (c) vs Scotty 2 Hotty in a Singles match for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.
3. The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan vs The APA in a Tag Team match.
4. Crash Holly (c) vs Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy vs Hardcore Holly vs Perry Saturn vs tazz in a Six-Pack Hardcore match for the WWF Hardcore Championship.
5. Big Show vs Kurt Angle in a Singles match.
6. The Bladewolf vs T&A w/Trish Stratus in a Two-on-One Handicap match.
7. Eddie Guerrero (c) w/Chyna vs Essa Rios w/Lita in a Singles match for the WWF European Championship.

WWF Backlash was live at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C., The event opened with Edge and Christian defending the WWF Tag Team Championship against D-Generation X (X-Pac and Road Dogg). X-Pac performed an X-Factor on Edge but the referee was distracted, allowing Christian to attack X-Pac with the ring bell. Christian pinned X-Pac to retain the titles.
Dean Malenko defended the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Scotty 2 Hotty. The finish of the match saw Scotty attempt a Superplex on Malenko, who countered into a Super DDT on Scotty to retain the title.
The APA (Faarooq and Bradshaw) faced The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan. Boss Man attacked Bradshaw with a nightstick and Buchanan performed a Diving Scissors Kick on Bradshaw to win the match.
Crash Holly defended the WWF Hardcore Championship against Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Hardcore Holly, Perry Saturn, and Tazz. Tazz applied the Tazzmission on Hardcore Holly but Saturn hit Tazz with a Stop sign to break the hold. After Matt and Jeff dove onto Saturn and Hardcore Holly, Crash pinned Tazz to retain the title.
The Big Show, impersonating Hulk Hogan as "The Showster", faced Kurt Angle. Big Show performed a Chokeslam on Angle to win the match.
Next, the Bladewolf takes on T&A in a Two-on-One Handicap match.
In the arena...
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays to a pop from the crowd before the pyro explodes on the stage and out comes the Bladewolf to a thunderous ovation from the fans. "The following contest is a two-on-one Handicap match! Making his way to the ring, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs... THE BLADEWOLF!"
"The question is, can the Bladewolf overcome his... infatuation with Trish Stratus and focus on the match?" JR asked. "Trish has gotten into the Bladewolf's head these past few weeks, ever since she cost him the WWF Championship the night after WrestleMania."
"He loves her, JR!" Jerry said. "I'm telling you, the Bladewolf has finally felt love in his dark life!"
"The Bladewolf, the younger brother of the Undertaker and Kane, has had quite a dark life indeed, and I always figured romance wasn't something he was interested in." JR said. "His brother, Kane, has fallen in love and that ended badly for him back in January. But the Bladewolf is a silent machine of destruction. He does not speak, he just destroys but Trish seems to calm him down, makes him hesitate, she's something he doesn't know whether to destroy or not. He knows only one thing and that's to cause pain to others, to destroy."
"It's a tale of Beauty and the Beast!" Jerry said. "Like King King and Anne Darrow from that 1933 film."
The Bladewolf climbs onto the ring apron and steps over the top rope. He paces back and fourth in the ring as his theme dies down and the lights return to normal, staring at the entrance-way.
T&A's theme hits and out they come with Trish Stratus walking between them. "And his opponents, being accompanied by Trish Stratus, at a combined weight of 629 lbs... T&A!"
"Look at the Bladewolf." jerry said, the camera showing the Bladewolf was pacing back and fourth as he watched his opponents make their way down to the ring. "He's like a impatient animal!"
"He wants to finish this, to destroy that which is making him weak." JR said.
"I think he likes her outfit." Jerry said, referring to Trish's pink attire which was a bra-like top and short shorts. "Oh baby! Trish looks hot!"
"Wouldn't use those words, but she does look beautiful." JR nodded.
Test and albert enter the ring while Trish stays outside at ringside, and even gives Bladewolf a little mocking wave which causes him to step forward but T&A get in his way and he looks between them before he double clotheslines them.
"Oh!" Jerry exclaimed as the referee quickly calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"Bladewolf with a double clothesline to Test and Albert." JR said as Bladewolf grabs Albert and throws him out of the ring. "Throwing Albert out of the ring, he's starting off with Test!"
Bladewolf grabs Test and drives his knee repeatedly into his stomach before Irish whipping him into the corner, runs for a turnbuckle clothesline but Test moves out the way and Bladewolf stops himself, snapping his head around to glare at Test who smirks and mouths off at him.
"That might not be a smart move." JR said as Bladewolf and Test circled one another. "The Bladewolf is angry enough as it is."
Bladewolf and Test lock up and have a test of strength with each other before Bladewolf overpowers Test and throws him into the corner, landing a fury of punches to the face of Test, causing him to cover up as Bladewolf starts throwing lefts and rights, causing the referee to try and separate them but Bladewolf whirls on the referee, scaring him back. Bladewolf turns, runs a Test but gets an elbow to his masked face by test, who then floors the former WWF Champion with a clothesline.
