Alison's Point of View
"Dad says to get up!" Clarissa shouted. I opened my eyes and sat up groggily.
"I don't wanna," Lucy grumbled.
"You have to. Dad said so," Lucy reminded.
"I don't have to do anything. Go away, Rissa," Lucy replied.
Clarissa ran out of the room. "Dad! Lucy's not getting up!"
I didn't want to get in trouble with Braig, so I hopped out of bed. Lucy looked like she was asleep again. Braig came into the room. "Lucy, I asked Clarissa to wake you. Get up now," Braig ordered.
"Five more minutes," Lucy groaned before putting a pillow over her head.
"Not five more minutes. Now," Braig insisted before making his way to Lucy and snatching the pillow from her. "Get up. Don't make me repeat myself." Lucy didn't budge. "Alison, go wait downstairs."
He didn't have to tell me twice. I was out of there as fast as my legs could go. I was still in my pajamas, but I supposed that didn't matter. Clarissa, who was waiting outside the room, took my hand. "Come one. Mr. Ienzo made breakfast," She urged. She practically dragged me downstairs. I heard some shouting and crashing, but I tried not to focus on that. I smelled bacon before I even made it to the dining room. It had been a long time since I had breakfast made by Mr. Zexy. Whenever he and Sora stayed the night, he would let Sora and Kairi have some extra time by making breakfast for Brittany, Molly, and me. I stepped into the kitchen. All four burners on the stove were being used. Bacon was sizzling on a pan on one burner, scrambled eggs were directly behind it, and the remaining two burners held a griddle which contained pancakes.
"Good morning, Ally," Ienzo greeted.
"Good morning. Need a hand?" I offered.
"I can always use the help. Why don't you tend to the pancakes? They're ready to be flipped. The batter's over there for when you're ready to make another batch," Ienzo suggested.
"Okay," I agreed. I began to flip the pancakes.
"How have things been?" He wondered.
"What more is there to say. I've been thrown into situation after situation, and it hasn't stopped since I was kidnapped from my home," I sighed.
"I knew as much. It's been quite a while since we've seen each other," Ienzo commented.
"I suppose it has been. Things used to be so simple," I groaned.
"They were. It was nice watching you girls grow up. I didn't think I would miss it as much as I do. Now that you all know the truth, there's no need for me to see any of you," Ienzo mentioned.
"I never thought about that. I guess I kind of miss you, too. It's still weird, though. You're you, but you're not you. Same with Sora. It's the person I have known all my life, but with the face of a video game character. It almost feels wrong," I admitted.
Ienzo's face morphed into Ian Zexy. "Better?"
Strangely, I did feel better. I could almost imagine I was back home, and he had just stayed with us overnight. "Yeah. Much better," I replied. I got the pancakes on a plate and started a second batch.
When Braig came down, he came to the kitchen. Ienzo switched his face back to normal. "Hey, Alison, I don't think I can take you to that coronation, but you can see if Sora and Kairi would be willing to bring you along," Braig suggested.
"Are they still here?" I asked.
"As far as I know. You can ask Merlin about where they are after breakfast. Lucy will take you," Braig answered.
Ienzo and I got breakfast done, and everyone came out to eat, except for Even, who was tending to Mrs. Prism. Lucy shot glares toward Braig but was pleasant with everyone else, including me. I practically wolfed down my food in excitement to see Sora and Kairi again and waited for Lucy to finish up.
I'm seriously thinking about wrapping this up soon. I've been trying to edit the past chapters and it mostly ends with me cringing. I have a loose concept in my mind of how I want to end this, but it's not a very good one in my opinion. I'll figure it out. Thanks for reading.
