Molly's Point of View

I was coloring in the living room when Daddy opened the door. "I'm home!" He called out.

I ran to him. "Daddy!" I exclaimed, hugging him. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too, butterfly. Guess what? You get to come with us this time," Daddy smiled.

"Where are we going?" I wondered.

"Well, there's a big coronation happening in Auradon. I'm good friends with a lot of the people there, so we're going to attend," Daddy explained. He walked further into the house to explain things to Grandma and Grandpa.

"Have you been okay here, Molly?" Mommy asked.

"Yeah. I've been fine. It's really quiet here since Aunt Miku is out a lot, and Grandma and Grandpa don't make much noise. I miss my sisters," I mentioned.

"I know. It's been rough. It will be a big adjustment. You know, Kai will be there. He'll be with us the entire time," Mom brought up.

"I don't know Kai. I don't know anyone anymore. I thought I knew you and Daddy, but I don't. You're someone else now. Brittany and Alison are different people, too," I grumbled.

"Molly, I'm the same as I've always been," Mommy stated.

"But you weren't Kairi before. I don't know what's real anymore," I sighed.

"Hey, we can talk more about this on the ship. Go say goodbye to your grandparents," Mommy urged.

"Kay," I replied.

I went into the sunroom, where Grandma was hugging Daddy. "Alright, Mom. I've gotta go," Daddy complained.

"Come back soon, alright?" Grandma insisted.

"You make it sound like we won't come back. It'll just be a short trip," Daddy promised.

"I never know with you," Grandma mumbled.

Grandpa noticed me. "It was great to have you around, Princess. We'll see you soon," He said, giving me a hug.

"Bye, Grandpa." I moved on to Grandma and gave her a hug. "Bye, Grandma."

"Goodbye, dear. I love you," Grandma smiled.

"You ready, Butterfly?" Daddy questioned.

"Yep," I frowned.

"Hey, why the long face?" Daddy wondered.

"It's nothing," I assured him.

"Okay. Mom, Dad, we'll see you later," Daddy added. We left, and I followed Mommy and Daddy to the Gummi Ship. After we had taken off, Daddy put the ship on autopilot. I heard him asking Mommy why I was upset, and they started talking about me. I looked out the window as we sailed through outer space.

The longer Mommy and Daddy talked about me in hushed voices, the more my frustrations grew. "This isn't real!" I finally screamed.

Daddy was the first to approach me. "Hey, I know it doesn't feel real sometimes, and things will take some getting used to, but all of this is real. I used to have thoughts like that, too. I promise all of this is real."

"You're not real. You're Sora!" I snapped.

"Hey, Molly, let's calm down, okay? Why don't you try counting to ten," Daddy suggested.

"I don't want to," I refused.

"Come on. We can't run the ship when you're down in the dumps like that. This ship runs on happy faces," Daddy reminded me.

"Then we'll crash. Nothing matters," I muttered.

"That doesn't sound like my Molly," Daddy mused. He picked me up and held me upside down. I couldn't resist laughing. "Who are you, and what have you done with my daughter, huh?"

"Daddy, stop! It's me! It's Molly!" I giggled.

"I don't know. You had a frowny face, and my Molly would never have a frowny face," Daddy teased.

"It's me, Daddy! It's really me!" I laughed.

Daddy flipped me upside right and looked at my smiling face. "Well, what do you know. It is you," He commented.

I hugged Daddy. It was a lot easier to forget about Sora when he acted like he did when he was just my dad. "I love you, Daddy," I said.

"I love you, too, Butterfly," Daddy replied.

I watched Mommy as she came closer to us. "Sora, I don't think she should come to the coronation."

"Why not? She's fine n-" Daddy started.

"His name is Sky," I interrupted. I just wanted to live out my fantasy where Sora and Kairi didn't exist. Mommy raised an eyebrow at Daddy as though to say, I told you so.

"You go. I'll stay on the ship with Molly," Daddy sighed in defeat. He looked disappointed, and I felt a twinge of regret.