"What a clothesline!" JR said as Trish clapped in approval.
"God, look at Trish." Jerry said dreamily.
"Will you stop?" Cole rolled his eyes.
"Test and Albert have got a lot of potential, especially with Trish in their corner." Jerry said.
Test grabs Bladewolf and pulls him to his feet, Irish whips him into the ropes and floors him with a big boot to the face. He then hooks the leg.
"The cover!" JR said.
"One!"
"Two-!"
Bladewolf kicks out at two.
"Kick out by the former WWF Champion." JR said as test starts hammering away on the masked face of the Bladewolf.
Test pulls Bladewolf to his feet and goes for an Irish whip but Bladewolf halts himself, twirls around and pulls Test into a hard clothesline of his own. Bladewolf flips his hair back and gets to his feet before he runs, bounces off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop to the chest of Test before going for the cover.
"One!"
"Two-!"
Test kicks out at two.
"Test kicking out." Cole said.
Bladewolf gets to a knee and locks eyes with Trish, standing up as Trish smirks and teases him with her body, swaying seductively. Bladewolf takes a step forward when Test makes the tag to Albert who runs up and clobbers Bladewolf from behind.
"Oh! The distraction paid off!" JR said as Albert and Test stomp away on the Bladewolf. "And now T&A go to work. And this is what makes them a dangerous team, King. Trish Stratus knows how to distract their opponents and it gives Test and Albert a chance to attack."
"Right." Jerry nodded.
Test gets out onto the ring apron as Albert pulls Bladewolf to his feet and Irish whips him into the corner, runs and hits the turnbuckle clothesline. Albert then scoops Bladewolf up and hits a sidewalk slam. Albert gets to his feet, runs, bounces off the rpes and hits a huge belly splash to the chest of the Bladewolf.
"Oh!" JR exclaimed.
"That had to hurt!" Jerry said.
"It had to." JR nodded.
Albert gets to his feet and grabs the Bladewolf, pulls him to his feet and Irish whips him towards the ropes, but Test sneakily knees Bladewolf in the back, causing the Demon Wolf to stumble into a Bicycle kick by Albert, who then goes for the cover.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thr-!"
Bladewolf kicks out at two.
"Kickout by the Bladewolf." JR said.
Albert gets to his feet and lands a kick to Bladewolf's ribcage before pulling him to his feet, Irish whips him only to pull him back, lifts him up... AND HITS SPINEBUSTER! Albert then runs, bounces off the ropes and lands a running elbow drop right to the chest of the Demon Wolf. Albert gets to his feet, drags Bladewolf over to his corner and tags in Test. Together, the two of them stomp away on Bladewolf in the corner before they pull him to his feet, Irish whip him off the ropes... AND FLOOR HIM WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!
"Double clothesline by T&A!" JR said.
"That was nice!" Jerry nodded in approval as Trish clapped. "See? Trish agrees with me!"
"The Bladewolf in trouble here." JR said.
Albert gets out onto the ring apron while Test stomps away on Bladewolf before he pulls him to his feet and rams him into the corner, driving his shoulder repeatedly into Bladewolf's stomach, then Irish whips him off the ropes and floors him with another huge clothesline. Test gets to his feet and shouts down at the Bladewolf, trash talking him.
"And now the trash talking begins." JR said... BEFORE A HAND GRABS TEST BY THE THROAT! "Uh-oh!"
"Oh no!" Jerry said.
Bladewolf gets to his feet, glaring at Test but before he can go for the Chokeslam, he is attacked from behind by Albert. Now Test and Albert stomp away on him again.
"Albert saving his partner." JR said.
"That's teamwork." Jerry nodded.
The duo get Bladewolf into the corner where they continue to stomp and punch away at him before they back up. Albert then runs for a turnbuckle clothesline... BUT BLADEWOLF MOVES OUT OF THE WAY!
"Missed!" JR shouted as Bladewolf unloads on Test with a fury of lefts and rights. "And here comes the Bladewolf!"
Albert comes to his partner's aid but Bladewolf whirls around and gives him the same treatment before he ducks a right hand by Albert, bounces off the ropes... AND HITS THE SPEAR ON ALBERT!
"Spear! A Spear to Albert!" JR shouted.
"No!" Jerry shouted as well.
Bladewolf gets to his feet, ducks a right hand from Test who turns around... INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Test up off his feet... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
"Chokeslam! A Chokeslam to Test!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf flips his hair back and does the cutthroat taunt to cheers from the fans. He grabs Test and lifts him onto his right shoulder, looking for the Tombstone when Trish suddenly gets onto the ring apron.
"What's Trish doing?!" Jerry said.
"Not again!" JR said.
Bladewolf drops Test and walks towards her, tilting his head. Trish gets into the ring and presses her body against Bladewolf's with a smirk on her face, pressing her breasts into his chest. She then... PULLS HIM INTO A KISS! Her tongue plunges into his mouth through the mask and Bladewolf is frozen as she kisses him before pulling away with a smirk, thinking her charm has worked... WHEN BLADEWOLF GRABS HER BY THE THROAT!
