180 days before the incident.
I've been staring at my recently accomplished form on my hand. I really do not want to mail this, but Neiji never stops nagging me about it. I wish I could tell them I can never be a doctor. I know I am not stupid but I am not smart enough to be one of the best doctors in the country.
"Hey, are you alright?" The familiar voice of Sasuke breaks my reverie.
"Yes I am. Why?"
"You've been staring at that paper for quiet awhile."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Have you been forced by your parents to do something that you don't like?" I suddenly asked him.
"Of course." He said a little curious. "Why did you ask?"
"Because I felt like being trapped."
He does not say anything, so I continue. "I don't want to pursue a career in medicine. I feel like I wouldn't be a good doctor. But a Hyuga who isn't involve in the field of medicine is not a Hyuga."
"Well, your father really looks like the type who will disinherit you if you will not follow his orders."
"That's really helpful you know." I said hurt, he doesn't really care. What do I expect from him?
"I'm just pointing the fact that it is really useless to try and disobey him."
"I know that already." I said getting irritated.
"But if your really don't want to, you better tell him."
"That's easy to say."
"You will not know if you won't try."
"Even if I try it will not change anything. He'll just get mad and I will still take up medicine."
"You're really afraid of your father."
"Of course. How about you?"
"Afraid of your father?" I rolled my eyes at his attempt to joke. "Nah, you will not believe me when I say I am not. But my father does not really care about me you know. I am lucky he has Itachi."
"It does not bother you?"
"No." He said shortly. "Come on, let's grab some snacks before we go home."
As usual we went to that cafe again. The mean white haired man is sitting there with a red hair girl. He gave us a smirk when he saw us. I bowed down my head,he is making me feel uncomfortable.
"This way." I suddenly feel Sasuke behind me. And somehow I felt safe.
"Thank you."
We ordered the same thing. We did not talk much, but this kinda became our thing. It feels good to have a company even though he is quiet.
"Hey, I am sorry but I got to go." He suddenly said after checking his phone. "Naruto is looking for me."
"Oh sure." I said a little bit disappointed.
"Can you go back to school alone?"
"Of course I can. See you in class tomorrow."
"Yeah, see you."
I watched him walked away. I almost forgot that he has other friends aside from me. Well, I don't really know if he considers me as one, but I hope he does.
Then the white haired guy smiled at me again. Knowing that Sasuke is no longer around, I felt scared what if he does something crazy? I decided to hide in the washroom, hoping that when I come out, he is no longer there.
"Hey!" Someone tapped me at my shoulder. I almost scream. "Don't be scared."
It is the red hair girl. She gave me a smile.
"Oh, hi." I said, my eyes roamed around the washroom, but there's nobody there except the two of us.
"I won't do anything bad to you. I just want to ask you for a little help."
Oh no, is she being abused by the white haired guy? I wish Sasuke is still here.
"What's that?" I asked nervously.
"The black haired guy with you, is he your boyfriend?"
"No." Wait, will it be safer if I said yes.
"Oh I am glad he is not. I often see him here alone, this is the first time I saw him with someone. Could you give this to him? "She said and handed me a box,her face is as red as her hair.
"What's this? " I asked taking the box.
"Just a chocolate I made." She said opening the box.
"Oh I see. I will give this to him."
"Please, give it directly to him. I really do like him but my brother, the white haired weirdo there, thinks I am crazy for having a crush on your friend. I can't approach him while my brother is near."
"Don't worry. I'll give him this. But since he already left, I will give this to him tomorrow morning."
"Thank you! I have to go. My brother's probably waiting for me."
"Ok." I said with a smile.
Sasuke Uchiha, is really a girl magnet. I hope he won't throw this. These chocolates look delicious, I wonder if he will give me.
When I went out, they were no longer there.
On my way back, I spotted Sasuke's group inside a fancy looking restaurant. He is with Naruto, Kiba, Shikamaru and Sakura. I wonder why Ino is not with them. When Sakura noticed me looking at them, she raised one of her eyebrows. I bowed down my head and continue walking. I do not know if Sasuke sees me too. But a few feet away from the restaurant, in the corner where his car is, someone touched my shoulder.
"Eeep" I almost shout.
"Relax, it is just me." I heard Sasuke's voice.
"You almost gave me a heart attack." I said.
"No one's picking you up?"
I just shook my head. "Anyway, what are you doing here outside?"
"I'm about to get my phone." He said.
"Oh. Right. Some girl wants me to give this to you." I said handing him the box. I am really hoping he won't throw it away.
"I see." He said and carelessly throw it inside his car. " I have to go."
"Yeah, see you around."
"Do you want me to drive you home? "
I was surprised at his offer but I decline it.
"There's no need. Enjoy your time with them." I said with smile and walked away.
