PART 1
Flashback
Darkness.
That was the thing that one could see from the eyrie of one's surroundings. All you could ever see was war and corpses. At least, that is what a very young Serafall Sitri, wearing an elegant black dress, would experience, making her a little bitter and serious.
She walks through the ruins of a city of the Underworld. She can still hear the fires of spells cast in volleys from afar, like yellowish sparks and other colorful lines. Magical swords and spears and clubs. Inherent power, flared from one to another, with different ideals clashing from all directions. Devil against devil. Brother against brother. One side with those who desire peace above all else, tired of war and death, while the other desires the continuation of the darker plans and stratagem of the old rulers of devilkind.
But why? Why must they continue to fight?
That was something that Serafall wanted to always ask even as she felt the cold shivers run down her spine. She can still remember her first fresh kill. A few old friends had tried to attack Serafall, Sirzechs, and a few of their allies, forcing her to use her powers to take them down in the most permanent and efficient way possible. Before, she tried to find ways to restrain her opponents. She did not want to shed the bloodshed of fellow devils. But there was nothing that can be done. Right now, there was a war. Now, there were two sides. One of the old and one of the new.
Serafall belonged to the new revolutionary faction under the leadership of Sirzechs Lucifer. As far as everyone had been concerned, she was Sirzechs most trusted woman and second in command, leading the new faction against the old, corrupt, and obsolete faction that wanted to revive the plan for world domination. Such insanity and malice based on that plan could only make Serafall shiver.
What was the point of continuing on the legacy of their old forefathers? Hadn't their kind done enough damage to the world during the Great War? Hadn't the permanent defeat of Lucifer himself and of his cohorts signaled that now was the time to stand down and make peace?
But alas, it was not so simple. Serafall was too naïve to think that everyone wanted peace. Peace is what they want but on their own terms. Peace can be a relative word that can describe the nature and viewpoints of so many individuals. The Old Satan Faction wants peace, but in their own perspective and terminology. That meant that the entire world, both human and supernatural spheres, would bow down to the devils and their kind, that the devils are the supreme above all else, fulfilling the long awaited desire of their creator, the once magnificent among the Angels, turned into the hideous and terrifying Devil, Lucifer Morningstar.
It was very late at night. The purple skies, with all their grandeur and beauty, were seen as providing a stark contrast to the bloody soil that was littered with the wings of bat-like humanoid corpses. Serafall did not want to look up at the skies. She did not want to. It would remind her too much of her innocent days. Of how before this bloody and senseless war, she and others once looked up at the sky as friends and family.
Now the sky felt like a curse. Heaven felt like a mockery to the bygone days long before. As Serafall walked with both of her cold feet that hummed upon her boots, with a serious, bittered expression, etched on her face, she would press on towards a certain building that once held a kind of church. A church of Satan if you will. Just as humans have their religion and God, the devils have their own religion and god to whom they worship, even when this god is long dead, struck down by Michael the Archangel and his forces in the final decisive battle.
Serafall would enter through the building of goth architecture through a hole in the wall. What was she doing at a place like this? Simple. Someone very unlikely had asked her to come. Would one believe that it is Azazel himself, the Governor of the Fallen Angels, who had asked for her and her alone? Yes, quite unbelievable. There were naturally of course questions and suspicions from herself, and from Sirzechs as well. Why would Azazel of all people be here?
But...
There was something in those eyes that Serafall could never ignore. The eyes of the Fallen Angel Governor can stare deeply into their souls. The eyes of a well-embittered and resolving war veteran. He was not joking. He was serious. A very stark contrast to the reputation that he had built himself over all of the known factions of the supernatural.
"I am not here to fight you both, Lord Sirzechs Gremory and Lady Serafall Sitri. Rather, I come on my own terms, no one else involved, no one from my faction, and I have come only to propose a simple deal that can prove beneficial for you both."
And one of the deals was this secret meeting that would be conducted momentarily. Sirzechs entrusted Serafall to personally be in the meeting, most noteworthy however was Azazel's preference that only Serafall would attend the meeting. But why? It was a grave risk to trust this fallen angel, but his arguments would convince them at least of his genuine nature. It was not like they had anything left to lose if they were to entertain the fallen angel's request. Like making a deal with the devil. Oh, the irony...
"Good, you're here, Lady Sitri."