"What?!" Jerry shouted.
"Trish is caught!" JR shouted before Bladewolf lifts Trish up... AND PLANTS HER WITH A CHOKESLAM! "Chokeslam! He did it! The old Bladewolf is back! He finally Chokeslammed her without hesitation!"
"Poor Trish!" Jerry cried out.
Bladewolf glares down at Trish before he whirls around and spots Test staggering to his feet and rams the man into the corner, driving his shoulder repeatedly into his stomach before he pulls him close and hits a belly-to-belly suplex.
"Nice belly-to-belly!" JR complimented.
Bladewolf walks over, grabs Test from behind and hits a German Suplex.
"German Suplex!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf walks over to Test, grabs him from behind and hits another German Suplex. He walks over, grabs Test from behind and hits a third German Suplex. he holds on as he hits another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another..
"Good grief!" JR shouted.
"How many German Suplexs can he do?!" Jerry wondered.
Bladewolf gets to his feet, ducks a right from Albert, grabs him from behind and hits a German Suplex. He holds on as he hits another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another.
"Now Albert gets the same treatment." JR said.
Bladewolf flips his hair back, his shoulders heaving, before he grabs Test and Albert by their throats, stands in the middle of the ring with them before he lifts them up... AND PLANTS THEM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
"Double Chokeslam!" JR said as Bladewolf does the throat slit gesture across his neck. "And the end is near for T&A!"
However, as Bladewolf was going to finish this, Trish got to her feet and shouted at Bladewolf, causing him to look over at her before she gripped her upper attire... AND RIPPED IT OFF! Underneath was a smaller, form-fitting bra which reallly showed off her breasts.
"Woah!" Jerry's eyes widened and his jaw dropped as he stared like every other male fan in the crowd.
Bladewolf stared at her, entranced and falling for her charm once again as he starts to walk towards her... WHEN TEST AND ALBERT ATTACK FROM BEHIND! Albert holds Bladewolf up and Test runs... AND HITS THE BIG BOOT ON BLADEWOLF! Albert then picks Bladewolf up... AND HITS THE POWERBOMB! test hooks the legs!
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
"T&A have defeated the Bladewolf!" JR said.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
T&A's theme played as they get to their feet while Bladewolf laid limp and lifeless. "Here are your winners... T&A!"
"Once again, the Bladewolf loses thanks to Trish." JR said as replays of the match were shown. "The Bladewolf had this one won, but Trish pulled off another distraction to Bladewolf and it gave T&A the chance to win."
"Look at this, Jr." Jerry said as Trish stands over Bladewolf before she looks at T&A and tells them something. She backs off as Test and Albert start stomping away on the Bladewolf.
"Oh come on! Stop that!" JR shouted.
Albert runs, bounces off the ropes and hits a leg drop across Bladewolf's throat. Test goes up to the top turnbuckle before he jumps off... AND HITS AN ELBOW DROP TO THE CHEST OF THE BLADEWOLF! The duo pull Bladewolf to his feet, grab him by his throat before lifting him up... NA D PLANTS HIM WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
'Bladewolf! Bladewolf! Bladewolf!' The fans chanted, trying to will Bladewolf back into this fight but it isn't working.
Test and Albert kick Bladewolf out of the ring and slide out. They grab him and look at the steel steps before nodding. Albert walks over and picks up the steel steps while Test holds Bladewolf's arms back. Albert... DRIVES THE STEEL STEPS INTO BLADEWOLF'S SKULL!
"Steel steps right off the skull!" JR shouted.
Test and Albert toss Bladewolf back into the ring and Bladewolf weakly looks up to see Trish standing on the apron. He reaches out to her weakly but falls down and rolls onto his back... and doesn't move again. Trish looks uncertain for a moment, looking like she wanted to go to see if he was okay but she got down off the apron and walked away with Test and Albert.
"King, I'm... I'm shocked here." JR said. "Have we seen the end of the Bladewolf?"
Bladewolf remains unmoving for several seconds before he starts to twitch. He struggles to even sit up and falls back down, blood starts spitting out the mouth area of his mask, and he starts twitching and turning like he was being possessed. He soon finally stops and lays completely still. The fans don't know what is going on as the camera zooms in on the mask, seeing the eyes of the Bladewolf were shut... BEFORE THEY SNAPPED OPEN!
The lights then go out, the arena bathed in total darkness for several seconds.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The lights turn on... ND THE BLADEWOLF IS GONE! However, laying in the middle of the ring was the Bladewolf's mask. The fans were shocked and surprised before a demonic laughter is heard as the lights dim to the sinister blood red and dark blue, thunder and lightning happening as the demonic laughter continues. Fire explodes from the turnbuckles as the laughter continues. Only one questionw as on everyone's minds.
