Molly's Point of View
That night couldn't come soon enough as I eagerly awaited the time Mommy and Daddy decided it would be appropriate to call my older brother. Finally, the moment arrived. "Molly, I've got Kai on the phone. Are you ready?" Daddy asked while holding his phone.
"Yes! Let me talk to him already!" I squealed excitedly.
"Here you go," Daddy said as he handed me the phone.
"Hello?" I greeted.
"Hi, Molly. I'm Kai. You're on speaker. I'm here with Brittany and a couple of my friends," Kai replied.
"Hi, Brittany. I miss you," I mentioned.
"I miss you too. Family Day is coming up quickly, though. It'll be here before you know it. Then you can see me and meet Kai. Also Jim Hawkins and Melody," Brittany reminded.
"Who are Jim Hawkins and Melody?" I asked.
Brittany sighed. "From Treasure Planet and The Little Mermaid?"
"Oh! They'll be there? That's cool," I stated.
"From what now?" Melody's voice wondered.
"Just cool? This is amazing!" Brittany shouted.
"I like Elsa better," I commented.
"Well, yeah, sure, but did you meet Elsa?" Brittany pointed out.
"Yes," I answered.
"Wait, what?! You met Elsa?! You didn't even tell me!" Brittany exclaimed.
"I'm confused," Kai mentioned.
"That's okay, buddy. You wouldn't get it. It's a sister thing," Brittany remarked.
"Eh, okay, I guess? Well, it's gotten pretty late. You should go back to your dorm and get some sleep. I need to as well. I'll see you later, Molly," Kai decided.
"Bye, Brittany," I said.
"Bye, Molly," Brittany replied.
"What about me?" Kai questioned.
"Oh, yeah. Bye, Kai," I added.
"Bye, Molly," Kai stated before hanging up the phone.
I gave Daddy his phone back. "I'm done," I announced.
"Did you have a good talk with your brother?" Daddy wondered.
"It was okay, I guess. Brittany was there," I commented.
"Yeah, Brittany was there. What about Kai?" Daddy pressed.
"I mean, Kai was okay. I don't know him very well," I explained.
"I see. I suppose you just need to spend more time with him. He really wants to have a relationship with you," Daddy mentioned.
"With me? Why?" I inquired.
"You're his little sister. You don't want to have a relationship with your older brother?" Daddy questioned.
"Sora, Kai has known about her for a long time. She has only known about him for a day. Let it be for now. They'll become true siblings in time," Mommy assured him before turning to me. "It's about time for you to get to bed. We'll see you in the morning. Goodnight, Molly."
"Right. Goodnight." I stated.
"Goodnight, Molly. Have good dreams, little butterfly," Daddy smiled.
You may have noticed that the cover has changed. This is because I will be doing my own artwork from here on out. I'm still learning, but I've been improving. I know that this cover isn't exactly great, but I hope to work on it and update it when it's ready. For now, I just wanted to start putting my own artwork up as a cover.
Samantha: I'm glad. I was a little worried that I was overdoing it.
