Alison's Point of View

The following day, I found a note and a pouch on the small table beside my bed. I picked up the note and read it.

"I think we got off on the wrong foot. I'd like to take you out today and get to know you better. I got special permission from your old man, so you don't have to worry about that. Let's have dinner somewhere nice, my treat. You can buy yourself something pretty with the munny in the pouch if you're into that sort of thing, or you can use it on whatever. I don't really care. See you then,

Though I was confused by the note, I saw how much munny was in the pouch and decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. "Oh, Moogle!" I sang.

I used some of the munny to buy makeup and saved the rest. I put on my black dress, pumps, and chocker before putting my makeup on. I didn't know where Vanitas planned to take me but judging by the pouch of munny, I assumed it was someplace nice.

There was a knock at my door. I thought it was Vanitas, but to my surprise, it was Saix. "So I wanted to discuss with you what-" He stopped as he noticed my appearance.

"Vanitas wanted to start over. He's taking me out to a nice restaurant tonight. He said my father knows about it," I explained.

Saix laughed so hard I wondered if he was okay. "This is rich. He's taking you out to a nice dinner, and you're dressed like that. There is no possible way he can deny it. Or you, for that matter."

My eyes narrowed. "Just what are you insinuating, Saix?"

"Ask Vanitas. He knows," Saix said smugly before walking away.

"Weird," I muttered.

Vanitas came for me. I was slightly disappointed to see that Vanitas was in his black coat. I felt foolish and overdressed. "You look... um... what's the word? Pretty, I think?" Vanitas said.

I raised my eyebrow. "You think?"

"Um... I'm sorry. I'm bad at this. I've never..." Vanitas trailed off. His face started turning red. "Let's just go," He snapped.

When I saw Vanitas blush, I understood what Vanitas was trying to do, which caused my face to do the same. I followed Vanitas through the dark corridor, and we came out into a city. I read the sign and gasped to discover I was in front of Tiana's Palace, the restaurant Tiana owned at the end of The Princess and the Frog. We entered and were taken to our seats by a hostess. Before sitting down, Vanitas takes his coat off to reveal a black suit with a white shirt and a red tie underneath. My face grew warm once more as I saw that he had dressed nice after all.

We ordered our drinks and started a conversation. "I can't believe you brought me here, of all places," I commented.

"Why? is it bad?" Vanitas panicked.

"Not at all. In fact, this is probably one of the best places you could have taken me to. You know how what are apparently historical events of Sora's lifetime are in the form of a video game in my world?" I asked.

"Um, yeah," Vanitas replied.

"There's so much more than that. The events of this world are a movie in my world. In fact, at the end of the movie, the main character, Tiana, ends up owning this restaurant. I can't believe I'm actually sitting here. I never thought this place even existed, but here we are," I smiled.

Vanitas flashed a prize-winning grin at me. "Yep. I'm that good," He joked.

We laughed. Shortly after, our drinks were brought, and we ordered our food. I ordered Tiana's gumbo and Vanitas got the same. When the waitress left, I turned the conversation back to the events in the Realm of Darkness. "Remember when I said I had a friend I was talking to in the Realm of Darkness?"

"Yeah. He was in that group with the original Organization, right? I didn't see you talking to him, but I assume it was one of them."

"I know what you said about him turning me in to Sora, but you're wrong," I stated.

"Alison, how can you even say that? You don't know him. Even if he was in the game, that was a long time ago," Vanitas scoffed.

"I do know him!" I snapped. I was drawing some attention, so I lowered my voice. "I know him personally, and he would never put me in harm's way."

"Even if that were true, would you be safer with them than you are with us? I know that sounds like a stupid question, but you have to think about this one. You're practically being guarded by twelve men with more combat experience than you. Where would this guy hide you? What if you were found? You gotta think about this stuff," Vanitas brought up.

"I hadn't thought about it like that," I admitted.

The waitress brought the food to our table, and we started eating. I savored every bite, still in awe of the thought that I was eating at Tiana's actual restaurant. When I was finished, I asked my final question for the night. "Do you know anything about Brittany? How she's doing or where she is now?"

"I wish I did, but I don't know much about her other than she's in Radiant Gardens, which you knew," Vanitas replied. I could feel my smile falter. "But if I find anything out, you'll be the first to know."

"Thanks, Vanitas. And thank you for tonight. You were- tonight was really something," I said.

After Vanitas paid the check, he opened a dark corridor. "I need to make an extra stop before we go back. It's one I think you'll like."

"Um, okay. Sure," I replied before curiously following Vanitas through the darkness.

FanFictionReader225: I totally cracked up when I saw your review. I should have Brittany say that if I ever get Brittany and Alison back together.

TELLTALEGIRL: I'm really glad you like how Saix is a good guy. Somebody on Alison's side needs to be and it couldn't be any Xehanorts and Xigbar is too annoying.

v.t.7: I think that the whole Saix like a big brother to Van thing ("Vanitas!" Vanitas shouts at sailorsenshi13.") anyway, I think that it's pretty cute and opens up for some cute moments with Saix and Vanitas.
