Brittany's Point of View

There we were, back at the castle in Radiant Gardens. Dad had been waiting for us and was there when we left the dark corridor. "Perhaps now would be a good time for you to tell me what I have missed," Ansem stated.

I turned to Dad. "Can I explain things to Aqua while they explain things to Ansem? I know a bit about what happened to her," I requested.

"Alright. Let's go find someplace you two can talk," Dad prompted.

I turned back to Aqua. "Come with me. I'll tell you about what has become of Terra and Ventus," I said.

"You know Terra and Ven?" Aqua gasped.

"I know of them. Come on. I'll explain everything," I urged. We followed my dad to the library and sat down at one of the tables.

"Please, tell me what you know about Terra and Ven," Aqua pleaded.

"I'm afraid I don't know how much help I can be. As far as I know, Ventus is still sleeping in The Land of Departure, or rather, as it became, Castle Oblivion. I can, however, tell you that Ventus's heart resides in Sora's. He's my dad's friend," I started.

"What?!" Dad interrupted.

"Sora? Isn't that the name of that little boy on the island? But then..." Aqua trailed off and turned to Dad. "You're Riku, aren't you? From the island?"

"Y-Yes. Do I know you?" Dad asked.

Aqua shook her head. "No. Not really. I was just passing through when you were just a boy. If you're an adult now... I've been gone too long." Aqua turned back to me. "You said you know about Terra as well. What happened to him?"

"Terra's a little more tricky. Remember when you fought him before you ended up in the Realm of Darkness? He got that way because Xehanort tried to take over his body. I think something went wrong because he had amnesia for a time. Eventually, he split into two beings. A Heartless and a Nobody. They're both in the new Organization XIII," I explained.

"I'm afraid I don't understand. What do you mean by a Heartless and a Nobody?" Aqua inquired.

Realization hit me. "Oh... oh, you don't know anything. Oh. Heartless are- you were fighting the Heartless in the Realm of Darkness. Those were those creatures. They're... Dad, a little help?"

"Heartless are what becomes when someone casts their heart to the darkness. When a person with a strong will becomes a Heartless, they leave an empty shell called a Nobody, which are beings without hearts. Lesser Nobodys take orders from stronger Nobodys like Xehanort's," Riku explained.

"It still doesn't make sense to me," Aqua sighed.

"You'll get it," Dad reassured her.

"You're probably tired. You should rest," I realized.

"No, I can't stop. Not when Terra and Ven are still out there. I have to help my friends," Aqua insisted.

"You won't be any good to your friends like this. I'll take you to a free room, and you can focus on resting up. Your friends will still be around tomorrow," Dad remarked.

"Okay then... If that's what it takes," Aqua decided.

That night, I was about to fall asleep when I heard a soft knock at my door. I opened it to find Ienzo. "May I come in?" He asked.

I turned the light on and let Ienzo in, shutting the door behind us to reduce any noise we made so we didn't wake people up. "What's up?"

"I wanted to thank you. Without you, I'm not sure we could have gotten Master Ansem back," Ienzo said.

"I'm glad," I smiled.

"Brittany, I want to show you something. Will you come with me?" Ienzo requested.

"Now?" I wondered.

"Now is the best time," Ienzo replied.

"Yeah, okay. Let's go," I sighed. I had hoped to get some sleep, but curiosity got the best of me.

FanFictionReader225: It wasn't a very important chapter so you don't have to worry about it. The only thing to that chapter was that Molly's powers and keyblade would have been locked or else she could've used it sooner. If they were locked then someone would have had to unlock them for her to have summoned her keyblade. I was just explaining how Namine was unlocking her keyblade and powers from inside of Kairi.
