Boris Yeltsin: Thanks and yes indeed, that was him, well, in canon he more came off to me as being homophobic, but like everything else with him, it was understated due to how distant he is.
Now onto the story.

Chapter 10
"C'mon pussy, get up!"
But even when he tried to, he was just shoved back down. Mike grit his teeth, he had endured this before, but now that he was facing it yet again, it was getting on his nerves.
'Urgh, for...Troy and James still keep…' The prone boy noted with a groan as he tried again, only for the foot on his back to push down and floor him again.
Troy laughed derisively. "Ha, poor frog-face doesn't even know how to stand up."
James snickered but before he could retort another voice cut in.
"Maybe it's because you clearly struggle standing yourself and he's helping you keep your balance."
Both Troy and James turned, glaring as Mike used that chance to pull himself up onto his knees, seeing who had come to his aid, although he knew right away from the voice who it was.
"Will." He breathed in relief.
It was indeed Will, who was actually glaring, for probably the first time since Mike had known him, Will was glaring and looked angry. James merely scoffed and shook his head.
"Aww, little fairy wants to try his luck." He mocked.
But Troy, ever the cowardly bully, didn't want to risk anything now things were even.
He just shook his head. "C'mon James, let's get to class, frog-face's probably hoping to get his wounds kissed better anyway. We all know how they are, don't wanna see them being so sickening, c'mon James."
Laughing they walked off while Will rolled his eyes and Mike got to his feet.
"You okay Mike?" Will asked, concerned.
Mike nodded and sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Same old shit, you know."
Will sighed too but didn't say anything else as he followed Mike, the two of them heading for class too. It wasn't the first and likely wouldn't be the last time Troy and James gave Mike and Will hassle about their 'perceived' sexuality. What neither of them knew of course was that Troy and James were actually pretty accurate on that, not realizing how the other really felt.
XXXXX
As he finished cleaning one of the tables in the canteen area of the F.E.A.S.T. Centre, Will looked up and smiled lightly as he watched Mike. Mike wasn't actually scheduled for one of his volunteering shifts, but he had come anyway.
'Typical of Mike...hell, he went through that nightmare at school with Troy and James, but, here he is.' Will reflected. 'How does he do it huh? I mean, I'm doing this, my school work and being Spider-Man. But, Mike, after all he's dealt with. He still makes time to come here.'
With no scheduled shifts Mike hadn't been given any specific duties, so he was taking the time to spend with Jackson. Jackson was a kindly old man who had simply been unlucky in life and ended up losing his home and had no living family members which left him with nothing. He had a fondness for chess and even now he and Mike were engaged in a game.
Will was still smiling as he shook his head and returned to his cleaning. 'Mike's gonna lose, and he knows it, but he plays anyway, just so Jackson has someone to play against.'
Once again he was amazed and touched by Mike's kind heart, even with all the torment he had suffered at school, as well as his apparently difficult home life, based on what he had told him, his father being indifferent while his mother did her best, but they just didn't seem to really understand each other, at least according to Mike.
The thought of it touched Will deeply.
'It just goes to show...I have those powers, I do what I have to do to keep the city safe. But if anyone was to ask me, Mike's a bigger hero than I am...a real everyday hero.'
Still smiling he resumed his work until Joyce approached him.
"Mom?"
"Will, could you take this up to Mr. Creel." She said, passing him a package. "I'll finish up here for you."
Will smiled and nodded. "No problem."
With that he began to carry the package upstairs, towards Mr. Creel's office. But as he approached he saw the door open and to his shock, Mayor Osborn exited the office.
"Just remember, Mr. Creel." He was saying, almost like a parting shot. "We need results, justification, or we'll be forced to take action."
With that he turned and walked out, not even seeing Will who was uneasy as he looked after him. But he quickly remembered the package and made his way to the office, gently easing inside.
"Mr. Creel?"
Henry looked up, grimacing, he looked tense, on edge.
"Oh, Will." He greeted him, doing his best to resume his air of calm. "What can I do for you?"
"Um, mom wanted me to give this to you." He said, putting the package on the desk. "Is, everything okay sir, I saw Mayor Osborn…?"
Creel shook his head. "Oh, it's nothing to worry about Will, thank you, take care."
He was even more shocked at how distant Mr. Creel was acting, something wasn't right, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it, not like this, so he simply went back to his work, all the while worried about Mr. Creel and wondering what the visit from the mayor was about.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
