Molly's Point of View
In the morning, Alison left with Terra and Vanitas to get some of our things. I was stuck here learning about keyblades with Master Eraqus. 😛 It sucks. "So that is how the first keyblade was formed." Master Eraqus explained. I raised my hand. "Yes Molly?" He sighed. "Why am I learning this?" I groaned. "Because learning about keyblades is just as important as learning how to use your keyblade." Master Eraqus said patiently. "Can I learn how to fight now?" I grumbled. Master Eraqus sighed. "Alright. I will teach you how to do fire." He yeilded. "Brittany says that the only magic that does her any good is heal." I mentioned. "That's because Brittany has only used magic in a video game." He remarked. I guess that makes sense.
"Summon your keyblade." He instructed. I did so. "Think about heat. Warmth. Fire. Anything hot. You'll know when you can cast it." He ordered.
I started to think of the warmth of Mommy's arms. Nothing happened. 'Hotter.' Daddy's arms surrounding me with love. 'You'll have to think hotter than that.' Light's arms? 'Get creative. Try not to think of heat in the form of embrace.' Um... than what am I supposed to think of? 'Maybe try fire.' I think of a hot fire. I still don't feel anything. 'This is going to be a long day.'
"Are you having trouble Molly?" Master Eraqus asked. "A little." I admitted. "How about we try having you get close to a fire. There's a fireplace inside that I can light a fire in." He suggested. I followed him as he walked inside.
I'm no good. 'You'll get it. Maybe this will help you. Sometimes a reminder is all it takes.' I hope so. I don't want to make Master Eraqus upset on my first day. 'He won't get upset with you. He didn't get where he is through impatience.' Are you sure? 'I'm sure. You don't have anything to worry about. Eraqus is a reasonable person. You don't need to fear making him angry because you're struggling with doing something. I would know. I was once inside him as I am in you now.' That's right. What was he like back when he started training? 'Frightened. Unlike you, he knew nothing of keyblades and other worlds prior to his master finding him.' Oh.
He stopped in some room that had a fireplace in it and lit a fire with a fire spell. I walked to the fire, being careful not to get too close. I summoned my keyblade once more and thought of that intense heat. Focused on it. Concentrated. I still don't feel anything.
So that's it for this chapter. The next chapter is going to be 100. I'm so excited. I've got a special chapter planned.