And there he was. Azazel in all of his shadowy glory, wearing an old grey coat and aristocratic attire. His eyes would temporarily sport a hint of relief among other general concerns as he looked at Serafall, before his eyes would look back to another direction and darkened as it were. He was seen resting his back against the stone walls while looking at a picture of Lucifer Morningstar, the creator of devilkind. His eyes however were one of bitterness, disappointment, grieving, and other mixture of expressions that Serafall could see within the shadows of this church.
Oh yes, Lucifer was in a way the older brother of the angels before he inevitably fell to become who he now is. An angel that had so far fallen from grace, turning into the first devil, out of defiance to the Creator, leading a third of the angels to fall with him. Lucifer, in this sense, would be Azazel's older brother.
What were the thoughts of Azazel as he looked into the picture of his late older brother?
Nothing positive, that is what Serafall would tend to think. Strange, she thought. This Azazel and the Azazel of reputation were quite different in tone.
"Quite impressive, Eagle, to be able to convince the two devils to this secret agreement."
Serafall, sporting a surprised look, would turn towards another direction. Out of the shadows, there was an old man with grey hear and a facial beard. He was wearing aristocratic attire consisting of a black shirt, with an attached black cape, and black pants. He also wore white gloves to cover his hands and black shoes that lightly echoed in footsteps. One of his hands carries a black walking stick.
"I would have personally found this tactic to be rather bold, but considering that history turns through every circumstance of this war, it may as well be of a necessity," the man continued speaking with a grim tone and an undecipherable expression.
Serafall could not help but sport a shocked expression on her face as she laid eyes on the one person that she did not expect to see.
"...Kischur...Zelretch...Schweinorg?"
With every word from Serafall's lips, she could not help but utter in dread and out of respect. For this man was someone who had quite a reputation throughout the entirety of the human and supernatural worlds. A man who had once been a student under King Solomon, the King of Magecraft. Known by various names and titles that had passed on in history. He was the Wizard Marshall who battled against the dreaded Brunestud of the Crimson Moon and came out the victor, saving the world from a dark and damnable fate. The man who firmly wields the Second Magic—Operation of Parallel Worlds.
But...what is he doing here along with Azazel?
"Moonwalker," Azazel spoke with a grim tone, still looking at the picture of his older brother that was seen on the wall. "You may as well give this fine lady what she needs for this war. It is after all the very purpose behind this secret meeting, and I do not want to waste any time more than needed. We both should not even be here after all and I would prefer that this meeting does not get stumbled upon by any random devil as it is more than possible, what with the battles going on just a few kilometers away."
"Ah, of course," Zelretch would immediately snap his fingers, and lo and behold, something mysterious would begin to happen.
A very long pink staff that had a star encircled and attached to the center, along with two black wings attached to the sides of the staff. It was hovering and coming closer to Serafall, making her blink a little as she sensed a very powerful signature.
"My gift to you, Lady Sitri, as it is the purpose behind the meeting that commences upon this night, and this is one that I took many liberties to create," Zelretch spoke with a serious tone.
"...Greetings to you, my lady," the Kaleidostick would utter with respect. "My name is Levi Numbers, and upon the command of Lord Schweinorg, I will now be bound to serve and advise you to the best of my capabilities."
And thus began the birth of a true magical girl in the midst of a bloody civil war.
PART 2
Present Time
Somewhere in the laboratory, in one of the complexes where there was a giant machine present, all connected with wires and bolts, there was Azazel. His expression was dark, his eyes flashed and narrowed, and he felt like sweat would erupt from his brow out of anxiety and dread for what he just saw on the holographic screen. Tabane wasn't doing any better. Even she, with all of her cheery and lighthearted demeanor, would grow cold at the sight of The Monster that briefly appeared before vanishing from the cracks.
When they first saw Nullus on screen, and even before that, Azazel sensed his presence, he and Tabane scrambled to get to work on closing the cracks immediately. Actually, it would not be out of place to say that Nullus was felt everywhere, from every region of the Earth, and from every supernatural dimension. At that point, Azazel realized that Nullus, when he was seen from the portal, was deliberately invoking a fraction of his aura for everyone among the higher totem pole to notice. But why?
Azazel turns his thoughts to Tenguu City. Maybe that was Nullus' goal. Let everyone important watch Tenguu City, the home city of the famous superhero, Black RX. It's like he wanted to draw attention. Then again, with the contributing factor of Mio's arrival already having been sensed by everyone, this defeats the point of drawing attention. Unless of course, Nullus himself being a factor, already well-known as the boogeyman by this point, would be another deciding factor. Now the whole world is going to be watching the city from now on.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
"...?!"
