Alison's Point of View
Everyone was frozen except for me, Mal, and her friends from the Isle. "What did you do?!" I snapped.
"I gave you a chance to join me in my rule over Auradon. That is why you are not frozen with the rest," Maleficent explained. I rushed at her, keyblade in hand, but she knocked me back with a fireball. Luckily, I blocked it in time, but the flames still burned. I screamed in pain. Maleficent lifted her staff, and a magic green light came from it and went into me. My burns were healed. "You see? You clearly cannot take me on. Come and join me, dear."
I walked to Mal and her friends and went into my fighting stance. "Never."
Maleficent took Fairy Godmother's wand. "How many more times do you think you can get burned. I can assure you, that was only a small fragment of my power," She threatened.
"Leave her alone," Mal snapped.
"Oh, I haven't even gotten to you yet, young lady," Maleficent stated. She walked to King Ben and turned his head toward her. "Falling in love is weak and ridiculous." She pushed Ben's head back into place and turned back to Mal. "It's not what you want."
"You don't know what I want! Mom, have you ever once asked me what I want? I'm not you!" Mal exclaimed.
"Obviously. I've had years and years and years of practice being evil. You'll get there," Maleficent assured her.
"No. I will not. And I really wish that you had never gotten there yourself. Love is not weak or ridiculous. It's actually really amazing," Mal declared.
"I know one thing, young lady. You have no room for love in your life!" Maleficent shouted.
"And now I command, wand to my hand!" Mal ordered. The wand tore away from Maleficent and flew into Mal's hand. "It worked!"
"I hardly think so. Frankly, this is tedious and very immature. Give me the wand. Give me the wand!" Maleficent demanded.
"Hold on, Mal. Maybe good really is more powerful than evil," Carlos suggested.
"Of course it is," I added. I tried to attack her again, but she sent me flying back with a blast of darkness. I fell into the wall and gasped in pain. It was overwhelming.
Mal looked back at me. "Heal!" She yelled as I fell to the floor. I felt much better after she cast the spell and ran back to them.
"Enough! You all will regret this!" Maleficent bellowed. She turned into her dragon form. She tried breathing fire at Jay, but he dodge rolled out of the way.
Maleficent kept flying at him as he ran away from her until Evie stepped out in front of him with a small hand-held mirror in her hand. "Magic mirror, shine a bright light!" Evie commanded. A light came from the mirror, and Evie pointed it at Maleficent's eye.
Mal shoved Evie out of the way. "Leave my friends alone!" Mal yelled. Maleficent seemed to stop coming toward us. "This is between you and me, Mother." Maleficent's eyes glowed green as Mal began to chant. "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before four hearts as one. The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before four hearts as one. The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before four hearts as one."
In a cloud of smoke, Maleficent turned into a small lizard, and Fairy Godmother was reanimated. We ran toward her. "What just happened?" Carlos asked.
"I have no idea," Mal replied.
"Did you do it?" Evie questioned.
"I don't know," Mal answered.
"No, no, no, no. Your mother did. She shrank to the size of the love in her heart. That's why it's so itty-bitty," Fairy Godmother explained.
"Is she gonna be like that forever?" Mal wondered, kneeling down beside our mother.
"Well, forever is a long time. You learned to love. So can she," Fairy Godmother assured her.
"I believe this belongs to you," Mal said, giving Fairy Godmother her wand.
"You all have earned yourselves an A in goodness class," Fairy Godmother smiled. She turned around and said the magic words to break Maleficent's spell. "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!"
No one seemed to be aware of the time gap. Ben even started charging out until he realized that there were no problems. I made a beeline for Brittany, who still had her keyblade out. "What happened?" She asked.
"You missed the whole thing! Mal stood up against Maleficent, and she turned into a dragon before Mal turned her into a lizard, and you were under a spell the whole time that froze you in place," I summarized.
"Aw. I missed everything?" Brittany grumbled.
Riku approached Brittany. "There will be other battles. I'm just glad you're safe," He commented.
"What about me? I'm still technically your sister," I piped up.
"Stop reminding me. This family dynamic is too weird," Brittany groaned. Riku laughed.
Mal approached Brittany. "Hey, are you coming to the afterparty at least?" Mal asked.
"You can if you want to," Riku added.
"No. I think I need to talk to my parents," Brittany declined.
Mal turned to me. "What about you? You can come if you want. It's at the school."
"I came with a friend and don't want to leave her behind," I refused.
"She can come, too," Mal offered.
"Well... I'll ask Merlin. He brought us here, so I don't know how we would get home. I would love to join you if I can," I said.
"I'd like to start over if that's alright with you. Hi. I'm Mal, your big sister," Mal mentioned, holding her hand out to me.
Instead of taking her hand, I hugged her. "I'm Alison, your annoying little sister."
"Again, with the weird family dynamic. Come on. Let's explain everything to Merlin, and we'll see what he says," Brittany decided, grabbing my hand and practically dragging me to Merlin. He was speaking with Braig, and Lucy was standing by them.
"When did you get here?" I wondered. Braig pulled me aside while Brittany filled Merlin in.
"I saw what happened on the news and came as soon as I could. Are you okay?" Braig checked.
"Yeah. I'm fine. So, this may be a bad time to ask, but Lucy and I were invited to an afterparty. Can we go?" I requested.
Braig laughed in disbelief before he turned serious. "No."
"I wanna go. Please? Today has been the most exciting day in my entire life. Besides, that weird lady is gone now. What could happen?" Lucy tried.
"Lu, you could have been really hurt. That's enough for one day," Braig refused. Tears started coming out of Lucy's eyes. "Oh, are you kidding me? Cut it out." Lucy started whimpering. "Lucy, I said stop it."
"I worked so hard to take care of Mom, and I only wanted one night. I guess that's too much to ask, though," Lucy wined.
"Ugh, fine. Just quit with the crocodile tears," Braig grumbled.
Lucy wiped her tears away and smiled at me with a mischievous grin before hugging her father. "Thank you, Daddy."
"Yeah, yeah. Where should I get you?" Braig groaned.
"Auradon Prep," I answered.
"Fine. Call me when your party is over or if there's any trouble," Braig instructed.
"We will," I agreed.
We smiled at each other and giggled as we went back to Mal, who was with Ben and the kids from the Isle.
