Of course if you want to see the SCP's contained in our universe just look it up on their website but what about in the Cinematic or any other Universe? They are contained right here in this little collection called the Horror Movie Files!

SCP#: AAN

Code Name: Cockroach men/ The Judas Breed

Object Class: Apollyon

Special Containment Procedures: Any surviving SCP-AAN instances are to be kept at containment Site-AA. Due to the adaptive abilities of SCP-AAN instances, containment has deemed unnecessary and dangerous. Instead, any and all instances found by the Foundation are to be transported to Site-AA to be experimented, harvested, then neutralized. No SCP-AAN is allowed to survive for any longer than 1 year.

Mobile Task Force Hera-1: The Underground Purge, are entrusted to locate, contain, and/ or kill any and all SCP-AAN instances.

Description: SCP-AAN is a colony of ever evolving and mutating cockroaches mixed with human, mantis, and termite DNA. SCP-AAN have grown vital human organs within them bodes such as lungs that have allowed them to grow to their human size. Notably SCP-AAN instances do have a mimicry hunting mechanism where they can wrap their wings and shells around themselves to look like it's a black raincoat and they have a shell-like membrane on their face that can attach and un-attach at will. Said membrane tends to resemble an extremely generic facial structure of a human male. Though when up close its distantly obvious what an SCP-AAN instances are, when at a distance an SCP-AAN is seemingly no different from a human in a large black coat.

Like termites, SCP-AAN tend to have hierarchies based on gender thought this is not as consistent. Due to SCP-AAN's rapid mutations several colonies have formed within the underground subway stations of New York City. SCP-AAN instances are just as tall if not taller than the average human.

SCP-AAN colonies, regardless of having kings or queens, typically only have a warrior/ hunter class in the hierarchy. SCP-AAN have not evolved to create workers to maintain colonies due to them being more adaptive to sewers and subways. SCP-AAN instances are extremely weak to blunt damage, firearms, dismemberment, and burning damage. However, like cockroaches, they can survive without their heads and even without their vital organs. The longest an SCP-AAN instance has managed to survive without either is about 4 months. The longest an SCP-AAN instance has lived in peak condition is about 40 years.

SCP-AAN instances have been known to be resilient in not only survival but also extremely adaptive considering camouflage. Agents and MTF Hera-1 units have reported SCP-AAN instances that are able to form their "masks" to look more like specific people they regularly observe. There was even one instance where an SCP-AAN instance managed to skin a human being and wear their skin and clothes with almost complete efficiency. Because of their long lifespan, resilience, anomalous camouflaging abilities they have been deemed too dangerous to contain.

SCP-AAN was discovered in 1997, three years before, a scientist by the name of [data expunged] foolishly created a cockroach, mantis, and termite hybrid bug. The purpose of creating these progenitors of the SCP-AAN instances was to sterilize and kill the cockroaches, the main carriers of the "Strickler's disease". Thought the project was initially a success it also allowed the surviving cockroaches to mutate. It was later revealed that the sterilization and suicide genes implemented in the hybrid bugs only worked on cockroaches with the disease, the others without the disease were free to breed and evolve. The scientists responsible were later found and apprehended by the foundation to be processed as D-Class personal, as punishment for the creation of SCP-AAN.

Originally SCP-AAN instances were to be culled and contained by MTF Lambda-12 However after the annihilation of at least three Lambda-12 squads MTF Hera-1 was created. MTF Hera-1 is comprised of AFA-2 with experimental reality concealment armor, anomalous biomass tracking visors, necrosis bullet rifles, and stun grenades. Originally MTF Hera-1 was given experimental chemical viruses to cull large amounts of SCP-AAN instances and even entire colonies. However, after [data expunged] this method of extermination was discontinued.

Foundation Staff of Site-AA tried to properly contain a few SCP-AAN instances, however this led to the birth of worker class SCP-AAN instances that quickly destroyed the containment cells their predecessors were in. After [data expunged] containment breaches It was decided that SCP-AAN was better off Neutralized than contained. Efforts to arm MTF Hera-1 with more effective weapons to kill SCP-AAN instances are ongoing.

Update: 2/28/2006 - SCP-AAN instances have been seen invading apartment complexes of New York City and some have started migrating to Connecticut, New Jersey, and the entire of the State of New York. As such, SCP-AAN's object class is to be changed from Keter to Apollyon.

Update: 4/20/2018 - SCP-AAN instances have been reported in the sewer systems of every major city in the U.S. thought they are not as numerous as they once were they still pose a major threat.