As Tabane's bunny ears would twitch a little, Azazel would take something from his pocket. An advanced cellular phone, built by yours truly. He would check the phone and look at the identity of the caller from the screen. From the glint of his eyes, he recognized the call, and immediately, he pressed the button and raised it to his face.
"Yasaka," Azazel muttered, his tone being a mixture of gentleness, respect, and subtle affection.
"Dear...You felt it as much as I have, correct?"
Yasaka, the nine-tailed fox, a young woman with a voluptuous figure and very long blonde hair with matching eyes. Her appearance was noble and dignified, with her hair usually tied in a loose ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs that ends in a spiral, with taut bandages to keep it in place. She usually wears a traditional shrine maiden attire, and over that, she wore a white coat held closed by a red ribbon and a golden crown.
As people would know her, she is the revered leader of the West Youkai Faction and an important figure in supernatural politics. But to Azazel, the Last Angel, she was also his beloved wife, if only in secret. Yes, Azazel has more than one wife, though even then, that is limited to a significant few at most. Yasaka is more of a special case though for Azazel.
How so?
What most people probably don't know was that Azazel had been a father. Yes, no-brainer, he was a deadbeat dad. Did anyone really think that his sleeping with a ton of women over the years back in the day didn't have any consequences? Though, in this case, this is more of a special case. Back in his universe, he had a sort of fling or two with his Yasaka which admittedly developed into something more.
The one constant regret that lingered within Azazel was that he was never much of a presence in Kunou's life or that of her mother's. Mind you, that did not mean he didn't keep an eye on them from afar, but still, he figured that he is more of a danger to them and might get dragged into the problems of the Three Factions at the time if word got out that Kunou was truly his daughter, which is one of the reasons why both parents agreed to keep this quiet and make a believable cover story. That regret stemmed even more so from the fact that he can never truly see them again because of the War.
He was once a father in the old world. Now even that was taken from him by the War. And that added to his sorrow.
Now, in this new world and timeline, Azazel had been given a second chance as it were to finally become the father that he never had. As much as possible, he would spend time with Yasaka and Kunou. If he was busy in the lab, he would send them over to his lab so that they can live with him from time to time. The memories that he had with both of them were very precious to his old heart.
"Yes," Azazel nodded grimly. "Nullus appeared, though briefly, from a temporary crack that lead to another reality. He's gone for now so there is no need to worry ab out him at this time."
"...Thank the heavens," Yasaka sighed out of relief, her fox-like ears lowering down. Her left hand was patting her daughter Kunou who was scared and wanted to be by her mother's side.
"...Kunou is with you, isn't she?" Azazel said, a spark in his eyes showing the worry of a father.
"Yes," Yasaka nodded seriously. "And she's quite worried for her father. Do you want to talk to her?"
"Of course," Azazel nodded.
And so, Yasaka would lower the phone and give it to Kunou. The latter takes it and raises it to her ear while her mother was continuing to gently pat her hair in order to calm her down. Kunou was a young girl with golden blonde hair tied in a ponytail and matching golden eyes. She also had nine golden fox tails and matching ears.
"Hello, otou-sama," Kunou sported a look of worry.
"Yo, little one," Azazel spoke with a light casual demeanor, being cheerful and joyful on the inside for having to talk with his daughter. "If you're worried about me, don't be, cause your otou-sama is quite strong, you know."
"Hmm, I know that," Kunou nodded, not believing anything less. "Otou-sama is a superhero after all. But still..."
"Tell you what, you and your mother can come over at least to my lab and visit me, is that alright?" Azazel said.
"Really?!" Kunou became cheerful instantly, her fox-like ears and tail wagging. "Of course, otou-sama, okaa-sama and I will be happy to come."
"Kunou," Yasaka spoke gently. "Mind giving me the phone?"
Kunou obeyed as she gave it back to her mother for her to make use of it.
"I suppose that I should assume that I and my daughter would need to visit you for the time being," Yasaka smiled a little.
"That, and considering the circumstances, I feel that your presence as the Leader of the West Yokai Faction is needed for this hour. Myself, representing my faction, and the other leaders of the Three Factions, and followed by a few others, would attend this emergency meeting that may take place a few hours later," Azazel notified.
"And this would be about that circulation of spiritual energies and the cracks that appeared in every sky not too long ago, correct?" Yasaka, even as she smiled, carried a grim understanding.
"That's right," Azazel confirmed.
And as he confirms from the phone, he looks at Tabane, sporting a serious expression. Both of them were silently communicating of what they plan on doing next.
Shidou and Shinichiro were walking slowly. And accompanying them were a shaken Mana and Mayuri, along with a very quiet and pondering Ren. Walking through the corridors, the dark impression left on their minds was still at the forefront of their minds. The girls could never get over what had just happened.
For the current Spirits, Mayuri and Ren, they were quite confused as the last thing they remember, they were floating in an endless void, and they both saw Shidou and...what look like his doppelganger somewhat as there were a few differences, both of them transforming into armored figures and fighting against unknown creatures and machine drones from all directions. Then they get forcibly sent away from their present location and crash themselves on the ground, wearing their normal attires from previous encounters. And they saw Shidou, untransformed, and they saw the same doppelganger and the other angelic figure just standing nearby. They both saw Mana who was being held by Shidou.
And the girls, both Mana and the Spirits, would note the way that Shidou looked at them. He was on the verge of crying, trying his best to hold it in but could not. It was like he was very glad to see him again, as if he could never believe it to be so. His expression was very different from the other times when Shidou were to encounter them from time after time.
It's usually surprise and disbelief for the most part. But what separates this expression from all of those other times was his eyes. They...looked aged. It was out of place from the rest of his younger body. His eyes didn't signify a young teenager. He was old. So very old. They can even sense something off, like it had been about...hundreds? Hundreds and hundreds?
How long did Shidou Itsuka never saw them? More to the point, how old was Shidou Itsuka actually?
The atmosphere was nothing but dread. Both Mana and Mayuri were both holding on to Shidou, shaken by what they just saw. Ren was silently walking right beside them and did not opt to say a word. They did not feel like talking despite the multiple questions that would probably erupt from their mouths in every other circumstance.
The impression of that humanoid figure remained impressed on them. But it was the way the eyes of The Monster that made them disturbed. Even as the desecration was done, there was not a hint or trace of emotion. It was cold, calculating as ice. It was not making a move. It was just standing there, looking at each and every single one of them. And there was that element of dread that came over them. But why? Mayuri and Ren were very powerful Spirits in their own right.
However...
The humanoid figure towering over them made them lose a little if not more of their confidence. Just the look on its eyes made them tell at least something.
Do not engage, if you value your life.
And even as the halls were quiet, and none dared uttered a word, Mayuri and Ren could not help but feel a very familiar presence within this complex. Maternal warmth, a subtle signature of power, one that they hadn't felt in what seem to be forever. They could not ignore it. It was definitely her, they both thought. Even as Mayuri was shaking a little and Ren was pondering with deeper thoughts, they could not forget the mother who created them.
Mio Takamiya.
And as they come to a certain door, it would automatically open for them to go in.
"...!"
As they stopped a few meters from the door, there were individuals just nearby a med-bay. One was Mio Takamiya, resting on the hospital bed. And among the individuals that they recognized, there were two.
"Ah, Papa, Mayuri-oneechan, Ren-oneechan!" Rio made a bright expression on her face.
"Rinne, Rio," Mayuri made a surprised expression. What she noted however was that they were currently in their Astral Dresses, though a bit different.
"Mayuri-chan, Ren-san," Rinne Sonogami, their sister, would utter as she immediately dashes towards Mayuri and embraces her, surprising the latter.
"Thank goodness, both of you are safe," Rinne said, her tone carrying relief.
"...Reine...But..huh, who are..." Mana, while speaking, would grimace a little as certain memories were starting to come back. She lightly grimaced a little, putting her hand to her face as she uttered a word that she never thought to hear. "...Rinne...? Sonogami...Rinne...? Wha..."
Mana was confused, a mixture of emotions swirling within her.
Who was she? Who was Rinne Sonogami?
She had never really met this woman before. And yet, the odd part is that she is receiving memories that never seem to match up with her. From what her new memories were showing, it appeared that this woman was her Nii-sama's childhood friend...and also his wife?!
"Wait what?!" Mana sported a shocked expression, looking back and forth between Shidou and Rinne.
"Shinichiro!" Kasumi Kida would dash towards Shinichiro and give him a hug, showing a sign of worry.
Shinichiro would simply smile and gently pat her on the bag. "Sorry for making you worry, Kasumi."
"Hm?" Ren would take note of the adult woman with a lab coat standing nearby, sensing a different type of energy and signature. She can tell that this woman was not human. In fact, she noted one other presence in this room that was also not human, though she was of another signature.
It was a young beautiful woman wearing a dark blue magical girl outfit, with black ebon hair, bluish undecipherable and curious eyes, and a strange stick with a star attached held by her hand. Unlike the more holy signature of the adult doctor woman, this woman looked...odd. Traces of dark energy, but suppressed if not replaced with an entirely different elemental structure of a holy kind of energy, among other energies that all gather upon the woman like a well honed conductor. But that wasn't all that the Spirits noted.
"...Who...Who are you?" Ren could not help but ask, raising her eyebrows a bit. Aside from Ren, Mayuri, as she let her face turn towards the same direction where she would also take notice of the woman, would note the same thing that Ren felt.
"...Huh?" Mayuri became bewildered.
"...What?" Mana was confused as well, even if she did not sense this woman's aura as much as the Spirits did, for she didn't know who this person was.
All three of them, and Rinne in turn as well, would pay close attention to one Sona Sitri. For the Spirits, her exuding aura and signature were very eerily similar to Shidou Itsuka. That was...quite odd. There was also a strange link that the Spirits in particular could all detect from Sona, one connecting to the same boy that they were all thinking of. What made Mayuri and Ren paid close attention was that the connection was very similar to how Rinne Sonogami is connected to Shidou Itsuka. Both have the exact same connection, but of a different wavelength and nature. The Spirits, including Mana, would all look to Shidou for a little explanation, but...
...Shidou would smile a little, but it was quite sad and resigned. On the one hand, this is Mayuri and Ren, Shidou thought. They among Spirits wouldn't really be too much against his relationship with Sona as much as maybe some of them would. At best, they would be rather curious, maybe even a little prodding, and questions that they would like to ask Sona in private. Though in relation to Mana, he wondered what would her reaction be, and that is in spite of the fact that she never really met Rinne in any
"OHHHHHHHHO~!"
And well, the other aforementioned golden brown-haired childhood friend, Kyoko Akizuki, just had to be a bit too excited as she would sprint from multiple angles and circles, making the three Spirit sisters bewildered.
"Oh, Oh, Oh, this one, and especially these two, Mayuri-chan and Ren-chan, right? Oh, I've heard so much about you three from Shidou!" And then, Kyoko would grab both Mayuri and Ren's hands and she joined them together with her hands. "Hello to you both, my name is Akizuki Kyoko, childhood friend of Itsuka Shidou. But oh, I'm not a romantic interest whatsoever, so rest assured on my word as an Akizuki!" She said all of this as one of her eyes closed and she sported a cheeky smile that seemed to comfort the mood of those around her.
"...Huh?" Mana, Mayuri, and Ren were poorly confused, blinking their eyes, while Rinne could only close her eyes and made an exasperated and empathetic smile, followed by a half-hearted laugh, and it is one mostly in relation to her two sisters, understanding why they felt confused, as she too was just as bewildered as they were when she first met the very energetic Kyoko Akizuki.
And then suddenly...
"OW!"
Shinichiro would suddenly come to the rescue, sporting a deadpanned expression as he wack Kyoko a little in the head. Kyoko would hold her head a bit with both of her hands before she glared at Shinichiro.
"What the heck was that for, Shinichiro?!" Kyoko exclaims.
"Idiot, it had to be done, you're making them just as confused as Rinne-san was the first time," Shinichiro spoke with an exasperated tone while Kasumi, who was standing just behind Shinichiro, could not help but react similarly to Rinne, with her half-hearted laugh and closed eyes.
Shidou in the meantime could not help but smile a little if only because he was grateful for Kyoko defusing the tensions of the atmosphere. After...
...After what had happened recently, they needed it.
But another surprise soon awaited Shidou and his family and friends who all gathered throughout the room. The automatic door opened again, revealing a young woman wearing a Kuoh Academy female uniform, with long brown hair and yellow eyes. Both of her hands were on her waist. Everyone would turn to face the woman, and Shidou widened his eyes a little. The same surprised expressions can be said for those who are familiar with her as well such as Kyoko, Kasumi, Shinichiro, and Sona.
"Suzuha?!" Shidou said.
"Ohaaa! Hi, Sarge, looks like we got another personal problem on our hands," The aforementioned Suzuha Amane waved one of her hands a little in a casual fashion, smiling. But underneath the smile was one of concern due to the recent events that came about in Tenguu City. In fact, her eyes tend to slightly focus more on the Spirits that were present in the room.
"("...Looks like Eagle wasn't kidding. Sarge's wife and daughter, Sarge's mother, Sarge's aunt, and two other Spirits in Sarge's life had shown themselves. I can understand why he sounded worried now...")" Suzuha thought grimly.
"Eh?" As all of the Spirits in the room sported surprised expressions, Rinne in turn grew from surprise to attentiveness and curiosity.
Sarge, Rinne thought. By the English term that was used as an address, would that mean that she's also connected with Shidou? Rinne found yet another person that is close with her husband. It reminded her of the goal to not only rediscover the future present, to rediscover this new universe, but also to find out about a period in her husband's life that never was for her.
"...Is that..." Mio muttered, her eyes looking at Suzuha, recognizing her among the people that she saw on her trip to the unknown void.
"Welp, I suppose that I should introduce myself to everyone," Suzuha spoke with a smile before turning serious as she made a respectful salute and posture, raising her right hand. And the salute was directly first and foremost towards her Sarge. "Hello, everyone, my name is Amane Suzuha, second in command of Sergeant Itsuka Shidou. My rank is Corporal. My code designation is Attractor Convertor. My serial number is KS24820. I hope that we can all get along well."
"Second in command?" Ren muttered with a raised eyebrow.
"Of Shidou?" Mayuri muttered with a surprised tone.
"Nii-sama?" Mana would look at Shidou. At the same time, both Spirits turned to the aforementioned boy for an answer.
Shidou sighs a little, thinking that this is going to be a very long discussion, which would be an understatement.
"...Alright, girls, everyone, before I begin the explanations, let's all head to the med-bay. There we can discuss everything you want to know and put up to speed with," Shidou would look at the woman in doctor's clothing, Chisato Hasegawa. "Sensei, I think your presence would be more than appreciated as I explain everything."
"I would of course do my best on the matter, Itsuka-kun," Chisato spoke with a professional tone.
And so, they all gathered in the med-bay. Chisato would prepare chairs for everyone to sit on. Shidou would in turn sit near the bedside of his mother as he held one of her hands while he was also gently patting his daughter on the head. Rinne was also right beside him, preferring to remain standing as she holds on to his shoulders. The same could be said for Sona as she stands up near the other side of the bed.
"Now then, for the sake of explanations," Sona would suddenly speak in turn, making everyone pay close attention. "I would like to introduce myself first and foremost. My name is Sona Sitri, Heiress of the House of Sitri, and I am what is known as a devil, so I am not human."
"Devil?" Ren muttered. She didn't seem surprised. And neither did Mayuri as both looked at the woman and found her rather odd to look at.
"...If I were to ask, Sitri-san, just...what is your relationship with Itsuka Shidou?" Mayuri asks.
"Itsuka Shidou is my husband," Sona would state with confidence and professionalism, much to the shock of Mayuri, Ren, and Mana. Her left hand was placed towards her chest. "And I am his wife, his second to be precise, having been happily married to him for over two and a half years."
"Wait, wait, wait, wait! WHAT?!" Mana would wave her hands a little, as if trying to process just what she had just heard.
"And well, to introduce myself as well in order to not be lacking for those who have yet to actually know me, my name is Sonogami Rinne, and I am married as well to Itsuka Shidou, the first to marry him on the altar," Rinne smiled a little.
"Wha...Wha...Wha...Wha..."
With both Mayuri and Ren looking back and forth between Sona and Rinne, both looking mindboggled, Mana in turn was not having an easy time wrapping her head around the concept. Her Nii-sama? Married to two women?
As soon as Mana turns to Shidou for a proper explanation, with concerns about Shidou being a double-timing playboy or polygamist coming to the forefront as much as she did not think Nii-sama to be the type, all of her thoughts come to a halt when she sees a very serious Shidou Itsuka who sighs heavily.
"...If you girls want explanations, then buckle up, because it is a very long story," Shidou would turn to Suzuha who would also stand nearby Sona. "Suzuha, I'm gonna need your help to explain everything."
"Of course, Sarge," Suzuha nodded with a serious expression.
And so, the very long explanations would begin as Shidou, along with his subordinate, begins to tell their respective tale.
But it did not start with the present day. No, it started during the time when there was a War. A War that neither had a beginning nor an end. A War of many titles. A War that forever silenced and haunted the Multiverse.
The Last Great Time War.
